Night fell and morning rose in Station Square. Most of the group managed to get a sound sleep in as they were beyond exhausted due to the events from the day before, though the depressing mood remained as the deaths of Kammy and Kazooie still lingered in everyone's minds.

Mario walked out into the hallway and spotted Wendy, Larry, and Lemmy walking out of a room.

"Hey! What are you guys doing up here? I thought your room was on the floor below us?" Mario asked.

"We tried a few times to get into the room, but dad wouldn't open the door at all. We eventually gave up and had Sally give us a key to another room," Bowser Jr. explained.

"Yeah, we figured it'd be best to not force dad to let us in. He's taking this the hardest out of all of us, but I completely understand why…" Larry added.

"I understand it too. Bowser loved Kammy like she was family. Were you guys able to sleep at all at least?" Mario wondered.

"We only got a few hours in. The three of us just couldn't stop talking about dad and Kammy and Kazooie and…pretty much everything else that's going wrong in this adventure right now," Wendy said, shaking her head.

"We're hanging in there, though. We're…trying our best…" Larry looked like he was about to cry. He paused for a few seconds, staring at the ground. "Uhh, we're gonna go try to get dad now so we all can get out of here. See you in a while."

The three koopalings walked off. Mario felt so bad for them, having to deal with a loss of a family member. He really wished he could make it all better for them somehow because they don't deserve what had happened to them.

Mario then walked a couple doors down and knocked on a door. The door opened to show Daisy standing there.

"Hey you. Sleep good?" Daisy asked.

"Kind of. You?" Mario replied.

"About the same. Um, I'm gonna assume you're here to talk to Peach alone?" Daisy asked.

"Yeah…if you don't mind. I really wanna talk things out with her before we leave," Mario said.

"Hmm. Funny you say that cause I wanted to do the same with Luigi too. Is he still in your room?" she asked.

"Yeah. Go on. We'll be in the lobby after we're done here," Mario stated.

"Okay. Oh, and just so you know, Mario…I don't think she's mad at you anymore. She really wants to talk with you too, especially after what happened yesterday before we left," Daisy informed, which made Mario feel a little better.

"I heard about what happened. I'm not here to get on her case about that, I just wanna clear the air and just be back to normal with my one love," Mario smiled a little which made Daisy feel happy for him.

"Good to hear. Alright, I'll see you later then!" Daisy then went into the hallway going to Luigi's room, the two basically trading places.

Mario went inside and shut the door. He walked forward and saw Peach looking in the mirror, running her hands through her hair. She saw Mario in the mirror and gasped in surprise.

"Oh! Mario…good morning," she nervously spoke.

"Good morning. How did you sleep?" he asked.

"I've had better sleeps…" she said, turning around, and began getting teary eyed. "I'm such an idiot, Mario…no one trusts me anymore…"

"Because of what happened yesterday morning, right? I know about it," Mario said as he gently held both her hands. Peach sobbed a little.

"D-Do you think Jojora will ever forgive me? Do you think any of them will?" she asked.

"Hard to say. Look, Peach, I'm not gonna act all high and mighty and scold you for what you did because I screwed up just as badly. I really am sorry for lying to you. I don't know what the hell I was thinking! We're in a relationship, we love each other, we're not supposed to keep things from each other. That's how it's supposed to be, and I'm sorry I ruined that for you," Mario apologized so sincerely that it made Peach more emotional. She gave him a hug and gave a big exhale.

"It's okay. I forgive you. More than anything, I just want us to be okay and get through the rest of this crazy mission with as little drama as possible!" Peach stated.

"I agree, but…seeing everything that's happened ever since we got here…it feels like drama would be inevitable no matter what," Mario sighed. Peach kissed him and he kissed back. Things at that moment felt okay for once in what seemed like a long time.

Daisy approached the door that led to Luigi's room. She was about to knock on it till she noticed the door open and out came Luigi.

"Oh! Daisy! Hi. Everything okay? You look worried," Luigi noticed.

