A certain white dragon puts a stick down on the ground from her mouth. "There, all done. What do you think about this, Toothless?" the Light Fury says as she finishes drawing a portrait of Toothless. After the two dragons woke up from their little nap, the Light Fury asked Toothless if he could teach her to draw. Toothless would agree to teach her how to draw. Now, here we are with both dragons minding their own business while drawing in the sand peacefully together. Toothless took the time to analyze the drawing of himself. Truth be told, he thought it looked wonderful. Sure, he was better at drawing but that is because he had years of practice. Besides, it is the thought that counted and that is all that mattered to him.

"I think it looks beautiful, just like you," Toothless compliments the colorless dragon, honest as he could ever be. But soon he realized that he called her "beautiful." He did think that she is the most gorgeous dragon he had ever set his eyes on, but he also did not want to rush things with her. He knew that something like that would make her feel uncomfortable. "I'm so sorry for maybe making you uncomfortable. I mean, I truly do believe you're beautiful. Damn it. Why is this so difficult?" Toothless states, flustered as he fumbled his words nervously around the pretty dragon next to him. He wishes more than anything that he had more experience with talking to female dragons, that he was interested in asking to be her mate. He just had to blow his chance before they could present themselves.

The Light Fury just lets out lighthearted giggles at Toothless. The Light Fury found Toothless adorable when he is all flustered from simply giving her a compliment. "It's alright, Toothless," the albino dragon comforts the nightly dragon beside her once her laughing fit was finished.

"Do you mind if I could ask you something, White Scales?" Toothless asked softly. Never in his twenty-one years of life was he as nervous as he been at this very moment. He is silently praying to all the gods that she would say yes to the next question Toothless asks of her. He knows that he is taking a huge leap, but he had felt that in his heart that she is the one that would complete him. He just hopes that she felt the same way as he does.

"I don't mind at all, Toothless."

"If it's not too much to ask, I was wondering if you could be my mate in the future. It doesn't have to be now. But in the future would you make me the happiest dragon on Midgard to have you beside me? You can say 'no' if you want to."

The Light Fury is silent as she processes what Toothless asked her. It was a lot to ask of her now. She did not know what to feel now because her emotions were all over the place now. On one hand, she is flattered that Toothless asked her to be his mate. All her life she had spent alone with the thought she was the last of her kind. During those lonely years searching to see if she was the last one, believing that her life was meant to not have that one special male dragon. She had wished with all her heart that there was another one like her. Now she knows that she was not the only one with the discovery of Toothless. But she was not sure if she was ready to have a mate. It was a huge responsibility and she felt overwhelmed with the idea. But also, she felt at ease that it was Toothless that asked.

In the short amount of time that she knew Toothless, he seems like very a sweet dragon. He also said they could become mates in the future so maybe they could wait and see what their relationship leads them to. Toothless, on the other hand, is shooting himself in his foot or in this case his paw for accidentally rushing this relationship with the white dragon. He is afraid that he scared her off with asking her to be his mate in the future. "Let me think about it. It's a lot to take in now," the Light Fury replied as she rubs her cheek against Toothless's cheek. The Night Fury's pupils widened as he gives his signature gummy smile. All the while relief washes over himself. His legs shook from his pure gratitude that he had a chance to be with the colorless dragon.

"Thank you, White Scales."

"You're welcome, Toothless," the albino dragon says while mimicking Toothless's gummy grin. Both dragons rub their heads against one another while purring in delight. The two Strike Class dragons are content with one another's company. Happy that they were not alone in this crazy world we live in.

Meanwhile, back in Berk, Astrid and Hiccup are in front of Hilda and Gunner's front door. Shortly after rekindling his relationships with his former peers, they all decided to meet up in the cove once Astrid came back with dragons. After realizing that it was getting late, they walked back towards the village. Once back in Berk, the six young adults went their separate ways so to rest up for tomorrow. Hiccup was the most adamant that the council members all voted against the very thought of training dragons. Why would he not come to that conclusion? When all his time living in Berk all of the villagers treated him like the dirt below their feet. Nor did they believe anything he had to say. He genuinely believed that the villagers would dismiss him like they had done to him in the past.

But standing in front of the door, Hiccup felt a wave of unease hit him. The weight of the situation of meeting with his soon to be in-laws came crashing down on him. He was not sure on how Astrid's parents would react to him marrying their daughter. All the years of being mistreated by everyone in the village made him skeptical that anyone living in Berk would treat him kindly. Besides, the Hofferson family is known for their tempers and he figures that they would not take too kindly of him for marrying Astrid. He also dreaded when they reveal that Hiccup and Astrid already live in the same house before they are even married to one another. Sure, Hiccup and Astrid slept in separate rooms from one another. But that does not mean her parents would be all right with the idea of their daughter living with her betrothed before the wedding. Hiccup is laughing nervously as he is rubbing the back of his head before he would say, "You know, Astrid. On second thought, I shouldn't interrupt your time with Gunner and Hilda? I should head back to the cove before Toothless and the Light Fury get back from their date. I'll see-" Before Hiccup could finish, Astrid grabs one of Hiccup's braids and pulls at it hard. "Ouch! Astrid let go of that this instant!"

