"We have taken all the necessary procedures to ensure that an incident similar to the one in Raccoon city does not happen again..." The man in which Claire didn't care to remember the name said on the TV, and all the woman could do was sigh, knowing that everything he said was nothing but lies.

Just another corrupt powerful man who was trying to maintain his image in front of the population but was just as rotten as people thought under that mask.

The world was full of people like that now.

The TV screen changed, and Claire noticed the large number of protesters and the racket going on in the streets.

The large pharmaceutical company Wilpharma, allegedly responsible for the vaccine against the T-virus, had been facing serious accusations from both Terrasafe and the BSAA, which had left them in a rather precarious and worrying situation for their employees.

Accusations that she herself had helped to spread. Not for nothing, she couldn't help but participate in a plot against a pharmaceutical company that was, in fact, composed of bioterrorist members who just wanted power using the T-virus and its variants as weapons.

Nothing new or surprising about that. At that point, she was used to it. Although her blood was still boiling over those people, especially the person who was in that same airport as her.

Senator Ron Davis, one of the commissioners responsible for the Raccoon City bombing, the one who set up the research center that was one of the bioterrorist bases in India (at least, they suspected it was) and one of the main suspects in being part of and funding the illegal experiments on humans that were taking place in that country.

The woman sighed again. One day, that job would kill her. Whether it was an outbreak, a creature from a horror story, a stray bullet from a survivor or an Umbrella agent himself, or stress.

And honestly, the way things were going, she would say that she would die from the last option.

Turning slightly, she observes the little girl sitting in the seat next to her. Rani Crawla. She reminded her of Sherry, only much younger and quieter.

They did some blood tests, she was healthy. Nothing abnormal. The only evidence that she had been a test subject for inhuman tests were those marks on her arms and some even on her back.

It had been at least a week and a half since Claire and her Terrasafe team, together with members of Terrasafe from India itself, had been there, and now, since Rani had no relatives in that country, they would take her to America, where she would live with her only family member still alive.

Claire knew him... sort of, they had said hello once or twice, nothing more than that, but she knew him well enough to know that he was a bit reserved. Shy even.

In the short time they had been together, she liked the little girl, although she didn't know if that feeling was reciprocated.

Not that she blamed Rani. After all, it was just understandable.

"Are... you a... friend?" The little girl asked, looking at Claire with slightly anxious and confused eyes. She was holding a basic English book.

She had been learning for at least two days, and although she still had some difficulties, her pronunciation was very good, and from her learning speed, it wouldn't be long before she learned.

That was what reminded her of Sherry, that willingness to focus on something else, even at such a young age.

"Yes, I am a friend." She replied, and with a nod, the little girl looks again at the book in her hands, but only for a few moments before facing Claire again.

"When... we... go...?"

"Soon." Claire replied, flipping through a few pages of the book and pointing to the word she had said.

The little girl stared at the word for a few moments, until she turned to Claire again, smiled, and nodded, this time focusing completely on the book.

Claire smiled slightly. She was occasionally envious of children. Especially children like that one.

"Are you thirsty?" She asked, catching the attention of the little girl, who looked at her a little confused. "Err... water?" Rani seemed to understand, and nodded.

Claire then stood up and walked towards a vending machine up ahead. Stuck in her thoughts, she didn't even notice the person approaching next to her, and accidentally bump into each other.

"Oh, sorry." She quickly apologized, looking at the jovial looking man, but who strangely enough, already had gray hair.

The man was quite tall, thin, wore glasses, had fair skin, and a face that appeared to be in his early thirties.

"Oh, no, no, I apologize, I wasn't looking where I was going." He said, straightening his gray suit and looking at the watch on his wrist. "I have to go, sorry again." He said, walking quickly away from there.

Claire stared at him for a few moments, before continuing on her way to the vending machine.

Pull yourself together, Redfield, you're so clumsy. She mentally scolded herself, buying two bottles of water, returning and handing one to Rani.