"It's mostly okay. I just really wanted to apologize to you about what I said yesterday, about how lying runs in your guys' family. I got heated in that moment from Mario lying and I took it out on you. I'm so sorry, Luigi…" Daisy sighed, feeling horrible and dumb for that comment.

Luigi touched Daisy's shoulders and kissed her. It took her by surprise but it felt nice.

Luigi broke away and looked at her sweetly. "It was harsh, yeah, but of course I forgive you. Besides, I just don't have the energy to be mad or even argue now. I just wanna go back to our world already…I'm sick of it here."

The koopaling trio made it down to their dad's door and Wendy knocked on it.

"DAD! It's us! You need to come out, we're getting ready to go!" she yelled.

They waited a minute for a response but none came. They all sighed in disappointment.

"Here we go again…DAD! I know you're going through the worst pain ever. Believe us, we are too! But, you can't keep hiding yourself away and locking us out. We need you! Please listen to us!" Larry pleaded.

"Yeah! We have to overcome this together as a family, just like what happened with Wendy's rape, remember? Please dad…don't do this…please…" Bowser Jr. sniffled.

Suddenly, the unlocking of the door was heard which made the three jump in surprise. The door opened to reveal Bowser, looking completely fine, which made the whole situation that much more bizarre.

"D-Dad? Did you sleep okay?" Larry asked worriedly.

"I slept fine. I'm ready to get out of here. Let's go," Bowser stated and shut the door.

"Uhh, wait! We don't have to go just yet! Dad, it's obvious we need to work all this crap out because we can't just push Kammy aside like this!" Wendy yelled.

"There's nothing to work out. Everything that's happened has happened. She's gone. We have to live with it forever," Bowser stated yet again. The three were confused and worried about his lack of emotion.

Tails ran into the group. "There you guys are! So, I just wanted to let you all know that I'll be taking the bodies with me in my Tornado airplane to the Mystic Ruins so you guys can take them back to your world. It would be extremely awkward to have you guys carry them with you on the train for, well, obvious reasons. My friends will help me get the bodies from the basement so I'll see you guys there. Wow. You know what…I never thought I'd ever deal with a dead body like this. This still feels so unreal to me…"

"Unreal? Not for me. For me…it feels like it's always like this…" Bowser responded to Tails with a hint of dread and depression in his tone that his kids took notice of.

Everyone began to gather in the lobby, prepping to leave.

"Hey," Diddy spoke, walking up to Dixie. She was surprised by him suddenly speaking to her.

"Oh! Diddy…hey. How are you?" she nervously asked.

"Been better. WAY better. Look, I think it's time I quit trying to ignore and avoid you, and just let it all out. I'm still hurt by what you did and I can't forget it no matter how much I want to. Seeing you and seeing Fire Bro…knowing what you guys did…it honestly makes my stomach turn. It bothers me to the point where I just can't properly focus on anything!" Diddy exclaimed. Dixie was saddened by his words but understood his pain.

"I get it. I really am sorry, Diddy…I took things way too far with him. I can't lie though, Diddy, I DID develop genuine feelings for Fire Bro. Obviously, it wasn't love but…something was there. But, that's not an excuse. When we officially got into a relationship, we made a promise to remain monogamous, and I broke that promise. And now…" Dixie stopped herself, feeling like she was going to cry. "…now I lost my boyfriend…and Toadette…all because I was being a selfish bitch…"

"I know you're sorry, Dixie. I know when you're being genuine, and this is one of those times. But…I have to ask you…do you want to be with me, and ONLY me? And be honest!" Diddy said.

Dixie nodded as she wiped her tears away with her hands. "I do. I do! We have so much history together and I just can't imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else but you."

Diddy gave a tiny hint of a smile. "I see…"

"But…do YOU want to be with me, Diddy? If you don't…I understand…I just wanna know the truth," Dixie said.

