The gang exited the mansion, immediately taking in the wonderful cool air that blew towards them. They also noticed that the sun was setting over the horizon, indicating that they had been in the house for at least two hours.
"Ah, fresh air! I've never been more happy to see the world!" Waluigi cheered.
"Waluigi and happy do NOT go together well in the same sentence. You're possessed, aren't you?" Dixie teased.
E. Gadd was seen walking up to them. "Aha! I see you've found the gem! It was King Boo that had it, wasn't it?"
"Yes, it was. Him, a few other ghosts, and those three dysfunctional underlings were guarding the gem. We completely prevailed though, just as I thought we would! Though I have to admit, we DID get hurt a lot. They were a lot tougher than I expected..." Daisy confessed.
"I got to sing and fight with Goombella though! It was so incredible yet brutal and abusive!" Peach cheered in happiness.
"Ah, I had suspected as such. There was no doubt that King Boo was going to be stronger than last time. But I'm glad that you all made it through! Especially you, Luigi! You look like you took a bad beating, but you've come such a long way since I first met you nonetheless!" E. Gadd praised.
Luigi didn't respond at all. He just stared off in to space, creating an awkward moment.
"Um...anyways, we better get going now, E. Gadd. We have to return this gem back to this place called Mushroom Corps so they can keep it safe. Wait! Do you wanna come with us? There's a place where you can stay at for a while!" Birdo suggested.
"No thank you, I'm fine right here. Besides, I'm working on a new invention anyways...let's say that it's going to BLOW your mind! Heh heh heh..." E. Gadd evilly cackled, making an even more awkward moment. Everyone said their goodbyes and started walking back to the ships.
"Waluigi, can I talk to you for a second? I know this sounds out of nowhere, but I need to let this out somehow," Rosalina said as she ran up to him.
"Of course! You can talk to me about anything! Pretend that I'm a therapist or a counselor, spill out every single detail you can!" Waluigi said, overdoing his part.
"...Right. Anyways, when I did that spell, I told you that it took a lot out of me correct? It made me feel drained, right?" Rosalina remarked.
"Yes you did tell me that. Why?" Waluigi asked.
"Well...remember when I said that back in 2007, there was this 'thing' that killed a few of my lumas so I used to magic to try to destroy it but I went too far and ended up hurting some of my lumas purely cause I was out of control?" Rosalina said.
"Yes...I remember it. Go on..."
"Well, when I did that spell and when I had those black eyes...I felt exactly the same as I did when that happened. I didn't feel like myself. I felt overpowered. I felt like something was taking over my body. You wouldn't believe how happy I was to see that I didn't go back into that darkness again. But I was so close though! I could feel it happen. I know this might sound selfish, but I don't wanna do that ever again. I can't go back to that darkness!" Rosalina cried and hugged Waluigi. Waluigi was caught off guard a bit, but smiled and hugged her back.
"Hey now, it's okay. You did what you had to do. Honestly, if it weren't for you, we wouldn't have gotten that gem! You made it possible for us to beat on those bastards and get the gem! It's all thanks to you, you know. We couldn't have done it without you," Waluigi spoke with genuine kindness. This made Rosalina feel happy and warm, knowing and even feeling that Waluigi was being real with her this time.
However, DK was witnessing it all from behind them, scowling during the entire situation. Yoshi caught another notice of it.
"Dude, you've got jealousy written all over your face! You hate it when they talk, don't you?" Yoshi talked to him. DK jumped at his sudden interruption.
"Wh-what!? Um, no! I don't know what you're talking about! Go bother Birdo about your obsession with fruit or something!" The ape said in defense.
"DK, give it up. I know that you like Rosalina, hell, all of us here know it! So why don't you just go for it then while you still have the chance? Even though Waluigi can be a douchebag, he seems to be more friendlier when he's around her, which is actually scary now that I think about it. And before you know it, one thing will lead to another and they'll fall in love, get married, have kids, get divorced, get re-married, and Waluigi will die of old age while Rosalina stays young forever because of her space queen status which is even scarier than Waluigi being friendly!" Yoshi exaggerated.
"Thanks so much for adding some positivity to my situation. You really know how to make someone feel better because of your fantastic choice of words," DK said in sarcasm and rolled his eyes.
"Okay, I may have over done the marriage crap, but still DK! Rosalina is a nice and beautiful girl and you're a confident and mature good looking ape! Those personalities when mixed together are amazing!" Yoshi said more brightly this time.
