Coco: Hey, you guys, did you know in my last version of this story that I had an SBS corner much like Oda-sensei? Well, if you're interested, please submit some questions either via review or PM. All SBS corners are held at the end of each arc, so there's plenty of time to submit between each one.

Wren hummed to herself once more as she was making tea in the kitchen. As the water was boiling, Wren was looking through the different tea leaves that Sanji had. Since Nami was still sleeping soundly and seemed to be doing fine, Wren decided it was her turn for a nice pot of tea. She was just glad Sanji had a wide variety to choose from. After finding the tea she wished to brew, she put what she decided not to use back in their proper places. The tea kettle let out a high pitch whistle just as Sanji came into the kitchen. Wren took the kettle off the stove then turned off the stove.

"Are you finding everything you need, Wren-chan?" Sanji asked.

"Yes, I have everything I need." Wren said. "I hope you all will join me as sharing the tea with others makes it more enjoyable."

Sanji smiled at her in reply as she finished getting the tea ready for everyone to enjoy together. He watched her work while noting she seemed to have a technique to what she was doing.

"Do you enjoy brewing tea, Wren-chan?" Sanji asked her.

Wren nodded as she gave a small hum. Brewing tea became a hobby of hers when she was younger. She wasn't sure what started it exactly. However, it might have been because she's always enjoyed a nice, hot of tea since she was a child. And when she was able to share her love for it with others it made things even better. She remembers all too well the day that she received her first compliment over tea she had made.

-FLASHBACK-

"Doflamingo-sama, Pink-sama, Gladius-sama, I brought you some tea." Wren said as she walked up to the three men.

They glanced down at the young girl as she was carrying over a tray of tea. She always brought them her new tea concoctions since they were some of the few that didn't react violently when she fails on making the tea taste good. Some would think that Doflamingo would punish her for bringing a bad drink to him, but he actually just laughed it off every time. He'd even pat her on the head, and tell her to try again.

"You're really persistent on trying to get this right, huh?" Gladius asked.

"Yes," Wren said smiling. "Thank you all again for trying the tea. I hope it is to your liking."

She then held up the tray holding three cups towards them. Each one of them reached down to grab a cup. Wren stepped back while biting her lip as she watched them bring the cups up towards their mouths. They slowly took sips from the cups, and when they didn't immediately spit them out, Wren took that as a good sign. They swallowed what they drank, and Wren leaned forward waiting for a reply.

"Hmm, this is really good, Wren." Gladius said then took another sip.

Wren looked at it him wide eyes while wondering if she had finally managed to brew something good.

"Yes, it has a sweet aroma with a taste that's pleasing to the mouth." Senor Pink added.

Wren looked at Senor Pink with even more shock, but then a smile slowly started to pull across her lips. She gasped a bit in shock when Doflamingo pat her on top the head. She tilted her head back at him as he grinned down at her.

"You've finally done it, Wren." Doflamingo said as he stroked her hair. "All your hard work paid off. I am proud of you."

Wren's eyes widened since Doflamingo has never come out to say he was proud of her before. Wren then smiled up brightly at the tall blonde man with the first genuinely happy smile she's ever given him.

"I am happy you all like it!" Wren said.

-END OF FLASHBACK-

Wren sighed remembering when she had actually been happy to be part of Doflamingo's crew. Back before what he had down to Corazon, she was happy to call him captain and the crew her family. Doflamingo had saved her after all. However, Doflamingo killing Corazon had been like a slap to the face to remind her that like most humans he couldn't be trusted. It was a lesson hard learned, and a mistake she swore to never make again. She would never let her guard completely down ever again.

"Wren-chan, are you alright?" Sanji asked snapping Wren from her thoughts. "You seem as if you're troubled."

Wren looked to the cook. He and his crewmates seemed different. Like Corazon and Law, they seem like good people. However, she also knew better than to trust so easily, which is why she gave Sanji a small smile.

"Of course, Sanji." Wren said. "I was only thinking. Now the tea is done. Shall we all share it together?"

