Fog-Stalker follows Hilda closely after the distraught mother evacuates herself from her house. Fog-Stalker could sense that something was wrong with her new rider. So, the young hybrid dragon decides to comfort Hilda the best that Fog-Stalker could do. Hilda would continue to run into the forest until she reached a clearing. Hilda thinking that she was alone, fell to her knees and began letting tears fall.

"Why did you do that, Valka?" Hilda cries out softly between her sobs. Hilda could not fathom the idea that her childhood best friend had abandoned everyone. Unknown to Hilda, she was not alone. Fog-Stalker wanders closer towards the weeping women and once beside Hilda. Fog-Stalker rubs her snout against Hilda while softly coons at Hilda as if she asked Hilda if she was alright.

Hilda assumed that the young dragon was worried about her. Hilda quickly wipes away the tears from her cheeks before telling the young hybrid, "I'm sorry to worry you, Fog-Stalker. I'll be alright now." The last thing Hilda needed was to upset the Deadly Galeslash. Fog-Stalker lets out a soft whimper as she can still sense that her new rider is upset about something. "It's just that I'm disappointed with my childhood friend, Valka, Fog-Stalker," Hilda added.

Fog-Stalker sits down on her hind legs, waiting for Hilda to discuss her problem with Valka. The hybrid figures that if Hilda discussed her feelings about whatever happened with Valka, it might make Hilda feel better.

After a few moments of silence, Hilda concluded that Fog-Stalker was waiting for her to continue with what had happened with Valka and why it distressed her. Hilda would pour her heart out to her new scaled friend. Hilda would tell the young dragon everything that was bothering her about what Hilda learned that Valka did. Hilda, after telling Fog-Stalker everything that troubled her about what transpired with her close childhood friend. Hilda had felt a great relief from having an opportunity to talk about how she felt without being judged by others. "Thanks, Fog-Stalker, for being here with me," Hilda thanked the hybrid dragon.

The two of them stayed like that for a few moments enjoying each other's company. After a few minutes of sitting down and enjoying each other's company, Hilda heard bushes rustling on her right side. Later, Gunner and his newly required Timberjack made their presence known. "There you are, Honey. I was looking everywhere for you," Gunner greeted his wife as he sat next to her.

Meanwhile, the two dragons socialized before running off to play with each other. "I'm sorry, Gunner. I just needed to clear my mind," Hilda responds to her husband.

"That's quite alright, Honey. I know how much Valka meant to you; anyone would react like," Gunner sympathizes with his wife. Who would not be hurting from learning that their best friend had made everyone believe they were dead?

"I just couldn't believe that she would do like that."

"Me neither, honey," Gunner replies as he engulfs his wife in his loving arms. After a long moment of Gunner and Hilda hugging each other, Gunner breaks the hug before saying, "I think we should make our way to the Great Hall for some breakfast." Once Gunner suggested that his stomach growled loudly in agreement.

Hilda could not help herself giggling at that. "Alright, then we shall get something to eat, Sweetheart," Hilda said, and with that, both husband and wife, alongside their dragons, made their way back to the village. Hilda and Gunner hoped that Hiccup and Astrid were at the Great Hall to have breakfast together as a family.

Fishlegs is making his way to meet up with his friends at the Great Hall for breakfast before today's lesson. The gentle Viking could not help himself with his excitement of learning more about dragons. The thought of the many secrets about dragons that have yet to be discovered makes Fishlegs want to bounce around excited.

Following Fishlegs is a certain Gronckle that was primarily a combination of dark and light brown coloring, with a pair of yellow eyes. If you would have told Fishlegs that a dragon could be as sweet as Meatlug before all this training dragons stuff happened? He would never believe it to be true. But here they are, and it felt neural for Fishlegs to have Meatlug as his dragon. The sizeable young adult could not explain it, but when he intruded on the Gronckle, it felt like he had met a dragon with his soul. As the newly dragon rider and his dragon make their way to their destination, Fishlegs remembers when he first bonded with Meatlug.