Diddy gave a heavy sigh. He didn't like dealing with that hard of a question but it had to be dealt with eventually. "The truth is…not right now. We're so focused on saving the world and just trying to survive that I just can't distract myself with trying to piece ourselves back together into a relationship again. I just don't have the will or energy to deal with that. However, after this is all done and over, we can talk about the possibility of working through things. But, until then…I just need to be by myself. I'm sorry, Dixie."

His answer crushed her heart but she understood where he was coming from. She did her best to hold back her tears.

"O…Ok…th-thanks for being honest…" she lowered her head as to not let him see her watery eyes. Diddy gave a sympathetic smile and walked away, unbeknownst to Dixie that he was also trying incredibly hard to hold back his tears.

Toad noticed Toadette sitting on one of the couches all by herself. She slowly approached her and got a little nervous.

"Hey you. How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Tired. So many things were bothering me in my mind…Kammy, Kazooie, my fight with Dixie, the fact that the world has to be so messed up…it's so hard to believe that this is the reality all of us are living in," Toadette said, not even looking at her brother.

"Yeah, I think about it constantly too. It's not fair, but it's what we have to live with. But, you have to remember Toadette! We went on this adventure to be the heroes that so many people couldn't be. At least we're trying to make a difference, right?" Toad tried to cheer her up.

"But, what's the point in trying if your friends just keep dying around you? We save the world, but it's not gonna bring them back…" Toadette still wasn't looking at her brother. Toad was taken back by how depressed and miserable Toadette had become. He had no idea what to say at that point.

Finally, Toadette slowly looked to him, and he looked at her.

"I'm sorry I've been so moody lately…I guess I really AM depressed, aren't I?" she said. Toad sat down next to her and gave her a hug.

"It's okay, sis. I promise you that it's all gonna be okay. Just swear to me that you will still try to keep fighting with us?" he asked.

"I…I swear I'll try to keep fighting."

Koops, Vivian, and Goombario approached Goombella, who was still looking badly bruised.

"Goombella? Hey. You doing okay? I overheard your, uhh, argument with DK yesterday after we got back…" Koops spoke.

"I'd really rather not talk about that right now. All that matters is that the big bad is dead and we're getting out of this hellhole," Goombella angrily stated.

"You look very tired, Goombella! You didn't get any sleep last night, I take it?" Vivian asked.

"No DUH I didn't get any sleep! How the hell could I with what they did to me!? You really think I can just forget about all that easily and go on with my life!?" Goombella raised her voice. Vivian was startled at her attitude.

"I-I'm sorry! I just…don't really know how I can help in this situation…" Vivian frowned and looked down in embarrassment.

"There's nothing you can do to take it all away. Don't bother trying to help because this is going to remain in my head for the rest of my life. What they did…UGGGGGHHHH! I thought I was on the brink of death for a second there! Believe me when I say that I wouldn't wish what they did to me on ANYONE…" Goombella vented, sending chills down the other's spines.

"We get that you're angry. But, we're still your friends, Goombella. Please don't shut us out because of what happened. If you wanna vent as much as possible, we're totally here to be your outlet!" Goombario said in support.

"Um, isn't that going a little too far though?" Koops questioned.

"…Okay, maybe 'outlet' isn't the correct word here to use, but you know what I mean, right? Right!?" Goombario said.

Goombella huffed through her nose and shook her head. "It won't help. Me venting over and over isn't going to erase the replaying of those horrible memories. I just have to focus entirely on other things."

"Well, of course it's not going to erase the memories, Goombella! No one can ever forget something so violent and tragic! But, I don't think pushing it away is the right answer here either," Vivian said.

"Gee, didn't realize there was a right answer to recovering from trauma. That helps a lot," Goombella sarcastically said.

"You're right, there isn't a right answer! If you think focusing on other things is your solution, then we just have to deal with that. Right guys?" Goombario asked to the other pair. The koopa and shadow siren gave him worried looks but nodded their heads anyways because they didn't want to end getting into a heated argument.

