Code Breaker

Kenzie's POV

I sighed trying to move my arms since Kate being the bitch she was shot me up with wolfsbane again to knock me out and I woke up chained up next to Derek with my arms bound up over my head and I now have a very similar patch taped to my side with the steady flow of electricity going through my body which was keeping us from using strength to escape which told me Kate and her minions were going to be gone awhile and she didn't want to leave me bound to the chair where I could've escaped.

I shook the cuffs again since Kate had done them up so tight and it causing my wrists to go numb and I've only been up here for an hour so I have no idea how Derek could even feel his wrists at this point given he's been chained up for over an entire day.

"Well I can definitely rule out this kind of foreplay with us, my wrists are killing me" I complained seeing Derek looking over at me.

"That's what your seriously thinking about right now?" he asked.

"Well if I think about the other thing I only worry and I have to have faith that she's okay, we taught her well after all" I frowned yanking on the cuffs again wincing slightly when the new wave of electricity went through my side. "I'm gonna kill this bitch" I growled out panting through the pain.

"Get in line" Derek spat recovering from his own shock before we both looked up hearing a howl in the distance and I smiled somehow just knowing it belonged to Scott and he'd certainly improved from his last attempt given Derek explained it sounded like a dying cat.

"He's learning" I smirked turning my head to Derek seeing him lowering his head before he let out a loud howl signaling his location and I felt my heart jump like it always did when I heard his howl…it resonated deep within me. "About bloody time…why didn't we think about that before"

"I did" Derek replied resting his head back on the metal fence we were chained up on.

"So why didn't you?" I asked confused.

"Lia…she knows our howls, she'll head for us as well" I frowned at that since he was right and that filled me with the worry I was trying to avoid.

Third Person's POV

Allison walked out of the hospital and got back into her Aunt's car still reeling from what she saw in the hospital…seeing Lydia like that put a few things into perspective but she was still finding it hard to believe that Scott was involved with any of it or the fact that the little girl that Kate had kidnapped was as bad as Kate was making her out to be just because of who her parents were.

"You getting it now?" Kate asked her niece. "Its what they do and they can't help it" she added ignoring the mumbling of the werewolf pup that was bound and mouth taped shut.

"All of them?" Allison asked.

"Yes Allison, even Scott" Kate agreed looking back at the young girl on the backseat smirking as she saw the fear on her face.

Kenzie's POV

"Come on Scott, any day now" I sighed since it's been twenty minutes since Derek howled back and there was still no sign of Scott and I was worried that Kate was going to be back soon.

"He'll be here" Derek argued and I sighed but I just knew we had to get out of here, we had to find Lia.

"You have a lot of faith in him especially considering you don't even like him" I argued back and turned to face him. "Or maybe you do and you pretend you don't" I smirked at him and he rolled his eyes at me right as we heard the metal gate creaking open and I panicked a little but when Scott stepped around the corner I sighed in relief. "About time teen wolf" I laughed but we all looked up hearing the gate creak again.

"Unlock my right cuff" Derek told him and Scott nodded quickly coming over and unlocked Derek's cuff before rushing out of the room to hide and not a couple of minutes later we saw the dude from earlier walk back in and he turned on the spotlight shining light directly onto us.

"Ready to have some more fun?" he asked and I growled baring my fangs. "To be honest, my knuckles are kind of hurting so I brought some help but I need to warn you I used to play in college" he held up a baseball bat and I jerked forward in my cuffs.

"Don't you dare" I growled and he just smirked before he swung the bat towards Derek but Derek caught it with the hand Scott had uncuffed.

"We brought a little help too" Derek said and looked over the guys shoulder making him turn and see Scott before Derek punched him and knocked him out.

"God I love you" I smiled over at him and Derek shook his head at me before he pulled the wire patch off his side as Scott walked towards us.

"Scott help me with this" Derek said nodding at his other cuff as he reached over and pulled the patch from me and I sighed in relief once the constant current was gone.

"No" Scott replied and both our heads snapped up to him.

"What?" we asked simultaneously.

"Not until you tell me how to stop Peter" he argued and I glared at him since he couldn't be serious.

"You really want to talk about this right now?" Derek asked him.

"We have a daughter to find Scott" I added angrily.