"I DO want to go for it Yoshi and the thing is, you're exactly right about our personalities. We would be a perfect fit. That's one of the reasons why I like her so much," DK agreed.
"So...what's the problem then? Or are you just playing mind games with me? I DO not like to be played with, bro!" Yoshi raised his voice. DK sighed and shook his head.
"Yoshi...how can you not see it? It's right in front of you. The entire reason for why I want to be with her but can't is standing right here," He said. Yoshi raised his eyebrow.
"That doesn't make any sense. You're telling me that you, yourself, can't be with her because you're stopping herself from being with her? Do you have some kind of multiple personality disorder or something?" He groaned confusedly.
DK sighed again. "Okay, here it is. Me. Monkey. Rosalina. Human being. Get it now?"
It took a while for Yoshi to analyze it all but once he did, he nodded his head. "I see. That's right. Monkeys and humans don't go together at all...I can't believe I didn't realize it at first. I'm so sorry, DK."
"It's like I DO want to be with her, you know? I wanna get to know about her more and come to understand her life but...it's never gonna happen, is it? Let's face it Yoshi, no human would ever want to 'go out' with a monkey. It'd be completely awkward and wouldn't work out. The only reason why I'm mad at Waluigi a lot is not only because he acts like a jerk, it's also because he has everything I don't. I KNOW he has a better chance of being with Rosalina but I've always denied it until now. I know this sounds like a crazy and idiotic situation but...I do think we have a good connection. Too bad it can't go further than that..." DK confessed.
"Wow DK...I just don't know what to say. You'll find somebody though, I'm positive of it. Rosalina isn't the only girl out there you know. What about Candy Kong? She's interested in you, isn't she?" Yoshi asked.
"Yeah but she's kind of a homewrecker, if you didn't know. She dated Funky Kong and cheated on him for Swanky Kong and then cheated on him with Lanky Kong! I'm not into women like that," DK answered.
"Ah I see. Still though, you'll find someone DK. Your personality and charm is too desirable to be wasted. You're going to have a successful love life, I just know it!" Yoshi said in encouragement.
DK couldn't help but smile. "Thanks dude. I'm glad I have you as a best friend. I know we haven't had a lot of personal conversations in a long time, but it really feels good confessing all of that out to you."
"Awwwwww that was too sad! It's like a tragic love story, you know? Someone needs to make that into a movie about a talking creature falling in love with a human but knowing they can't be together because of the species issue. It would be a box office hit I tell you!" Toadette spoke in sadness.
"What the? Were you listening to that entire conversation!?" DK shrieked.
"Yes I did. I have no regrets whatsoever!" Toadette proudly replied.
The group made it to the arwings and blasted off.
"Come in, everyone? You all there?" Arfur spoke.
"Yeah, we're here! We got the gem, Arfur! We beat the boss of Luigi's mansion and now we're heading back to you and we'll celebrate this magically fantastic occasion with a double extra large pepperoni pizza plus 24 breadsticks topped with ranch dressing and a bottle of diet pepsi!" Fire Bro cheered.
"YES! Amazing job you guys! I just know you could do it! We knew you wouldn't let us down!" Arfur praised.
"Um, Arfur? We actually need to speak about something very important with you. It has to do with this 'mission adventure' that we're doing," Luigi finally spoke after a long silence.
"Wait, we do? Why wasn't I told of this? YOU GUYS ALWAYS LEAVE ME OUT OF EVERYTHING!" Peach cried.
"Peach, calm down, I wasn't told of it either! Luigi, what 'important issue' do you need to discuss? And why didn't you tell us about it?" Daisy asked in confusion.
"I'd rather talk about it face to face back at Mushroom Corps. Is that fine with you, Arfur?" Luigi asked.
"Uhh...sure I guess. I'll see you guys in a few minutes," Arfur responded.
"Hey Luigi, is everything okay? You seem and even sound different..." Toad pointed out.
"Everything is fine Toad! There's no need to worry," Luigi reassured. But Daisy thought otherwise...
Five minutes passed by and the group parked their arwings in the same room they always have. They exited, went out in the hallway, and went in the lab to see Arfur and Kylie standing there in anticipation.