(Flashback)

Fishlegs looks around for a suitable dragon for him to train. Fishlegs was afraid that something might go wrong because Fishlegs had never taught a dragon before, so it was understandable that he would be nervous. But also, Fishlegs felt slightly jealous of how quick the Thornton family took to bond with their two Zipplebacks rather quickly. Fishlegs figured that the recklessness of the Thornston family was the reason the crazy family would excel at something crazy like dragon-riding.

Fishlegs looks around the Killing Area and spots Heather. Fishlegs's heart immediately skips a few beats; Fishlegs felt like his tongue gets tied up, his palms were sweaty from his nervousness, and butterflies were flying around in his stomach. Fishlegs had never seen anyone as beautiful as Heather before. Fishlegs decides to introduce himself to the black-haired woman as he approaches Heather.

"H-hi, my n-name is, Fishlegs," Fishlegs shyly introduces himself when he is close enough to Heather. Fishlegs was nervously stuttering his words because Fishlegs had not had much experience with talking to beautiful women.

Heather turned her attention towards Fishlegs as she responded, "Hello, Fishlegs. My name is Heather. It's nice to meet you." Heather found Fishlegs's shy introduction cute. Not that Heather would admit aloud to anyone. Especially around her overprotective brother nearby.

Fishlegs then proceeds to start blushing. Fishlegs was not used to gorgeous women talking to him. Women usually ignore Fishlegs's presents and act like Fishlegs never existed. Fishlegs figured it was probably because he loved talking about dragon facts and did not know how to talk to women—growing up with only two girls around Fishlegs's age. Fishlegs recalls that Astrid never responded positively when anyone tried to flirt with her. Fishlegs also remembered that growing up, Ruffnut was more focused on causing chaos than being in a relationship with anyone.

Fishlegs figured that he might as well try to impress Heather. Fishlegs is looking around to see what dragon he should train. What dragon do Fishlegs's eyes land on? It is a reddish-orange-colored Monstrous Nightmare. Usually, Fishlegs would avoid this breed of dragon at all costs. But Fishlegs hopes that if you can train a Monstrous Nightmare, a dragon that was so dangerous that only the best Vikings dare to approach, would impress Heather. Fishlegs reaches out his hand while he makes his way toward the Monstrous Nightmare. Fishlegs then takes a deep breath to calm the nervous feeling, as he says in his most confident tone he can muster, "Hey, Monstrous Nightmare? I am going to be your new rider."

Unfortunately for Fishlegs, the Monstrous Nightmare had not taken Fishlegs's advancement lightly. The prideful dragon lit a fire as the Monstrous Night growled menacingly, causing Fishlegs to pull his hand in fright as a silent squeak came out of his mouth. Luckily for Fishlegs, Hiccup and Astrid were there to calm down the Monstrous Nightmare. Subsequently, Hiccup and Astrid had managed to calm down the aggressive Monstrous Nightmare, which had not helped the audience of villagers who chose to watch the dragons being trained. Most noticeably, the chief is one of them watching from above, not too pleased with what had happened. That led to the villagers shouting their disagreements about dragons being trainable and that dragons were never more than killing machines after seeing the Monstrous Nightmare try to attack Fishlegs. Hiccup, Astrid, Heather, Dagur, and Eret had difficulty calming down the crowd of frightened Vikings. But eventually, they seceded and calmed down everyone before a riot would break.

Hiccup takes a sigh of relaxation before turning his attention towards Fishlegs. Fishlegs would quickly apologize, "I'm so sorry, Hiccup. I don't mean for that to happen. Could you ever forgive me for that?" Fishlegs felt trouble-causing Hiccup stress. Here Fishlegs was trying to amend his mistake from the past actions toward Hiccup, and he forces the former heir under unnecessary stress.