Then without another word, Wren picked up the tray to balance in one hand before she left the kitchen. Sanji watched her go while hoping that she was really okay. Just what had she been thinking so hard about that it would make her space out like she had?

"Everyone, I have tea." Wren called to the others as Sanji followed her outside. "Would you like some to warm yourselves with?"

Vivi smiled getting up to walk over to Wren who held the tray in her hands. Luffy was down below with Nami at the moment to take a turn to watch her, which meant he wouldn't be getting to join the others. Wren had a feeling he wouldn't like tea much anyway.

"Yes, that sounds lovely." Vivi said. "Thank you, Wren-san."

"Yeah, Wren, thanks." Usopp added as he walked over.

Wren nodded her head as the two grabbed two cups for themselves to enjoy. Sanji took one as well while thanking the woman. Even Karoo took a cup though Vivi had to hold it for the duck. Wren then turned towards Zoro who was sitting on the deck and leaned back against the mast. She walked down the steps to go over to him. He glanced up at her as she approached.

"Would you like some tea, Zoro?" She asked as she sat down on her knees beside him.

Before he could reply, Havel, who had been sitting in his lap, popped up causing the snow that had been covering him to fall off.

"I would like some." Havel said. "Do we have any sweets to go along with it?"

"Cats can eat sweets and drink tea?" Zoro questioned with a quirked brow.

"I am no ordinary cat," Havel reminded him. "Now about those sweets."

"Stop being so demanding, ya damn furball." Sanji growled. "I won't allow Wren-chan to lift even a single finger to make treats for you."

Havel only snorted at Sanji in reply, which had the blonde growling even more in annoyance.

"Dumb cook," Zoro, who had taken some tea from Wren, said.

Havel nodded in agreement as Wren set him a cup of tea down in front of him.

"What'd you say, moss head?!" Sanji demanded.

As Zoro and Sanji got into one of their usual spats, Wren found herself giving a true smile. These humans weren't so bad. Maybe a bit foolish…but not bad. Or so she hoped…because…she was beginning to like them.

Wren sat beside Law with a curious look on her face as Corazon stood in front of the two of them. They were taking a small break on a warm and peaceful island when Corazon decided to demonstrate his devil fruit powers for them.

"Now look at this, Law, Wren!" Corazon said as he held up his hands. "This will cause anything I interact with not to make any noise! Calm!"

He placed his hand on his chest with this purple aura spreading out to make an orb around his body. The orb like aura vanished, and a second later Corazon pulled out a vase to smash to the ground. It made no noise whatsoever, which had Wren going "ooo" in awe. However, Law wasn't impressed at all. In fact, he gave Corazon a deadpanned expression as the tall blonde man throughout a peace sign while grinning idiotically.

"Cora-san is funny." Wren giggled behind her hand.

Corazon's grin grew before he went off to the side for a moment. The two kids blinked as they wondered what he was doing. Their eyes widened a bit when he returned and with a bazooka of all things. He put the bazooka on his shoulder while kneeling down on the ground. He turned to give them a peace sign and a big grin as he fired the bazooka at the mountainside. It made no noise at all when the cannonball hit the mountainside, and there was no noise as chunks of rock fell to the ground.

"The direction of his eyes." Law grumbled.

"Isn't that unsafe?" Wren added as she sweat-dropped.

Corazon just kept grinning as he tossed the bazooka away since he was done with it. He then struck an odd pose while doing the same peace sign. Wren and Law tilted their heads having no idea what he was doing now. However, a foul smell then reached their noses, which had them gagging and rearing backwrds.

"Cora-san, that stinks!" Wren whined as she covered her nose. "And it's rude!"

Corazon just laughed as he dropped the power of his devil fruit, which allowed him to be heard again.

"See?" Corazon asked. "You heard nothing, right?!"

"What is that ability good for?!" Law demanded as he stood up. "It's not even cool!"

Corazon winced looking as if he was in pain when Law said those words so bluntly. He even clutched his chest.

"Baby 5's Buki-Buki no Mi is much better than that!" Law added.

