That afternoon was the first offical broadcast of their new radio show. They all sat down in the underground and looked at each other. The silence was deafening. But it would break soon. They have all decided on their names. Robbie was going to be Question Mark, since he has the bad habit at questioning everything. Which in his defense, said it wasn't a bad thing. Ray would be Pronto, because he is always later to things. And it was rather fitting. Shady Lane was Lily. After her favorite song by Pavement, that made her want to start playing guitar. And Travis. Travis was Smog. Smirk and Dog together. The best of both worlds.

They sat there and finally it was almost four. Travis began to talk and count them down into the show. An hour later, they were done. Though they thought it went horribly. Travis and Lily would both have to agree. But they would have to try again tomorrow. There was no shame in trying again. As the group were packing up their things, they discussed going to Mickey's Discs. Lily had shifted her eyes and checked the time. It was only five. If she could just get home by dinner at 630pm, she would be safe.

The gang locked up the underground and headed out. Lily was on the train tracks balancing, in her own little world. Ray watched and and smiled at her softly. "Hey. Getting better balance at that aren't you?" he smiled. She grinned. "I think I am.." she whispered and closed her eyes. Travis watched and and listened to Robbie talk about how generic Cougar Radio was, and he told him about ideas he wanted to see with the show. Travis nodded in agreement. He would love to see RFR take off. He adjusted his bag and looked into the distance.

Soon they were at Mickey's and they all had their respetable drinks. A latte for Robbie. A cappucino for Ray. Lily had a gigantic frappe thing in front of her and Travis had his herbal tea. They were all laughing and talking about things but Lily would go quiet now and again. Travis noticed and decided to single her out as the other two were talking. "Hey Lily. I know you don't know me that well yet. But are you alright?" he asked quietly. She looked over at him, shocked he was asking. "Oh yeah. Never better. Why do you ask?" she whispered. "Well the guys have told me how outgoing you are, and well. You've been super quiet since I've met you and I was just curious.." he whispered. She smiled softly. "I am fine. Don't you worry about me.." she whispered. Travis nodded and took a long drink of his tea, deciding not to push it further. He knew something was up. He just didn't know what it was.

As the time ticked by, Travis was studying Lily. He would notice the light in her eyes when she discussed music. He noticed her smile and her dimple appearing when Ray would make a stupid joke. He noticed a blush crept up her face anytime someone mentioned her performing live. Whether it be on the show or in person. He also noticed that when she was nervous, her knees would bounce up and down. And when Lily bit down on her lower lip, he knew she wanted to input something into the conversation. She was easy to read, but yet so difficult to understand.

And he knew. He just knew that Ray felt deeply for Lily. Whether Lily realized it or not. Ray was showing all the signs of being in love with her. He wanted to impress her and make her laugh. To make her feel good. To make her feel like she was the only one there. And he didn't think Lily understood that. But what Travis did understand, after knowing Lily the short time he had.

Is that he wanted that too. He wanted to be the reason she smiled, and laughed, and thought about things that shouldn't be allowed. He watched her smile one last time before seeing the time. She quickly got up. Rushed out a goodbye and left Mickey's in a hurry.

Travis stared in shock as she left. He was curious. Was she okay? Was she meeting someone? Did Lily have a boyfriend no one knew about? All the questions were plaguing Travis, and he was curious to want to know more.
