-Trisha: Coasters-

It never ceased to amaze Echo what a wonderful city she lived in. Not just for the wonderful sights and what all the districts had to offer but for the hidden gems that were the mammals she found working at her bar.

Em had definitely made her mark by organizing the bar and preparing it for its grand opening. Mac had stepped up and showed everyone that even old goats had a few new tricks. Oh and of course Petey for all his size and strength proved that the term gentle giant was alive and well.

Trisha though. She seemed to be the final piece to a puzzle that Echo had been piecing together ever since she opened the 10-7.

The bunny had managed to wiggle her way into the bar and made herself right at home.

At first, Echo had been a little worried about the flirty bunny. After all, she had seen first paw what was required of her bartenders. Sure the job paid better than most bartending gigs but that was mainly due to the demand that was put on the Barkeeps.

However, the painted owners' worries were put to rest almost immediately after Trisha's very first shift which was probably one of the best tests of the doe's mettle.

Anyone in the responder field will tell you that it was never wise to test the Responder Gods.

Phrases like "It's been a quiet shift so far" or "Ugh I am bored!" Were quickly met with slaps on the head or various types of small objects tossed at the guilty party.

Today someone must have said all the trigger phrases while also walking under a ladder after smashing a mirror.

The event that would make headlines that evening started out as an EMS call.

A giraffe had been injured at a construction site in Sarah square at an apartment that was under some serious renovation.

Rescue 10 and Medic 7 were first on the scene.

The rescue rig managed to position itself perfectly so traffic would be rerouted around the Medic unit that parked practically on the sidewalk in front of the tarp and scaffold-covered building.

As the paramedic and EMTs went to work on securing the giraffe to a rather long stretcher one of the biggest threats to emergency responders zipped by.

A horse on his cellphone was distracted by all the bright lights and being a bit of a nosey mammal he took his eyes off the road to try and see what all the hustle and bustle was about.

Freaking rubber neckers…

Some shouts from just ahead caught the horse's attention and he turned in time to realize he was about to drive right into a traffic control officer who had been trying to keep cars moving.

The cheetah in the blue uniform and bright yellow traffic vest managed to dive out of the way, thankful for her natural speed.

The horse though seized up and tried to slam on the brake only to hit the accelerator. He let out a loud curse as he swerved the wheel in a direction away from the traffic officer who had now gotten on all fours and darted away, her white cap flying off her head.

There was a loud crash as the horse's vehicle collided with a light pole.

Smoke rose out of the vehicle's engine as the airbags deployed, smacking the horse with such force it nearly knocked him out.

If traffic was slow before it came to a standstill as all eyes went to the tall light pole.

At first, it seemed like nothing would happen, but then the sound of cracking metal filled the street as the large metal pole began to slowly tilt.

"Shit! Move!" One of the medics shouted as he hastily finished securing a strap around the giraffe's neck.

The paramedic and other EMT did not need to be told twice. The problem was moving such a large mammal was not easy.

Fortunately for the medics, they were surrounded by construction mammals who had been watching their friend being treated.

A mismatched herd of construction mammals both large and small hurried over, grabbing onto the stretcher and lifting it up before hurrying away from the danger coming their way.

They managed to get out of the way just as the light pole came crashing down.

Of course, the light pole just smashing into the sidewalk and part of the construction site would have been far too easy.

What happened next was something out of a Hollywood movie or grammatically challenged fanfic.

The end of the light pole smashed into several barrels filled with chemicals that were to be used during the renovation. A spark from the light at the end of the pole landed on several chemical-covered rags and that's when the fire began.

At first, it was just a little stream of white smoke but soon a large black cloud was billowing out of the contraction area, the fire spreading thanks to the exposed wood throughout the apartment building.

Soon the original fire and rescue crews were joined by units from all over the district as the apartment building turned into a towering inferno.

Mammals poured out of the building. Some of the residents of the building while others were construction mammals.

At the same time, the brave mammals of the ZFD headed into the fire. Dragging hoses and rescue kits as they searched through the pitch-black smoke for anyone who may be trapped inside.

The ZFD though was not alone on the scene.

Soon squad cars from the ZPD arrived, trying to form a perimeter around the building.

They soon had the majority of the road blocked off except for one area which was left open so ambulances and fire rigs could join in the operation or transport the injured off-site.

Delta, who had arrived just a few minutes after the tone out for assistance, took a second to stare at the towering inferno. The smoke rising up into the sky.

His eyes then went back to the street and looked at the various ZFD vehicles, his gaze falling on one of the rescue trucks.

Rescue 23 had arrived with a ladder unit and had set up near the entrance of the apartment building.

Delta felt his heart sink into his stomach as he looked around at all the various mammals in ZFD bunker gear, their faces covered by masks to keep the smoke out of their lungs.

Even though he believed in his brother Delta always got a sickening feeling when he saw Rescue 23, the painted dog's brother Bravo having been recently assigned to the rig.

The urge to break away from the perimeter and find the russet mixed painted dog was tempting to Delta but he reminded himself he had to stay on the perimeter and keep mammals out so the ZFD could do their job.

