Elena woke up in her dorm room alone. She sat up confusedly and looked around the empty room before standing up from her bed and leaving the room.

"Hello?" She called out loudly, wandering through the halls. "Hello?"

From behind her, a voice spoke up.

"Hey. You're awake."

Startled, Elena turned around and came face to face with Stefan.

"Stefan…" She trailed off uncertainly, not used to Stefan being the one to be watching over her. She'd obviously been expecting Toby, or even Caroline or Bonnie. "What are you doing here? Where is everyone?"

"Everyone's gone," Stefan replied. "The whole school cleared out for spring break. You've been in and out since you first woke up."

"Oh. Okay. That makes sense. I thought I was going crazy."

Elena walked over to Stefan, but was stopped by an invisible force field that prevented her from going any farther. She furrowed her eyebrows.

"What's going on? Why…?"

"We had to seal you into the building. We've got a lot of catching up to do. What do you remember?"

Elena paused to think, shaking her head to try and clear the fog.

"The last thing I remember, I was running through the woods. My head felt like it was being attacked by Katherine's whole life. I saw Toby and I threw my arms around him, and… nothing."

"Yeah… that was about three weeks ago."

"Three weeks ago? Wow. Three weeks… yet, it took just one second for Katherine to infect me with some virus that makes me want to kill all my friends."

"Oh, yeah. You know Katherine. She's not about to go out without a grand finale."

"Do you really think this whole lockdown is necessary? I mean, I feel fine."

Stefan sighed. "Look, we shouldn't take any chances. If Damon taught us anything, it's that the virus makes you want to attack at the mere scent of vampire blood. Look, I know this is a lot to process, but just know that Caroline, Toby and Elowen are out looking for the antidote. Toby wanted to be here for you, but he thought the best way to help was to find the cure. In the meantime, we've figured out how the ration blood to keep you satiated. We're going to figure this out, okay?"

Elena nodded. "I need to talk to Toby." She pointed behind her. "There's, um, a payphone in here somewhere. I'm gonna go…"

Stefan nodded. "I'll get you a new phone, don't worry."

"Thanks."

The two parted ways so Elena could make her phone call.

xxxx

Toby, Caroline and Elowen were all in Elowen's car, driving to Dr. Maxfield's makeshift lab that Damon had found him at, when Toby's phone rang. Elowen was the one driving, with Caroline in the passenger's seat and Toby in the back, so he was able to pull it out of his pocket. He frowned when a number he didn't recognize appeared on his caller ID. Elowen looked at him through the rearview mirror.

"Who is it?" She asked.

"Don't know," Toby replied before answering the phone. "Hello?"

"Toby?" Elena's voice rang out through the line. She sighed in relief. "Thank god you answered."

"Elena? You're awake?"

"I am. Sorry, I'm calling you on a payphone."

Toby grinned. "Does that mean you have my phone number memorized?"

Elena smiled into the phone. "Maybe. Katherine put a password on my cell, so I can't use it."

"Ooh. That would explain all those crazy instagram pics you've been uploading lately."

"What?"

Toby laughed. "Kidding! I'm kidding."

"Toby! That's not funny! I have no idea what I've been doing for the last three weeks."

"Nah, it was a little funny. Look, just tell me what you want to know. I'll tell you."

Elena paused. "How did she do it?"

Toby furrowed his eyebrows. "How did she do what?"

"Break your heart."

"Oh, that." He sighed. "She pulled the jealousy card, didn't elaborate when I asked for an explanation, and then proceeded to tell me she was questioning her sexuality when I walked in on her and Veronica sucking face."

"Hang on. She said I was having a lesbian awakening because of Veronica? And you believed it?"

"Actually, that was the dead give away for us. Matt tried to send us this warning text, and Elowen was able to put two and two together."

"Wait… Elowen's the one who figured it out?"

"Yeah. Is that a surprise?"

"Well… it's just… I didn't think she cared enough."