Corazon winced again, which had Wren looking at him in concern since he really seemed hurt.

"Damn! You're right!" Corazon said. "I wish I had that power…but no one can have a quiet sleep like me…"

"Whatever!" Law snapped.

The two of them then whirled around to look at Wren when laughter started to leave her mouth. She had a big grin on her face as she continued to let out peals of laughter.

"Eh? What's so funny, Wren?" Law asked frowning.

"You and Cora-san." Wren asked as she kept smiling.

Law's frown deepened as he blushed a bit in embarrassment. He didn't appreciate being called funny.

"You two make me laugh because you make me happy." Wren added as her smile widened.

Law's eyes widened when she said that so sincerely and innocently. Corazon smiled brightly while quickly scooping up Wren into his arms.

"Wren is such a sweet kid!" Corazon said as he rubbed his cheek against hers. "So much better than Law!"

"Oi, what'd you say?!" Law demanded.

Wren laughed again as Law told Corazon to shut his damn trap. Corazon just ignored Law as he continued to hold onto Wren.

Wren let out a small yawn as she slowly began to wake from her dream of an old memory. It has been some time since she's had such a nice rest. Though it seemed as if the quiet was over as a scream filled the air. She blinked looking over towards where Nami rested to see Zoro and Luffy were the source of the noise. She saw Luffy seemed to have something drawn on his face, and he was currently making the most outrages faces at Zoro who was sitting on the ground looking freaked out.

"You two are sure lively this morning." She commented after getting up from her makeshift bed.

"Oh, morning, Wren." Luffy said grinning at her.

Zoro just frowned as he got up off the ground to lean against the bookshelf by Nami's bed.

"Good-morning, Luffy, Zoro." Wren greeted. "Does Nami seem to be doing okay?"

Wren walked over to get a look at Nami herself as Luffy sat back down in the chair at Nami's bedside.

"Not good." Luffy said pouting. "She won't even laugh at the funny faces I'm making to make her feel better."

"Try not to worry." Wren said. "We should be arriving at Drum Island shortly. The weather was becoming calm as of last night, which is a telltale sign that an island is nearby."

As soon as the words left her mouth, the group heard Sanji shout out from above that he spotted land. That was good too since Nami's fever was once more making a raging comeback.

"Are you serious?!" Luffy asked then looked back to the unconscious Nami. "Oh, an island! We found an island! Hey, Nami, did you hear that?! This means we can get you to a real doctor. She'll fix you up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!"

Wren blinked looking down at Luffy's foot, which was bouncing up and down on the floor repeatedly in excitement as he continued speaking.

"Just go already." Zoro said.

"Yes, Luffy, we will watch after her." Wren said.

"Okay!" Luffy said as he bounced up out of his seat.

He then ran out of the women's quarters, so Wren took the seat he left unoccupied.

"He forgot to grab a coat." Wren commented.

"He'll realize that…eventually." Zoro replied.

Wren wondered just how long it would take Luffy to realize he wasn't wearing a coat in a climate as cold as this one. Wren reached up to place her hand on Nami's forehead, and she frowned when feeling that the navigator's temperature has gone up even more.

"How is she doing?" Zoro said.

"I won't lie." Wren said as she glanced at Zoro. "Nami doesn't have much time left."

Zoro frowned because that wasn't good at all, but hopefully now that an island was coming into view, they could get her the help she needs.

"If you wish, you may head up as well." Wren told Zoro. "I will prepare Nami to disembark, and I doubt she would want you in the room as I change her clothes."

Zoro nodded his head in understanding before he went upstairs to join the others. Wren turned to Nami knowing the first thing that needed to be done was find Nami more appropriate clothes for cold climates. As Wren was getting Nami ready to leave, Karoo came down the stairs. He went to join Wren by Nami, and the halfling reached out to pat Karoo on top the head, which had him leaning into her side. As she was petting him, she sensed a large group of people above that weren't her current traveling companions.

"I hope that isn't more trouble." Wren said as she returned to helping Nami. "We cannot afford any more delays."

