Fred took a glass of champagne from a floating tray and turned towards Alicia, handing it to her.

"Here's your glass, my lady." Fred said seeing Alicia smile.

"Where's your glass?" Alicia asked, seeing Fred look at the corner of the house where guests were able to come from the front yard and join the cocktail wedding party.

"Umm…I don't know. What were you saying?" Fred asked, turning back to Alicia who took a sip of her champagne, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Are you waiting for a friend?" she asked. Fred paused and placed a hand on his chest.

"A friend? Me? Does it look like I'm waiting for someone? No, not at all. I'm not waiting for anyone." Fred said.

"You look a little nervous." Alicia said, looking at the tiny pieces of tissue he kept tearing and wiping his palms with.

"Yes well…you caught me. I'm having cold feet before the wedding." Fred said seeing Alicia laugh.

"I almost forgot how funny you could be. Thanks for inviting me to the wedding; it's been a while since I last saw you." Alicia said.

Fred looked to answer but his eye and tongue caught the same corner where he was glancing anxiously for the past hour. Alicia turned to see Jade walk in with her parents. Jade wore a strapless midnight blue dress while her parents both followed the same color coordination in their formal wear. Alicia looked towards Fred who placed his hands in his pockets, slowly swallowing as he watched Jade connect her parents to Molly and Arthur Weasley.

Alicia sipped her champagne, knowing it was a lost cause to regain her conversation with Fred.

"I'm a little hungry. I'll check out the hor d'oeuvres, try not to move!" she said.

Fred didn't answer her. He was watching Astoria and Ginny meet with Jade. After a few squeals and compliments about each other's hair and dresses, their attention shifted to Viktor Krum, who stood a few feet away from them with a drink in his hand. He was with a group of men, looking uncomfortable and anxious to leave the conversation. Fred looked back at Jade who chuckled and nodded towards Krum, making a small remark. Whatever she said made Ginny and Astoria snap towards her and start to whisper fiercely.

"Shit." Fred muttered, fishing through his pocket. He pulled out his Extendable Ear and went to throw it but George stepped in front of him, smiling widely.

"Well hello there. Is that an Extendable Ear I see in your hand, Fred?" George asked.

"What? Do you need Extendable eyes to confirm your vision too?" Fred asked, flicking the Ear off and watching it zip towards the girls.

"No it's because you stopped telling me about your plans with Jade. I didn't know you planned to be a psychotic ex-boyfriend." George said, turning around and watching the girls with Fred.

"Take this." Fred said, handing him an earpiece.

"Poor Jade. Doomed from the day she met-"

"George, if you don't shut up, I'll slice off the other ear." Fred said. George rolled his eyes.

"Like I've never heard of that one before." He said. They turned their attention to Astoria and Ginny who were pushing Jade towards Krum.

"You've got to talk to him! Tell him he's got a nice rock solid arse when he's clenching it against the broom!" Astoria said. Ginny and Jade stopped, looking at Astoria.

"How is she ever going to get close to him if he gets a restraining order on her?" Ginny asked.

"You both need to let me go! I can't do this! I can't talk to Krum, are you crazy?! It's Krum we're talking about! Stop pushing me!" Jade said, wriggling herself away from them. Astoria grabbed Jade's arm again.

"What happened with getting all that confidence and meeting new people in South Africa thing? Did you leave your balls in the mountains?" Astoria asked.

"You've had a crush on Krum for so long and probably know what to say to him. At least say hello! He's a guest!" Ginny said.

"You fucking say hello! You're the groom's sister!" Jade said.

"Krum! Excuse me! Viktor Krum!" Astoria called out. Ginny snorted and ran off as Krum turned around to see Astoria and Jade who looked shell shocked, in front of him.

"What's wrong with Ginny? I thought she was my sister." Fred said.

"But that's her best friend. She's helping her move on. You know? The type of thing normal people do for their friends when their boyfriend doesn't want to take them back?" George asked.

"She's still not supposed to do that. I understand if Greengrass wants to help her move on but not Ginny." Fred said, going back to Jade who was shyly speaking to Krum as Astoria was nowhere in sight.

"I can't hear them anymore. Do you have another ear, George?" Fred asked. George sighed wistfully, probing his left ear.

"Sorry mate. It's the only one I have left." He said. When Fred didn't laugh and turned back to watch Jade and Krum, George shook his head and walked away.

"Make up your mind. You either do or you don't, no one's waiting forever these days." George said.

Ginny watched Astoria and Jade engrossed in a conversation with Luna and her father. A table away, Krum and Harry were deep into conversation, with Krum darkly glancing towards Xenophilius from time to time. Fred surrounded himself in a group of Fleur's veela cousins, forgetting Alicia who sat with George and Angelina. Ginny sighed and walked over to Astoria, Jade and Luna who looked up and smiled.