Toby sighed. He looked over at Elowen, who wasn't paying attention, and then at Caroline, who was failing to pretend like she wasn't listening in, before going back to the conversation.

"I know you two don't really get along, but Elowen usually does what she thinks is right. It might not always be the right thing to do, but she's not evil. You didn't deserve to have your life stolen from you, and she knew that."

"Yeah, but… weren't her and Katherine like… friends?"

"Not exactly. They had a mutual understanding, but they were never friends. I know you two don't really get along anymore, and that you tolerate each other for my sake, but Elowen still wants you to be happy. I know it might not seem that way, but… she looks out for you, too, you know? You two are like different sides of the same coin."

Elena awkwardly cleared her throat. "Yeah, sure. So… Veronica fell for the trap that is Katherine Pierce, huh?"

"Don't be mean," Caroline chided from the passenger's seat. "They bonded when Katherine thought she was dying. She didn't have some ulterior motive with Veronica."

"Are you… defending her?" Elena asked incredulously.

"All I'm saying is that contrary to popular belief, the bad guy can be good sometimes when the right person comes along."

"Yeah, but this is Katherine we're talking about. She didn't have a good bone in her body. She was a manipulative bitch."

"Maybe, but you didn't see her when she was saying goodbye to Veronica. She actually cared about her." Caroline paused. "I think."

"You think?"

"Well, yeah. Katherine was actually sincere for once. She gave her a goodbye kiss and everything."

Elena shuddered. "Ugh. Katherine kissed Veronica in my body? Excuse me, I have to go wash my mouth out now."

"I'm pretty sure they did more than just kiss in your body, Elena."

"Oh my god. You think so?"

"I'm 95% sure."

"Oh my god. Veronica's seen me naked?"

"To be fair, you and Katherine have the same exact body. It wasn't anything she hadn't already seen."

"Caroline!"

"What?"

"Do I even want to know what you guys are talking about?" Elowen asked, glancing over at Caroline from the corner of her eye.

"We're talking about whether or not Katherine slept with Veronica in Elena's body," Caroline casually filled her in.

"Oh, she totally did."

"See, Elena? Told ya!"

Toby had brought the phone away from his ear and put it on speaker so Elowen could hear now that she was apart of the conversation. They heard Elena groan.

"Be right back, I have to shower."

Elowen raised an eyebrow as she watched the road. "Are you saying this because Veronica's a girl and not a guy?"

"What? No!" Panic filled Elena. "I'm not- I fully support people like her-"

"People like her?"

"That's not what I meant! I just mean- Look, I feel a little violated, okay? I just found out somebody used my body to have sex with someone who hates me. It's almost like I was… taken advantage of, or something. It was my body, and I didn't even have the option to consent to it."

Elowen knew exactly what she was talking about because she experienced the same thing when Marisol was taking over her body. She shrugged without missing a beat even though Elena couldn't see her.

"Fair point."

Elowen pulled into the parking lot of the abandoned warehouse where Dr. Maxfield's lab was and she killed the ignition.

"We're here."

"Okay, Elena, I've gotta go," Toby spoke up. "We're at Wes's hideout. The cure for this thing should be here, and I'll have it for you in no time."

"Okay. I'll talk to you later?"

"Of course you will. Bye."

Toby ended the call and the three of them piled out of the car and into the warehouse. They found the lab and started looking through the stuff before Elowen found a tape recorder. Out of curiosity, she pressed play.

"A good day," Wes's voice rang out. "I managed to extract werewolf venom from Nadia Petrova's blood. The addition of the venom will make the ripper virus even more lethal to vampires."

"Oh my god," Caroline breathed in shock as Elowen looked over at Toby, both of them sharing equal looks of alarm.

"So, werewolves are real?" Someone said from behind them, startling the three. "I always thought that was, you know, a joke."

They all turned and Elowen rolled her eyes when she saw who it was.

"Oh, it's you."

Toby looked between Elowen and Enzo. "Uh, Elle? Care to fill us in?"