A few moments later Wren could hear shouting from above, but ignored it as she was placing a coat around Nami. However, when the first shot rang out, she paused. When the second one rang out, she was heading for the stairs, but not before grabbing her sword. Wren was up on the deck seconds later to see the entire ship surrounded by scared villagers with guns. Those two things are never a good combination.

"Now, what could be happening here?" Wren asked. "It would seem you lot are lacking on manners."

Everyone froze to look at Wren as she walked up the steps to join her companions at the front of the ship. Havel hurried over to her side while jumping up to rest on her shoulders.

"Is there a problem, Luffy?" Wren asked as she glanced down at Vivi and Luffy who were bowing towards the villagers.

"No, Wren." Luffy said. "We're just asking these people to let us take Nami to that doctor Mage Pops mentioned."

Wren hummed in reply before looking up at the villagers with her eyes narrowing. She would rather not have to use force to get them what they needed, but if these people didn't relent soon, she would do what was necessary. The large man, who seemed to be leading this ragtag group of villagers, frowned before letting out a sigh.

"I'll show you to our village." Dalton said finally as he turned away from the pirates. "Follow me."

Wren walked beside Sanji, who was carrying Nami, as the two of them, Luffy, Usopp, and Vivi walked with Dalton and his men towards their village. Havel had decided to stay behind this time to watch over the ship with Zoro and Karoo. Apparently, he didn't want to get his paws wet with snow. Not that Wren could blame him. She wasn't fond of snow herself.

"There is one thing I fear I should warn you about though." Dalton said as they walked. "The only doctor we have here is actually a witch."

As Luffy and the others looked at Dalton with wide eyes, Wren's brow quirked curiously. Her father didn't mention that this woman was a witch.

"Huh, a witch?" Usopp asked.

"You've got to be kidding me." Sanji said. "Everything about this country is messed up."

"Drum Island is certainly proving to be interesting at least." Wren commented.

"Actually…that is no longer this island's name." Dalton said. "After a certain incident, this island has become nameless."

Wren blinked at that. A nameless island. Now that wasn't something one comes across often. Even islands that are uninhabited have been given names—if they've been charted at least. She also couldn't understand why an incident would suddenly leave a place nameless.

"An island without a name?" Vivi asked. "I didn't know that was possible."

Before Wren could ask what kind of incident happened that led to this island losing its name, she sensed something coming towards them at a leisure pace. Since it didn't seem threatening, she lifted her head curiously. She saw a large bear about to cross paths with them.

"Waaah! A bear!" Usopp exclaimed. "Hurry everyone! Pretend to be dead."

He fell over into the snow as everyone else kept moving, which left the sniper the only one laying in the snow.

"A hiking bear—he poses no threat." Dalton said. "Don't forget to bow. It's proper manners."

Wren bowed along with everyone else, and the hiking bear returned the gesture. Once the bear passed, Wren started to walk alongside Sanji again though she did glance back at Usopp who was still laying face first in the snow.

"Should we go back for Usopp?" Wren asked.

"Nah, he'll get up and follow eventually." Sanji said.

Wren nodded her head as continued to walk alongside Sanji towards Dalton's village. Wren let out a sigh as she looked up at the sky, which was covered in thick, gray clouds. Snow continued to fall from the thick, and seeing it and feeling the frigid temperatures brought unwanted feelings to Wren's chest.

-FLASHBACK-

Wren stared back at Corazon's body as large tears rolled down her cheeks, and she didn't even try to hide them. She was being carried by Gladius back to the ship as Doflamingo was walking away from his brother. Doflamingo passed Gladius and Wren to walk in front of the others, and when he was passing, he pat Wren on top the head.

She wanted to smack his hand away and to yell at him. But she didn't. She had to stay strong…for Law and Corazon…and for her father. Corazon gave her the chance to make Doflamingo see she was loyal to keep her father safe, and she wouldn't waste what he's done for her. Doflamingo had to be suspicious of her, so she couldn't push her luck.

"We'll be sure to warm you up on the ship, Wren." Doflamingo said.

