The day that Rena and Yuki came over was the day that everything changed for Tatanga. For the first time in two months, he felt anger. For the first time in a long time, he wanted to scream and release his rage out into the world. But he chose not to. He held it in, just like with all the other godawful that's been happening to him these past few years.

Tatanga sat on his bed, analyzing the anger he was feeling. He wasn't exactly sure who he was angry at. Was it Rena? Was it the world? Or was is just himself? Perhaps some combination? Either way, this anger made him realize something. He realized that he was sick and tired of letting all these bad things happen to him. He wanted to control his own destiny, but how? He isn't God or some kind of deity. He doesn't have magical powers. But the idea really interested him. What if he could become happy and satisfied with his life by getting anything he wants and eliminating the negative aspects? That would be a perfect kind of life. It actually made him smile. Tatanga felt alive for once.

Six hours had passed and it was almost 1 AM. Dad had not come home yet, even though he was usually back by ten. Tatanga had made himself dinner a few hours earlier so he was taken care of in that department but he was truly worried if something bad happened to him. He was so worried that he couldn't sleep. Even though the two had become increasingly distant overtime, deep down, Tatanga still cared for him just a little bit. At the same time though, he despised him for treating him like he wasn't even there at times. It was a complicated feeling to follow.

Just as Tatanga was about to fall asleep on the couch, he heard the door slam open. Tatanga almost fell to the floor since the noise surprised him.

"Dad! You're home! Where were you? Did something bad happen?" He asked.

"Oh...look at you, you finally decided to crawl out of your cave, eh? Heh heh heh. It's about damn time you came to your senses..." He said with his words slightly slurred and stumbled over to the kitchen.

"Dad...are you drunk? You know it's not safe to drink and drive!" Tatanga said in worry.

His dad slowly turned to him and laughed again. "You know what, son? I am drunk. And you know what else? For the first time in months, I actually had fun. This gorgeous woman from my work offered me to hang out at her place for a while. Booooy, she sure knows how to make a man feel real good! Heh heh heh...but...son, everytime I come back home I'm always reminded that you decide to lock yourself away and be depressed over nothing. All you ever do is make me feel guilty and ruin the day because I feel like I'm not doing a good enough job to connect with you! But you wanna know something? That...that's all your fault. Not mine. At this point, I really believe you have become hopeless. Did you know that I never wanted kids in the first place? Heh, your mom is definitely good at getting what she wants. I'm kinda glad she left..."

Tatanga widened his eyes and covered his mouth in shock. He never thought that his dad of all people would say something so vile to him.

"I...I...I didn't realize I was such a burden on you..." Tatanga whispered.

"Yeah, well, now ya know. I'm gonna go take a shower and head off to bed now. I don't have work tomorrow, but I'll probably be out again cause this new girl in my life literally rocks my world. I wonder if she would let me sleep over..." Tatanga's dad spoke as he left to his room.

Tatanga stood there for the longest time, thinking through everything his dad told him. He could feel the rage building up through his body. It seems like everybody always leaves him now.

"...GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Tatanga roared then picked a nearby flower vase and smashed it against the wall into tiny pieces. He screamed so loud that his ears were ringing. It felt good to get that out.

Tatanga ran over to the kitchen and went into one of the drawers then got out a pack of matches. He then searched through the cabinet under the sink and got out a big bottle of gasoline. He walked over to his dad's room and heard the shower running. His dad must already be in. Boy, was he in for a surprise once he got out...

Tatanga opened the gasoline bottle and poured it all over his dad's bed and the surrounding furniture. He then lit one of the matches and flicked it onto the bed. The fire quickly spread throughout the room while Tatanga simply exited and shut the door. But he wasn't done yet. He splashed the gasoline everywhere that he possibly could, on the floor, on the walls, on the couch...it was as if he was experiencing a mental breakdown. Once the bottle was empty he threw it to the floor and walked towards the front door and opened it. He got another match, lit it, and flicked it to the ground, right where a large puddle of the gasoline was. The fire quickly spread everywhere like before but Tatanga didn't bother to watch the show as he shut the door and walked off into the night.

"NO!" Tatanga screamed and fell off his chair.

"Ah! What...oh my god...that was another dream...why do I keep on having these!?" Tatanga shrieked and started to cough heavily. He could almost smell the smoke from the burning house.

"I just don't understand. Why the hell can't I forget what happened then!? WHO THE HELL IS DOING THIS TO ME!?" Tatanga roared and kicked one of the chairs out of rage.

A few loud knocks were heard on his door which made him jump.