Elowen nodded at Enzo. "This is Enzo, Damon's new murder spree buddy."

Enzo's eyes landed on Elowen. "You know, Damon didn't mention that you were judgy."

"I'm sorry, did it sound like I said that with a judgy undertone?"

"Now that I think about it, no, but you're giving me an attitude. Damon did mention that bit."

"Look, I don't know what you're doing here, but I don't want any part of it. I already don't like you. Don't press your luck."

Enzo threw his hands up in surrender. "This is me waving around the white flag, sweetheart. I'm here for the same reason you are. I want this vampire feeding virus out of our lives."

Elowen paused for a second before tilting her head.

"You have the antidote."

"Now, was that just you being smart, or was that your nifty witch power Damon told me about?"

"Both. Where is it?"

"Swear that you're not going to kill me, and I'll tell you."

"I already said, don't press your luck. You're currently pushing it."

"Alright, alright," Enzo said quickly, taking a step back. "I don't have it on me. I have to take you to it. Up for a road trip?"

Elowen, Toby, and Caroline all shared a look before Elowen sighed.

"Fine. No funny business."

"You got it. Come on. We're losing daylight."

As Enzo turned to leave, Elowen faced Caroline.

"Call Stefan, fill him in on what's going on."

Caroline frowned. "Why should I call Stefan? Why can't you?"

Elowen cleared her throat. "Because, I, uh… broke up with him."

"You did what?!" Caroline asked loudly, her voice echoing throughout the empty warehouse. "Why would you do that? Stefan is your soulmate!"

"Okay, Caroline, calm down. I'll explain later, but right now, we have more important things to worry about. Just call Stefan, okay?"

Elowen walked off, following Enzo without another word. Caroline shot Toby a look, who merely shrugged.

"Don't look at me. This is the first I'm hearing about this, too. This is our only lead, and I don't want to lose it. Come on. Let's see what this is all about first before we call Stefan. Let's go."

Caroline nodded. "Okay."

Her and Toby turned and followed Elowen and Enzo out of the warehouse, leaving the lab.

xxxx

Caroline finally got the chance to call Stefan after Enzo filled them in the rest of the way as they were leaving the warehouse. The rest of them went ahead to Elowen's car, and Caroline hung back to call Stefan. He answered after the second ring.

"Bad news," she said. "It's not the same virus."

"What is it?" Stefan asked.

"Dr. Creepenstein was working on the next phase of the virus. When Nadia was sick, he was experimenting on her blood and he figured out a way to extract werewolf venom from her blood and put it in the virus."

"Wait. What do you mean werewolf venom? That means it's fatal."

"Hello! You don't think I would just drop this on you without a silver lining? There's an antidote. I just requires you to come meet me. I'll text you the address."

"Or you could just bring it over here."

"No. You have to go there, and don't ask me why, because I can't tell you."

"Caroline, this doesn't make any sense. Just tell me exactly-"

"If I could tell you, don't you think I'd be there right now to help Elena? I'll text you the address."

"I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what is going on."

"The travelers don't want anyone to know what they're up to, and by anyone, I mean blonde, emo witch types with bad attitudes. No idea why, but when Bonnie's new friend was brought up, Elowen got all weird."

Stefan paused. "When you say blonde friend… are you talking about Liv?"

"Uh, yeah. Why?"

He sighed. "That's Elowen's ex girlfriend."

"Her what? Is that why she broke up with you?"

"Ah, you heard about that, huh?"

"Uh, duh! Of course I did. Seriously, what is up with this whole thing? I mean, are you doing okay?"

"As well as I can be, I guess."

"Okay, spill about this Liv is Elowen's ex thing. I've never heard of her before now. What's the deal?"

"Well, Elowen dated Liv just before she moved to Mystic Falls. She always used to tell me she didn't count Liv as a relationship because they weren't together very long, but… she said there were things about Liv that she never told me about, and to ask Damon for an explanation."

"And?"

"And… Liv is the one that got away."