He continued walking on by as Wren let out a sob as she hugged Gladius around his neck.

"It's alright, Wren." Gladius said as he soothingly rubbed her back. "You're back with your family, and that bastard Corazon is taken care of. You don't have to worry about him anymore."

Wren just let out another sob as she continued to look back at Corazon's body. Her eyes widened a bit when seeing Corazon lift his hand weakly to give her a peace sign. He then barely managed to lift his head to give her one final grin.

'Wren, I love you! Always remember that there are nice humans in the world, and someday you will meet them and truly be free from your hate and fear! Just stay strong.' Had been his last words to her.

-END OF FLASHBACK-

Wren had to work hard to regain Doflamingo's trust after that. He kept her at arm's length for a while, but she managed to get close to him again and climb the ranks. She became one of the most resourceful commanders, and built up quite the information network to help Doflamingo. It was her biggest weapon, but she lost it because she had become too lax. Well, lost almost all of it. Now she feels like she's starting back at square one.

'Cora-san, I promise I will not let this keep me from fulfilling your dream.' Wren mentally swore. 'Doflamingo will fall.'

"Oi, Wren! Wren, are you listening?"

Wren snapped out of her thoughts to see Luffy, who had his neck stretched out behind him to put his face right in hers, had a curious look in his eyes.

"Sorry, Luffy, I was merely lost in thought." Wren said.

"In thought about what?" Luffy asked as his head snapped back into place.

"Nothing of importance." Wren said with a shake of her head.

Sanji looked at her in concern since even though her tone was even, he had a feeling she was upset about something. She has been spacing out quite a bit. Sanji opened his mouth to ask if she was really alright, but Dalton spoke before he could.

"This is the village where we live." Dalton said as the group looked forward to see they arrived at a village. "Its name is Big Horn."

It was a quaint looking village, but the people seemed happy enough as they went about their day. Though Wren noticed there seemed to be some damage to the buildings and other structures. She tilted her head wondering who or what caused it, and if it was tied to this incident that Dalton mentioned.

"Look at all the weird animals walking around everywhere." Luffy commented.

"Well, yeah, this is snow country." Usopp reminded Luffy.

"Look, Nami, we've made it to a village with people." Sanji said as he walked forward with Nami still on his back. "We're here."

Vivi stayed close to the pair as she kept her hand on Nami's back. As the pirates looked around some more, Dalton dismissed the villagers back to their usual business.

"You mean those men weren't your land security forces?" Vivi asked Dalton.

"No, they're just ordinary citizens." Dalton said. "Come to my house for now."

Wren hoped once they had Nami settled in at Dalton's they could call this Dr. Kureha that her father told them about. The sooner Nami was treated the better.

"Hey, look over there, Luffy! It's another one of those hiking bears!" Usopp said as he looked at a large woman in a fur coat walking towards them.

"Another one?!" Luffy asked.

Wren sweat-dropped as Luffy and Usopp bowed towards the woman who called out to Dalton. Wren didn't know if it was humorous or sad that they mistook the woman for a hiking bear.

"I heard pirates landed on the island." The woman said. "I hope everything is alright."

"Yes, everything's fine." Dalton assured her. "There's nothing to worry about."

The woman nodded smiling, and as she was leaving Luffy and Usopp bowed to her begin.

"Do they honestly believe that woman is a bear?" Wren asked.

"Well, they are morons." Sanji said as if that explained it all.

Wren shook her head as another person, who had a big grin on his face, called out to Dalton.

"Just want you to know, Dalton, I'm looking forward to the election in two days." The old man said. "Everyone I've talked to said they're going to vote for you!"

"I'm sure you're not serious about that." Dalton said as he held up his hands. "I'm just an ordinary citizen that's all."

Vivi blinked curiously wondering what that exchange was about. Wren was a bit curious herself. However, they had more pressing matters to deal with.

"I hate to come off as pushy, but may we move along?" Wren asked. "Nami needs to be taken out of this weather as soon as possible."

"Yes, of course." Dalton said. "Please, follow me."
