"Hey there sweet cheeks - come by to play?" Kentaro grinned.
Takeshi froze; his muscles tensed. After so many years of putting up with disturbing things like that coming from Kentaro's mouth, you'd think the young man would be used to this kind of situation. If it weren't Kentaro, Takeshi probably would have reported it to the police as sexual harassment in the workplace but with Kentaro it was just an old friend messing around with his head... he hoped.
"I have no idea to what you are referring," Takeshi responded calmly despite the slightly showing vein on his forehead. He cleared his throat and declared in his most professional tone, "But these papers do need signing."
Kentaro accepted the papers from him and began to sign them, sniffling. "I can't believe you'd be so cold to me... and with our wedding right around the corner."
"Excuse me?" Takeshi's eyes widened in panic.
"Our wedding," Kentaro giggled like a school girl, which Takeshi thought perhaps Kentaro believed he was. "Don't you remember? It's next friday."
"Ha ha very funny," Takeshi responded sarcastically, though still tense as hell.
"I'm not kidding!" Kentaro insisted with tear-filled eyes. "Do you really not remember it all? Setting the date? Sending the invitations? Hiring the caterers? Reserving the place? Hunting down someone who would actually marry two men? Having a custom-made tux made for you? Asking Eri and Sukiyabashi to take part in the ceremony? Picking the music? All of it?"
"Wait... you aren't... serious... are you?" Takeshi stared.
"Why wouldn't I be?" Kentaro cried finally. "Is becoming your loving bride not a serious matter?"
"Please, tell me you're kidding!" Takeshi begged, slamming his hands on the desk.
"Is this kidding?" Kentaro pulled out a little remote and pushed a button on it. All of a sudden, the one wall of his office rotated around to reveal...
"Is that... a wedding dress?" he asked nervously as his eyes fell on it.
"How can you not even remember the dress? You helped me pick the style out!" Kentaro was going hysterical. "You helped me pick the color! The fabric too! You even stayed with me while I had the dress custom-fitted!"
Uh-oh, all of a sudden, things were coming back to Takeshi in a crushing wave of devastation. "Oh damn... this is for real, isn't it?"
"Of course it is!" Kentaro shouted. "I wouldn't pull such a horrendous joke on someone I loved as much as you!"
"Oh damn oh damn oh damn oh damn OH," Takeshi repeated in a rushed panicky tone.
"DAMN!" the boy screamed as he shot up in bed, drenched in his sweat. "A dream? Oh thank gods, it was. Just a dream. It was just a dream. Yes, just a dream," Takeshi thought calmly to himself as he rubbed his head.
"Whoooo! Someone is gonna be getting a big raise after last night!" Takeshi heard Kentaro cheer from beside him in bed just as he suddenly realized this bedroom wasn't his and he wasn't wearing his clothes.
"Oh damn..." Takeshi cried.