"It's quite alright, Fishlegs. Accidents do happen from time to time, Fishlegs. Fishlegs, why did you try training a Monstrous Nightmare?" The auburn-haired man was not mad at the large blonde-haired man. But Hiccup is genuinely curious why Fishlegs tried to train a Monstrous Nightmare of all things. Out of all Hiccup's peers, Fishlegs was the most cautious. It had not made sense for Hiccup that Fishlegs would do something like that in the first place.

It is not that Hiccup had no faith that Fishlegs could train a Nightmare? It was that Monstrous Nightmare that tends to be challenging to train. Because they managed to be very prideful, their arrogance, independence, and stubbornness make Nightmares hard to train. Usually, it would take someone with similar traits to teach a Monstrous Nightmare. Fishlegs was undoubtedly not one of those people.

Fishlegs shyly looks toward Heather, who is also concerned about his safety. All Fishlegs wanted was to impress Heather. But all Fishlegs felt like his accomplice was making a fool of himself. That action, however, did not go unnoticed by Astrid. Astrid walks towards Hiccup before whispering something to Hiccup. Hiccup's eyes widened as Astrid continued to tell Hiccup something. Fishlegs is curious about what Astrid is saying to Hiccup. Once Astrid was done, she stepped away from Hiccup.

Hiccup was genuinely surprised to learn that Fishlegs might have a crush on Heather. With everything happening with the hunters, the inhabitants of Berk and Berkian's hatred of dragons, and everything else that has happened the past few days. Hiccup had overlooked Fishlegs attraction to Heather. It would make sense to Hiccup that Fishlegs would try to impress Heather by doing something he would never normally do. It is a common mistake everyone makes from time to time. Hiccup thought back to all the times he strived to catch the attention of Astrid during the years when they were not friends in Berk. However, it does not mean Hiccup approved Fishlegs doing something dangerous just for Heather's attention. After today's season, Hiccup would advise Fishlegs on how to get a woman's attention.

Besides, Hiccup had a dragon that he thought was a better fit for Fishlegs. "Fishlegs, I think I know just the right dragon for you," Hiccup says to Fishlegs before he would get a certain Gronckle. A few moments later, Hiccup had brought light and deep brown Gronckle with a pair of yellow eyes. Seeing the Gronckle, Fishlegs had a feeling that he had seen that Gronckle somewhere. "Fishlegs, I think this dragon would better fit you. This Gronckle is one of the sweetest dragons I've ever met, and she is also very gentle with people."

Fishlegs's eyes met with the Gronckle's gazes; Fishlegs stared into his soul. It was like Fishlegs met someone who shared his kind-hearted, gentle soul. Fishlegs could hardly explain why he felt like this, but it seemed like he was meant to be friends with this dragon. Fishlegs extends his hand out like Hiccup had instructed the Thorston family. Fishlegs recalled that Hiccup told the twins and their parents that dragons could sense fear which would make dragons nervous. So, to combat this, Fishlegs takes a deep breath to calm down his nerves. Before Fishlegs would say to the Gronckle in the friendliest tone he could muster, "Hello Gronckle. I want to be your trainer. If you would allow me to, that is?" Fishlegs did feel weird talking to a dragon like this because all his life, he believed that dragons, despite his belief of them being awesome, that dragons were also dangerous creatures. Fishlegs figured he would get used to talking to dragons the more he spent time with them.

The Gronckle approaches this human cautiously, afraid that he meant to harm her. The Gronckle continued to slowly walk towards Fishlegs until she was a meter or two in front of Fishlegs. The Gronckle stopped and stared into Fishlegs's eyes to see if he would hurt her. The Gronckle takes a step closer when she senses she is not in danger. Fishlegs, slightly stiff as the Gronckle took a step, which immediately caused Meatlug to stop, startled.

"It's alright, Fishlegs. Now, remember to let her come to you," Hiccup reminded Fishlegs what he had told the Thorston family before their Zipplebacks bonded with them.

"Right. It's okay, girl. I didn't mean to make you nervous. Not used to bring this close to a dragon," Fishlegs reinsured Meatlug as brave as he could. Fishlegs did not want Meatlug to be afraid of him.