"Uhhh...come in!" Tatanga said as he put the chair back into position so no one would think that anything suspicious happened.

Beldam and Marilyn came into the room. "About time you woke up, Tatanga! We came in here a few hours ago to tell you the info we got from that high tech place but you were in deep sleep!"

Tatanga widened his eyes. "I was!? What the hell...why is this happening to me now of all times..."

"Are you okay, Tatanga? You honestly haven't seemed like yourself lately. You've been more on...edge, if I should say," Beldam admitted.

Tatanga quickly shook his head. "N-no! Everything is fine. I guess I'm kinda stressed out from this whole world domination plan, but I'm still going through with it no matter what! Now then, the information you got on those gems. You got them?"

"Yes sir! All on this paper write here in clear handwriting! To be honest though, some of these locations seem a bit familiar, but at the same time, they also seem out of reach because me and Marilyn here looked them up and found out that they were in different worlds! I had no idea the ancients went THAT far to protect the sacred Crystal Star Rod!" Beldam said as she gave the paper to Tatanga.

The purple alien quickly examined the notes and widened his eyes again. "Oh...oh my! I know these places! Well, most of them I think. But...these are such random places to put the gems in though. Well, whatever. The plan for right now is to stop those fools from getting another gem! Since we have no idea how much progress those guys have made, we're gonna have to split up on this one. Beldam and Marilyn, I want you two to check out this Goldenrod City place and see if you can find anything that indicates info about the gem or if they have already been there. I'm going to tell Dimentio to investigate this desert place and I shall use my airship to check out this area where some industrial ship lays."

"Alright then...but since this IS a different world we're going to it's going to be a bit tough getting there since our 'teleportation' powers are a bit limited..." Beldam said.

"I know that, but I also know that you can do it without fail...RIGHT?" Tatanga asked, raising an eyebrow.

Beldam gulped. "Y...yes, I can. Of course. But what about Doopliss and Grodus though? What are they gonna do while we're gone?"

"Doopliss...I'm gonna ask him to get something for me. As for Grodus? Don't worry about him. He's useless right now and the only reason I'm keeping him here is cause he let me use his rod thing. Truth be told, I'm thinking about eliminating him soon..." Tatanga revealed. Beldam and Marilyn looked at each other in fear.

"Um...right then...we'll be on our way now," Beldam quickly said and the sisters disappeared into the shadows.

Tatanga immediately exited his room and walked down the old and stone looking hallway to Doopliss' door. He knocked on it and Doopliss immediately answered.

"Hello Doopliss. I want you to do a favor for me. Do you think you can use the secret passage to get back into Mushroom City and get something from a drug store that can make me not fall asleep?"

Grodus was focusing on an unlit candle on a small table in his room. He concentrated hard on it.

"Ignis," He said, but nothing happened. Grodus sighed and tried again.

"Ignis!" He said a bit louder, but nothing happened again. Grodus started to get frustrated.

"IGNIS!" He screamed and the candle suddenly lit in a huge flame. Grodus smiled and started to laugh at his success. He focused on the candle again, and suddenly, the candle flew right into his hand. Grodus laughed again in glee and blew out the candle.

"Excellent! I can move stuff without even saying a word now! This is great. Before I know it, I'll be able to become powerful and easily take down Tatanga," Grodus schemed in excitement. He then got another idea. He took the dark arts book with him and walked over to the place where his window once was. He looked out and saw a few of the Koopatrol guards swimming and playing on the beach. Grodus opened his book and continued to flip through the pages until he saw something that caught his eye.

"This is called Unda...the ability to control water as small as a puddle and as big as an ocean," He read out loud. He felt iffy about this since this seemed to be bigger than what he's done for but he decided to try it out. He leaned his head out and concentrated on the waters near the beach. He extended his arm out and aimed it towards a certain part of the waters. He breathed in and out heavily as he took all his effort into making this work. He could feel the power surging throughout his body, so much so that it hurt him a little but he stuck through the pain since he really wanted this to work.

"UNDA!" Grodus roared and quickly pulled his arm back. Suddenly, a humongous and wide wave crashed onto the beach, almost covering the entire area. Grodus gasped and dropped his book, not thinking that it would be that strong. Luckily, none of the Koopatrols drowned but they sure as hell were scared for their life and got out of there. The beach from what he saw was soaked and Grodus let out another laugh. It's been a long time since he felt this powerful.

These last few chapters were pretty heavy, weren't they? Next chapter is the Variety Show so things will get back to being comedic and random once again!