"He's going after Allison and her family, he's going to kill them" Scott argued.

"So what?" I yelled out since my daughter came before that bitch and her family.

"So tell me how to stop him"

"You can't!" Derek exclaimed. "Alright now we don't know when Kate's gonna be back so just get us out of this right now!" he continued to yell rattling his cuff. "Get us out right now!"

"Promise you's will help me"

"You want us to risk our lives for your girlfriend huh?" Derek spat back angrily. "For your stupid little teenage crush that means absolutely nothing, your not in love Scott your sixteen years old you're a child" he added and Scott nodded while I looked at Derek since we were sixteen when we started dating but then we were mates so it's different.

"Maybe your right" he agreed making me frown. "But I know something you two don't" he added looking up at us. "Peter said he didn't know what he was doing when he killed your sister right…he lied" he reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper and unfolded it. "Remember this?" he held it up and I frowned at the article of the dead deer that had brought Laura back to Beacon Hills in the first place. "This is what brought your sister back to beacon hills, right?" he asked looking at Derek.

"Where did you get that?" Derek asked him angrily.

"My boss told me three months ago someone came into the clinic asking for a copy of this picture, do you wanna know who it was…Peter's nurse, they brought your sister here so that Peter could kill her and become the Alpha and that's why you're going to help me" he turned away and I watched Derek lean back against the fence angrily. "Just say you'll help me, and I'll help you unlock your other-" Scott was cut off by the sound of Derek breaking the other cuff freeing himself.

"I'll help you" Derek nodded and I rolled my eyes.

"Little help here Hun?" I called out rattling my cuffs and Derek turned smirking as he shook his head coming over and unlocked my cuffs catching me as I fell before we gathered our belongings quickly pulling our shirts back on and Derek pulled his leather jacket over his shoulders before we left since Kate could still be back any minute leaning heavily on Scott for support as we made it out of the tunnel and started walking towards the Hale house but Derek stopped.

"Hey, hold on…hold on…hold on, something doesn't feel right" he said stopping Scott who'd kept going and I looked around since I'd been feeling it too, the moment we stepped out of the tunnels.

"What do you mean?" Scott asked looking around as well.

"He means something doesn't feel right" I said rolling my eyes towards him.

"I don't know, it's kind of like getting out of there…I don't know it was like it was…" Derek added.

"No, don't say 'too easy' people say 'too easy' and bad things happen…what do you think finding you was easy?" Scott cut him off and I rolled my eyes again since someone watched too many bad horror movies. "Getting away from Allison's Dad…none of this has been easy so if things are going right for like two seconds can we not question it, can we just shut up and thank god that we finally have the tiniest bit of luck for once" he added, Derek and I shared a look before nodding our head.

"Fine, your right" we said simultaneously.

"Thank you" Scott sang flicking his head back but that's when an arrow came out of nowhere and imbedded in Derek's shoulder.

"Derek!" I yelled running over to him but screamed when I felt pain in my left calf and fell looking down seeing an arrow there before my eyes went over to a hill and saw Allison pointing at us with her bow and Kate next to her holding…Lia!.

"Flash bolt" I heard Kate say.

"Scott your eyes!" I yelled covering my own as the flash ricocheted of the tree and Scott went down shielding his eyes from the blinding light, I groaned grabbing the arrow in my leg and snapped it pulling it out hearing Derek doing the same by his yell before we stood and each grabbed a handful of Scott's jacket and pulled him up pushing him towards the house as we hobbled behind him but the pain in my leg sent me down while Derek and Scott kept going.

"Scott go!" I heard Derek yell out before he was coming back for me but my eyes were on Kate who was dragging our daughter with her as both her and Allison stalked towards us.

"Allison, I can explain" Scott pleaded.

"Stop lying, for once stop lying" she spat back.

"I was gonna tell you the truth at the formal, I was gonna tell you everything because everything that I said, everything that I did-"

"Was to protect me" she said cutting him off

"Yes" Scott agreed.

"I don't believe you" Allison argued and I glared at her.

"Thank God, now shoot him before I have to shoot myself" Kate cut in walking up and pushed Lia towards me and she instantly crawled over to me and cowered in my arms as I wrapped them around her soothing her small sobs.

