Kagome had been fidgety and flustered after the team exercise. And Bakugo knew it was due to receiving loads of attention due to not being selected (oddly enough) to participate in the battle against class 2-A.

Yet now Bakugo felt irritated. He'd just overheard a conversation between her and Izuku. She had to return home (again) for another omake. Why was her grandfather so intent on marrying her off? They were only fifteen and sixteen. Hell, they'd yet to take their Hero's License test. Though that was creeping up.

Leaning back against the wall, Bakugo glared at Eiji. The guy was quick on the uptake. He knew to say nothing. This matter was private, though Bakugo was already thinking of ways to ruin it. Kagome didn't want to attend or get engaged.

But Bakugo had to weigh his choices. Kagome was still not talking to him outside of class and group projects. She could hold a grudge like his mother.

Kagome stared at whom her grandfather had found for her(again). It was terrible enough that Shouta saw her painted like a delicate doll. He'd even got a picture as a memory. It was a pleasant one, as Shouta had decided to pursue Momo.

But now Kagome could feel her face burning under the thin layer of pearlescent face powder.

In fact, Kagome wanted to know how modern, progressive people would be coerced into an omake.

"Miss Higurashi, are you okay?"

With a faint smile on her face, Kagome looked at Mrs. Ida.

"Yes, just shocked. I didn't think out of all the possibilities-It'd be a classmate."

Having said her piece, Kagome looked at Tenya. His face was a darker red than hers, which was a small comfort.

"Tenya, are you being shy?"

Smothering the urge to giggle, Kagome met Tensei, Tenya's older brother's gaze.

And it was clear he was enjoying Tenya's reaction to her all 'dolled up.'

"Tensei!"

Kagome didn't even try to act appropriately as she threw her head back and laughed at his loud, squeaky voice.

"Kagome," Tenya whined at her, clearly embarrassed.

A loud cough caused silence to fall. Kagome looked at her grandfather and mother.

"Shall we proceed?"

A wave of anger ran through her at how perfunctory her grandfather was being.

"Then, Tenya, it is your choice," Mr. Ida said.

"No," Tenya said flatly without hesitating. "I like Kagome. And she is smart, funny, and beautiful. But even I can see she isn't happy about this, and I would not want any lingering resentment in a relationship."

Kagome felt her face burn hotter than before at her class president's words. But the way his eyes glinted as she looked into them let her know he was aware she had someone she liked.

"Well, father, there is your answer," Kun-Loon, her mother, said. "You kids can go outside. I'm sure Shippo and Souta are eager to talk shop about quirks."

Bakugo watched from the same place as last time. He was shocked at seeing the Class Rep, Tenya Ida (this time), sitting next to Kagome. She looked stunning in her Kimono and makeup.

"Bakugo, what are you doing here?"

Freezing, he looked over his shoulder to see Souta and the tiny boy called Shippo. The latter was tense and wary of him, and Bakugo knew it was his fault.

"Nothing. I'm leaving," Bakugo said as he pushed away from the tree.

"She's not engaged. That Ida boy refused."

At Soutas words, Bakugo looked at the two kids.

"Is he an idiot?" Bakugo asked.

"Nah. Katsuki, he's very observant. He knows Kagome has someone she's sweet on. It'd take an exceptionally dense and low EQ person not to realize after all these years."

Bakugo felt insulted, yet he didn't know why. So he just watched as the two kids left him alone.

Sighing, Bakugo slammed his fist against the tree and left. His feet quickly took him to the shrine steps and down them.

As soon as he hit the sidewalk, his phone buzzed. Pulling it out, he saw a text from an unknown number with three attachments. Tapping to open the message, he felt stunned.

Two pictures of Kagome from each make were done up in makeup and a Kimono. And the third was a picture of him, Izuku, Kagome, and her father eating Ice cream. Or rather, Kagome was eating his Ice cream while shoving hers into his face, and Izuku and Mr. Higurashi looked amused.

It was a memory he was very fond of. Mr. Higurashi had been a good man and very patient with all of them.

Then he read the message and had to blink a few times as he re-read it.

[My sister is worth it. Memories tell a lot! She won't be single forever. Souta!]

Bakugo twitched and stormed off. Souta was still a meddling brat. What did he know about things like feelings and relationships? He was ten and wet behind the ears.