It had seemed to Fishlegs that his words seemed to work as Meatlug continued to approach Fishlegs. Fishlegs's heart starts to beat as the suspense of whether Meatlug allows Fishlegs to be her rider deepens. Fishlegs's stomach is in knots from the nervousness he felt. Sweat starts to roll down Fishlegs's face as he waits for Meatlug's answer. To Fishlegs, the wait felt like it was going for eternity, but it was only a few short moments. Meatlug would finally have her snot encounter Fishlegs's hand.

Fishlegs could not find the right words to describe the feeling when Meatlug accepted his offer of friendship. Fishlegs were to tell it the best way he could. Fishlegs had never felt as complete as he virtually does at this moment. Were this Hiccup and Astrid felt when they first bonded with their dragons?

"Why don't you give her a name Fishlegs?" Hiccup suggested with a warm smile.

Fishlegs gave it a thought, and the only name he could be Meatlug. It was an odd name, but Fishlegs liked it. "How about Meatlug?"

(Flashback end)

Fishlegs smiled at the fond memory of meeting Meatlug. Fishlegs also recalled after yesterday's lesson; that Hiccup had given him some advice on how to approach women—two short pieces of advice on how to get women. The first suggestion Hiccup had given to Fishlegs was to yourself and not try being someone you are not. Fishlegs doubted this because, from experience, girls/women had never seemed interested in who he was. But then again, Hiccup did tell him that Astrid started noticing him when he started being himself back during their time at dragon training. It might have been because Hiccup miraculously went from last to best over. And Astrid is a highly competitive person and, at the time, not used to losing to anyone. Still, Hiccup and Astrid are getting married. Fishlegs figures that he might as well try by himself towards Heather.

The second piece of advice Hiccup had given Fishlegs is to find a common interest shared with Heather. Fishlegs had more confidence that this suggestion was better than the first one Hiccup gave. Fishlegs believe there had to be something Fishlegs and Heather have in common. Fishlegs comprehends the first step of learning more about how Heather is. Fishlegs walks into the Great Hall while Meatlug waits patiently outside so she can be safe. Fishlegs then get some food before looking around for a table to eat.

Luckily for Fishlegs, he sees Heather sitting at a table alone. This is the opportunity that Fishlegs had been waiting for. As Fishlegs made his way to the table, he silently prayed to any God or Goddess that would hear his request. They would kindly answer his prayer that everything with Heather goes smoothly. "Good morning, Heather," Fishlegs kindly greeted as he sat next to Heather.

"Good morning to you, Fishlegs," Heather answered Fishlegs's greeting. This would lead to Fishlegs and Heather having a pleasant conversation.

As Heather and Fishlegs get equated, Snotlout had just left the twin's home and headed towards the Great Hall to meet up with his friends before today's lesson. Shortly after yesterday's lesson, Spitelout and Snotlout had a colossal argument that resulted in Snotlout being kicked out of his home. It is understandable since Spitelout was a traditional Viking believing that dragons are bloodthirsty creatures that needed to be exterminated. So, seeing Snotlout training a specific reddish orange colored Monstrous Night did not work well with Spitelout. Snotlout, despite how his father acted, still loves and respects Spitelout. But at the same time, Snotlout felt training dragons would help him rekindle his relationship with Hiccup. Snotlout also wanted to impress Astrid with his skills at training dragons.

Was it a selfish reason for Snotlout to want to impress Astrid? Yes, and Snotlout would not even attempt to deny it. The current heir to the throne of Berk had always had feelings for Astrid. Back when Snotlout had always felt jealousy towards his cousin, especially when Hiccup had Astrid's affection, unfortunately leading to Snotlout first starting to bully Hiccup. Snotlout remembers when he first began sixteen years ago.

(Flashback)

A six-year-old Snotlout makes his way toward the Hofferson residence to ask Astrid to be his girlfriend. The young boy felt like today would be the day Astrid would start noticing him, and one day, he would marry her. The only problem is that Astrid only wanted to be around his cousin, Hiccup.