"I'm so glad we're out of here now. Ever since we got here, it's been nothing but chaos for all of us basically. I really do hope we can take another day break when we get back because I'm not exactly sure all of us are going to be comfortable jumping right back in to the mission," Rosalina said.

"I agree. Some of us are still hurt and recovering from all the crazy shit that we went through here. It would honestly be an insane idea to go to the next world immediately after we get back," Waluigi added.

"Yeah…one day away from the mission isn't going to be enough. I hope Mario feels the same…" Rosalina said.

"Rosalina, I have to ask you about Wario. I think he's hiding something. Last night, before we went to bed, I asked him exactly what they did to him while he was imprisoned. He seemed unharmed, unlike Goombella who looks like she got hit by a bus! But, he just changed the subject and insisted that we go to sleep," Waluigi noted.

"Perhaps he went through something just as traumatic as Goombella did, or moreso, and he doesn't want to open up right now. Give him time, I think he will, it won't do him any good if you try to push him to come out with it," Rosalina suggested.

"I know that. But…just look at him. He's standing in the corner, completely isolated from everyone else, and he looks worried about something! That's just so unlike Wario. They did something to him, and I NEED to find out what it is or else I'm gonna end up going crazy over it," Waluigi pointed to his brother in total concern, who was very much deep in thought.

"Don't! Just breathe, Waluigi. He WILL tell you. You can't force this kind of stuff," Rosalina calmed him down.

As the Koopalings and Bowser came down to the lobby, Pauline called out for Wendy.

"Hey! Can I talk to you privately real quick?" she asked. Wendy gave her a look of confusion, definitely not expecting Pauline of all people to want to talk to her.

"Uhh, okay? What is this about?" Wendy asked as the two went to the pool area.

"How are you doing with…you know…Kammy and…Shadow?" Pauline asked in hesitation, which confused Wendy even more.

"Um, well, with Kammy, we're doing our hardest to keep it together, but…it feels like we're not at the same time….and with Shadow…well, what do you mean by Shadow exactly?" Wendy asked.

Pauline paused for a minute and twiddled her thumbs. She then sighed.

"Him doing 'that' to you. I know it wasn't actually him that did that, but I imagine it's still traumatic, right? It's not something you get over so quickly…" Pauline said.

Wendy put her hands to her hips and looked more confused than ever now. "Uhh, yeah, I still think about it obviously because it IS traumatic, but I'm working through it. Pauline, what is this about exactly? Why are you being so nice with me after we've been so vicious to each other?"

"I just…ugh, I'm sorry. This is coming out totally awkward. I just wanted to let you know that if you ever needed someone to talk to about what happened with Shadow, I can be a helping hand, if you want…be…because I've been through it before," Pauline admitted. Wendy widened her eyes.

"Wait…y-you've been…raped before?" she asked. Pauline nodded and teared up a little.

"It happened a long time ago. We were at a party some random kids at my high school threw and we went to a private room to go make out. He wanted to 'do it' but I didn't. I didn't want it…but he forced himself upon me," Pauline explained. Tears fell down her cheek as Wendy looked at her in shock. "I kept telling him to get off but he was too strong! H-He held me down and I just…I just took it. There was nothing I could do then. Nothing. I screamed for help but everyone outside the room was in their own world, having fun, dancing, drinking, partying…no one heard me. I stared at the ceiling the rest of the time, praying for it to be over, but it felt like forever. I-I thought he was going to hurt me even worse then because of how aggressive he was, but…thankfully, he didn't. After he was done, he just left me alone there on the bed. I couldn't move or speak because I was in total shock and pain from what he did. No one outside that room knew what was happening and to this day, they never did.