"What? What do you mean?"

"I talked to Damon about it and… Caroline, Elowen was falling in love with Liv."

"Oh my god. She never told me about this. Does Toby know?"

"I have no idea. Probably not. I think she likes to keep Liv on the downlow so she doesn't have to think about what could've been. Elowen told me she has some things to figure out now that Liv is back in the picture."

"And that's why she broke up with you?"

"Well… not exactly." Stefan sighed. "She said that she hadn't been treating me fairly because she hadn't made a choice and that she was doing right by me by breaking up with me."

"And… do you think she's right?"

Stefan exhaled deeply. "I think… she's doing what she thinks is best for all parties involved."

"And that's letting both you and Damon go."

"Yeah."

Caroline sighed. "You know what this is? This is Katherine getting into her head. She just had to have the last laugh, didn't she?"

"No, I don't think this is that. This has been an insecurity of Elowen's ever since we started the threesome relationship. I think that breaking up with Damon made it glaringly obvious that she was making a choice, consciously or not, and she didn't like the way it made her feel."

"She felt guilty."

"Yeah. She said multiple times before that she would rather have none of us if she couldn't have both, and she was making sure she stayed true to her word."

"You think so?"

"I'm pretty sure."

"I'm gonna try and talk to her. Her breaking up with Damon was justified. It wasn't her 'making a choice'. He was off killing the Whitmore bloodline behind her back and then he turned around and killed Aaron when she wouldn't take him back. She had every right to be angry with him. You didn't do anything wrong. You shouldn't be paying for Damon's mistakes."

"No, I think she needs space. Let's give her at least that for now, okay? Just text me that address. I'll meet you there."

Caroline deflated in dejection, but didn't press the subject any more.

"Okay. See you later."

Caroline hung up and started texting Stefan the address when Elowen popped her head back into the warehouse.

"You coming?"

Caroline looked up just as she pressed send and smiled.

"Yeah! Let's get out of here. This place is giving me the creeps."

Caroline put her phone away and walked out of the building with Elowen so they could leave.

xxxx

A duplicate of Elowen sat in a bar on campus, watching Liv as she worked on the other side of the bar. Bonnie sat next to her.

"I know you didn't need my help today with that spell to trap your friend in the dorms," Liv said to Elowen. "You're more than capable. Admit it. You just wanted to see me."

Elowen rolled her eyes. "You wish, Liv."

Liv smirked. Bonnie looked between Elowen and Liv suspiciously.

"How do you two know each other again?" She asked.

Liv shrugged. "We went to high school together."

Elowen and Liv shared a glance. Both of them knew they were more than just classmates, but neither of them wanted to put it out there that they dated. It wasn't really anybody's business but theirs. Bonnie nodded slowly.

"Got it. Well, I'm gonna go. Keep me updated on the cure?"

Elowen nodded. "Sure."

As Bonnie stood up to leave, Elowen grabbed a lone rag and went off to clean one of the empty tables, deciding to help Liv clean the place up. Liv jumped over the bar and silently stalked over to Elowen until she was directly behind her.

"So," she said, scaring Elowen a little and taking her off guard. She jumped and quickly whirled around to face Liv, who was smirking when she saw the types of reactions she was getting out of Elowen. Liv came over and sat on the edge of the neighboring table. "You seein' anybody?"

Elowen busied herself with wiping down the table, tightly gripping the rag, as she tried to make herself seem nonchalant.

"No. I, um… actually just got out of a serious, long term relationship."

Liv faux pouted, not even trying to fake being sympathetic.

"Aw, that's too bad. What was her name?"

"His name was… you know what? Nevermind. It was complicated anyway. I don't really want to think about it."

"So… you need a distraction?" Liv asked as she quietly hopped off of the table, sneaking her way towards Elowen again without her noticing. Elowen shrugged with a sigh.

"I don't really know. I'm just trying not to think about it."

"Which is code for, I need a distraction."