"Hey everyone! Enjoying the party?" Ginny asked.

"It was so beautiful." Luna breathed.

"Excuse me; I need to go to the bathroom. Gin, sit down. You've been running around all week." Jade said, getting up.

"Thanks. After Fleur is gone and this reception over, you won't hear from me for a month." Ginny said.

"You won't go to my first Healer's appointment with me?" Astoria pouted. Luna blinked, looking at the both of them.

"Do friends take each other to hospital visits?" Luna asked. Astoria nodded.

"Yes Luna, they sure do. Sometimes it's necessary to send them to the hospital too. It's the only way to flirt with the orderlies and get free ice cream, right Gin?" Astoria asked, nudging Ginny who looked at Luna, wishing she wasn't a part of their conversation.

Jade walked out of the bathroom and walked towards the bar, getting herself a glass of champagne. She turned to leave and stopped herself from bumping into Alicia Spinnet. Alicia's eyes grew wide and she smiled, nodding towards Jade.

"Hey Jade, I almost didn't recognize you." Alicia said.

"It's the hair. I've been getting a lot of comments on it ever since I came back." Jade said.

"Yes, Fred told me that you went to South Africa for an internship. How was it?" Alicia asked.

"It was so beautiful; I wouldn't be able to put it into words. You would have to really go there and experience it yourself if you want any justice to it. Absolutely incredible, the experiences and memories I made, you know? How about yourself? I haven't seen you since…months." Jade said. The two women blushed from the reminder of the last time they had seen each other.

"Uh, yeah. I'm doing well. Probably not as well as South Africa but I'm competing for a spot in the Holyhead Harpies as a seeker." She said.

"Wow, that's great! I really hope you get it!" Jade said.

"Thanks. I think after another week, I'll get to know if I've been selected or not. It's a huge and complicated process. My boyfriend and I are waiting until next week to find out so we can plan to find an apartment in Wales so we can move in together." Alicia said. Jade felt a shock zipping through the center of her chest at the thought of Fred already planning to move his life to Wales with Alicia.

"That's nice. Did everyone know about this?" Jade asked.

"Hm? Why would everyone know? It's only the both of us. We've just started talking about it and since we love each other so much, why not go for it?" Alicia said.

"Absolutely. Yeah, I guess if you love each other than no one else needs to…very cool." Jade said. She drank down her glass and grabbed another one from the table.

"So is it awkward between you and Fred? Being around each other regularly since you're Ginny's friend?" Alicia asked.

"I try not to let it bother me. It was really hard trying to reconcile but it's all over. Time to do something new." Jade said, looking at Fred who was watching them. Alicia placed a hand on Jade's hand.

"Fred still loves you, I hope you know that." Alicia said.

"No he doesn't." Jade started, shaking her head.

"Jade-"

"Fred doesn't love me at all. He loves you, he's happy with you." Jade said seeing Alicia look confused and shake her head.

"No, he doesn't. Are you talking about the time in the coffee shop? I had feelings for him for a while but all that's changed. We're just friends-"

"But you just said you were moving in with him?" Jade asked. Alicia paused, staring at Jade.

"Oh Jade! I'm sorry if I've misdirected you but Fred isn't my boyfriend!" Alicia said.

"Huh?" "His name is Jeremiah. We've been dating for a few months now. You know what's funny? Fred hasn't owled or flooed me since that day at the coffee shop. We hadn't seen each other until today. He suddenly sends me an owl, asking if I wanted to come as a date for his brother's wedding! He hasn't even asked if I'm seeing anyone or what I'm doing with my life!" Alicia said.

"Really?" Jade asked.

"You know more about me in this conversation than he would ever know in this lifetime. I can see how hard the breakup was for him to deal with. We were set up by George and Angelina but I knew that it wouldn't work but I tried being a good friend." Alicia said. Jade only frowned and Alicia sighed, looking at her watch.

"Time to go! Early sessions in the morning. It was nice seeing you again Jade, you look fantastic." Alicia said, kissing Jade's cheek.

"So do you. Good luck with the seeker position and thank you…for a lot of things." Jade said.

"Just trying to be a good friend to a confused one. Bye Jade." Alicia said, taking her coat.

"Bye." Jade said, seeing Alicia leave.

"Do you dance?" Viktor asked, behind her. Jade turned around and smiled.

"Only if you do." She said. Viktor bowed and led her towards everyone else who had been dancing.