Why? Because I told them what happened, but none of them believed me. I had a reputation for being a total bitch and a boyfriend stealer in high school. The people I usually hang out with didn't believe me. They just thought I was either really drunk that night or just spreading the rumor around for attention, but I wasn't. I wasn't drunk. I KNOW what happened. I confronted that asshole about him raping me, but he denied it like it never happened. Like it was all a part of my imagination. I told my parents, but they didn't believe me either. They also thought I was just trying to cause drama. I just…I couldn't believe it. H-How could no one believe me? I cried for a whole week straight and shut myself in my room. I've never felt so lonely in my entire life…you're the first person I've told since then. That's why I wanted to let you know that you have me to talk to if you wanna vent about anything related to that, Wendy."

The koopaling still stood there in shock at her tragic story. She never thought for a second that Pauline went through so much hell.

"Oh my god…Pauline, I'm so sorry you had to go through that! Th-that's horrible! I can't believe your parents didn't even believe you!" Wendy cried.

"They were horrible to me. All they ever did was either throw money at me whenever a problem arose or told me to get over it. All they ever cared about was themselves and I'm just so glad they're out of my life," Pauline clarified.

"Wow…I'm sorry again, Pauline. If you wanna vent about anything from your life, I'm willing to listen as well! You sound like you need to get a whole lot off of your chest!" Wendy pointed out.

Pauline nodded as she began to cry. "I really do. You're so lucky you have such a close family that loves and supports you!"

Wendy brought in Pauline for a hug and Pauline hugged back as Wendy cried a little too. Wendy never thought she would connect with someone like Pauline, but she did, and it actually felt nice to relate to her on that level.

"GUYS, GUYS, GUYS!" Charmy yelled as he zoomed into the lobby. He grabbed everyone's attention immediately.

"What what what!?" Kooper exclaimed.

"You'll never guess what I found on the beach! It's the emerald gem!" Charmy showed the mystical item to the group. Everyone dropped their jaws in shock but also excitement.

"WHAT!? Wait a second here, you just…FOUND it on the beach!?" Mona questioned.

"Yeah! I was going for a stroll along the beach when I just happened to find the gem washed up on the shore! This IS what you're looking for, isn't it!?" Charmy explained.

"It is! That's the same gem I had on me when I was bringing it here a couple nights ago before that stranger attacked me!" Tails added as Charmy handed Mario the gem.

"Wow! Okay then! So, that worked out pretty well in our favor then. But…does that mean that the person who knocked out Tails and stole the gem threw it in the ocean? I mean, how else would it have gotten there?" Birdo questioned.

"Does it really matter? We got the gem, the one thing we came in this world for, so our mission here is accomplished," Koopie said.

"Hmm…I don't know. It seems TOO easy if you ask me!" Luigi was skeptical at the pure coincidence of the gem being washed up on the shore.

"That is definitely the gem, I feel its energy radiating quite powerfully!" Rosalina clarified.

"The powers that be clearly wanted you all to have this right after Vesper was defeated. I don't see this as a coincidence at all! This gem has an otherworldly energy I've never felt before," Tikal said.

"Hmm…I honestly think you might be right," Mario said and smiled a little as he stared at the gem in his hand.

"So, looks like you're all here! Alright, let's get going. We'll come too and see you guys off at the Mystic Ruins!" Sonic said. The gang then began to head out.

"Banjo, sweetie! How are you holding up after, uhh, you know…" Flurrie asked.

Banjo looked at her for a few seconds then looked to the ground.

"…Is 'I don't know' a good answer?" Banjo asked.

"Well, I certainly don't know about categorizing that into 'good' or 'bad' but, it's an understandable answer. We're all here for you for support, dearie. Anything you need, we'll do it," Flurrie said, putting a hand on his shoulder. Banjo shook his head a little and sniffled.

"All of you? You so sure about that?" Banjo asked.

"What do you mean?" Flurrie replied confusedly.

Banjo finally looked at her with watery eyes. Flurrie could tell he so badly wanted to say something but couldn't for some reason.

"…Nevermind. Just forget it. I'm talking nonsense," Banjo brushed her hand off his shoulder and walked further ahead.

Everyone got on the train, thanking the stars that they were going back to their own world. It had been nothing but chaos right from the start and they all needed another break badly.

