When Harry re-entered the world again he found himself in a very familiar position. In his bed with ginny next to him. He stared at her for a moment, she seemed peaceful, almost serene. He couldn't quite believe that she was there. He then took a moment to examine himself and breathed a sigh of relief when he realised he wasn't in any real danger. His arm had a bandage warped but other than that he seemed relatively okay. He was so busy examining himself he almost didn't feel Ginny move. He reacted almost on instinct and grabbed her wrist, the suddenly realised he shouldn't be doing that and let her go. He looked up to Ginny, an almost pleading look in his eye.
"Don't go... please" he begged. Ginny gulped and wiped away a stray tear
"I... we can't do this Harry, you died, you need to be seen by a doctor" Harry wanted to agree with her, he knew a doctor should probably see him. He knew that he had hurt Ginny and he should let her go, to protect her if nothing else. Yet for all that Harry knew and was, he was inherently selfish. So he gave her one last pleading look and patted the bed next to him
"Five minutes?" Ginny sighed and shook her head, wrapping her arms around her waist.
"Fine but only five minutes. We aren't doing what happened last time" Harry blushed as he remembered the last time he was laid in a hospital bed. It seemed so much simpler then.

Ginny hesitantly sat next to him and gingerly lay down
"I'm glad you didn't die" she whispered. Harry hummed in agreement ad began striking her face, he felt Ginny shudder next to him.
"Did we win?" he asked. Ginny hesitated
"Yeah... the death eaters were captured and Voldemort's dead but I don't know if what happened could be called a win Harry." Harry was about to ask her what she meant when the door opened and Dudley walked In, a cigarette in his mouth. He stopped when he realised Harry was up.
"Bout bloody time!" he exclaimed, taking the cigarette out of his mouth. Ginny shot up at his presence. She stalled before scurrying out of the room. Harry stared after her longingly, Dudley scoffed.
"That ship has long since sailed Cuz" Harry stared at him confused. Dudley shrugged
"You left her, lied to her and I believe you died. A bit dramatic by the way. So excuse her if she feels a little pissed. Now If you excuse me-" then before Harry could even have a chance to stop him he screamed for Aunt Petunia and the doctors.

Later that night, after being poked, prodded and cuddled Harry managed to sneak away. He had been sitting at dinner when he noticed that Ginny wasn't there, Fred had mentioned that she liked to roam the gardens at night, so Harry took his leave and followed the lanterns outside.

It was there he found Ginny stood Infront of the pond where they learned to skim rocks many moons ago. He sat down next to her and waited for her to speak, for once it wasn't about him. Ginny didn't say anything at first, choosing to watch the moonlight dance on the water. It wasn't until the water began to ripple that she spoke.
"I never got to tell you I love you, you died with no regard for others. You have up your life because you thought it was what I would have wanted. You didn't even ask, yes I agree I wanted to save the world but not at the cost of you, never at the cost of you" Harry opened his mouth to speak but Ginny cut him off.
"Then you pushed me away, do you know how much that hurt? To think I was doing something wrong? To think you didn't love me. People told me I was stupid to fall in love with a boy that was so broken, to think I could fix you. I didn't think that thought because you didn't need fixing and I was happy to love you, I was happy to set boundaries that you were comfortable with, hell I was happy to never fucking kiss you if it meant that I got to be in your life. Then you threw it all back in my face when you broke my boundaries. We were a team Harry and how am I ever meant to trust you after this?" she asked, tears streaming down her face. Harry felt his heart twist and shatter, he had never seen Ginny look so lost before.
"I... You shouldn't. I broke your trust. I'm sorry" Ginny began crying even louder. Harry wrapped his arms around her as she sobbed, her whole body seeming to shake.
"You died... you died Harry" she cried.
"I know" he whispered. Ginny began pulling away, wiping her face with her cardigan sleeve. Harry watched her bite her lip as if stopping herself from crying again.
"I love you, Ginny... I'm really sorry. I just... I scare myself" he admitted. Ginny nodded and looked into his eyes
"You love me?" she asked, shyly. Harry looked at her flabbergasted
"Did you not read that letter? Ginny... you are my sole reason for living. You give me so much... joy and hope. You scare and entice me and I think if you asked me for the stars and the moon I would defy merlin himself to get them for you." Harry trailed off after realising he was getting too deep but what Ginny said next shocked him.
"I so want to kiss you right now" then she slapped her hand over her mouth, scared at her own voice.
"Oh my god... I am so sorry, I mean mi not because I do want to kiss you but I understand if you don't and-" Ginny was cut off when a soft pair of lips tackled hers. She stilled for a moment before leaning into it, grabbing his shirt and pulling him closer as they both fumbled through their first kiss. When they stopped they both pulled away goofily, their clothes slightly rumpled and their hair slightly tousled. Ginny bit her lip and looked down, making Harry's heart skip a beat.
"Do you think... that maybe?" Harry drifted and Ginny gulped
"I want to be with you Harry but it's not going to be easy. We still have a world to rebuild and I need you to work with me. I understand you not wanting to touch and I'm very willing to keep touching minimal but sometimes I want to hug and maybe kiss you. I need you to trust me, Harry, any major life decisions need to be discussed, you can't just take your life into your own hands, people care about you." Ginny ranted, Harry nodded
"I can do that so long as you can do one thing for me"
"What's that?"
"Please be patient with me, I'm not used to wanting to do that stuff but I want to with you." Ginny agreed and Harry pulled her into his arms, feeling more content than he had done in a while.

Then as he watched the moonlight dance across the water he just knew that everything would be okay.