They both sat for a while longer. Claire constantly looked at the watch on her wrist, a gift from Sherry. Her flight was late.

Too late.

Shaking her head slightly, a small commotion caught her attention.

Turning around, she arched an eyebrow as she looked at the situation not far away. Some security guards were surrounding a man and dictating warnings to another man who was approaching.

She had seen that man before, everyone in the country probably had. Senator Ron Davis.

Almost a surprise to see him there. And although Claire didn't mind that, she would say it was rather... curious that he was in that airport, surrounded by so few security guards. Especially with all those accusations he was facing.

In front of him, a man was slowly approaching. His movements were awkward, and he had a dull look on his face.

Claire, seeing this, slowly stood up. The colorless skin, the gray eyes, the slow and imprecise movements.

She had seen too much to not know what it was.

She was going to warn the security guards. Warn that officer who was not so far away about what was going on.

Seriously, she was going to do it... if it hadn't been for the scream of pain a woman gave a few feet away.

Claire blinked, and that was all it took for everything to turn into chaos.

How had she not seen this before? How did the airport become infested with zombies so quickly?

How come no one has done anything yet?

Her eyes fell on the officer again, and that's when she gasped as she saw that the officer was lying on the ground, with that same man from before over his body, biting his neck.

"Rani!" She called out to the girl, taking her by the hand and pulling her behind her, shielding her with her body as her hand immediately went to her pistol.

A pistol with a larger capacity than ordinary pistols and with a reduced kick. It was not a pistol with a great damage, but it was accurate, shot fast, and had many bullets.

A gift from Chris, since her old gun was... well, confiscated, so to speak.

Her first instinct was to raise her pistol. The familiar, but at the same time, terrifying feeling of having a child behind you to protect against literal undead was beating hard and at the same pace as her racing heart.

She saw when that senator's security guards shot at the group of zombies that were getting closer and closer.

She saw that, since they had never faced such creatures, they were quickly overwhelmed.

She saw one of the zombies move toward the senator, paralyzed in fear. And that's when she fired.

Chris would never let her get rusty, he always trained her when they had time (which was very rare in those years), or, she always trained with Sherry, who as a consequence, was trained by Chris.

Her aim was as accurate as ever, and it only took one shot to take out that zombie.

The noise of the shot made the senator scream in fear and fall to the ground, seeming to wake up from some kind of trance and look around, frightened and anxious, for the source of the shot.

"Claire!" Rani called out to her, and looking around, the woman muttered softly as she saw more zombies approaching the bathrooms, stores. Fuck, everywhere.

Turning, she shot at the two nearby zombies that were walking towards her and started walking at a brisk pace towards the nearest exit she knew.

Rani held tightly onto the hem of Claire's shirt, and her heavy breathing awakened the protective side of the woman, who shot with precision as she moved, missing one shot or another due to the situation.

Suddenly, Rani screamed and stopped walking, and instinctively Claire turned around, her gun already pointed forward ready to shoot any zombie that had grabbed her.

However, to her surprise, the one who had grabbed the little girl was that senator, who looked desperate and lost.

"Please! Help me!" He begged, screaming and grunting for the zombie that was holding his heel.

Claire shot said zombie, walked over to Rani and pulled her toward her while pushing the senator's hand away from the little girl.

"Are you okay?" She asked. Although she didn't like that guy one bit, she couldn't leave him for dead. It was totally going against the beliefs she believed in.

"I... yes... yes! We have to-" Before he finished speaking, an extremely loud noise echoed throughout the airport, and the whole place shook.

The surrounding area was dazzled, a huge, dense cloud of dust formed, and debris was hurled.

Claire covered Rani in reflex, closing her eyes as she felt small pieces of debris hit the side of her face and back.

Once it was all gone, she looked at the little girl for any injuries, and sighed a little relieved to see that she was all right.

Getting up, she stared at the scene ahead.