"You…you said we were just gonna catch them?" Allison asked her clearly confused.

"We did that, now we're gonna kill them" Kate argued then raised her gun and shot Derek.

"Derek!" I yelled watching him go down and not move so I moved Lia and I over to him.

"See, not that hard" I zoned Kate and everything else going on as I cupped Derek's cheeks.

"Derek…hey look at me…look at me" I tapped his cheek slightly. "Come on your not dead, you're not dead" I cried pulling at his shirt inspecting the bullet wound and shifted my claws digging through the soft flesh for the bullet and pulled it out dropping it to the ground before turning my eyes back to his face. "Derek come on…please"

"Daddy?!" Lia cried making me look up seeing tears rolling down her face and knew mine was identical.

"Kate!" my head snapped up seeing Chris had joined us. "I know what you did, put the gun down"

"I did what I was told to do" Kate argued.

"No one asked you to murder innocent people, there were children in that house ones who were human" I glared at them being reminded of the fire and looked up at the burnt house. "Look what you're doing now, you're holding a gun at a 16 year old boy with no proof he spilled human blood, we go by the code 'Nous chassons ceux qui nous chassent'…" I rolled my eyes at their family code since it was bullshit.

"We hunt those who hunt us" Allison muttered translating it.

"Put the gun down" Chris spat before firing his gun and Lia jumped letting out a small scream as my eyes widened before I saw he'd shot the tree behind Kate's head instead of her. "Before I put you down" he added but the front door of the Hale house started opening. "Allison, get back"

"What is it?" Allison asked scrambling onto her feet bouncing around scared while I pushed Lia to hide behind one of the trees warning her with my eyes to stay down and stay hidden.

"It's the Alpha" Scott said as I growled flipping out my claws reading myself to fight letting my eyes glow so I could see better in the dark seeing a blur coming dashing out of the house running around slowly knocking Chris down knocking him out…then Allison was knocked off her feet and I watched as Scott went down soon after then felt the mass run into me and I went crashing back landing atop of Derek who groaned at the sudden weight on top of him.

"Come on…come on!" I heard Kate yell out since she was the only one left standing but my focus was down on Derek whose eyes were open.

"Hi" I smiled thrilled to see he was okay.

"What's going on?" he asked right as two gunshots went off and we both looked up seeing Peter throw Kate towards the Hale house before dragging her inside.

"No!" Allison yelled and ran in after them.

"Stupid girls gonna get herself killed" I groaned quickly getting to my feet and helped Derek up.

"Lia?" Derek asked looking around and Lia peeked out before she ran over and latched onto Derek's waist. "Stay out here…both of you" he said looking up at me before he went to head inside to fight his Uncle but I grabbed his hand stopping him and pulling him back and pressed my lips against his.

"You think about dying on me and I'll kill you myself" I glared at him but he kissed me quickly again before he rushed inside the house with Scott in tow.

"Daddy!" Lia exclaimed and went to chase after him so I grabbed her and held her down.

"He'll be okay baby girl and he needs you to be strong right now" she nodded her head and clung to my neck as I looked over seeing Allison come running around the house from the back and she ran to her father.

"Dad…Dad…Dad" she shook him but he was out cold and my attention was locked on the house as I could hear growls, roars and a lot of crashes and I couldn't help it any longer.

"Lia stay here!" I exclaimed pushing her over to the tree again before I took off running towards the house getting inside just in time to see Peter throw Derek into the wall and Derek went down looking unconscious once again which forced a roar out of me which Peter turned at. "Your gonna regret that" I growled out before shifting and charged towards him clawing towards his face but he dodged each one before kicking out knocking me to the ground.

I got back up as soon as I could and watched Scott move in going for the hit but Peter grabbed him holding him as he sent swift kicks to Scott's stomach before throwing him into the wall but he recovered quickly and together we turned the situation around both slamming into Peter knocking him in the wall and his face morphed into his beast Alpha form with each hit we sent before he turned and elbowed Scott in the face before punching me in the side of my head sending me down and Scott moved back in but Peter grabbed his throat squeezing down still morphing every time Scott punched him.