"There you guys are! Congratulations on the...WOAH! What the hell happened to some of you!? Was the boss incredibly brutal or something?" Kylie asked in shock. She and Arfur saw that Luigi had a bloody black eye, Goombella looked like she was in pain, Toad was holding his stomach and also looking in pain, there was a big piece of cloth wrapped around Waluigi's left thigh indicating a big wound and there were cuts on his cheeks, Birdo had scratch wounds all over her body, Dixie had a stab wound on her right arm, and Peach had a few marks and bruises on her neck and face.
"To sum it all up, we went through some MAJOR chaos in that damn mansion. Seriously, not only was the boss fight brutal, but the ghosts there were total assholes as well! They tried to kill us in every way possible! If I ever see a ghost again, I'm going to wring its neck and tear it open!" Dixie roared, even though what she just said technically wasn't possible.
"Wow...I...I'm so sorry, you guys. If I had known that there would be that much danger over there, I would've done something to help you all out a little..." Arfur said, taking the platinum gem from Daisy.
"It isn't your fault, Arfur. You didn't know that all that chaos would happen. We're just thankful that our heads didn't get ripped off!" Birdo said.
"I know, right? That would've been so awful! That means that I wouldn't be able to wash my hair and do my makeup!" Peach cried again.
"We'll send you all to the hospital right away and get you treated there. Luckily, none of your guys' injuries seem severe so you should be good to go for the next mission," Kylie said.
"Speaking of that, that's what I said what I wanted to talk to you about earlier, Arfur. It's about the mission. What happened back at the mansion could've ended in a bloody disaster. We were too small of a group to just split up and look for the gem in a haunted area. That is why I want to make a suggestion...we need more people to come on the mission with us. If the next mission is just as or even more difficult than the one at the mansion, then we're going to need all the help that we can possibly get," Luigi stated in a very serious tone. Everyone looked at him in a bit of surprise.
"Woah! So that's what you were going to say earlier? Well why couldn't you have told us that when we were in the arwings? You totally made it seem like it was something catastrophic!" Goombella exclaimed.
"I didn't feel like repeating myself," Luigi answered with a shrug.
"I have to say, I agree with Luigi. The worlds are only going to get tougher from here on out, most likely. The first world was a piece of cake compared to the mansion, but that's only because the first worlds are SUPPOSE to be easy. If we want to make sure that we get the gem back to you guys, we're gonna need backup in case anything awful were to happen to one of us," DK added.
"Awww that's totally going to ruin our group dynamic though! We have amazing chemistry as a group of 13! You're all a bunch of life ruiners!" Fire Bro scowled.
Arfur rubbed his chin, seeming intrigued by what Luigi said. "You know, the thought never crossed my mind until you said that. I agree that having more people come with you can definitely help but the thing is...all we have are 13 arwings! We can't just build a bunch more on such short notice!"
"We can make room on the arwings, there's enough for probably three people to fit in. It really isn't a problem," Luigi replied.
"Even though I wish you would've told us this earlier, I second your thoughts. We may not be so lucky the next time we do the mission, so yeah, we ARE gonna need more people for this. Do the rest of you guys agree?" Daisy asked to the group and they all nodded.
"Most certainly. There is strength in numbers so I strongly believe that this task must be done," Rosalina said.
"...Alright then. I agree with you guys. Even though I have a slight fear that having more people would make doing the mission more complicated, it's better to be safe than sorry. What do you say Kylie?" Arfur asked.
"I guess it could work out. I trust you guys and I believe you know what you're doing so I'll put my faith into your guys' hands," Kylie answered.
"Yeah, that's definitely not putting more pressure on us at all!" Waluigi snarled. Daisy elbow bumped him.
"By the way, do you guys remember when it was reported that Merlon had somehow gone missing right before you left to go to the mansion?" Arfur asked.
"We remember it. Why, did you guys find him?" Toad asked.
"No...but what we found on the security footage of his room was disturbing. These two...shadowy looking things...they appeared from the ground I think. It looked like they floated towards Merlon. They grabbed the poor guy and they...disappeared into the shadows with him I guess. We have absolutely no idea what the hell those things were suppose to be. Were they ghosts? I was seriously creeped out by what I saw," Arfur explained.
"Shadowy looking things...AH! Those had to be Beldam and Marilyn! Yeah, we encountered them at the mansion along with a dummy in a sheet called Doopliss, who was working with them and they were all working for Tatanga!" Yoshi exclaimed.
"WHAT!? They were working for Tatanga!? Please tell me you guys managed to get some info out of them!" Kylie said.