Now it made sense that her plane had taken so long. She just hadn't expected the plane to crash nose first into the airport.

It was almost a miracle that the plane didn't completely destroy the whole thing, but that impact alone was enough to silence many voices and grunts.

In other words, many people were directly hit.

A bad feeling spread through the woman's chest. A feeling that faded away when she saw more zombies come out from inside the destroyed plane.

"Oh shit..." She muttered softly as she saw that they were slowly being surrounded. "Where are we going now?"

"The vip area!" the senator said, drawing her attention to him. "There's a vip waiting area, west of the landing area. That's where I was." He pointed, and Claire nodded, looking for a few moments in that direction and at the zombies they would have to face to get there.

"Okay, stay close to me, you two." She said, getting a nod from Rani, and sighing when the senator held her by the shirt, a somewhat strong grip. "Not so close, I can't be limited in any way while dealing with them in case one of them gets close."

She said, and the senator stepped back.

Shaking her head slightly, Claire began walking towards the direction she pointed, shooting at the zombies on her way and taking two steps whenever the surrounding zombies took one in her direction.

"Get off me!" As they ran, they heard a desperate female voice practically scream, and Claire turned around.

To her left was a woman, if she remembered correctly, one of the reporters she had seen on TV before the whole thing happened.

Claire immediately changed direction, approaching that reporter as fast as she could.

"What are you doing? We have to get out of here!" The senator said, and for a moment, a few moments, she looked at him somewhat incredulously.

Damn, she wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, especially with Rani on her tail. She feared that if she stayed long enough she would run into the same things she had seen in Raccoon. Maybe infected dogs, dammit, maybe even those Lickers or that Tyrant.

Who knows.

But her job was to save lives. And that's exactly what she would do.

When she had the opening, she shot the zombie that was grabbing the reporter, freeing her and ignoring the sound of the body falling to the ground in a deafening thud.

The reporter turned toward her, battered eyes staring at her. Before anyone there could say anything, however, an arm grabbed Claire's heel, who gasped in surprise.

She quickly shoots the zombie at her feet, but soon had her arm grabbed by another.

Spinning her body around, she landed an elbow to the head of the zombie that had grabbed her and used the zombie's shoulder as a support to shoot two others coming from the side, before she finally shot the zombie.

To her dismay, however, her gun had run out of bullets.

Spinning her body once more, she grabbed the zombie by the neck and threw him backwards as she hit him with a kick to the back of the knee, knocking the zombie to the ground and stomping hard on his head a few times until the zombie could barely move.

"Come on!" She shouted to the reporter, reloading her pistol and continuing on her way.

They ran through the infested terminal, with Claire taking the lead, until they approached a double door ahead.

There were a few infected in front, which Redfield immediately took care of eliminating. Not knowing what other dangers they might possibly have behind those doors, she opted to save what little ammunition she had.

Hitting the first zombie with a punch to the face and knocking it off balance, she spins her body around and hits a back kick to the stomach of the other, hitting the first zombie with an elbow and knocking it to the ground. Soon, she hits a kick to the side of the second zombie's leg, bringing it to its knees, and with the hilt of her pistol, she delivers a strong blow to the head.

Not enough to kill, of course. She knew she didn't have the same brute strength as her brother, but it was enough to stun the infected enough so that the other three could get through the door.

Seeing that they had already passed, she follows them and closes both doors tightly.

Gasping slightly, Leon moves in an explosion of various attacks on the training dummy in front of him. He was hitting, counter-attacking, defending, and deflecting.

Training with the dummy was not as good as training with the security guards there, or in some field training against captured infected. But since he had little time before his next mission, it was enough.

Taking a step back, Leon spins his body at great speed, taking a small jump as he spun around and looking at the training dummy before his body spun around 360 degrees. After that, he jumps again and hits a powerful kick to the top of the training dummy, literally destroying the wood and causing the training dummy to fall along with the debris that was thrown away.

That was his favorite move. A tornado kick.

