Disclaimers!
I do not own the Harry Potter universe unfortunately. That honor belongs to the amazing J.K. Rowling. All I own is the plot and main character.
This may be a bit AU pertaining to Ilvermorny, and with some of the story.
I am American, so I apologize about my accents and words. I will try my hardest to research the British phrasing and wording, but I apologize in advance for mistakes.

Chapter 1
Snape's POV
"Dumbledore! We need to discuss something! It's an emergency!" Severus Snape yelled through the door to Dumbledore's office. Dumbledore opened the door.
"Can it not wait? As you can see, I am a bit occupied." He said as he gestured inside his office, in which Snape saw Potter, Weasley, Granger, and Malfoy.
"What are they doing here?" Snape asked.
"Well, that is my own business. What is so urgent you almost knocked down my door?"
"I found a letter."
"From her?" Snape nodded. "All right. Give me one moment." He walked back into the office. "I will be back. Just sit tight for a moment, and please don't kill each other." Dumbledore told the teens with a twinkle in his eye.
Earlier that afternoon,
"10 points from Gryffindor for being late!" Professor Snape barked at the Golden Trio, Potter, Weasley, and Granger.
"But Professor! Half the class is still missing!" Harry Potter protested.
"10 more points for talking back Mr. Potter. Now sit down or it will be more." Snape gave Potter and evil grin. "Now, where were we, ahh yes. The Befuddlement draught." And class went on. When the bell rang, all three Gryffindors gave Snape glares and exited the classroom. Snape left for his office. He hated Potter. He reminded him of James Potter, whom he hated, but also of Lily Evans, whom he loved. He was torn between love and hate. He hated James because he had ended up with Lily and he, Severus, was forgotten. Those stupid eyes, he thought. Why did he have to have Lily's eyes? I still have her letter. Where is it? Aha, here it is. Should I read it? Yes. I will finally read it. He opened the letter and read it. "What?!" he was so surprised he said aloud. "I must show this to Dumbledore!"
Hermione's POV
Back to the present,
"Alright, show me the letter." Dumbledore told Snape.
"Guys, we shouldn't be listening! Whatever they are saying, they clearly didn't want us to hear!"
"That's exactly why we should listen!" Harry and Malfoy said at the same time, then glared at each other. Hermione repressed a laugh.
"Oh my. Well, this is a predicament." They heard Dumbledore say outside the door.
"That's a bit of an understatement! I have a daughter Dumbledore!" They all looked at one another, shocked.
"Yes. Why didn't you read this sooner?"
"I was afraid of what it said! I'm still not over her! I was not ready."
"What could it have said? You weren't expecting this, were you?"
"Of course not! I don't know what I was expecting, but not this. What do I do now?"
"You find her, of course!"
"Won't that affect my mission?"
"Yes, but family is more important! If you don't go, you leave this poor girl orphaned! Don't you want to find her?" Dumbledore asked.
"Yes! I'm afraid of what she will say. Besides, she is 17 now, what if it's too late?"
"It's never too late for girl to find her parents. Its just too bad she won't ever know her mother. But she does have a brother now."
"Half-brother." Snape corrected quickly.
"You know what this means, right? You will have to be at least civil to him now."
"Yes. I know." He sighed.
"Well, I will send the students on their way, and we can floo to Ilvermorny right away."
"Thank you. This means much to me."
"Of course, Severus. I always hoped you would find love. Granted, this is not what I had imagined, but it will do." Dumbledore opened the door to find everyone standing around waiting. "Good, you have not killed each other yet. Alas, I have some urgent matters to attend to, I must send you back to your dormitories. Goodnight." He said with a finality in his tone that they all left quickly.
Snape's POV
"Ready?" Dumbledore asked.
"As ready as I ever will be."
"Then let's be off." And he threw the floo powder in the fireplace and shouted "Ilvermorny Headmistress's office!" They stepped out into an office much like the president of a school's office would look like.
"Professor Dumbledore! How lovely to see you! Do what do I owe the honor?" a voice said to their left.
"Hello Professor Lightner. Good to see you as well. This is Professor Snape, my potions master."
"Nice to meet you." Replied Snape.
"You as well."
"We have just uncovered some information on one of your students. Do you have a seventh-year student by the name of Mckenna Jones?"
"Yes, she is possibly the most famous seventh-year in the castle. Is something wrong?" she asked as she examined a book.
"Quite the contrary! It seems that we have found her biological father, our very own Professor Severus Snape."
"Well, that is great! She has been searching for years with no luck. She has been in an orphanage in California since her tenth birthday. She has had a rough life. She was in several group homes and foster homes and ran away from most and got transferred from others. She is however, a very strong, independent young woman."
"Would it be alright if we transferred her to Hogwarts?"
"I don't see why not. I trust our curriculum is still somewhat similar?"
"Yes. However, we have not expanded muggle studies, as I know you were planning to do. And is she in any important roles? Such as prefect or Head girl?"
"No. She is too much of a trouble-maker for either of those rules. And remember, we have two prefects in fifth, sixth, and seventh year each house as well as a head from each house. And yes, we did expand our muggle studies. We have added muggle math and science as well as music and language curriculums. However, knowing her, she will be more than happy to drop all of those except for music."
"Can we meet her?" Snape asked.
"I'm afraid you have forgotten about the time difference. It is a five-hour difference and is currently three in the morning. I had some urgent business to attend to and just came in a few minutes before you."
"You are right. I am so sorry for intruding at such an early hour."
"It's no problem. How about you come back at 3pm your time, 10am ours, and she will be ready to go. I will explain everything to her tomorrow morning."
"Thank you so much Professor Lightner. We appreciate it greatly."
"You're welcome. And please, it's Stacy."
"Alright, Stacy. And please call me Albus."
"Okay. See you tomorrow Albus." And with that, he threw some floo powder into the fireplace and yelled "My office, Hogwarts!" and he and Snape stepped in.
