News about the unknown prints at Trini and Jason's house spread like wildfire in our group. It was unnerving to know that the people who had done it were still out there somewhere. I had no doubt they did it for Nick and under his instruction but I felt uneasy thinking they were still acting for him. Due to the lack of evidence, the police were unable to charge Nick with any crime related to this. This left Jason seeing red and wanting to choke the life out of my estranged husband even more. I didn't blame him. He wanted answers. We all did. But until they were able to identify the owners of the finger prints, there wasn't anything the police could do but keep looking for anyone that Nick may have had contact with. And he for sure wasn't doing anything to help out.

I stayed the night at Tommy's house again which proved to be uneventful. We watched a movie together on the couch that I fell asleep through. The next morning, I woke up in his bed. At some point, he must have carried me in there during the night. I showered and changed, finding that he was nowhere in the apartment. I found a note from him on the kitchen counter, saying he was teaching a class all morning if I needed him. It also said that my house had been cleared by the police that morning as well as Trini and Jason's. We would be free to go in and out of both places as we pleased now.

I called Trini and she came to pick me up. I figured it would be easier to leave with Tommy in class than later when he was here. He's already done so much for me that I didn't want him to think he had to haul me around town anymore than he has. I packed my things and met her downstairs.

"Hey." She said as I climbed into the passenger seat. I half expected to see Marci in the car as well, it being Saturday.

"Hi." I replied, putting my seat belt on. "Where's Marci?" I asked.

"She's at the house already. Her, Aisha, and Rocky went over first thing this morning." She replied. Her hair was pulled back into a tight bun on the back of her head and I noticed she was wearing an old Angel Grove High t-shirt and a pair of jean shorts that were smudged in paint.

"Thanks for picking me up. I would have felt bad asking Tommy to drive me home." I said. She smiled, pulling away from the curb.

"Like he would have minded." She said. "But, you're welcome. I feel like it's been forever since I saw you anyway. Also, next time you plan on stealing my car, at least tell someone where you are going."

"Sorry about that." I said, grimacing. "I didn't think it'd turn into this whole big thing."

"Have you met you? That's what happens with everything you do." She laughed. I joined in, agreeing with her. It wouldn't be my life if it didn't. Sometimes, I wondered what kind of sense of humor God had.

"I know. I hope you're not upset that I took your car." She shook her head.

"No. It's fine. I'm just glad you're okay." She hesitated for a second. "Jason told me what Nick had said to you about thinking it was me. Do you think he meant it?"

"Absolutely." I answered. "He feels very threatened by you and Jason. Especially you. I wouldn't doubt that he was looking for a way to get back at you. I'm just glad it was me instead."

"Well, I'm not. I'd like him to try to do something to me." She said, gripping the steering wheel. "At least the asshole is behind bars and we don't have to worry about him anymore. I hope he gets his ass handed to him a bunch in there."

"Oh, I'm sure he will." I stared out the window. "He doesn't know well enough to keep his mouth shut so I bet some guy will set an example with his face."

"One could hope." She sighed, pulling down my street. It looked different without the entire thing filled with police cars and ambulances. I spotted several cars in front of my house, noting Aisha's, Adam's, and Jason's were present. She pulled into the driveway and cut the engine.

"Did I miss the invitation to my housewarming party?" I asked, looking over at her. She smiled, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"They just wanted to make sure everything was okay and that you'd be okay coming back here after everything that happened." I nodded, looking over at the house. I had been fearful about coming back here a little. As much as I missed being home, I was worried about how I would react. I kept telling myself that my good memories growing up here outweighed the bad ones with Nick. It was true. But all the things he did to me were still present in my memories, making me jittery at the idea of walking inside.

"I'm going to need a new living room set." I said, not looking at her.

"I thought Tommy bought that for you." She replied. I nodded.

"He did but Nick...Nick ruined that for me." I said, giving her a small smile.

"Okay. We can do that. Jason and I will see what we can find this afternoon when we go to the furniture store for our house. I'll grab your bag, okay?" She climbed out of the car and went to the back to get my duffel bag. Taking a deep breath, I popped open the door and climbed out. She met me on my side of the car and put an arm around my shoulders. "It's going to be okay, Kim." She said with a gentle squeeze.

"I think I'm ready." I said. Together, we walked up the porch steps and towards the front door. It opened as we approached it and Marci stood in the doorway. She ran forward, wrapping her arms around me in a tight hug.

"Could you stop trying to get yourself killed?" She asked, holding on to me tightly. I wrapped my arms around her, rubbing her back with my arm that wasn't in a cast.

"I suppose I could try." I replied. Pulling away, she gave me a playful glare.

"You're going to give me a heart attack before I turn 17."

"It's good to see you too. How's school going?" I asked, following her inside.

"Good! I really like it there." She replied over her shoulder. She stopped in the living room and I saw that the rest of our guests were in here. Jason, Adam, Rocky, Billy, and Aisha were standing in the middle of the room. I also saw that my living room had been completely redone. The walls were covered in a light wood paneling and the floor had a beige colored shag carpet on it. The carpeting went all the way to the hallway where it stopped, new hardwood floors placed here. I could see that the walls had been painted here, a warm off white color leading up the stairs. I also saw that I now had a ceiling fan in my living room, the blades matching the tone of the paneling.

"Oh my god!" I said. "You guys! You didn't have to do this." I said. Jason smiled, walking over to me.

"We couldn't have you coming home to that mess." He said, giving me a hug. "Rocky, Adam, Tommy, Zack and I did the manual labor. Billy redid all the electricity. Aisha, Trini, and Marci picked everything out."

"I love it!" I said. "This looks fantastic."