Elowen felt goosebumps erupt on her skin when she realized how close Liv's voice sounded. She felt Liv's hand trail down her arm until it reached her fingers, tugging her to turn around.

"Liv…" Elowen mumbled, but Liv pressed her index finger to her lips.

"Ssh. I'm offering a distraction. Whether or not you take it is up to you."

Liv moved her hand from Elowen's mouth to the nape of her neck, pulled her down and angled her lips towards Elowen's before they met in a soft kiss. A second later, Elowen pulled back.

"Wait-"

"What's there to wait for?" Liv asked in a whisper. "You're single, I'm single, we're old high school flames. How easier can this get?"

Elowen thought this over for a moment.

"Okay, but we're not having sex in this bar."

Liv grinned. "Who said anything about sex? We're just two girls, having a harmless makeout sesh."

Elowen grinned back. "Sounds fine to me."

Liv reconnected their lips and pushed Elowen up onto the table, coming to stand between her legs when Elowen started talking again.

"If memory serves me right, I was the top in our relationship."

"Things change, Elle. Things change."

xxxx

"So, who's gonna tell Elena that Damon killed Aaron?" Elowen asked as Stefan met up with her, Toby, Caroline and Enzo at an abandoned train station. "Not it."

"'Hey Elena, Damon killed Aaron' isn't exactly casual conversation," Toby replied. "And stop acting like the one who breaks the news isn't gonna be me. When it comes to her, it's always me, remember?"

"Yeah, because you're her boyfriend. Duh."

"Or I could just tell her," Enzo spoke up. "Considering I was lying in the road when he stopped his car."

Stefan glanced at Enzo. "So, what's in this for you, aside from getting Damon to undo every positive decision he's ever made?"

"Is it such an anomaly for Damon to have a friend? Well, if so, consider me honored."

"To be fair, it's an anomaly for either Salvatore brother to have a friend," Elowen commented.

"Hey!" Caroline piped up. "I'm Stefan's friend!"

Toby shrugged. "I'm kind of his friend. I dunno. It's still a little awkward, since we both dated Elowen."

Enzo raised an eyebrow. "You dated the witch?"

Toby frowned. "Yes. Why is that hard to believe?"

"Well, she looks like that, and you look like… you. She's a little out of your league, don't you think, mate?"

"Maybe you should try looking in the mirror sometime, and we're not mates. Don't call me that."

They all stopped in the middle of the train station. Caroline huffed.

"Okay, we're here. Where's the antidote?"

All around them, people started to come out of hiding spots and into the empty train station, approaching them until a circle of people was formed. One woman in particular walked up to them.

"Who are you?" Stefan asked.

"I'm Sloan," the woman replied. "And you met some of the travelers when they were taking a bucket of your blood."

"Oh, yeah. How could I forget? So, you have the antidote to the ripper virus, correct?"

"We do, thanks to Enzo."

"I was trapped in that bloody farmhouse with Damon, set to have my head ripped off, when out of nowhere, Wes showed up with the travelers and saved my life on the condition that I owed him one," Enzo explained.

"What does that have to do with us?" Caroline asked.

"He was running low on vampires and he needed one to continue his work, so I let him experiment on me. Among other things, it allowed him to make an antidote."

"When he died, the travelers took it," Sloan continued to elaborate. "And seeing as Elena is valuable to us, we're in the process of using Wes's resources to find a cure for her virus as well."

"Alright, fine," Stefan said. "When will it be done?"

"First, we have to find something."

"Okay. What do you need?"

"Another one of you."

Toby's phone went off at that moment and he looked down at the caller ID, another number he didn't recognize flashing on the screen, and assumed it was Elena. He looked up at everyone else.

"Sorry, I have to take this." He walked off so he could answer the phone. "Hey. Kind of a bad time, Elena. We're close to finding the antidote."

"Oh," came Elena's dejected voice. "Sorry, do you want me to call back?"

Toby glanced over his shoulder. "We can just make this one quick, and I'll call you back, okay? What's up?"