"Oh, no you don't. I'm so sorry, babe, but I'm not going let you get sick while you're still injured. Besides, we're going to be married soon. Might as well get to know my parents. Could you please at least try for me? I promise they're not that bad once you get to know them," Astrid replied, not letting go of the braid in the fear Hiccup would abandon her the moment she lets go of it. She did not want Hiccup to be nervous around her parents. She wanted them to be one big happy family together. Without a second thought, Astrid knocked on her parents' door while still holding on to Hiccup's braid. The door opened momentarily as Hilda is the one that answered the door.

"Hello, Sweetheart. And hello to you too, Hiccup. Please come on in and make yourselves comfortable," Hilda greeted both her daughter and future son-in-law as the older woman steps aside so they could come inside.

"Thanks, Mama. Do you and Papa mind Hiccup stay over for the night? He doesn't have anywhere safe to sleep now," Astrid replied as she makes her way inside her childhood home, all the while still pulling Hiccup by his hair so he could not escape.

"You can let me go now, Astrid," Hiccup complains towards Astrid to voice his discomfort about her pulling on his hair like that. Astrid lets go of the braid and Hiccup immediately rubs the back of his head where said braid is located at. "Ouch. Why is it always violence with you?!"

Rolling her blue eyes before replying to her boyfriend, "It's not violence. It's a form of communication, Hiccup. I thought we've already been over this." She then gives him a kiss on his cheek. "That's for everything else, my dragon boy," Astrid smirked teasingly at the star-struck expression on Hiccup's face. Oh, how she loved that Hiccup is like putty in her hands. After all these years, Hiccup still breaks from the simplest kiss from Astrid. Hilda silently watched the young couple interact with each other fondly. The older woman had not seen her daughter even remotely close to being this happy in several years. Closest to the scene in front of Hilda that she had ever seen was just how happy Astrid was in her dreams, where her daughter had two children alongside Hiccup. Oddly enough, she had not had a dream about the two children since this whole situation with Grimmel started. She did wonder why the dreams stopped that day. Whatever the case might be, she was determined to not lose Astrid or Hiccup ever again.

"Honey, who was at the door?" Gunner asked as he made his way towards the living room to see his wife with their daughter and Hiccup. "Greetings, Astrid and Hiccup. I got great news for the both of you. It was decided that you two are going to teach us how to train dragons. Isn't that wonderful?" Gunner could not contain himself from telling the young couple of the decision to train dragons.

Hiccup gasped in pure shock of the news. His emerald, green eyes widened as the impossible had occurred. Never in his twenty-one years of life would he ever believe that Berk would allow anyone to train dragons. He briefly wonders if this was all just a dream. He quickly pinches himself to see if he was asleep. The pain he received was enough evidence to prove that this was not a dream. He tries to voice his surprise, but no words came out of his mouth. It was like the words he wanted to say were glued to his tongue preventing him from speaking. 'How did the council members even be convinced by the idea of training dragons?' Hiccup thinks to himself. The young man figured that the best scenario for them was only one council member voting in favor if they were lucky enough for even that.

Astrid came in front of Hiccup with mischief written all over her face. "See? I told you Berk might be reasoned with," Astrid says once the young woman is in front of the love of her life. She reminds herself of all the times where she tried to convince Hiccup to at least try to show Berk that it was wrong about dragons. But every time she would try, Hiccup would tell her that he seriously doubted that the Berkians are capable of change. It did make sense that Hiccup believed that. It is difficult for anyone who believed in something for three hundred years to have the idea turned inside out. Still, she wishes that they had come back sooner. Awhile at least it was better late than never. It did make her wonder what would have happened if Hiccup and herself had never left to begin with. Would have Berk agreed with training dragons if they had not left? How much would their lives have changed had they stayed in Berk? Unfortunately, she is never going to get the answer to these questions.

"H-how is this possible? I m-mean Vikings hate dragons with all their being. On top of that, you guys listened to what I suggested. Color me surprised," Hiccup says finding his voice again.

"Well, it was a narrow victory but, in the end, you got what you wanted. Hiccup, your father was looking for you," Gunner informed the auburn haired man.

"Honey, Astrid asked if it was okay if both stayed here for the night. That's if you're all right with that of course?"

