It finally settled in Damian's brain how screwed he was. He utterly fucked up by confessing to his friends the shared secret between him and Anya.
I BROKE OUR PROMISE!!
His mind has been racing since the confession and his friends have tried to reassure him that they won't say anything until he talks with Anya. But that only makes him feel worse! She never told Becky anything and most likely wanted to but didn't and here he was spilling the beans about them to Ewen and Emile. She most likely will never trust him again!
He fucked up.
Big time.
"I'm sure she'll understand."
"Yeah, Forger is very forgiving, plus it's not like you told the whole school."
He might as well have! He couldn't even look her in the eye.
When she walked in she immediately noticed the tension. She blinked and looked at Damian who looked nervous. Ewen and Emile were fidgeting in their seats looking everywhere but her. She narrowed her eyes. Something was up. And something was up indeed. A quick look into their minds immediately revealed it all. She almost gasped seeing Damian's memory of what had gone down and his immense feelings of regret and guilt. She was essentially being bombarded with his feelings.
Anya looked a little pale. Becky took notice. Grabbing her hand she asked Anya if she was okay but Anya was too busy dealing with the fact that her boyfriend just told his best friends that they were dating. It wasn't a secret relationship if it didn't stay a secret!
You lie to him every day, you've lied since you met him.
No, she doesn't, she's never lied!
Operation Strix, plan B the friendship scheme.
Right…
Well in a way it made sense. They were his best friends. He trusts them. And she's been wanting to spill the beans to Becky anyway, granted that's a gamble since she's not sure if Becky will keep quiet about it.
No point in thinking about that now, she should deal with her guilt-ridden boyfriend. "Damian."
Ewen and Emile made a sound signaling something was about to go down.
"She used his name."
"Boss is in trouble."
Becky rolled her eyes. "Shut it you two!"
Anya was glad someone told them to be quiet. She looked at Damian who was borderline trembling.
Why is she mad? Did I do something wrong aside from telling Ewen and Emile about us?! Unless… no, how would she know- are we just obvious??!!
She held back her giggle. If only he knew. "The teacher isn't here yet and I need to speak with you." Ewen and Emile were being way too obvious that they knew something. If Anya wasn't a mind reader she would have figured it out just by how they looked at Damian almost as if they were rooting for him. In their mind, they were essentially telling him to go. They were under the impression Anya wanted to have a make-out session.
Such a thought made her blush slightly.
Damian blinked and got up. "Sure let's talk outside real quick."
Becky looked at the two questioningly. Anya caught a slight look she gave to the blondes who acted all innocent like. The slight conversation going on between the three impressed Anya.
Once outside Anya crossed her arms and looked at him with a serious expression. She had her back against the wall once again. They were on the other side of the hall and naturally she began to whisper. Either way, she'd know if someone was listening in any way. "I think we should ta-"
"Don't break up with me."
There was a pause as Damian's words were being processed. "What?" She looked at him in utter confusion.
Seeing her confusion made him feel nothing but relief but now he had to do damage control! "Uh… ignore that!"
Anya dropped her serious act. "Sorry I didn't mean to make you think that."
Damian now felt even more guilty. "No! No! It's my fault for assuming." Great, now I made her sad.
She smiled slightly looking around her, noticing they were alone and the teacher was nowhere in sight. She kissed his cheek to reassure him. "It's okay." She held his hands tightly. "I just…" She trailed off. She couldn't exactly tell him she knew. She'd have to reveal her mind-reading abilities.
"Anya-! I- Uh… I have something to tell you." He didn't mean to interrupt his love but he needed to be honest with her before this conversation could continue. "I… I broke our promise… I'm so sorry. I ended up telling Ewen and Emile- they won't say anything though!"
Anya sighed in relief. With Damian confessing, she didn't have to somehow justify how she knew what happened. "I see." She wasn't really mad, she was never mad but she was anxious, nervous even. Plus she had no room to be mad since she's done nothing but be dishonest with him since they were six. "I'm not mad Damian."