"I just… need a distraction. I just found out I'm deteriorating slowly because there was werewolf venom in my virus and I seem to be hallucinating all of my worst fears. So… that's been fun."

"You want a distraction?"

"Yeah. Tell me, what else have I missed?"

"Okay, um, let's see… Jeremy bought a bunch of new xbox games that are slightly loud and obnoxious, Tyler had a party… Elowen broke up with Damon-"

"Whoa, Elowen broke up with Damon? Not that I don't secretly think she finally came to her senses, but what happened?"

"Apparently, Damon has been slowly killing off everyone in the Whitmore line over the decades, leaving one person alive to make a whole new generation, and then continuing the cycle. He's been doing this behind Elowen's back the whole time they've been together and she was pissed when she found out."

"Wow. Can't say I'm surprised. Oh my god, wait. You said the Whitmore line? Is Aaron okay?"

Toby grimaced and bit his tongue, deciding now was not the time to tell Elena the truth, and quickly changed the subject.

"Oh! I haven't even told you the best part yet. Guess what?"

"What?"

"Caroline and an Original hybrid, sitting in a tree," Toby said in a singsong voice through the phone, garnering a gasp from Elena.

"No!"

"Oh, yes."

"Are you serious? Caroline and Klaus? I mean… do you think this is what Caroline meant earlier? When she said that the bad guy can be good for the right person?"

"No, I don't think so. I think she was mainly talking about Elowen and Damon, but we know how that played out." Toby looked over his shoulder again. "Look, I've really gotta go. The antidote awaits."

"Right. Thanks for just talking to me."

"Of course. I love you."

"Love you, too."

Toby hung up the phone and walked back over to Stefan, Caroline and Elowen.

"What do you mean, there's another one of me out there?" Stefan was asking Sloan when Toby returned.

Elowen shrugged. "I mean, it makes sense, doesn't it? Your father had a third son who continued the Salvatore bloodline, right? It's just like with Elena, except it's you instead of her. Tessa even said that you weren't the first Silas doppelganger when she was here wreaking havoc, so why wouldn't there be one after you?"

"Anyone ever tell you that you're the smart one?" Enzo asked.

Elowen shrugged. "Occasionally."

Enzo nodded at Sloan. "I've been stuck with them for the last few weeks and I've picked up on a few things, like how the last remaining part of doppelgangers are special."

Caroline frowned. "Special? How?"

"None of your business," Sloan snapped.

"You'll have to excuse Sloan," Enzo said. "She's under a bit of stress. The leader of the travelers, Marcus, was it?"

"Markos," Sloan corrected.

"Markos, see, wants the blood from the last remaining pair of doppelgangers, i.e, you and Elena."

Caroline shook her head. "Why?"

"They're special."

"Special how?" Stefan asked.

"Don't think I didn't ask," Enzo replied. "I can witness that the travelers are very secretive, but what we do know is that until the last doppelgangers are out of the picture, your blood, when mixed with Elena's, doesn't do squat."

Elowen shrugged. "Okay, then, so we find this guy and kill him. Sounds simple enough."

Enzo smirked. "You know, I'm starting to see why Damon liked you."

Elowen rolled her eyes. "In your dreams, Enzo."

"Well, it was worth a shot."

"In order to find him, we need to link you two," Sloan explained to Stefan.

"The last time a witch linked me to my doppelganger, she fried my brain and I lost my memory," Stefan deadpanned.

"Mm, yeah, I'd rather avoid that this time around," Elowen piped up.

Sloan shrugged. "Then we better be careful."

xxxx

Later on, Toby's phone rang again and he saw that it was the same number that called him before. He walked off to a more quiet area and answered the call.

"Hey, Elena, we've almost got the-"

"I don't know what's happening to me, Toby," Elena's hurried voice cut in through the line.

Toby paused, gaining his bearings so he could start calming Elena down.

"Elena, hey, you're sick, remember? You should try to relax."