"That's not everything though!" Marci said. She grabbed my hand and dragged me up the stairs. I saw that all of my pictures that Nick had stomped on had been reprinted and were hanging in frames leading up the stairs. She kept going, stopping at the top of the stairs. I heard everyone coming up behind me. "Okay. So, we might have done some rearranging. I hope you're not mad."

"What do you mean?" I asked. She walked over to my bedroom door and opened it. Instead of my room though, I saw that it had been redone. The walls were repainted with a teal color, a white trim on the window and door frames. I also saw that her bed was in here with brand new bedding. There were matching currents and a light grey throw rug under her bed. On the walls, there were posters of her favorite bands and some pictures in frames. "I like it. So…where am I sleeping exactly?"

"This way." She said. She headed towards the door of my childhood bedroom. "I figured after everything that had happened, you wouldn't want to be in that room anymore. So, Aisha and I designed a whole new room for you." She opened the door and stepped aside so I could walk in. I entered and was immediately floored by what I saw. The flooring had been changed, a very light maroon colored carpeting under my feet. My bed had been set up against one wall, the bronze color of the frame contrasting with that of the dark wood paneling on the wall behind it. The wood paneling was only on this wall, the rest of the walls painted white. There was a ceiling fan now, the blades matching the wall paneling. Mirrors were hung up on the wall above my bed, making the entire room feel bigger than it was. In one corner of the room, there was a white desk setup with office supplies and a new desk chair. My dresser was against the wall across from the bed, pictures and my jewelry box set on top of it. There was also a book with a pink cover on top of it. Walking over, I opened the book and saw that the letters Nick had tried to destroy were inside of it, pressed into protective pages along with the pictures that had not been hung up.

"This is amazing." I whispered, feeling tears form in my eyes as I flipped through the pages. I saw that the things between Tommy and I were grouped together towards the end, everything as preserved as it could be.

"We also found this." Marci said, walking over and opening the jewelry box. I saw that my pregnancy test was tucked in here, wrapped in a ziploc bag for safe keeping. "We figured you would want to keep this."

"Thank you so much." I said, turning and hugging her. "I am glad you're here, kid."

"Me, too." She said, pulling away.

"You sure you're up to hanging around a bit more? This whole thing is about to get more complicated once this little person comes into the world." I said, putting a hand on my stomach. She smiled.

"Are you kidding? I always wanted a little brat running around."

"So, what do you think?" Aisha asked as her and Trini poked their heads into the room. I walked towards them, going back out into the hallway where everyone stood.

"I love it. Almost as much as I love all of you! Where did you even find time to do all of this?" I asked.

"Who needs sleep when you're around to keep us on our toes?" Adam asked, grinning at me.

"It was nothing. Really." Trini said, linking her fingers with Jason's. "It's your fresh start."

"I guess it really is." I said.

"And the guest bedroom can be the nursery!" Marci said, grinning from ear to ear. "Once we know what it is, we can pick out the paint and everything else."

"Who needs a baby daddy when you've got her hanging around?" Jason asked. A deep flush filled her cheeks and I suddenly realized it was Jason that Marci had a thing for. It made sense now that she always wanted to hang around when he was going to be there. My suspicions had been Tommy but she made it all too clear now that it was the former red ranger.

"That's for sure." I replied, putting an arm around Marci's shoulders. "What about your guy's place? When can we start cleaning up there?" I asked.

"We were given the okay this morning." Jason replied. "We will probably start tomorrow. The only thing you're going to be doing is watching us."

"Oh, c'mon! I'm pregnant, not broken. I can do some stuff." I replied. Aisha scoffed.

"Don't even bother. I've been having this argument for a week now and I've gotten nowhere." She said, rolling her eyes at her husband.

"What? God forbid I don't want my PREGNANT wife to carry lumber around. Sue me." He shot back.

"I would if it would get me anywhere." She replied, glaring at him.

"I'm sure there's something you can help us with." Trini said. "There will be a lot of stuff to sort through and pick out. We will take any help we can get."

"Consider it done. It's the least I can do. Now, how about lunch for all of my wonderful interior decorators? My treat!"

I ordered pizza, paying for everyone to eat as a thank you. Tommy came over after class, dressed out of his gi and into a pair of gym shorts and a tank top. I was standing in the kitchen when he arrived, chopping up ice from the freezer. I looked over my shoulder when I heard footsteps behind me. When I saw it was him, I gave him a smile.

"Hey. I was wondering when you'd be showing up." I said, pouring some ice into a cup.

"I would have been here sooner but I had to have a repair guy come look at our basement. There's something leaking down there and I can't quite figure out what it is." He replied. He walked over and grabbed a plate and a slice of pizza from the box on the kitchen counter.

"Oh no. Did he get it fixed?" I asked. He nodded, taking a bite of his pizza.

"Yeah. Thankfully, it was nothing serious. He was taking forever though. I did manage to catch up on some paperwork though in the meantime. So? What did you think?" He grinned.

"I think I should have known you all were up to something." I said, raising an eyebrow at him. "But I do love it. Thank you for doing this."

"It was all Marci's idea. Honestly, I think she wanted to sneak her way into a bigger room." I laughed.

"I wouldn't put it past her. It's lovely." I filled my cup up with lemonade and took a sip. "I especially loved how all my pictures were saved. You don't know how much that means to me."

"It took forever but we managed to get them looking better. And I'll have you know that the book was even worse. I was up until way past midnight finishing it last night." I looked at him, confused.

"You made the album?" I asked. He nodded, wiping his hands on a napkin.

"Yeah. I figured it was the best way to keep everything safe that wouldn't be on the wall. I couldn't do much here since I was with you so it was my main contribution." He put the book together with our memories. Maybe Tommy wanted more than just friendship. Had he lied to me? Why else would he have made it? "I hope you liked it."

"I love it."