"You're not?" He was surprised, to say the least.
Anya shook her head. "No… I, uh… I wanted to talk because-" Shit I don't have an excuse! "Uh…" She began to think but she was coming up empty. She cursed her inability to think of an excuse so quickly like her Papa.
I wonder what Anya is talking about with Damian.
Becky?
…
Becky!!
"I wanted to talk to you because I wanted to tell Becky about us but I wasn't sure how to tell you." Thank god for Becky!
"Oh." Damian felt a wave of relief. "That's great! I mean- I don't feel as bad- I mean…! I'll stop talking." Why am I so bad at talking all of a sudden?
She giggled and kissed him again. "All good, I should have predicted you'd want to tell your friends." Things won't be as complicated if they know. Anya felt a bit of relief if anything despite her nervousness.
"I should have talked to you first."
"It's okay." She kissed him. It was fine, nobody was around.
"Really?"
"Really."
They shared another kiss taking advantage of the solitude they were being gifted at the moment.

Becky wondered what was with the secrecy between her friend and Damian lately. It was like they were keeping something from them- from her. She looked at the two dumb blondes narrowing her eyes as they seemed usually suspicious the moment they walked in. She made eye contact with Ewen who quickly looked away.
"Ewen-"
"No."
"I haven't even said anything!" She hissed at him.
"But I know what you're thinking, Blackbell!" He hissed back.
Emile looked between the two and groaned. "I really am the third wheel of a 5 person group."
"Oh really? What am I thinking?" Becky crossed her arms and looked at him defiantly.
He met her gaze head-on. "You're going to ask about lord Damian and Forger's sudden secrecy."
Becky was impressed, he did know what she was thinking. "Okay fair enough, what do you-"
"I don't know anything!" He said rather quickly to which Emile facepalmed because he was being an open book right now.
Becky raised a brow giving him an 'are you serious right now' look which said more than a thousand words. Ewen didn't want to back down though because he promised he wouldn't say anything. Plus it wasn't his place, he's sure Becky would rather Anya herself tell her what's been going on. Before Becky could say anything more, their friends entered the classroom and sat in their usual seats without saying anything more. Becky was surprised nobody in Cecile Hall seemed to be eating this up or noticed that Anya asked Damian to talk to her out in the hall. She wanted to ask Anya what was up but she had the sneaking suspicion she wouldn't get anything out of her no matter how hard she tried.
Anya, of course, could hear Becky's internal dilemma. She sighed and scooted over, leaning to whisper in her ear. "Damian and I are dating."
"YOU WHAT?!" Becky exclaimed, now all eyes were on her. Becky looked around and covered her mouth before going back to a whisper. "What?!"
Anya smirked slightly. "We're dating." Becky just stared at her with wide eyes before her pupils turned into literal hearts and she started fawning over this revelation. Knowing Becky would likely say something that would help the gossips of Cecile Hall to connect the dots she quickly whispered. "But it's a secret so don't say anything please."
She paused and went dead silent. Even her mind was silent which scared Anya a bit if she were honest as it could only mean one thing.
Becky is mad!
Becky slowly turned to look at Damian who was observing the interaction. He deduced Anya had just told Becky everything. It was like a chill had gone down his spine as soon as he made eye contact with her. She was giving him the death stare. Ewen and Emile recoiled a bit at the intensity and were glad they weren't on the receiving end of it. Damian wanted to defend himself but there was a reason why she wasn't saying anything.
A switch was turned on once the teacher ran inside looking like he'd been through hell and back. He apologized profusely for being late as traffic was in the way due to an accident and he couldn't get through. Class began immediately despite the teacher struggling for air. Anya felt bad.
Textbooks were out and about. Anya was reading hers when the door opened and in came their professor, Mr. Henderson. "Sorry to interrupt- Ms. Forger."