"They look like they're in love. What's so special about Krum?" Fred asked, seeing Jade trying to follow Krum's descriptions and stories. Whatever he was doing or saying made Jade burst into a fit of giggles and draw herself closer to him as they danced. George and Angelina rolled their eyes at each other and back at everyone who had been dancing. Astoria came towards them and took a picture with Jade and Krum. Fred noticed Krum wrap his arm around Jade and take her hand as Astoria kept saying things which made the two jump in laughter and enjoy the joke as if they were the ones who had gotten married. Ginny and Luna joined them as Harry, Ron and Hermione bulked together as always, talking amongst themselves.

"What's so special about him? Jump on a few brooms and catch a golden ball like some Bulgarian monkey and the girls are all over you. Is that what it takes to win a girl over nowadays?" Fred asked.

"George I want to dance." Angelina said.

"Let's go." George said, getting up.

"Fred, you should come too. Don't sit at a table by yourself, you look creepy." George said.

"He already is." Angelina said quietly enough for George to listen.

"I'm not coming anywhere near Krum and her." Fred said.

"What did she-"

"Let's go Ange." George said, quickly pushing her forward.

"George! He's driving everyone crazy about this! She didn't do anything with McLaggen and he knows too! Why is he still mad at her? Wasn't he the one who didn't want to be in a relationship with her again?" Angelina asked as they walked away. George sighed.

"There's something you should know about men. We're prideful and it takes a man to admit their faults." He said.

"I'm proud of you owning up to the vase you broke last week." Angelina said, stroking his cheek.

"Where's Krum?" Astoria asked, appearing in front of Jade with her second plate of cake.

"I don't know. He saw Luna's father walking by and told me he'd be right back." Jade said seeing Astoria nod.

"How is it? Are you going to his place or yours?" she asked. Jade gently slapped Astoria's arm who wrapped her arms around her and started dancing to the music.

"Hold me close! I miss Draco!" Astoria said.

"You're eating cake and dancing with me." Jade said.

"We're made for each other. I multitask and you have an eye for detail. Hey! Ugly kid! Take this plate." Astoria said, handing it to Barney Weasley.

"Do it yourself!" he said.

"Ass, that's Harry." Jade said. Astoria grinned at Harry, looking him over.

"I bet Ginny's wetting her pants for you in a corner somewhere." Astoria said.

"Ha, ha. Very funny." Harry said, walking off.

"Listen I have to go home soon. With all that's going on in this world, my Mum wants me back at a certain time. Death Eater stuff, I guess." Astoria said.

"Wait! I'll go with you! My parents left so early because they thought I'd stay over the Burrow." Jade said, taking her purse.

"Why don't you stay over? Oh! Are you really going to Krum's flat to-"

"No. You know me better. I just thought staying over at the Burrow is a bad idea. Fred would be over too and it'll be awkward and all." Jade said.

"You should wait for Krum to drop you." Astoria said.

"Ass! He's just-"

"Hey." A voice interrupted them. Astoria and Jade looked at Fred who had his hands in his pockets, looking nervous and cool around her.

"Hi Fred." Jade said slowly, ignoring Astoria's smirk.

"I was wondering if I could…just have a few words with you. Real quick." Fred said. Jade shrugged and started to nod.

"Sure." She said. Fred gave a short nod and looked at Astoria who sighed and placed a hand on her stomach.

"I'll help myself to another glass of water and cake." Astoria said, leaving. Jade smiled and turned back to Fred.

"You look wonderful this evening." He said.

"Thanks. So do you." she said quickly. They both looked away in embarrassment, feeling awkward about the sudden silence that took them over.

"This is a little awkward." Fred sang as Jade grinned, agreeing.

"I didn't want to make it awkward; I was just wondering if I could ask you to dance with me?" Fred asked. Jade froze, watching him in dumb silence.

"I apologize for that. That strange man is vearing a disrespectful sign around his neck. Ignorant…I'm sorry. Vere you ready to leave? May I accompany you home?" Krum asked.

Jade looked at Krum and then back at Fred again.

"Krum would you give me-"

"Just go. Just leave. He's ready to take you, you should go. I'm just trying to interrupt this wonderful blooming…thing you both are trying to have. I'm McLaggen. I'm McLagging. You know? Destructor of relationships? Sorry." Fred said.

"Fred. What the hell is wrong with you? What are you talking about?" Jade asked.

"Are you trying to insult her?" Krum asked.

"Krum, go away. What are you on about Fred? What was the last part supposed to mean? What do you want from me?" Jade asked.

"I don't fucking want anything from you! Does it look like I came here on my knees with my hands out? I only asked you for a dance! Not you!" Fred yelled. Jade stared at him, open mouthed.

"If you say another vord, I'll-"

"Krum! Stay away! This doesn't concern you!" Jade snapped.

"Ohhhh! Big bad Bulgarian boyfriend here to save the day." Fred sang.

"You're starting a fight for no reason. I…I'm so confused." Jade said, looking at him.

