Waking up from being violently shaken was Hiccup. The former heir felt like he had been ran over by at least one-hundred raging yaks. Barely seeing because it was hardly lit in the cells, one of two guards had dropped a plate with a whole raw fish on it, which looked like it had just been caught and placed on the silverware to be served to him. "Here you go. A dinner suited for a big, strong chief like yourself," one of the guards taunted him sarcastically before the both of them left him in his locked cell. Once they were gone, he looked at the raw fish.

It reminded him of a day six years ago. It was the second day of dragon training. He returned to the cove with a fish as some sort of peace offering to Toothless. The dark scaled dragon had taken the fish and quickly devoured it. When the dragon wanted more, but realized that the human only brought one, he quickly regurgitates the fish back up in half to share with the small human. Hiccup was forced to take a bite of the fish.

The dragon rider is smiling at the memory of that day. That was the day Hiccup and Toothless started to become best of friends. He knows this is disgusting, but if he did not eat that fish. He may not have the strength and energy to get not only himself out of here, but also the white dragon too. Just when he was going to take an awful bite into the raw fish, he heard a stomach growling and it was not his.

Looking towards the white dragon, Hiccup sees that she was staring at the fish with her sapphire eyes. He could also hear that she was whining. She was starving and to see this human get food and she does not was torture to her. Seeing the abuse that the dragon was enduring was pulling at his heart strings. Standing up, his muscles were aching in pain, but he was ignoring it. Grabbing the fish, Hiccup makes his way towards the dragon. With each step he took felt like his muscles were screaming in agony. As she watches the human limp towards her, she starts to growl as a warning to stay back. Her pupils dilated into slants. "Hey, it's okay. I'm not going to hurt you," Hiccup reassured the dragon in his most calm and soothing tone.

"I'm just going to give you this tasty fish," Hiccup added while lifting up said fish. Seeing the fish, the white dragon stopped growling, but her pupils were still dilated. Reaching the end of his cell with nothing but bars separating the two. "Let me take off that muzzle. That way you can eat this delicious fish," Hiccup requested. He was hoping that the dragon would cooperate with him. Luckily for him, she is cooperating with him. Reaching to her side of the cells, he was able to reach the back of the muzzle to unstrap it. While doing this, Hiccup felt pain shooting through his body at a rapid pace. Once the muzzle was taken off, he hands the dragon the fish. The moment she had the fish, she quickly headed towards the opposite direction of the human.

Hiccup's legs started to feel like jelly. Soon, he collapsed on the floor again with a thud, which leads the dragon rider to fall unconscious from over straining himself while he was still injured. The white dragon watches the odd human, grateful for the fish the strange human had given to her. It was also the first human to ever show her kindness. Usually, humans would eat in front of her while she was starving. She was curious to learn more about this human, but first she needs to eat. She quickly devoured the fish. Seconds after eating the fish, she is now staring at the unconscious human, wondering why he gave up his own food for her. What if his kindness was only to lure her into a trap? If it was a trap, she was going to make him regret ever double crossing her. Whatever the case might be, she was going to keep a very close eye on him.

Meanwhile, back on Berk, we find Astrid and Heather are about to take off to find Hiccup. Just when both of the women were ready to head out, Gunner cried out, "Astrid, wait. You can't just leave like that. Please, let us help you get Hiccup back." He didn't want to lose her just when he got his daughter back. Was it not a father's job to protect his daughter? He had already failed once at that job. He would be damned before he failed at protecting his daughter again.

Just before Astrid could respond; dragon hunters were charging towards them. The hunters were not the only ones heading towards them, but a group of dragons are also coming their way. "Alright, Dagur and Eret, you two takes on the dragons. While the villagers of Berk take on the hunters. Heather and I are going to find where that ship went," Astrid immediately takes charge of the situation. The people of Berk were impressed by Astrid's leadership skills. Stoick was hoping that she would return with his son. So that maybe he could convince the both of them to get rid of their dragons, so they could lead Berk as the new chief and chieftess.

"Wait, Astrid. Why would you use a Deadly Nadder to track down Hiccup? Wouldn't a dragon from the Tracker Class be a better choice?" Fishlegs asked, very confused, as to why they would follow a dragon that the Book of the Dragons said belonged to the Sharp Class. The riders and their dragons, except Stormfly, laughed kindheartedly at the question. The blue dragon gave the human a confused expression. Why did he think she and her species belonged in what the humans classified as Sharp Class?

"Fishlegs, sorry to break it to you, but Deadly Nadders are Tracker Class dragons. The Book of the Dragons was wrong about the classification of Nadders. And a lot of other things as well," Astrid explained once done laughing. Fishlegs is blushing of embarrassment.

Early in her journey with Hiccup, they had learned that Deadly Nadders belonged in the Tracker Class, not in the Sharp classification. Which did explain how Nadders were excellent hunters. They learned that Nadders used their excellent sense of smell to track down their prey. It also explained how they were always able to find the sheep and other livestock back when they lived in Berk.