Anya looked up in alarm, her friends following suit. No way she was in trouble, she hadn't done anything to warrant this. "Yes?"
"Come with me, you're needed in the office." He gestured towards the hall. His mind wasn't giving much away just that it was serious.
She got up rather slowly and as she did her entire classroom practically exploded with chatter (in their minds). They all had the same thought that she was in trouble for whatever reason. Before leaving she looked at Becky who looked at her in worry. Her eyes quickly found Damian's, who was just as worried. She couldn't even reassure them because she was out the door heading for the office before she knew it.
The explosion of thoughts went away which she was grateful for as she felt a bit dizzy. She walked side by side with her teacher. "Am I in trouble?" Her voice was low. She wasn't even sure what she did wrong. She hoped it didn't result in a bolt, her family is hanging by a very thin thread as it is.
"You're not in trouble Ms. Forger." He reassured her.
Anya was confused. She's never seen her teacher look nervous. His mind was also oddly quiet while at the same time not. It was too confusing. When they walked in Anya was greeted with the sight of her Mama whose eyes were red and puffy, almost like… she'd been crying…
"Ma-Mama? What's going on?"
"Oh, Anya." She hugged her daughter tightly. "I came to get you."
"Why…?" Her entire body went cold.
"It's Loid, he's in the hospital." He was hurt during one of his missions.
"WHO CARES YOU'RE NOT MY DAD!"
Those harsh words invaded her mind like a plague. A sense of guilt invaded her heart. Tears welled up in her eyes, her entire body was shaking uncontrollably. That was the last thing she said to him. And she didn't even mean it.
The last thing Anya could hear was the sound of her name being called.
-
"Class dismissed."
As the teacher was leaving the bell rang. The students began gathering their things and leaving one by one. The only one that was lingering was Becky. She was for lack of better words, extremely shaky. She didn't know what was up but she had asked Mr. Henderson during lunch what had happened to Anya. The only thing he could say was that she wasn't in trouble and that her mother merely came to pick her up as an emergency came up.
An emergency?!
Since Yor came to pick her up did that mean something happened to Loid? If so Becky could only imagine what Anya was going through. They fought recently and hadn't made up yet. "Oh, my dear Anya must be feeling so guilty!" She wondered if she could figure out what happened if she stopped by their house.
"Forger? What happened to her?" Ewen asked, since Becky was lingering the boys decided to wait for her.
Becky sighed. "Went home early."
"Family emergency or something," Damian added. Becky looked at him in shock. He quickly added. "I also asked."
Well, that made sense. Becky figured, after all- wait-! She slammed her stuff on the desk. They were the last students in the classroom so it was fine. She pointed at him accusingly. "What is this about you dating my dear Anya in SECRET?!" She seethed.
Damian held his hands up. "Woah, you're misinterpreting something here Blackbell."
"What am I misinterpreting here?!" She exclaimed, hands on her hips ready to beat him up for Anya's sake.
"It wasn't me who wanted our relationship to be a secret!"
"AND YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THAT?!"
"YES!"
Becky scoffed at the absolute audacity Damian had to pin the blame on her poor Anya. "Why would Anya want your relationship to be a secret? She's been crushing on you since forever!"
"I- Wait what?" Damian paused but then quickly shook his head. Not the time dammit! "I mean- you know why Blackbell!"
Becky was about to retort when she stopped and thought for a bit. Remembering all her past conversations. The one that stuck was her being worried over her commoner status. She sighed. "I told Anya that wasn't a problem because you're the second son!" She shook her head. Her friend was so worried about nothing.
"What? No! Our social status has nothing to do with that- well actually maybe a little but no it's about…" He trailed off pausing and staring at his friends who looked confused as to why he was. He then looked at Becky. "You know… the thing." He gestured.
"The thing?"
"Yes, the thing."
"What thing?" Emile asked.
"Should we know what this thing is?" Ewen added.