Despite being a few months older than Snotlout,' Hiccup was smaller than Snotlout. Not only that but Hiccup was considered the weakling of their peers. What confused young Snotlout to no end? Is that despite Hiccup's flaws? Astrid still chooses Hiccup over him. It is not that Snotlout hated Hiccup; he was jealous of the more petite boy. Snotlout thought that girls liked muscular guys, guys that are courageous and confident. Spitelout had told Snotlout about tips for getting a girl's attention. Hiccup had never shown any of these traits before, but Astrid does not care that Hiccup did not have strong Viking characteristics.

Snotlout walks up to the door, and before he can knock on the door, he hears Astrid yell, "One of these days, Mama, I'm going to marry Hiccup! That way, you and Papa can't separate us again!"

Snotlout mindless left after hearing Astrid shout that. It felt like someone had ripped Snotlout's heart out of his chest. Unknown to Snotlout, he had tears came rolling down his cheeks. Why did Astrid want Hiccup when she could have Snotlout instead? What did Hiccup have that he did not? As these questions one through Snotlout's mind, the more confused he felt. Should Astrid be more attracted to Snotlout than Hiccup? Nothing about Astrid and Hiccup's relationship made any sense to Snotlout.

As the six-year-old Snotlout's thoughts go towards Hiccup, a wave of burning anger that Astrid wanted to marry Hiccup over Snotlout. Not only that, but a fit of deep jealousy alongside Snotlout's anger ran through him. Snotlout vowed that day to show Astrid why he is better than Hiccup and why she should be his girl.

(Flashback ends)

Shortly after that, Snotlout started to bully Hiccup. Something Snotlout heavily regrets doing. Because it was not until Hiccup and Astrid disappeared that Snotlout wished he treated Hiccup better than he did. Snotlout knows that the past should be left in the past, and one should always learn from their mistakes. Snotlout is glad he had the chance to fix his mistakes with Hiccup. But that does not mean Snotlout was over his feelings towards Astrid.

Snotlout is not alone as he makes his way to the Great Hall because a specific Monstrous Nightmare w is following Snotlout. Snotlout had named the Monstrous Nightmare Hookfang. Snotlout recalled yesterday's lesson in which he first bonded with Hookfang.

(Flashback)

Snotlout watched, amazed by how his cousin and crush had managed to calm down the Monstrous Nightmare. The very dragon that the best Vikings go after, and Hiccup and Astrid had made it look so easy to calm the raging inferno lizard. Snotlout guess that was expected of his cousin, who could train a Night Fury of all things.

Snotlout looking at the Nightmare, felt compelled to train this dragon. Snotlout could not explain it, but he felt like this Monstrous Nightmare. Snotlout, after hearing Hiccup explain to Fishlegs that Monstrous Nightmares tend to be challenging to train, fueled Snotlout's desire to become that Nightmare's trainer. Because Snotlout figures that he could impress Astrid if he could be able to teach a Monstrous Nightmare. Snotlout knows that this idea was a long shot, but he figures that he had to try at least it and who knows. Maybe Snotlout could succeed at winning Astrid's affection?

Snotlout would do what Hiccup had previously extracted towards Fishlegs, the twins, alongside Mr. and Mrs. Thorston on the first steps of bonding with a dragon. Snotlout with his right hand out, he would introduce himself to the dragon as confidently as possible, "Hey, big guy. Why don't you and I become the ultimate kick-ass duo?"

To say that Snotlout had been afraid was an understatement. It is understandable for all the carnage and destruction caused by Nightmares that Snotlout witnessed firsthand. But Snotlout recalled Hiccup telling everyone that dragons could sense when someone was frightened, making the dragons more nervous. That would most likely lead a dragon to attack if a wrong step was taken and if that were to happen because this Monstrous Nightmare sensed that Snotlout had some fear. Snotlout knows that it could lead to him being barbecued.