Perfect. This gives Gunner some time to get to know the man Hiccup grew into. Sure, he did not doubt his daughter was in some abusive relationship with Hiccup. The former heir did not seem like the kind of man that would disrespect or harm his daughter. It would not hurt to at least make sure such a thing was not happening. "I don't mind at all. Let us all celebrate with the fine dinner you made us dear," Gunner says while he gives his wife a kiss on the cheek. Then the four of them went to have supper together as a family. At first, Hiccup was shy and timid when the conversation started. Who could blame him for feeling uncomfortable with being there? The longer the conversation went on, the more Hiccup felt at ease. Hiccup and Astrid told them all the adventures they have been on, not to forget all the lives that they saved both dragons and humans, how and when they started dating each other, and everything in between. The only thing that Astrid and Hiccup did not disclose was anything that involved Valka. The young couple did not know how they would have reacted towards what happened to the former chieftess. After having the relaxing dinner, the four of them went to bed. Astrid went into her old room, Hiccup slept in the living room, as Hilda and Gunner went into their room.

Before falling asleep, Hiccup wonders if Heather and Dagur are safe and on their way here. He suspects that the Berserker siblings were resting on an inhabited island. But he knows there is still a chance that something went wrong, and they were captured by their enemies. He plots that if both were not back by the afternoon tomorrow, he would go looking for them. Hiccup was not too worried about Eret, as he believes that the former dragon trapper was safe, and he would see him in the morning. As a tide of fatigue washed over the young man, a concerning thought came to him. 'What if Toothless doesn't come back?' He supposes this thought was just his insurances speaking again. Then again, Toothless did destroy the original automatic prosthetic tail fin because he did not like flying without Hiccup. Now with the Light Fury around, would Toothless leave him because he wanted his freedom to be with Light Fury over him? He was not convinced he was anything without Toothless. Everything good in his life came because of Toothless. He genuinely believed that he is nothing without his Night Fury. He silently makes a vow to himself that the first thing he would do tomorrow is head back to the cove to check if Toothless and the Light Fury returned. In a blink of an eye, Hiccup had fallen into a well-deserved slumber.

Hiccup woke up from Gobber entering the Hofferson residence. "Sorry, Laddie. Didn't mean to wake ya up," Gobber apologizes the moment he realized that he accidentally woke up his former apprentice from his blissful rest. The blacksmith came here once he did not find Hiccup at Stoick's home. He had been positive that Astrid would know where the former heir was at.

"It's all good, Gobber. And good morning, Meathead," Hiccup replies teasingly at his previous mentor. Oh, how Hiccup had missed the teasing banter with Gobber.

"Good morning to you too, Toothpick." Gobber, like Hiccup, had missed the banter between himself and Hiccup. When Hiccup and Astrid went missing six years ago, the aging blacksmith felt a part of himself die. But with Hiccup and Astrid back, that part felt like it came back to life.

Just when Hiccup is about to excuse himself to go looking for Toothless, Astrid came inside the room carrying a tray with a pitcher alongside her parents. Hiccup knows full well what is inside that pitcher: Astrid's infamous yaknog. "Oh, you're awake now, Hiccup. Good, I got freshly made yaknog ready for everyone before Stormfly and I head out," Astrid says while she pours Hiccup a mug of the recklessly made drink.

"Well, um, thanks Milady," Hiccup says before he took a drink of the vile tasting substance. It took all of Hiccup's willpower to not regurgitate the yaknog back up to the surface. Hiccup did not want to offend Astrid. He knew that Astrid poured her heart into cooking. He is also more than certain that her talents were not in the culinary department. Astrid is pouring a mug of yaknog for Gunner, Hilda, and Gobber. Immediately when the three older adults' taste buds met the yaknog, they instantly spat out the awful tasting beverage. Coughing and hacking, the three of them were trying to get over the horrendous taste of yaknog. This only got them a fierce glare from Astrid.

Once Gobber stopped, he looks at Hiccup, impressed that Hiccup could stomach Astrid's cooking. "Lad, how on Asgard did you drink that stuff? Is your stomach made of iron or something?"

Hiccup shakes his head as he speaks, "I'm just used to Astrid's cooking that I can tolerate it more than anyone." Hilda, Gunner and Gobber all gave Hiccup shocked and sympathetic looks as the information sinks inside their minds. They all felt sympathy for their former heir with the number of times he must have had to eat Astrid's reckless cooking just to get used to it. "Besides, it's the thought that counts," Hiccup added when he sees the expression on the older adults' faces. Astrid smiled fondly at what Hiccup had to say. She was just so glad that someone did not use her cooking skills as the butt of jokes.