Disguising more familiar and simple techniques and performing more complex techniques was something he loved to do.

Before his training, he had always thought that these types of moves, which required a lot of practice, agility and skill, were extremely difficult. However, to his surprise, they were strangely easy to do.

Well, maybe it was because he had a talent for this sort of thing, just as Jonah and William had said.

His favorite moves always included flying and spinning kicks. There was something about those moves that made him feel as if he was really flying.

And deep down, he even thought it was a shame he couldn't use those moves on the biological weapons he was sure to face in the future.

From afar, William was watching him, and he knew it.

Wesker had that thing about watching his "weapon".

Leon rotated his body again, just as he had done earlier. This time, however, he jumped as high as he could while moving forward, rotated his body still in the air at great speed, and landed another kick to the training dummy, now destroying the part that would have been the torso of a normal human.

William watched as the wood that had been destroyed was thrown and dragged along the ground.

That agility he had, for a human, was surprising.

"Aren't you going to call him?" Jonah, beside him, asked, taking a sip from his coffee cup shortly after and alternating his gaze between the two of them.

"... Yes, I will. I'm just waiting for him to finish destroying the twentieth training dummy we made available to him. "William said, and Jonah gave a nasal laugh.

"I guess we'll have to build tougher training dummies." Jonah said, and they were silent for a while, still watching the agent's training.

"You weren't there at the conclusion of the mission." Doc said, breaking the silence.

"Why would I be? I have other things to do, more information to get, and a report from Hunk to finish reading." William replied, placing his hands behind his back.

"He finished the mission in a short time. I thought you would be there to congratulate him."

"He just did what he was trained to do." William said, turning his head slightly toward Jonah. "It was satisfying to see him finish the mission quickly, it means he made good use of his training. But that's exactly what we wanted him to do, from the beginning."

William then sighed lightly, and ran a hand through his blond hair.

"...You're not going to tell him anything." He said, and this time, Jonah is the one who sighed, placing a hand on the back of his neck.

"Yes, I figured that would be the case. But you know there's a chance of-"

"He will wear a mask. His person, an unknown, a ghost. I know there is a risk, but those samples need to be destroyed, and Chris Redfield will not leave his mission in Europe to help his little sister." William said, interrupting the doctor.

"...I thought the BSAA agents would be able to handle the situation. Both Terrasafe, and the Indian BSAA are also on site." Jonah said, and William snorted in disdain.

"A bunch of incompetents. Even more than I thought, actually." William said. "But, maybe, I can give them a break this time. The G-virus is extremely powerful. And since they were caught by surprise, they had no way to be prepared. Although their response time is terrible." William said, turning and walking down the hall.

"Call our dear agent. He will leave still today." William said, and Jonah watched him walk away for a while.

Sighing, the doctor runs his hand down his neck as he watched Leon, who had long since destroyed the training dummy and was now practicing his knife strokes in the air.

Honestly, Jonah felt sorry for the agent.

"Harvardville Airport, India. Outbreak site." William said, showing the images on the projector.

Leon was sitting in a chair beside a large table, arms crossed as his eyes stared at the images ahead.

"We don't know much this time. Only that someone has spread the T-virus throughout the place. We speculate that this someone was trying to kill Senator Ron Davis. But, it's just speculation." William said. "BSAA and India's Terrasafe are working together on this case, but they were caught by surprise and many people died."

"BSAA and Terrasafe? Hmpf, and why does this situation need me? Even if they were caught by surprise, the BSAA has enormous power, together with Terrasafe even, they are more than capable of solving this. Why don't you send me to Europe?" Leon asked.

"You wouldn't go there, truly. However, the situation has changed. The t-virus is one thing, the BSAA can handle it. Maybe even Terrasafe alone. However, there are samples you need to destroy of the t-virus and the g-virus." William said, and as he already imagined, Leon's eyes widened and looked at him in disbelief.