Peter then threw him and Scott sailed through the air smashing into the top of the archway slumping to the ground but our attention went over to Peter as he started shifting and I shuffled back in a small amount of fear at the sight of his beast form as it was disformed and nothing like Laura's.

After Peter was done changing he stalked over to Scott picking him up and I could only watch as Scott went sailing through the air again only this time through the window smashing it disappearing outside before Peter's blood red eyes met mine then jumped through the window after Scott and I stood running outside seeing him pick Scott up by the jacket and growled into his face but Scott kicked out and knocked Peter over and before Peter had the chance to fully recover we heard a horn beeping and all our heads turned seeing a silver Porsche arrive and Stiles came running out of it and threw a beaker towards Peter but he caught it and I'm guessing that wasn't supposed to happen by Stiles' 'Oh damn' comment.

"Allison!" Scott yelled and kicked Allison's bow towards her and she caught it quickly aiming an arrow and fired it before Peter had the chance to throw the beaker at her and it exploded engulfing Peter's arm in flames.

Peter tried shaking the flames out but Jackson suddenly threw another one and Peter's whole body erupted into flames as he roared and growled before running off but he didn't get far and we watched as he shifted back and was nothing more than burnt flesh as he choked and fell back right as Lia came running up to me and I grabbed her hand running back into the house to check on Derek.

"Derek come on, wake up" I shook his shoulder. "Enough with the sleeping beauty act" I tapped his cheek again.

"Daddy wake up!" Lia exclaimed and Derek's eyes shot open and he sat up abruptly.

"Peter?"

"We got him" I smiled and he frowned confusing me before he stood and walked outside with Lia and I following him to a certain point as he walked over to where Peter lied still fight for his breath.

"Wait!" Scott yelled running over when Derek knelt over Peter. "You said the cure comes from the one who bit you" I frowned since didn't he realize that had been a lie, there is no cure. "Derek…if you do this I'm dead" I could see the conflict in Derek but I knew nothing was going to change his mind and it shouldn't, after all this he deserved his families power…it rightfully belonged to him. "Her father, her family…what am I supposed to do?" Scott asked him.

"You've…already…decided" Peter growled out and I glared at him. "I can smell it on you!" was his last words as his eyes glowed but Derek pulled back his hand and slashed his throat ending his life.

"Wait, no, no don't!" Scott yelled out during this and stared shocked as Derek stood and turned around looking at all of us and his eyes glowed blood red.

"I'm the Alpha now" he said his voice raw and animalistic.

The next morning we were sitting in the motel room, Lia out cold in our bed while Derek and I sat on the floor at the base of it taking in the last previous 24hrs…better yet the last couple of weeks since a lot and everything had changed in what seemed like a heartbeat and my mind was racing with thoughts trying to catch up with it all.

"I can't read your mind Kenz" Derek spoke up after what seemed like hours and I guess it had been.

After Derek had killed Peter we took his body hiding in the underground tunnels as the Sheriff came and investigated Kate's body and after that it was Derek pretended to turn himself in and of course he got exonerated so he was free and after that we came back to the motel for the lack of anywhere else to go and Lia had passed out almost straight away but Derek and I hadn't talked at all since last night so when he spoke it was a surprise.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to say Derek, my minds racing to catch up with everything that's happened since we've come back here" I sighed turning to him crossing my legs putting my hands in my lap. "But I do know we need to have a serious think about what were going to do now and talk about it" he sighed looking like he wanted to avoid this conversation.

"I do know that we agreed never to raise Lia here but things have changed and I think it's a good idea that we stay here" I frowned.

"You know the Argents are going to come after us, they're going to hold us accountable for the bitches death"

"Which is why I'm going to build a pack, we'll protect ourselves"

"Wouldn't it be easier for us to just leave, go back to New York"

"They'll just follow us Kenzie, your said it yourself the Argents are going to blame us and nowhere we go is going to change that, we know this area and I think we should stay" I sighed since he did have a point, we knew Beacon Hills and the Argents would just follow us.

"Okay I'm with you, you know I'm always with you Derek" I moved straddling his waist wrapping my arms around his shoulders. "And by the way I think I find your new Alpha energy really…really sexy" he growled and flashed his red eyes making me smile before I kissed him knowing that the drama was only just starting but in this moment I was just glad we were all okay.