"Actually we did. Doopliss told us that Tatanga saw us when Merlon was telling us about the worlds through a thing called a scepter, which is used like a crystal ball. He found out about the worlds through that," Birdo explained.
"Oh my god...so he WAS actually spying on us. I never thought for one second that he would get all the info through using that kind of method. This guy just keeps pulling out all these random tricks that we don't see coming. What else did you find out?" Arfur said.
"Well, we found out how he's gonna do his little world domination plan. He's making his Koopatrol army build a machine that will somehow kill half the people in the world and make the other half his slaves. Doopliss said that production on it is going faster than expected and should be finished soon..." Dixie answered.
"You have got to be kidding me. So you're telling me that we have WAY less time than we thought we did!? GOD! This guy is freaking annoying, I tell you!" Kylie complained.
"But the question right now is, when is Tatanga's machine going to be finished? And where exactly did Beldam and Marilyn take Merlon to? I assume they took him to the island that Tatanga and everyone else is on at, but then, what would they do to him there? Torture him for info? Keep him prisoner? Make him a slave? So many possibilites...but unfortunately, there's nothing we can do for him since the island is still blocked by a force field...which means we still need the rest of the gems," Arfur expressed in worry.
"Not to sound pessimistic or anything, but do you honestly think we'd have enough time to get the rest of the gems? I mean, we still have 7 more worlds to go through and who knows how long that could take? I'm not saying we should give up or anything like that, but we need to consider every possible angle of this situation," Birdo stated.
"I...I simply cannot answer that Birdo. If I knew exactly how far in the production of Tatanga's machine is going along with a few details of said machine, I'd be able to give more of an answer but since there isn't, I'm not gonna say yes or no. This leads us back to what Luigi said about bringing more people, which can indeed help," Arfur said.
"Yes, you all must rally up as many people as you can to join the mission. However, we'll save that for tomorrow because you guys are clearly exhausted and worn out. We'll send you guys to the hospital to get treatment for your wounds and you can sleep there. You guys deserve a rest," Kylie said. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
"You're damn right we do! I'm so tired that I'm craving peanut butter oreo cookies! See? That doesn't even make sense, which just shows you how tired I am!" Toadette complained.
"Hey Kylie! Do you have hair under that big hat of yours or are you just bald?" Fire Bro asked as he got too closer to the koopa.
"What? Of course I have hair under here! I just like to keep it tied up!" Kylie answered and rolled her eyes.
"Well if you keep your hair hidden and tied up all the time, then what's the point of having hair? Are you a tomboy extremist? Or do you have insecurity issues? Let me sniff you and see if I can get an insecurity scent off of you!" Fire Bro hyperactively said and proceeded to sniff her but Kylie angrily pushed his face away.
"Can you just stay away from me already!? God, why do you always like to be so nosy and annoying all the time?" She raised her voice.
"HA! I am sooooooooo not annoying! Now THIS is annoying!" Fire Bro cheered and proceeded to grab Kylie's hat with his teeth, take it off her head, and wildly shake it like a dog would.
Everyone gasped at what they saw.
"Oh my god...her head is so shiny! I'm not sure whether to be amazed or freaked out!" Toad yelled.
"HA! I knew it! You lied about having hair! 10 points for Fire Bro AKA the master of the universe, and zero for Kylie Koopa AKA Baldie Koopa! I WIN!" Fire Bro annoyingly cheered.
"GRRRRRRRRRRRRR! THAT'S IT, I'VE HAD IT!" Kylie exploded in rage. She grabbed a nearby desk drawer and smacked Fire Bro with it. Everyone screamed at the sudden violent act. Fire Bro was knocked to the ground and Kylie proceeded to bash in Fire Bro's head with the desk drawer about five times before Arfur could successfully get her away from the psychopath.
"Holy crap, she really reached her breaking point, didn't she!? That was so cool!" Yoshi said in awe.
"KYLIE, CALM DOWN WOMAN! You know the policy, no matter how annoying our workers get, NEVER physically hurt them!" Arfur scolded and let Kylie go.
"ARFUR, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WANTING TO DO THAT! 2 YEARS WORKING WITH THAT SON OF A BITCH IS 2 YEARS TOO FREAKING LONG!" Kylie screamed.
"Okay okay, you know what? Head to the break room and take a breather. I'll drive these guys to the hospital," Arfur said. Kylie sighed and slowly walked away.
"Um, is he going to be okay?" Dixie asked in concern.
