AN – Okay, I'm sorry if someone's already done this but it just had to be written. It seems quite obvious so if I'm seriously stepping on anyone's toes it was not intentional. Some of the dialogue is from Red Dwarf but, then again, I'm pretty sure SGA already did that. Rodney and John's 'He's not me, I'm me' conversation was lifted straight from 'Dimension Jump'. Title also from Red Dwarf… probably doesn't make much sense otherwise. In fact, probably doesn't make much sense anyway
Rating – G
Disclaimer – I don't own SGA or Red Dwarf, which some of the dialogue is taken from but then again, I'm pretty sure SGA already did that. Rodney and John's 'He's not me, I'm me' conversation was lifted straight from 'Dimension Jump'.
Summary – Ace Rodney, what a guy… Not to be taken seriously
A Boy and His Bush KangarooJohn swung as Rod had instructed and the ball sailed through the air effortlessly, it easily had thirty yards on his last shot.
"Wow," he marvelled. "That really does work."
Behind him Rod's expression was smug.
"So," John continued, turning back to the other man. "Did you and your John really draw straws to see who could come here?"
Rod smirked and nodded. "Yeah, Shep was pretty pissed off when I won, believe me."
"And you wanted to come?"
Rod looked at him in disbelief. "Of course I wanted to come, this is the adventure of a lifetime. How many chances am I going to get to go poking around another reality?"
Suddenly his headset beeped and he clapped a hand to it. "Rod McKay." He listened in silence and then nodded once. "I'll be five minutes."
He winked at John. "Sorry to cut this short, Old Love, but I'm needed in the lab."
John stepped forwards anxiously. "We're still meeting in the Mess later, right?"
Rod nodded. "Of course, see if you can get them to smoke a kipper for me, Skipper."
John watched him leave with a slightly besotted expression on his face. "What a guy," he mumbled.