"The Book of the Dragons was wrong? What other information was wrong?" Fishlegs could not retain himself with his pursuit of knowledge. He wondered about what Hiccup and Astrid learned on their journey. He was quite jealous of them. The dragon riders just might have found someone that could geek out with their beloved leader.

They all noticed that the hunters were very close to them. They also realize that the dragons were circling around the riders and villagers in the air as they were surrounding them, ready to strike. "Alright, everyone. Let's do this," Astrid ordered, ready to save her betrothed.

"Don't kill your husband while you're at it," Dagur teased her while he and Eret had taken to the air to deal with the dragons.

That statement left the villagers surprised by this information. Hiccup and Astrid were married? How and when did that happen? Then they all recalled what Grimmel had said to them three days ago, "You don't have to protect them Stoick. They did betray the Viking way after all. But since you want to play dumb, I'll tell you, their names. Hiccup Haddock and Astrid Hofferson soon-to-be Haddock." At the time the Night Fury killer had told them that, they were just overwhelmed by the rumor that both of the missing teens were still alive.

Gunner and Hilda Hofferson had conflicted feelings about the news. On one hand, they are happy that their daughter was letting others into her life again. They had feared that she would waste her life with only battling and fighting. Life was too short to not have someone else to love, and they feared that she was taking that path. That is the reason why they were about to go to Stoick for a marriage contract between her and Hiccup, just before the both of them had seemingly vanished from existence.

On the other hand, the both of them were marrying each other behind their families' backs. Sure, they were hoping Hiccup and Astrid would marry each other. When they both went their separate ways, back when the two were young children, neither one of them were ever the same. Now, Hiccup was marrying their daughter without their blessing. The both of the Hoffersons have to now wait, and hope that their daughter would bring back Hiccup so they could explain themselves. "Sweetie, please come back to us when you're done saving your boyfriend," asked Hilda. Just to be on the safe side, she is asking her daughter to return back. Astrid nods to her mother to answer her question.

Snotlout was beside himself in pure jealously of his cousin. Never in his life was he as jealous of his fishbone of his cousin at that moment. Even more so than the jealousy he felt when they were children, back when Astrid was always by Hiccup's side. The moment Astrid and the unknown woman saved him from his cell, he was dumbfounded by the beauty that was Astrid. Immediately, he flirted with Astrid but that only earned him a punch in the face by said woman before she told him she was dating someone else. At the time, he thought she was playing hard to get with him, but now he realizes she was not playing around.

Taking off in the air was Heather and Astrid. They were following the lead of Stormfly as the Nadder could hardly pick up her rider's mate's scent. The blue dragon did not know if it was because of all the new Viking scents, or that maybe Hiccup was just too far away, making his scent difficult to pick up. Whatever the case might be, she was determined to pick up the scent of Hiccup. If Stormfly could not pick it up, she knows her rider would be devastated. The Deadly Nadder was going to do everything in her power to not let that happen.

Back to the cells, where a certain dragon rider and white dragon are located at. It had been about an hour since Hiccup fell unconscious. Then, all of a sudden, he was awoken by a roar from the white dragon. The moment his emerald eyes look at the dragon, the site he sees horrified him to the depths of his core.

He sees several guards whipping the poor defenseless dragon with whips. The white dragon was chained down, so it could not defend itself from the assaults from the whips. Also, he notices that the muzzle was back on the dragon. Hearing the sickening crack as the whip makes contact to the poor creature's flesh making it bleed some more from its wounds, before the dragon would cry out in pain. Next hearing the guards laughing sadistically at the poor creature crying out in pain, fills Hiccup with pure rage.

Standing up was Hiccup as he ignores the pain he is feeling. His legs are wobbly, but he still finds the strength to stand up. Glaring at the twisted guards as they continue to torture that defenseless dragon. "Hey, why don't you all pick on someone that can defend themselves?!" Hiccup shouts at the guards while he balls up his fist. First, they starved the dragon to the point of malnutrition. Now, they are whipping it and then drew blood from the dragon's wounds. It was no wonder that the dragon seems to not have any trust in him. Hiccup was not going to stand there and watch this. He now knows that he needs to get the both of them out of here now. He does not know how they were getting out yet, but he has to figure it out fast.

"Hey, guys. Look who decided to join us. It's the big, bad, scary Dragon Master. Not so tough now without your pet Night Fury," one of the guards mocked him. With that being said, the rest of the guards stopped whipping the whimpering dragon. All the guards' attention was now on the beaten dragon rider.

"Says the guard that is whipping a defenseless dragon. Why not try that without the dragon being at a disadvantage? Then see how tough you really are," Hiccup quickly responded.

"You sure have a mouth on you," the guard replies while he makes his way towards the dragon rider, believing that he could beat the rider easily because of the state the rider's body was in. Plus, the Dragon Master did not have his Night Fury by his side to save him.

