The next few days seemed like a blur to Lily, and frankly that was okay with her. She seemed to like her classes and she was thriving pretty well in most if not all her subjects. We just won't discuss her P.E. classes. She hadn't once thought about him. Why was he in her thoughts anyways?

According to Robbie, the guy went by Travis. He was a transfer student whose father was a diplomat. What was so special about him? She shook her head. She was day dreaming again. She cleared her throat and looked at the teacher as they walked in and following behind said teacher happened to be Travis. She looked down at her notebook again without glancing into those eyes. She loved his eyes. She would never tell him that though. It's not as if they were even on the same level to be friends. Robbie said that he also had an interest in radio, but his audition tanked, because Waller thought he was a weirdo. Waller was the last person to be calling other people weird, or so she thought anyways.

As the lesson started, Lily began to hum in her head a new song that she had been working on. She was going to try and record it today and play it for Robbie and Ray at the underground and see if they like it. But she was so nervous to do so. She was also very secretly glad that her two best friends didn't end up with the extra curricular after school activities that they wanted. That made her feel selfish, but she didn't care.

Truth was. Lily needed her friends more than they obviously needed her. Things weren't going to well at home, and she needed a break. A distraction from it all. Her older sister Simone felt the same way. But at least Simone got to leave. She packed up and left for college. Leaving Lily alone with the arguing and constant abuse from her parents.

Lily shook her head again. Her mind went there again. Why couldn't she just focus on her school work? Why couldn't she just focus on something else entirely?

She bit her pen cap and thought again as the teacher roared on about the benefits of grammer and what the world will come to if it wouldn't be used anymore. She looked over then at Travis who was writing in a composition book. He was left handed. She pondered that for a moment, remembering something she had read about more creative people are left handed. She smiled as she watched him, but she didn't read it. That was too much of an invasion of privacy. She glanced away as she heard the papers being handed out for their first assignment. She smiled softly as she took one from the teacher and her eyes got wide and she grinned again.

The first assignment was a five hundred word short story, of them telling their younger self what they should have done. It was odd to think that a future would be had afterall for Lily. Well. She at least hope she had one. She smiled again and began to write, tellling her younger self that it was her passion to grow up and play music for the world. Because that's what young Lily Randal wanted to do. She wanted to play music. She wanted to get lost under the heat of the lights on stage. Live in a pretty house. Have a family. And above all us. She wanted to make sure her younger self knew that it was okay to have hopes and dreams.

But she just wanted to forget...she wanted somewhere in her mind, that was free of pain. Abuse. Neglect. Everything. She wanted to be somewhere where she was loved.

The bell rang and Lily looked up and into a pair of stormy eyes. Travis smiled at her. "See you later," he smiled and walked off. Lily smiled at his back. "Yeah. I hope so.." she whispered quietly. Travis had heard her and smiled to himself as he walked out the door.

(Author's Note: These chapters will be updated quick because I have tremendous muse currently. This will be a Trily story if you all care, -I am not even sure this will get read- but I will have some drama with Ray in it as well. It's going to change direction. And the ratings for chapters will probably change. As always. I don't own RFR, but it lives rent free in my head.)