Damian merely waved off their comments. "Don't ask."
Well okay then.
Becky realized what Damian was referring to a few seconds later. "Oh! That thing."
"Seriously enough with the code!" Ewen exclaimed feeling annoyed with the amount of secrecy happening all around him.
Becky stuck her tongue out. "Shush it's not something we can talk about openly."
Damian crossed his arms."Yeah, it's my girlfriend's business."
Fair enough.
"Aww, he called Anya his girlfriend, she's going to love that." Becky cooed.
"Shut it Blackbell!" He blushed deep red.
Emile sighed. "Never thought I would live in a world where I would hear Boss call Forger his girlfriend." It felt weird but it was surprisingly fitting. They've been at odds with each other since the 1st grade. Perhaps it was only natural. He meant it when he said he would accept the relationship. It wasn't some grand secret that his friend liked the pink-haired girl. Dare he say, Damian was infatuated to the point Emile often made bets with Ewen about whether or not Damian would ask her out.
Becky rolled her eyes. "Well if you ask me he's late to the party. He should have asked her out years ago! My poor Anya has loved him for so long and he just kept her waiting." Remembering how this all started with a punch was a funny memory though.
"Excuse me?! I did n-"
"Oh yeah, he was in denial."
"Getting him to admit his feelings for Forger was a tough challenge."
He just stared at his friends in shock. Traitors! "Whatever! I'll call her house later, it seems our date will be delayed."
Becky gasped. "You guys had a date?!"
He nodded sadly. "Yes, our study session was an excuse to have a date without people noticing."
Becky almost fainted from sheer shock. How did she not notice?! Something like that happened in Berlint in Love, season 10 episode 79! AND SHE DIDN'T NOTICE THE SIGNS?!
"So that's what you guys were talking about," Emile said, it all made sense now, and why that conversation seemed rather suspicious.
"I knew they were taking too long for a reason." Had Ewen been thinking straight he probably would have seen the secret relationship coming from a mile away.
"How the hell were you two so slick?!" Becky questioned. Anya was a bad liar. Her lies only ever worked when they were younger because… well… they were young! Nowadays Becky could tell when Anya is lying.
"To be fair it's only been a few days." And yet they were the best few days ever.
"When?"
"When we made up, you left because a teacher was calling you, I caught up to her, we argued and then it just happened." He explained remembering that moment fondly.
"It just happened?" Emile asked curiously.
"Yes, I confessed, and then she confessed and suddenly we were together." He blushed remembering it all started because he stupidly assumed Anya was into his brother.
"Oh, so you did confess? And here I thought you didn't have it in you." Becky giggled, she'll give him points for that.
He rolled his eyes. "Shut it Blackbell."
There was a bit of silence that followed after. They grabbed their things heading out of the class. Becky's ride was most likely waiting for her out the entrance already.
"Check up on Anya and reschedule the date." Becky suddenly said.
"What?" He looked at her in confusion. He was already going to do that!
Becky rolled her eyes as if Damian was so dumb that of course, he wouldn't understand. "Reschedule and tell her to say the study session is at my house."
Damian stopped walking. "Why?!"
Becky was getting impatient. "What do you mean why? It's for more privacy, dummy!"
"How?! You're going to be there!"
"No I'll leave you two in my room and I'll make myself scarce, nobody will notice."
That… sounded like a good idea. But knowing Becky like he knew her. "Are you sure?"
"Positive!" She looked at him annoyed. He had no faith or trust in her at all!
"How about we go over too," Ewen suggested.
"Yeah, that way we keep Blackbell in check." Emile snickered looking at Becky who glared at them both.
"Sure whatever, anything for my dear Anya." She waved her hand dismissively whilst gushing on the inside. Anya's first date! I'll make sure it's a success! However… "Don't do anything weird Desmond!" She pointed at him.
"EXCUSE YOU I'M A GENTLEMAN!"
Another argument ensued.
