Fallen Angel
She smiles so often,
That I hate it when she frowns.
I hate how I'm the one,
Who tends to bring her down.
Elegant brown hair and blue-green eyes,
A genius when she wants to be,
A fallen angel when she cries.
I yell at her when I'm angry,
I ignore her when I'm sad,
I try to suppress the urge,
To apologize when I am bad.
But as she sits there broken,
I comfort her the only way I can,
With an awkward tone I compliment her,
Rub her shoulder with my hand.
When we are alone,
When we find things hard to deal,
It is in these fragile moments,
That I truly show her how I feel.