The Monstrous Nightmare eyed the human cautiously, ignoring the enraged Vikings who had seen him almost attacking Fishlegs. Hiccup and the rest of his friends kept the villagers from attacking the Nightmare. The Nightmare had been looking for a solid human to come to be his rider. This human in front of the Nightmare might be worth it, especially after the giant human had failed to meet his standards. But the Nightmare figures that he might be able to train this to be worthy of being his rider. The Nightmare would come slowly closer to the human until his snout touched the palm of Snotlout's hand.

The moment the Nightmare's snout encountered Snotlout's palm, Snotlout felt a breathtaking sensation he had never felt before. A powerful surge of self-determination arises within the depths of awesomeness.

"Great job, Snotlout," Hiccup, congrats, his cousin. "By the way, do you already have a name picked out, Snotlout?"

Snotlout wanted to give this a mighty name. A name that the Nightmare would be proud of. The only name that came to Snotlout's mind was, "I'll name you, Hookfang."

(Flashback ends)

Snotlout hopes that Hookfang loved the name he picked for the Monstrous Nightmare. Once Snotlout makes it to the Great Hall, he goes in while leaving Hookfang outside the Great Hall. Snotlout knows that it was not the best idea to bring Hookfang inside a room full of dragon-hating Vikings.

He closed the door before Snotlout looked around for his friends and cousin. Soon enough, Snotlout's eyes land on a table with Fishlegs and the woman named Heather having a friendly conversation. Quickly grabbing a tray full of food, Snotlout would make his way toward them. "Good morning, you two. Do you mind if I sit with you guys?"

"Good morning to you as well. I don't mind at all, Snotlout.," Fishlegs replied.

"Good morning, Snotlout," Heather had too greeted Snotlout. That led to the residents of the table having a lightened conversation amongst themselves. While Snotlout, Fishlegs, and Heather continue their conversation, Ruffnut and Tuffnut make their way toward the Great Hall to meet up with their friends.

Like Fishlegs and Snotlout, the crazy twins are accompanied by their shared dragon. The dragon is a green-scaled Hideous Zippleback with reddish-orange spots riddled its body. The twins had been dubbed the dragon Barf and Belch. At first, Tuffnut and Ruffnut were unhappy about sharing a dragon. Because the twins had shared everything all their lives, like sharing the same spoon, bowl, and their beloved stuffed yak, for the first time in the twins' lives, they wanted something they could call their own, but when Hiccup revealed that Barf and Belch tended to pull pranks from time to time. It had convinced the twins that the Zippleback was the dragon for them.

The Loki adoration twins recalled how they first bonded with Barf and Belch as they continued to make their way to the Great Hall.

(Flashback)

Unfortunately, today's lesson would have much of the population of Berk watching with disdain for the idea of training dragons. While the crowd of displeased Barkians wondered if these nine volunteers Berkians had forgotten all the destruction dragons had caused them for three hundred years? It would seem like the volunteers had forgotten all the death and destruction that dragons had caused. The citizens of Berk did not choose to train dragons and could not forget all the lives lost during dragon raids.

"Do you have an awesomely cool dragon that should cause the most damage?" Tuffnut excitedly shouted. He was hoping to receive the loving chaos dragon he could find. Tuffnut is hoping whatever it is, and he does not want to share the dragon with his sister.

"Yeah, Hiccup, do you have any destruction and mayhem that even Loki be fond of?" Ruffnut asked, equally as excited as her brother. The female twin hoped she would not have to share a dragon with her brother. Almost every Berkian groaned at the thought of the twins having a fire-breathing dragon. They could only imagine the damage the twins would be with a dragon.

"Matter of fact, I do get a dragon perfect for you guys," Hiccup answered before making a dragon calling like a Hideous Zippleback. After Hiccup makes his Zippleback call, a green-scaled Zippleback appears beside Hiccup.

"I call dibs on the Zippleback," both Tuffnut and Ruffnut called out at the same time to their annoyingness of them.

This would lead to the twins arguing among themselves. After Hiccup, with help from his friends, he could stop the banner between the brother and sister. "Guys, the two-headed dragon needs two people to train it."