"First Stoick choosing Valka who couldn't cook to save her life. Now you pick Astrid who cannot cook either. What is up with Haddock men and lasses with cookin skills that can kill more than the beasties? I do wonder that if both of ya had a son, would he follow his father and grandfather's leads?" Gobber could not help himself to tease the soon to be wedded couple. Astrid did not enjoy that the blacksmith was teasing her cooking skills. Not only that, but he had gone and mentioned Hiccup's mother. Sure, she did not hate her like she did a year previously, but she still could not overlook what Valka had done. No one can blame her for feeling like that against Valka. Valka did abandon Hiccup when he was just an infant. But when Gobber spoke about Hiccup and her having son left her with a raging blush on her face from embarrassment.

"GOBBER!" both Hiccup and Astrid shouted at the blacksmith at the same time as loud as they could. Hiccup too had a blushing storm on his face as well when Gobber had started to talk about him and Astrid having a boy. Hilda, on the other hand, already had a feeling on what Hiccup and Astrid's son would look like. A certain blonde haired little boy with a pair of green eyes that she had been having dreams about over the past six years.

"I was just joking. No need to holler like that."

"Anyway, I should head out now so I can get the dragons," Astrid says as she puts the tray down and makes her way towards the door, ready to get the dragons so they could teach the Berkians on how to train dragons. Stepping outside, a certain Deadly Nadder gladly greeted Astrid. Stormfly had not seen her rider since Astrid went after Hiccup. When Astrid returned last night, Stormfly was out flying to fish from the ocean. "I missed you too, girl. Are you ready to help me herd up some dragons?" Stormfly squawked happily as the dragon lowered herself so her rider can get on her back. Before the dragon rider and her dragon could even take off into the sky, they were interrupted by Hilda yelling out.

"Astrid, please wait a second! When you and Stormfly return here, I'm going to teach you how to cook. I am not going to take no for an answer." Astrid just groaned when hearing her mother say that. The young woman wonders why her culinary skills were always being the butt of the joke. Hilda is more determined to teach her daughter how to properly make food. In the past, every time Hilda would even attempt to show Astrid how to cook, Astrid would do one of two choices. One was arguing with each other. The other decision Astrid did was leave. At the time, Astrid was hell bent on not learning something that was not a part of what she wanted to do. Now that Astrid is about to marry Hiccup and after the awful experience of tasting yaknog, Hilda is going to teach Astrid how to cook if it was the last thing she did.

"Your mother is right," Gunner backed up his wife. He too had planned to help his wife with making sure Astrid learned how to prepare food. He knows that an unmotivated Astrid can be as stubborn as they get. In the past, he was not too keen on forcing Astrid to do something that she did not want to do. But after hearing how Hiccup was used to Astrid's unique skills at putting together food and even getting the chance at tasting it too, he knows now that his daughter is in a dire need to learn this skill.

"Okay, fine. I'll do. Can you please head out there to get some dragons?" Both of her parents nodded their heads, glad Astrid cooperated with them.

"Milady, please stay safe out there?"

"Don't worry, babe. I'll be fine," Astrid promised Hiccup to put his worried mind at ease. The blonde haired woman knows that she and Hiccup would always worry about each other's well-being. She would not have it any other way because it shows that they genuinely cared for each other. Even Stormfly squawked at Hiccup as if she is promising the auburn haired man that she would make sure to keep Astrid safe if necessary. Without a second to waste, Stormfly was in the air and flying in the western direction towards their island where the dragons that Hiccup and Astrid saved over the years were. Once Astrid and her dragon was out of sight, Hiccup made his way to the cove where he hopes to find a certain dragon couple at. Our hero was a path that would change Berk forever.

I am so sorry for the delay of this chapter. Two to three days after updating chapter 5 of my other fanfiction, Finding What You Are Not Looking For, I heard of the tragic news of someone I have knew for most of my life had passed away. It led to me not being that motivated with writing. Last time this happened back in 2014 I took a long hiatus from writing, and I only came back the begin of this year. Please do not worry guys? I do plan to finish this story for you guys and writing the sequel. Anyway, I do apologize for the last chapters seeming like I have been complaining about how hard my life has been lately. Yeah, Toothless and Light Fury returned into the story. Sorry for anyone that might have been disappointed with the lack of Toothless and Light Fury. There was a lot of drama the characters needed to address before I could bring them back into the story. I was going to add Heather and Dagur into this chapter, but I was not sure yet about what I wanted to happen on the ship just yet. There is a lot of ways I can go with them, and I do want to pick the best one for this story. I do hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I want to thank everyone that has followed, favorited, and reviewed this story so far. Credit of the idea for the return of the yaknog and Astrid's parents having their first experiences with it goes to corbinace. I wish you all have a wonderful day, stay safe out there and I will see you guys in the next update. ^_^
