We are sitting in an interrogation room. My son Raziel is in his carrier seat. He is looking sadly up at me, ready to cry at any moment. I am reassuring, hoping he will calm down.

Some man and woman come bursting in. its an old scruffy guy and a blonde.

"How did you manage to steal millions of dollars from a bank in France?" The blonde asks.

"Magic" I say I rock Draco's carrier with my foot. Solely focusing on him.

"Can you focus on us?" The rude man says

"No, unless you want a screaming child. It's better this way."

"How did the playing card get in there?" The blonde asks

"I have an answer that will shock you." I say leaning closer to the blonde. They both lean in. "Magic!" He both lean away disappointed

"Okay, smart ass." The man goes to put his hands on me.

"Don't touch me." I snarl. Immediately sensing my distress Raziel starts to scream. I shush him.

The blonde is completely oblivious to what is going on here. You see the man is Dylan. I know this. Dylan knows this but no one else does. He squeezed my shoulder to tell me that everyone is buying the act. I focus on my son finding it easier to make my act believable if I am focused on my son and not what I am saying. I hope Dylan knows what he is doing. I will not let my son grow up without a mother or father. He promised that if something were to go wrong, he would personally raise Raz. Teach him the values of magic. Teach him all about his mom and dad. He said he would bring Raziel to come visit us, but I want to be able to hold him all throughout his life. I want to be there to pick him up after his first heartbreak. I want to cheer on his triumphs and hold him and tell him it will be okay during his losses. Hopefully, Dylan upholds his end of the deal.

"You are begging to be arrested." Dylan says

"If you would actually do it sure. But how do you explain this to a jury. You would tell them that we robbed a bank, while on stage in Las Vegas with over a million witnesses. But wait let's not forget to mention that this bank was in France." I tell them "No DA anywhere would touch this case with a ten-foot pole. There is way too much that doesn't make sense."

"Well, you have accomplices." Dylan says

"Are you sure?" I ask

"Yes, give them up and I'll make sure you get to see your little boy again." Dylan says as Raz reaches up to him. I start rocking Raziel again. I hope he doesn't give away that we know Dylan. He isn't that great of an actor. No one but Dylan and I can know that we know each other.

"Uh Huh. If you had a case, you wouldn't be asking for my so-called accomplices. You would just know them. So, I bet I will be walking out of here later with my son in my arms. His father at our side." I say confidently. I lean back and keep on rocking Raz.

"I will arrest you." He threatens

"Go ahead, but it shows a bad image for Interpol and FBI" I inform them.

"How?" They both ask me quickly

"Well, it shows that your organizations both believe on an institutional level in magic. Good luck explaining that one to the public. What a publicity nightmare. Well for you all. You would look more like idiots then you already do. On a side note, we would become even more famous." I explain "You have nothing up your sleeve." I tell him. That's our signal line that everything is going to plan on my end.

"I am going to know every step you take. I will know everything you do." Dylan says.

"Good, cause the closer you are the less you will actually see." I tell him. I sit back "First rule of magic always be the smartest person in the room." Knowing full well that he has this all planned out. I can see a micro expression of a smile. His blonde would have missed it, but he knows full well I caught it.

That's my trade. I read micro expressions better then anyone else in the world. I can find out if someone's lying or hiding something better then a lie detector test. Don't get me wrong I can do Houdini stunts. I can't do all of them anymore with having been pregnant and giving birth. But I hope to one day go back to my craft. I used to make money by creating homage to the great illusionists of the past. I used to put my spin on recreating the magical accidents that killed the greats. Crowds loved it. that's where Dylan found me. He saw me learning and recreating his father stunt. I recreated it. bringing his fathers trick back to the limelight. I also gave a rebirth to his father's legacy. It's something I love to do. Help these magicians be remembered. A lot of the time they pushed their craft to either make more money or wow their audiences more. That was their downfall. I know they have families that mourn them. So, I try to bring some closure to the families. Make sure their tricks never die along side them. I want the next students to not only use their tricks as a cautionary tale, but as a building block for success.

Dylan spoke to me after my show. He pulled me aside and told me who he was. He explained that he wants to get revenge on his fathers' killer. I was very confused until he told me about Thaddeus Bradley. I had never had an issue with the man. He struggles to learn my craft and what I do. Because the micro expressions are something learned off years of practice, nothing he could learn overnight. Its not magic its actually science. I know a lot of magician's careers thrown down the tube cause of Thaddeus Bradley. There are tons out there like him, but none as effective as him. I was more then happy to help take him down, but then I got pregnant. Dylan put the plan on hold till I had my baby. He wanted me to be a part of the plot no matter what.

The FBI finally releases us. Jack runs up to me. He looks down at Raziel lying sleeping in his carrier. His shoulders sag with relief. I can imagine the relief he feels knowing Raz and I are okay. We all quickly exit the building and split into two groups. One group getting into one white car and the other getting into the second white car.