"My old village was going to call me Hiccup the Sarcastic," Hiccup quickly quipped.

Opening the door and walking into the cell is the guard. He was about to attack the beaten dragon rider. How hard would it be to harm Hiccup in this state? When the guard was in front of the rider, Hiccup had quickly thrown a punch at the guard's jaw as hard as he could. The contact of Hiccup's fist to the guard's jaw caused him to fall on the ground unconscious, with blood seeping through his mouth.

All of the years of Hiccup being Gobber's apprentice had given the rider some hidden strength in his small lean body. On top of that, Astrid's training had also given him some extra strength over the past six years too. The remaining guards all rushed the battered and beaten rider to prevent him from escaping the cell. At first, Hiccup tried to defend himself from the assault of the guards. But due to the fact that he was already beaten to an inch of his life by Alvin and Viggo, the loss of blood from said beating, and the guards outnumbering him, he was not successful in defending himself was an understatement to say the least.

When the guards were done beating on Hiccup, two of them picked him up by his arms, one on each arm. Hiccup is coughing up blood and he was wheezing from what felt like his ribs were fractured. The white dragon was forced to witness the kind human taking a beating just for standing up for her. During all of this, she tried to break out to save him like he did for her, but unfortunately the chains were too strong. Never in her life had she felt as helpless as she does now.

"Don't got anymore smart-ass remarks left?" asked a guard who was in front of the battered rider and was about to deliver a blow to Hiccup's bloodied face. Hiccup is closing his eyes and waiting for that blow to make contact to his face. Just before the punch could make contact, a Nadder's tail-spike was shot and landed between Hiccup and the guard. Gasps of shock came from the surprised guards.

"Get your dirty damned hands off my Hiccup!" screamed Astrid. Hiccup opened his eyes and a part of him felt sorry for the guards, but he also dreaded when he was going to be alone with his livid axe-wielding girlfriend. He knows that he deserves some punishment from her for breaking his promise to her, lying to her face, and sneaking onto this ship without any backup. Even though he knows he deserves punishment for his actions, that does not mean he was looking forward to it at all.

Then, there was a familiar roar from a certain black dragon. The guards back away from the injured rider as they heard the roar of a Night Fury. Fear had filled them as they tried to locate the dragon. Then, out of nowhere, an axe almost decapitated one of the guards, while Toothless pounces on another guard. The Night Fury is growling at the humans who dared harmed his rider. Astrid revealed herself with Stormfly behind her ready to attack if given the word. The blonde woman was glaring at the guards with so much hatred for harming her man. A part of her hoped that one of them was stupid enough to attack her, so she could make him an example of what she does to someone who dared harm Hiccup. "I'm only going to give you all this one chance to walk away. If you don't walk away right now, I'm going to send you all on a one-way trip to Helheim," Astrid threatens coldly, meaning every word she said.

The guards, knowing that this was not a fight they can win nor live through, they all wisely left. The second the guards were gone, Toothless runs towards his rider. Once he was beside his rider, who was sitting on the floor of the cell, he starts to lick his wounds while he coons. "I'm alright, bud. Now that you're here, Toothless," Hiccup greets his best friend as he pets Toothless. He knows that his dragon must have been extremely worried about him. That was why he was petting the worried Night Fury to bring it comfort. Toothless purrs in delight as his human pets him.

The Light Fury watched the interaction between the Night Fury and the human. She wondered just how close their bond was. She also wondered what the both of them had been through to have such a strong bond with one another. The kind, but strange, human just keeps getting more interesting to her. Now she was even more curious to learn more about this odd human, but she will keep her guard up if it was still a trap.

The young woman walks towards her boyfriend with a harden glare. Despite her anger towards the auburn-haired man for lying to her, she was also concerned about his well-being at the moment. It looked like they had done a large amount of damage to him. She had second thoughts to go back and really harm everyone that dared touch even a hair on his head. But she did not because she knows Hiccup would not approve of that. Hiccup cowers when he sees the look on her face. "H-hi Astrid. Lovely d-day we're having," Hiccup greets his love of his life nervously.

"What the fuck were you thinking?! Sneaking into an enemy's ship without any backup like that! What the hell is wrong with you?! You could've been killed Hiccup!" Astrid yells at him. Hiccup looks down to the floor in shame that he is being scolded by his girlfriend like this. He knows that her anger was justified because he had worried her with his reckless actions.

"I'm sorry, Astrid. I just couldn't let anyone from Berk be hurt by my actions. I had to try and find a way that didn't mean war," Hiccup replies while he keeps his head down.

"I know that, but Hiccup, they could've killed you. What would I do without you?" Astrid responded while hugging Hiccup. As she hugs him, she buries her face into his chest, and lets out her tears. Hiccup returns the hug to bring comfort to his girlfriend.