Ruffnut being the smarter of the two twins, figured out what Hiccup was suggesting; she was not happy. "There is no way I'm sharing a dragon with my idiotic brother," announced Ruffnut.

"Oh, who said I would like to share a dragon with you," Tuffnut answered back to his sister.

"Guys, I choose this Zippleback because it's known for playing pranks from time to time," Hiccup explained to the twins. Hiccup realized theorized pointing out a common trait that the twins shared with the green Zippleback would help convince the Loki-worshipping twins to share the dragon. Sure, this Zippleback had earned a reputation of being mischief at times, but Hiccup also hoped the two-headed dragon would mellow out the twins. Hiccup was current about the twins' common interest with the green dragon, as they had a mischievous sparkle in their eyes.

"Well, Hiccup, when you put it together like that," Ruffnut says, looking towards her brother while thinking about all the pranks they could pull with the Zippleback. Ruffnut figured if the green-scaled two-headed dragon loved to pull stunts, as Hiccup said, she knew that this dragon was the right for her and Tuffnut.

"I guess you got yourself a deal there, Hiccy," Tuffnut says as he looks towards his sister before spitting in his hand, holding it towards his sister. Ruffnut mimicked her brother's actions before shaking their spit-filled hands. Once done, both Ruffnut and Tuffnut bonked their heads together.

Hiccup, with most of the people of Berk, did not question the attics of the twins as the twins longed to earn the reputation of being the most unpredictable Vikings in Berk. Many residents were not thrilled about anyone from the Thorston family having any dragons. It is one of many reasons why they were observing Hiccup teaching how to train dragons. The villagers are curious about how their former heir would control the problem of the Thorston family with dragons and if they needed to step in and stop whatever crazy idea came to the unpredictable family.

"Alright, everyone, please pay attention. The first thing when encountering an unknown or a wild dragon is first to make sure you don't have any weapons on you," Hiccup instructed to the displeasure of the Berkians who chose not to train dragons. "Everyone, please let me explain. How would you feel if a stranger came toward you with weapons on them? You would not feel safe. It's the same when it comes to dragons. If a dragon doesn't know you and you're carrying a weapon? A dragon is attacking you in self-defense. Which is why you shouldn't have any weapons for this part," Hiccup explained to everyone who did not know how to train dragons and those who were against the idea.

How Hiccup described how dragons feel about unknown humans with weapons around them made some sense to the crowd. But unfortunately, the Berkians watching in the stands could not fathom the idea of dragons having feelings. To them, dragons were wild animals without morals or a sense of goodwill.

For the first time in the twins' lives, they closely paid attention to what Hiccup said. Usually, the twin's short attention span, the words from an authority figure would go in one and out the other. But the, both are determined to learn how to train dragons. Ruffnut and Tuffnut removed all their weapons as Hiccup instructed.

"The next step is to take a deep breath to calm your nerves because dragons can sense when you're nervous, scared, and uneasy. If a dragon senses these emotions from you? The dragon will also become uneasy, which could lead them to attack you," Hiccup added to his teachings. Shortly after, Tuffnut and Ruffnut did what Hiccup told them to do.

"The next step is the most important part. You lift your arm while having the palms of your hand open. Once you do that, you let the dragon come to you and look around. By doing this, you're showing the dragon that you aren't a treat," Hiccup explained, giving an example of what he was talking about, hoping to show them how easy it was. Toothless quickly realized what his rider wanted to offer, and the Night Fury would show them a demonstration of what Hiccup was talking about how to train dragons. The black dragon walked towards Hiccup's extended hand until Toothless' snout met Hiccup's palm.

The volunteers of the villagers watched in awe. The group of aspiring dragon riders is looking forward to when they, too, bond with a dragon. The twins would also follow this but were interrupted by Hiccup. "Ruff, Tuff, hold on a second. Since both of you guys are training a Zippleback, there is one more piece of information I need to tell you two. Both heads need to encounter your head simultaneously."