They arrived at the Mystic Ruins with the Sonic characters as Tails flew down in his Tornado, carrying the bodies of Kazooie and Kammy in the back. Everyone headed towards the arwings as Bowser and Banjo got their beloved, and said their goodbyes to the Sonic characters.

"I'm sorry we have to part on such chaotic terms, but we are really grateful to have you guys save our world. It means so much to us," Sonic said and his friends nodded happily in agreement.

"Of course. We were glad to help you guys. Unfortunately, the circumstances that came from it couldn't be helped but…well…we'll try our best to get through it still," Mario said.

"Yeah. Again, I'm so sorry about your friends. I completely understand wanting them buried in your own world. I also understand that you guys need to leave now cause you still gotta save your own world!" Sonic pointed out.

"Thanks, Sonic. It was great seeing you again despite everything happening. All of you!" Mario thanked everyone and shook Sonic's hand.

"You too! And hey, once you save your world, and I know you will, we should celebrate with the biggest party the world has ever seen. Heroes always prevail in the end!" Sonic stated. Mario smiled and nodded to that. Everyone said their goodbyes and then off they went back to their own world finally.

Grodus entered his old throne room on the moon base. Memories flooded back from when he commanded almost every single event just from that chair he sat on. He cringed at them. He felt like he was a different person back then compared to now. He almost couldn't even believe that he was the same person who tried to destroy the world.

"You seem to be very deep in thought, Sir Grodus," TEC spoke.

"I am. I'm just thinking of how cruel I was before. How selfish I was. How violent I was. How angry I was. I treated everyone like dirt, like they were just pawns in my game…just like how Tatanga is doing now. I never realized how atrocious and destructive being a villain was until I experienced it on the other side for myself. None of this is right," Grodus said.

"You mustn't attack yourself for past actions, Sir Grodus. I can see you're trying to reform yourself. You have to move on from that," TEC said.

"Shouldn't I, though? I mean…look at me right now, TEC. I have nothing. All my X-Nauts…Lord Crump…the Shadow Sirens…Doopliss…my family…they're all gone. I guess that's the price I have to pay for unleashing such chaos into the world," Grodus sighed.

"You don't have nothing, Sir Grodus. You have me. Despite everything you've done…you still have me," TEC said. Grodus smiled a little.

"Thank you, TEC. You were always the most loyal friend out of everyone I knew."

"You're very welcome. I appreciate that a lot."

Silence occurred for a minute as Grodus still kept taking it all in.

"TEC…I want you to know that…this plan I have, to crash the moon base into Tatanga's island…it's not because I want you to go away forever…it's because I want Tatanga to. This is the only plan I have that can be successful. I may have some dark magic skills, but it won't be enough to destroy him."

"I understand that, Grodus. I've been alone in this base for years now until your arrival. I would be content if I were to vanish into nothingness as long as it helps save the world."

"Really? You'd…actually be okay with that?" Grodus asked in surprise.

"Yes. I have no fear of 'not existing' anymore. I technically haven't 'existed' all these years spent alone in here, so I am unafraid of this matter," TEC responded.

Grodus looked a little sad. If he wanted to keep going with his plan, then it would mean that TEC would be destroyed and he would truly have nothing then.

"TEC…has Peach never visited you since the world was spared of the Shadow Queen?" Grodus asked.

"She visited a couple times after that event, but it's been years since her last arrival. I am not mad about it. Surely, life got in the way and kept her distracted," TEC answered.

"I see. Well…I'll try my best to get her back up here to see you one last time before you go, TEC. That's a promise," Grodus stated.

"How…kind of you…" TEC spoke with just the tiniest bit of emotional inflection added.

More silence occurred after that. Grodus sighed again and exited the room.

"X-Naut Fortress detraction from moon surface is currently underway…" TEC said.