"G-virus?!" He almost shouted as he asked, leaning his body forward and resting his arms on his knees.

Damn, just the mention of that virus made his stomach turn. Just the thought that another William Birkin might be formed and was at this moment wandering through an airport with nothing but concrete roadblocks around him made his blood run cold.

The threat level had more than doubled with the G-virus active.

"Apparently, some samples of these viruses were sold, prior to the destruction of Raccoon. Frederick Downing." An image appeared on the screen ahead. A man with gray hair but jovial features. He wore a grayish suit, wore glasses, and had blue eyes.

Leon had seen him before. He was the head researcher at WilPharma. He was already mentioned in some files collected by both William's agents, including Hunk himself.

"He is our suspect. We have evidence that he has been carrying out illegal bio-weapons trafficking for some time now. Now, Doctor Curtis Miller." Another image appeared, another man, short dark hair, perhaps in his early thirties. "A researcher at Wilpharma. He has a pretty troubled past since he lost his family in the Raccoon tragedy, but that's not important." More images appeared. Videos that showed Curtis being arrested and screaming at the top of his lungs his anger at the government.

"He was even part of Terrasafe, but because of his behavior, he was fired, so to speak. He was infected with the G-virus." Now the videos have changed. These videos showed Curtis in a bizarre, but strangely familiar form with William Birkin's form in the early stages.

He was bigger, had a huge eye on his left shoulder, his left arm was huge with claws instead of fingers. And just like William Birkin in the early stages, he still wore some torn clothes and his head still held on his body.

"Senator Don Davis." The senator's picture appeared. He was short, fat, some of his hair was gone and he had rugged features with wrinkles already spread across his face.

"He is the one who created a bioterrorist research base in India. He who supported and participated in these illegal actions, in addition to the massive corruption." The three men mentioned appeared on the screen.

"Your job is to kill Frederick, kill Curtis, kill Senator Ron Davis, and destroy the lab below WilPharma. Apparently, the emergency sterilization system has been disabled. We don't know by whom." William said, and Leon sighed slightly.

Killing a senator... well, he would kill a monster who happened to be a senator.

But, that didn't stop that strange feeling from spreading through his chest.

"Not only that, but you will have to be even faster. For, as you know, the G-virus can reproduce itself. And Curtis is looking for his sister, Angela, precisely for that." William said, and a picture of said woman was shown.

She was not very tall, but had a well-defined body with good layers of muscle, she had straw blond hair and blue eyes. She appeared to be in her late twenties.

"Then I'll have to reconnect the system before Curtis leaves the lab. Otherwise, it will be even harder to kill him and he will be able to reproduce, wonderful." The agent said, running his hand through his hair.

"Exactly, although we do have some equipment to assist you in that mission." William said, picking up a large suitcase that was on the floor and placing it on the table.

Opening the case, Leon runs his eyes through the ammunition packets and what appeared to be grenades that had some transparent parts and showed a strange liquid inside.

"We did some tests on the G-virus, and developed a method to make it vulnerable. Throw this grenade at him, and the liquid present will burn his muscles, slow his regeneration and, as a consequence, his mutation. The bullets we project will more easily penetrate his flesh and set him on fire from the inside. The fire will burn faster than the G-cells can act. This is your chance, in case you fail to rewire the system." William said, and placing another bag on the table, he pulls out a gun from inside.

An ordinary-looking desert eagle, silver with a wooden grip on the sides. But beautiful just the same.

"We haven't had time to modify a rifle for those bullets. But, this one should do the trick." William said, handing the pistol to Leon, who admired it in his hands for some time.

"Completion time? Although I don't think I need to ask." Leon muttered.

"And you don't have to, but, you have until before Curtis completely transforms or Frederick escapes the scene." William replied.

"Extraction point?" Leon asked, placing the gun on the table and looking at William.

"Six miles north. Outside the BSAA's area of attention." He replied, and Leon nodded just before turning and leaving the room.

He had to get ready for the mission.