Aunt Muriel walked by, observing the entire spat.

"You snobby prats should stop this fighting at a cheap wedding like this! You'll bring down this poorly held up tent! You're ugly! You're a whore and…oh hello, what's your name?" Aunt Muriel asked.

Ron walked by, looking grave, taking Aunt Muriel by the shoulders and wheeling her away from Krum.

"Carry on." Ron said.

"I don't know why I would ever be stupid enough to ask you for a dance." Fred said.

"I never got to say yes!" Jade yelled.

"Exactly! You never did! Goodbye!" Fred said, leaving.

"What?! Wait!" Jade called out.

"Jade, stop. Don't try to make sense with him. He's been out of it for months now." George said.

"George I didn't do anything! He just asked me a simple-"

"I know. He does that. Forget about it, there's no use arguing with him. You'll end up more frustrated and upset because he knows how to win." George said.

"But he's not right! Ough…you're right. I'm not letting him do this to me again. I'm over with all of this!" Jade said.

"Hey, what just happened?" Ginny asked.

"Gin, I have to get out of here. I'll explain when I get the chance." Jade said.

"You can't just leave-"

"Gin. I cannot stay here for another second. George, would you please apparate me home?" Jade asked. Ginny saw Jade's eyes and nose turning red and teary. From the tired look on George's face, Angelina shaking her head from rolling her eyes all day and Fred storming out and screaming seconds earlier, she understood the scenario.

"Your brother is a little bitch. Let me tell you what happened." Astoria said, appearing next to Ginny.

Fred was sitting next to the lake with a box of letters and pictures that he saved from Jade. As much as he tried, he didn't have the heart to throw the letters and pictures of her away entirely. From the way she seemed so disconnected from him and shamelessly flirted with Krum, Fred was ready to put the final nail in the coffin. He stared at the box that was lying next to him, unable to reach over and knock it off into the lake.

"Hey!" Ginny yelled.

Fred turned around, seeing Ginny rushing towards him from the reception.

"Can you tell me exactly what the hell is wrong with you?" she asked.

"Very original. Do come up with something-"

"Shut up! I've had it with your sarcasm, Fred! If you're so miserable about your own stupid life, go somewhere else and destroy yourself! Stop taking it out on people who don't deserve any more of your shit and baggage!" Ginny said. Fred scrambled up, towering over Ginny.

"My shit and baggage isn't any of your business. If any one of your boyfriends dumps you, you moan harder than Myrtle and cry louder than Filch's cat! Everyone else mind's their own business and leaves you alone, why can't you do that for me?" Fred asked.

"That's because I'm nothing like you when your girlfriend decides to move forward! Everyone else is sick and tired of you and your sob story with Jade but they're too afraid of confronting you because you act like a diva!" Ginny said, turning and kicking the box into the river.

"NO!" Fred roared, putting his hands out but all he could do was see the box fly into the river as the pictures and letters shot across the air, fluttering into the black lake. Fred took out his wand and summoned the letters and pictures back.

"Shit my life." Fred said, shaking the pictures out one by one. He laid out the letters, trying to dry them but the ink was dispersed and the words became unrecognizable. Ginny was watching Fred, saddened by her brother's desperate attempts to keep his memories alive with Jade.

"You must be thrilled because of what you just did. Now get out of here." Fred said, without looking up.

"Fred, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to-"

"GET OUT!" Fred yelled, standing up and firmly pointing back to the marquee. Ginny kept her jaw clenched and placed her hands on her hips.

"Jade is gone. I never ruined anything between the two of you. You let things with her ruin. You weren't man enough to forgive her when she gathered the courage to tell you the truth. Then, when McLaggen confessed that he made the entire story up to break you and Jade apart, you weren't man enough to apologize for everything you said and put her through. Instead you acted like a little bitch by having her beg to have you back but you just like sitting back and watching her cry don't you? Everyone sees it Fred! Don't try to defend yourself and tell me that I don't understand! Even Jade's seen that and just because she grew tired and thought she could do better, doesn't make her horrible! She loved you; you didn't return it so she's moving on. Everyone does it, every day! It's not her fault if Krum wants to have a piece now that she's available! Open your stupid little eyes and understand that you're full of shit! You need to get over her and hurting her over something that you can't get over is your own problem, not hers. Do you understand? Stop pulling everyone else down with you. Everyone is trying to help you but you're pushing everyone away by being a dick over everything! Keep up with your attitude and you'll find yourself dying old and alone. Then you'll know it was all your fault and you'll die hating yourself while Jade's happily married to someone else with her grandchildren having children of their own." Ginny said.

A bright silvery light entering the marquee caught Fred and Ginny's eye. They turned around, hearing the chatter and laughter die down as news was announced.