The green two-headed dragon would proceed to make its way towards the twins slowly. To say that the twins were not scared would be a lie. After all, throughout Tuffnut and Ruffnut's lives, they have been told countless times that dragons were bloodthirsty creatures from the most bottomless pits of Helm. But looking into the yellow eyes of the Zippleback and the twins started to question their former beliefs. After several seconds of waiting for the Zippleback's head encountered the twins' hands.

The sensation the twins felt they could not find the right words to describe it. "Alright, the last step is to name the dragon, Hiccup says, interrupting the twins' moment. The twins blurred out the first name that came to their minds at the same time.

"Barf."

"Belch."

The twins looked at each other heated. Before, the twins would ultimately lead to Ruffnut and Tuffnut arguing with each other. "We're naming this Zippleback, Barf!"

"No, we're not calling it Barf! That's such a stupid name! Belch is so much better name than Barf!"

"You're wrong, brother nut. Barf is better than Belch. You yak dung for brains!" While the twins are bickering, the two-headed dragons look back between Ruffnut and Tuffnut in confusion, not knowing what name it was given.

Astrid started annoyed with the twin's unnecessary arguing and decided to intervene. "Would you two please shut the hell up?!" Astrid's demand would silence the fighting twins.

"Thank you, Milady. Anyway, guys, Zippleback has two heads, and they need two riders. How about this? Name one head, Barf, and the other one, Belch. So, the full name will be Barf and Belch.," Hiccup suggested. The twins would give thought to the Zippleback having both of their suggested names. To Ruffnut and Tuffnut, they liked how Barf and Belch sounded perfected to them. The twins would do their structure headbutt of agreement.

(Flashback ends)

Shortly after yesterday's lesson, Hiccup instructed everyone that wanted to learn how to train dragons to spend time with their dragons to strengthen the newly required bonds between human and dragon. The twins enjoy their new two-headed friend and could not wait to Loki everyone in Berk in new and creative ways; they were also grateful that Hiccup had allowed them to become dragon riders.

Like Fishlegs and Snotlout, the twins had made it to the Great Hall. Leaving their newly required two-headed friend outside, the twins would go inside the building to meet up with their friends. Once inside the twins, immunity spotted Snotlout and Fishlegs sitting at a table alongside Heather.

Seeing Fishlegs interacting with Heather caused jealously slowly consume Ruffnut. The female thought it was odd that she had feelings for Fishlegs. During Ruffnut's childhood to teenage years, all Fishlegs did was speak about dragon facts, even though everyone was annoyed with the giant boy. There were countless times that Ruffnut had hoped that Fishlegs would talk about anything besides dragons when he would try to court her because dragon facts were a topic that never interested Ruffnut.

Ruffnut also never realized how much she had enjoyed Fishlegs' attention until Heather had shown up. Ruffnut knows it was selfish of Ruffnut to crave Fishlegs' attention after spending most of her life ignoring Fishlegs, and she should not help the feeling of jealousy. Ruffnut knows that she should be happy for Fishlegs that he seemingly has moved on from her but to her confusion, she is not pleased.

Hey guys, I'm sorry for the delay these past few months. I just had a lot of things that happened, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Here is my reasoning for not being able to upload for several months.

First as you guys know that after last chapter, I went back to edit my other fanfic's chapters. Which left me burnt out on writing. I still tried to finish this chapter around both my profile and this story's first year's anniversary. Sadly, I was not able to reach my goal. Next, I realized my brother was having another baby girl around February, so I expanded my break until she was born. Third reason is that I was having writer's block mostly with the twins' part of the story. Last reason sadly I had found my uncle dead in my apartment back in May and had to take a longer break because of that. Once again, I apologize for the last update, and I will try my best to be faster with the writing.

Anyway, I would like to thank everyone that has followed, favorited, and commented/reviewed this sorry so far. I hope you all have a wonderful day and stay safe out there, and I will see you in the next update. :D ^_^