Roy walked into Tatanga's room with a glass of water and the Genso pill bottle. He shut the door and made a worried expression when he saw that it didn't have a lock on it. What he was about to do, he had to do it fast, but even he wasn't sure if he actually wanted to do it.

"Fuck. What am I doing? If I do this to him then someone will find out…and I'll definitely be killed. But, if I don't do it…ugh…why did I ever decide to join these guys?" Roy talked to himself quietly and rolled his eyes. The inner conflict he was struggling with fucked with his mind and emotions; being in a new environment, he still felt like he wasn't a part of anything substantial. It was the exact same empty feeling he had when he was dealing with his family.

"…Nevermind. This was a stupid idea. I don't know what the hell I'm doing…" Roy said and then opened the door to exit. He almost screamed when he saw Dimentio standing right there.

"What are you doing in here?" the jester asked.

"Oh! Um…uhh…" Roy became nervous. He had no idea what to say to him that would come off as a perfect excuse.

"Why do you have those pills and a water? Isn't Tatanga supposed to stay away from those pills!?" Dimentio became suspicious of him very quickly.

"I…um…I was gonna take the pills myself because I get tired easily and…uhh…" Roy stumbled upon his words. Dimentio made a dirty glare at him.

"Come with me NOW," Dimentio demanded and tugged on Roy's arm, dragging him out of there and made him drop the glass of water and pill bottle. Roy became terrified now. He knew Dimentio suspected him of doing something shady and now he had to pay the price for it.

Dimentio dragged him to some area of the fortress that he was completely unfamiliar with. Roy himself hadn't actually explored much of the fortress since he got there but he was taken back by how maze-like it was with all the hallways him and Dimentio were turning and going through. They eventually stopped at a black door and Dimentio pushed Roy to the floor.

"Do you know what's inside there, Roy?" Dimentio tauntingly asked.

"N…no…" Roy uttered, still terrified of his potential punishment.

"Do you have a guess of what's inside there, Roy?" he asked.

Roy shook his head, not even wanting to imagine what could be behind that door.

"Tatanga seems to be a fan of quick punishments from what I've witnessed. Stuff like 'vanishing acts' and blasting people into mere dust. Straight to the point like hitting a target right in its center. But me…I'm different. Many moons ago, I was against using the harshest type of violence. But, now…I just don't care anymore. When people deserve punishment, I like to give it to them slow and gradual. That's what is lying behind this door. Slow and severe punishment. I'm giving you this ONE warning, my little koopa. You try ANYTHING suspicious around here and I'll fling your bottom into that hell room so fast your head will spin off and shatter like a china doll! Understand!?" Dimentio stated. Roy nodded quickly.

"I…I understand…I'm sorry…I don't know what I'm doing…" he whispered.

"How do you not know what you're doing!? You killed a person to join our team, you dimwit! If that isn't dedication to be a villain, then I guess I don't know what is. Looks like you need to figure yourself out here, kiddo. Ciao!" Dimentio said and left the area. Roy stood up and looked back at the black door. Maybe Dimentio was right. Maybe he did need to figure himself out, because right now, he didn't know who was he anymore or what he wanted.

"Roy!" yelled a familiar voice. He turned back around and saw Beldam.

"Oh! Beldam…" Roy yelped.

"Were you trying to do something to Tatanga?" she asked.

"No! I…I mean, yes. I'm sorry. I was being stupid a-and…I just need to be alone…" Roy cried and quickly walked off. Beldam opened her mouth to say something but then stopped herself. She slowly looked to the black door and looked very concerned.

EOC.

Hard to believe it's been exactly 5 years since I've submitted this story! A big thanks to everyone who's been following it since then and, of course, to everyone else who's a more recent follower. Next chapter will focus on everyone back at the hospital and a new character will be introduced. A character 'loses it' and will try to kill another character, while a different character will make a very rash, risky, and impulsive decision that will put their life at risk. The next chapter will be submitted on April 27, 2018. Once the school semester for me is done, which will be late May, I'll start doing sets of weekly updates again. See you guys next time!
