The next day at school, Lily walked to her locker and began to mess with her lock. She was a bit shaky. And tell you the truth. She was hungry as well. When she got home the night before, she was sent to her room with no dinner because she was not excused for being out as late as she had been. She was hungry. Really hungry and she rubbed her stomach absentmindedly. She turned around when she heard Robbie and Ray come down the hallway. "Hey there pretty lady!" Ray grinned and ruffled her hair. Lily smiled softly. "Hey guys. How was the pizza last night?" she asked. "Oh it was good. Travis liked it too. That guy is weird though. Did you hear all the Buddah quotes he was throwing out there last night?" he grinned. "Shall call him Swami. Because well. Yeah.." he continued on.

But Lily was only half listening. She stared at her locker and grabbed out her books, wishing she could get to the vending machine as fast as possible. When she turned back to face the guys, Travis had walked over and smiled at her softly and handed her a brown paper sack. She took it and looked up at him and into his eyes. "What's this?" she asked softly. "A ham and cheese crossaint.." he smiled. "It's really good. I had one on the way over here, and I thought you might like one too. I got these two.." he murmured and gestured between the two dunderheads that were Ray and Robbie. "Donuts.," he smiled. Lily looked at him and blinked back tears. "Thank you. I didn't get a chance to eat breakfast. I owe you one Travis.." she smiled and swallowed hard.

The gang moved over to the steps and sat down. Lily opened up the bag and dug out the crossaint and smiled. It was still warm. She smiled to herself as she began to eat. It was so good, she thought as she chewed thoughtfully. Thankful for some food. She looked over at Travis who was staring at her and then he looked down at his shoes, having been caught. "This is so good, thank you again Travis.." she smiled after swallowing her first bite and continued to eat. He blushed softly. "Anytime. Food is my love language.." he whispered and took out his notebook and began to write something. Lily wondered what he wrote in that book, but then again. It could just be the assignment they were given yesterday. She thought a little more to herself and got up. "Well. Biology calls my name. See you all at lunch to discuss the uh... project?" she asked. They all nodded in agreement and she smiled to herself as she walked away.

Ray looked after her. "Something has been bugging her, but I think I know what it is finally.." he pondered. Travis looked up curiously. "Oh?" he asked. Robbie nodded. "Well. Her sister graduated last year and left for college a few months ago..." he murmured. "So yeah. I think. Well we think it's that. But with this new project, she should start coming around again." Travis nodded. "Well she seems sweet. Very quiet and shy though.." he murmured thoughtfully. Robbie and Ray looked at each other and began to laugh. "Oh just you wait Swami.." grinned Ray. "Once she opens up to you. You won't get her to stop talking.." he grinned. Robbie nodded in agreement. "We have known her since we were in diapers. It's true man. Just give her time.." he grinned.

Travis sat there, thinking about what he was just told. In reality. He didn't think it was about her sister at all. If anything. It was her home life. But he was speculating, because he didn't have the best home life either. But that was besides the point. His parents were there, but not really. They were always at meetings and functions and fancy dinners all dealing with the government. He sighed and looked at his notebook again and vowed to get to know Lily Randal and what made her think. He grabbed his bag and headed to class.

(Author's Note: Still writing as much as I can. Might be a long story. Might not. But I love a good love story and this one might be it. As per usual. Writing multiple chapters at a time. Still to an empty audience but that's okay too. I don't own RFR. But I still love it.)