"He'll be alright...well, aside from the bloody nose, the black eye, and the bloody bruises all over his cheeks, forehead, and neck of course. He's still breathing," DK answered while examining the psycho's body. He picked him up and headed out with the others.
Nastasia walked along with Mimi to the cafeteria.
"God, why do I feel so nervous seeing him? I mean, I really shouldn't you know? We had a lot of good times together so I have no idea why my nerves are acting up! He hasn't gone insane while he's been gone has he!?" Mimi exclaimed.
"Just stay calm, Mimi. Bleck is fine right now, he'll explain everything once you see him," Nastasia assured.
"Alright then. But it just feels weird since it's been six years since I've last seen him. I'm actually a bit worried to hear the story of how he got returned back to his 'pre-human' self since I'm sure it involves some type of tragedy," Mimi said.
"Yes...well...you'll deal with it somehow. Come on," Nastasia impatiently said and entered the cafeteria. Mimi instantly recognized the backside of Bleck at the nearest table which made her almost gasp. Tippi and O'Chunks were there as well.
"Bleck! Guess who's here!" Nastasia called out. Bleck turned around and immediately smiled when he saw Mimi.
"Count Bleck! After all this time, I finally get to see you again! You have no idea how much I have missed you!" Mimi cheered, suddenly not feeling so nervous anymore. They both hugged.
"Mimi...you've grown a lot since I've last seen you. Are you holding up well?" Bleck asked and then broke off the hug.
"Yes I am, well, I'm coping with the whole destruction and kidnapping thing as well as I can be. But how about you though? You need to tell me everything about what happened to you between the minute you turned human until now!" Mimi demanded.
"Well, after running off with Tippi when I turned human, we lived a happy life for about a few years. But then one day, in the town we lived in, there was a tremendous earthquake and our house got shattered apart. There was this kind of monster of some sort that was causing the earthquake and it tried to kill everyone it could. It wasn't like anything I've seen before...the only thing I can describe it as would be that it was a dark mass with the formation of a very tall Koopa. I was on the other side of town while Tippi was still at the house so I tried to drive there as fast as I could but this monster blindsided me and threw me off my trail. I crashed into the river and managed to get out alive, but this monster was still coming after me. I was hurt, so I accepted my fate and just laid there...and then I was hit with this dark beam that came from where it's mouth is suppose to be. I felt my body joly in pain for a few seconds and I passed out. I woke up a few hours later and noticed that it was night time...and I also noticed that I just felt different. I didn't feel like me, you know? I looked at my hands and saw that they were different and my clothes had changed too! I looked at my rearview mirror from my car and was shocked to see that that monster had changed me back into this. How did he do that, though? And why? Why was I not killed? Did that thing somehow knew that I had changed into a human form and was happy with my life so he changed me back to torture me? I guess I'll never know. I walked back to town and saw that everything was destroyed. There was no sign of life at all. Houses and buildings were ruined and dead bodies laid scattered throughout. I ran to my house and saw that it was also destroyed. I tried looking for Tippi but couldn't find her...after that, I gave up all hope and went into a depressed phase. I wanted to be alone and I wanted to just die but I couldn't bring myself to do it to myself. So I transported myself to a random secluded place and found myself in a little town called Wet-Dry World. Mostly cheep cheeps live there and water floods the place, but overall...I liked it and became use to the comfortable living situation. It was such a fantastic change that I ended up staying there for a few years. But then, everything changed when Dimentio came out of nowhere and tried to steal the town's gem. He revealed himself as working for Tatanga, the one who kidnapped you all. Luckily, me and these group of heroes managed to get rid of him, but Dimentio made me realize something...I was tired of living there and I wanted to get back out to the real world. I wanted to be out in the real world and explore life instead of staying sheltered in an isolated town. So, these heroes took me with them and...here I am," Bleck explained his story.
Mimi had a look of awe and horror on her face. She never thought for one second that Bleck went through so much hell and that Dimentio was back to being evil.
"Bleck...I...I am so sorry to hear all of that. I had no idea that such tragedy would come upon you and Tippi after everything that happened six years ago. You guys deserved to be happy," Mimi spoke, looking as if she was about to tear up.
"Don't be sorry. It was hell for me, but I got through it without giving up on myself and the world. I'm just happy that I'm here with you guys now. It feels like old times..." Bleck smiled with watery eyes.
"So...I assume that this is what happened to you too, Tippi? Wait, did you also tell us this story before except it was in your point of view?" Mimi asked.