"I feel like no one's telling me the truth, Toby! I can't tell what's real anymore."

"Look, I'll be there really soon, okay? I've practically got the antidote in my hands."

"I did it, didn't I? I killed him."

"What? Killed who?"

"Aaron! That's what you're so afraid to tell me! It's why you dodged my question earlier! I killed him!"

"Listen to me, Elena, I will tell you everything, but right now is not the time."

"Now is not the time? Toby, I'm dying! I almost turned a student today, who Katherine had apparently befriended, just so that I could feed on him! When would be a good time, huh?!"

At the sound of Elena's angry and frenzied tone, Toby felt himself become alarmed. He quickly tried to do damage control.

"Elena! Elena, calm down. Listen to my voice, okay? Just listen to me. I will be there any minute now with the antidote to cure you, and then once you're better, I will tell you everything."

"Nuh-uh. No, no, no, no! You're lying to me, Toby. You're lying!" Elena screamed into the phone.

"Elena, calm down! Please!"

"Why is everyone lying to me? Why are you lying to me? Why is everyone lying to me?!"

Before Toby could respond, the line went dead. Panic filled Toby as he brought the phone away from his ear.

"No, no, no," he mumbled, trying to call the number back, but it went straight to voicemail. He quickly ran back over to Elowen and grabbed her shoulder to turn her towards him.

"I need to get back to Elena," he said in a rush. "Something's wrong. I think she might hurt herself. Elle, she's totally unravelling!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Elowen put her hands up. "Okay, calm down. Breathe first."

Toby nodded and took a deep breath as Elowen pulled out her car keys. She held them out to Toby.

"Here, take my car and go, okay? Go check on her and make sure she's okay, just don't cross the border. And be careful."

Toby nodded and took the keys from her. "Okay. Thank you."

Elowen nodded as Toby turned and took off to where Elowen parked her car. She watched him go before exhaling and turning back around in order to catch up to Stefan and Caroline.

"Look, I know there's a lot of them, but between you, me, Enzo and Elowen, I bet we can take em," Caroline was saying to Stefan.

"Did you really just say that?" Stefan asked with a grin.

"Ugh. Sorry. I'm desperate."

"It'll be fine."

Elowen appeared next to Caroline and glanced at Stefan.

"Oh, yeah. It'll be fine and dandy until you lose your memory again."

"Well, if I lose my memory, then I won't remember I had anything to worry about in the first place. See? Win/win."

Caroline and Elowen both shot him identical looks before Elowen opened her mouth again.

"Who volunteers themselves for witchy electroshock therapy?"

"Me." He paused. "And I would do it for you, too," he added quietly. "Look, let's just say that they do fry my brain."

"I'll kill them," Caroline piped up.

Stefan nodded. "Right, and Elowen will help, and then you'll spiral out of control about killing them while Elowen brings you back down to earth, and then, do me a favor. Remind me that we were friends."

They all approached Sloan. She gestured towards a chair.

"That's for you," she told Stefan. "Sit."

"Where are the antidotes?" Stefan asked instead of doing what she said.

"You'll get it when we're done."

Stefan shook his head. "No. You'll hand them over right now. I'm here. I'm doing everything you want me to."

"I'll take them," Enzo spoke up. "I'll make sure the appropriate parties get them."

A traveler came up behind Enzo and handed him the antidotes. He turned towards Elowen.

"If you don't trust me, you're welcome to join, gorgeous."

A second Elowen appeared next to Enzo and he looked over in surprise.

"You can make duplicates of yourself?" He asked. "That must make things interesting in the bedroom."

"Flirt with me one more time and I'll punch your teeth in."

Enzo threw his hands up. "You got it, dollface. Shall we?"

Something dawned on Elowen. "Oh. Toby took my car."

Enzo turned around. "Just hop on. I promise I won't drop you."

Elowen's double sighed, but jumped up and onto Enzo's back anyway. Once she was securely in his arms, Enzo sped off and disappeared from sight.