"Yes and yes. Well, I DID tell it to you, but Bleck...Blumiere's version had more details in it and whatnot," Tippi confirmed.
"That's right! I remember now. And Dimentio, he's seriously gone to being an evil bastard AND working for Tatanga? UGH! The nerve of that clown!" Mimi pouted.
"Well, can't say I'm a surprised! The stupid bloke was bound ta turn back ta his dirty ways sooner o' later! If I ever see 'im again, I'm poundin' his ugly face in and tossin' him in to the ocean where the bloopers will feed on his body!" O'Chunks raged.
"Um, of course. We'll make sure Dimentio gets what's coming for him when the time arrives for that. Still, the fact that Dimentio is working for Tatanga means that we've got quite a powerful group of baddies on our hands. Makes me question if those heroes can really get the job done..." Nastasia said, adjusting her glasses.
"All we can do right now is wait to hear for any news from them. We don't even know where Tatanga and his baddies are located at anyways," Bleck responded.
Mimi noticed further back into the cafeteria that all the Koopalings (except Roy) were all staring at her with scowls on their faces. Mimi raised her eyebrow, worried about what Wendy told them due to what happened a few hours ago with her and Roy. She started to get nervous and saw the clock near them on the wall. It was 10 PM.
"Um, I'm gonna go to bed now you guys. I am so tired that my eyes are having trouble staying open. It was great to see you again, Bleck. Goodnight everyone," Mimi said and they all waved goodbye to her. She quickly exited the cafeteria and bumped into Roy shortly after.
"WOAH! Oh, hey Mimi! I've been meaning to talk with you actually. Do you have a minute?" Roy asked.
"I don't think now is a good time, Roy. I'm really tired..." Mimi nervously responded, looking back at the cafeteria door.
"It won't take long, I swear! I just want to apologize about what happened earlier. My siblings piss me off so easily, especially Wendy! I have a lot of anger issues as you can clearly tell but I hope this won't ruin our friendship, will it? I mean...you're the only person here that's pretty cool to talk to. I feel like I can just open myself up to you without any fear, you know?" Roy explained. Mimi couldn't help but smile. Roy seemed to be more happier around her.
"It's okay, Roy. I completely understand why you blew up like that. After everything you've told me with your family history, I can see where you're coming from. Before I even talked to you, I just assumed that you and the rest of your family were just a bunch of people who liked to be angry at everything and be as annoying as possible, but now that I've actually known you...you're not like that at all. Yes, you do have some anger in you, but that's because of your siblings bullying you all the time and Bowser not doing a damn thing about it. Not everyone is like them, Roy. I sure as hell am not. I know that you have the potential to see the good in everyone, you just need to step away from that negativity. It's a bad influence on you," Mimi replied, keeping her smile. Roy smiled back, looking as if he understood everything she said.
"What is going on here!?" Yelled Bowser as he, Kammy, and the rest of the Koopalings exited the cafeteria and walked to them.
"Oh no..." Mimi whispered, getting nervous again.
"Ugh, what do you guys want?" Roy rolled his eyes.
"So, Wendy just told me something that you said to her about us a few hours ago. You apparently have had enough of us!? How dare you speak of your own family that way! How dare you even keep so many secrets from us that you chose to explode with those words!?" Bowser scolded.
"You know what dad? Everything that I said was true. I can't stand any of you guys. Ever since I was little all you guys ever did was treat me like I was dirt! You made fun of my eye condition, saying that I looked like a serial killer and that you couldn't stand to look at me with my glasses off! I feel like I'm one huge burden to you guys because all you ever did was try to tear me apart!" Roy shouted. His family was surprised by the outburst.
"Roy, my brother, you know that we all love you, right? Sure, your eyes are creepy as hell but that doesn't mean we hate you! Now stop nagging for once in your life and come with us, we're all ready to get to bed!" Iggy yelled.
"You of all people should not be talking, Iggy! Do you remember the time you said that I had no future? How about when you said that I should cut my own eyes out because no one's gonna think they're pretty? Or what about the time when I was 9 and you punched me in the eye, hoping that a 'black eye' would make it look better? That isn't what you call LOVE, you idiot!" Roy raised his voice.
"Dude, you seriously need to chill the hell out. The majority of all that stuff happened when we were young. Kids say stupid crap all of the time! GET OVER IT ALREADY!" Morton scowled.
"Oh really? Do I need to remind you that 3 months ago, you told me that I should move out so you never have to see my ugly appearance and my raspy voice ever again? You're just making up excuses!" Roy called him out, shutting Morton up for sure.
"Roy...you need to calm down okay? I understand if you're mad, I would be too! But saying you hate your family and that you had enough of us is taking it too far. Can't we just talk about this normally?" Larry asked in a normal tone.
"Why the hell should I? When the hell has talking normally ever gotten me anywhere in this family!? Larry, you told me last summer that it was my fault that I crashed your new car and forced me to pay for the damage. Did it ever occur to you that the REAL reason why it crashed is because, oh I don't know, YOU TOOK CONTROL OF THE WHEEL AND TRIED TO ACT LIKE YOU KNEW WHAT YOU WERE DOING!?"
"Oh, and you are just SO perfect, huh!? You've done things just as bad as we have so stop acting like you're the victim here, man!" Lemmy butted in.
"What bad things? Help defeat Mario? I only did that because all of you pressured me to! I didn't want another huge argument to happen again so I just went with it! Help kidnap Princess Peach? Again, you all pressured me into doing it. I was the only one out of the entire family that thought it was pointless to continuously keep on kidnapping Peach but you guys told me to suck it up, be a man, and just do it! Any 'bad things' that I did to you guys were purely in defense for what you all did to me! So tell me, what the hell did I ever do to you guys that made you want to torture me so much!?"
Wendy scoffed at him and stomped the ground. "This is all that bitch's fault, isn't it!? YEAH, I'M TALKING TO YOU, PIG-TAILED FREAK! She's the one that probably influenced Roy to say all this crap about us! Plus, I've seen her and Roy hang out before what happened earlier today, so it's definitely no coincidence!"
"What!? I never did such thing! Me and him just have fun talking to each other, that's all! Is that such a crime?" Mimi shrieked in defense.
Roy clenched his fist and glared at Wendy. "Wendy...if you EVER say something like that to her again, I WILL hurt you. I am not joking. Stay the hell away from her or you're going to regret it."
"ALRIGHT THIS IS JUST ABOUT ENOUGH! Roy, enough of this bullshit, if you really wanna talk with us then I suggest you calm your ass down instead of spouting off nonsense and bringing unwanted attention to yourself!" Bowser jumped in and got in his face.
"You know what? No. We're done here. I've said everything that I needed to say. Once Mushroom City is repaired, don't expect me to come back to the castle. I am officially done with you all. You guys wanted me to be gone so bad after all these years? Well congratulations, your wish came true. I'm out of here," Roy ended his statement and walked away upstairs. Mimi followed him, leaving the rest of his family in shock.
"He's lying, right? Yeah, I don't believe him for one zecond! He'll come back to us, people like Roy always come back eventually!" Ludwig broke the silence.
"I don't know...the dude seemed pretty ticked off and serious about this...what do you think, Bowser? Should we do something?" Kammy asked.
Bowser didn't respond. His face looked as if it had a mix of emotions on it, but you could clearly he was trying hard not to show a sad face. It's obvious that he never dealt with this kind of situation before.
Roy ran out onto the rooftop and once he got to the middle area, he sat and lied down on the flat concrete, staring at the starry sky. Mimi came shortly after.
"Hey Roy...I...um...I'm so sorry that happened. I never realized that you were the one out of all your siblings that was picked on the most. Now I see everything..." Mimi said and sat down next to him.
"Isn't family suppose to be about love? At least, that's what I've seen on TV and on the internet. Looks it's all just a bunch of lies..." Roy sighed.
"Family IS love, Roy! Don't let what happened in your own family fool you. Regular families aren't like that. I should know because I grew up in a family that loved me, but I was too stupid to realize it at the time because I rebelled and pushed myself away from them. I don't care what the media says about problems like that, it was my fault, not my parents. There is love in the world, you just gotta seek it," Mimi opposed.
"Yeah...I know there is, but...how am I suppose to know what love is when I've never experienced it before?" Roy asked, still staring at the sky.
"I...don't know how to answer that. You'll find it one day though, I promise," Mimi replied and held his hand, which felt soft and smooth surprisingly. Roy smiled a little.
"Well, that outburst really tired me out...I'm about to fall asleep very soon. You wanna stay up here with me?" Roy asked.
"Of course. I like sleeping under the stars anyway," Mimi replied with a smile.