Images of the Grandidier flashed in Delta's mind.

Echo in her bunker gear.

"Come out safe, ok sis?"

"Plan on it!"

Things however had not really gone to plan that day.

Ever since then every time he saw smoke he got a sickening feeling as his stomach knotted.

He had a feeling though this was a shared feeling every time the news mentioned something about a ZPD officer being injured in the line of duty.

Delta's attention was suddenly brought back to the present as the mic connected to his radio started to make a series of tones.

"Attention all units in Sahara Square, we have an active pursuit of a vehicle involved in a Signal 36, robbery, of the Savanna 1st Bank with a confirmed 0 coming in from Savanna Central. Any units not involved with the 10-100 please be 10-51 to the area of Siwa and Farafra."

The dispatcher's voice came across as cool and collected as always but everyone could pick up a hint of anxiousness.

The reason being was Siwa was literally the next street over from the burning apartment building.

This meant that there was currently a car with an armed mammal flying most likely at dangerous speeds down the streets nearby.

All it would take is two turns and they would be-

"All units be advised signal 36 is now confirmed to be on Wadi heading east. All units on the active 10-100 heads up they might be heading your way!"

As soon as the dispatcher was clear one of the supervisors with the ZPD went over the frequency.

"Do we have anyone on an extended perimeter?!"

"Negative sir, all units on primary," Came a female voice.

"Someone on the west end of our perimeter! They are coming your way. Any free units on scene head there and supplement. And someone get out there and prepare spikes!"

Delta turned his head and looked down the street, his heart sinking as he saw several red and blue lights flashing in the distance.

"No time, they are heading this way. Someone try and block the road," Came an angry growl over the radio.

Delta started to do the math.

It would take at least three squad cars to completely block the road and even then if this crazed mammal hopped the sidewalk he would plow right through the ZFD.

There was however another option.

The painted dog darted to his vehicle which was parked at an angle but thankfully pointing in the right direction.

"Stay on the perimeter!" The painted dog barked over the radio. "I'll stop him but when I do come with guns ready."

"Who is this?!" The supervisor came back quickly.

"Officer Delta, Zulu triple 7."

"Delta are you deploying spikes?"

"Negative," Delta said as calmly as he could as he put his cruiser into drive and sped down the street.

"Poles?"

"No sir, going to perform a modified PIT."

"Modified?!"

Delta's cruiser picked up speed and he flicked the lights on, blaring his klaxons to move any mammal dumb enough to get in his way.

The lights coming from the other direction were growing more clear and soon Delta spotted a bright red sports car that was ahead of the pack.

The canine gritted his teeth as he gripped the wheel and braced.

He lined himself up with the approaching car, whenever it moved he would correct.

They went left and he lined them back up, right and he adjusted accordingly.

With each passing second, the gap between Delta and the sportscar closed until-

Service over Self!

Bravo could not believe he was here, none of his fellow firemammals could believe it either.

However, they were all thanks to Bravo's brother which was why the russet color canine was standing before them all.

The painted dog cleared his throat as all eyes went to him.

"Today was a rough day," Bravo began as everyone fell silent. "It would have been far rougher though if it hadn't been for my idiot brother who just had to find a way to make the day all about him."

The crowd began to laugh as Bravo was shoved by Delta who was standing on the bar top right next to his brother.

The mammal who normally wore ZPD blue was still in his uniform pants. The rest of his normal gear though was gone and he was in a light gray shirt, several bandages were wrapped around his neck and one of his arms was in a sling.

Bravo laughed before reaching around his brother and giving one of the straps to his sling a tug, causing Delta to wince in pain before laughing.

"Seriously though I wanna thank this donut muncher-" Bravo continued which was met by a few playful boos from the firemammals while the police officers in the bar began to chant. "For keeping us hose draggers safe."

Bravo then raised a glass of beer and smiled at his brother, "Thanks for having our backs."

"Thanks for putting the wet stuff on the hot stuff," Delta responded as he raised his own glass of beer.

"Alright now get your filthy paws off by bartop!" Echo shouted from just behind her brothers who turned and looked down at the lovely painted female.

"Mom said we could," Bravo teased.

"Well mom ain't here to protect you from the butt whooping Em is gonna lay on you if you mess up her counter," Echo said with a smirk.

Delta and Bravo both looked over in time to see Em carrying a case of beer from the back room. Her dark green eyes going wide at the sight of the two canines on her counter.

"Oh I am not cleaning up paw prints," The otter grumbled. "Trish, you see this?"

A brown bunny appeared just behind the otter. Adorned in a red t-shirt and jeans shorts. Her eyes narrowed at the two canines and without kissing a beat she set the case of beer she had been carrying down and grabbed some coasters from a spot on the back bar.

Coasters began to fly through the air, one smacking Bravo in the face while another clipped Delta on one of his bandaged ears.

"Ack! Someone call the fuzz!" Bravo yelped as he tried to duck as another coaster whizzed through the air.

"Rabid bunny!" Delta joined in as he wobbled in place on the bar top before hopping down with the help of a certain panther from the ZFD.

Everyone laughed at the scene but fell silent as the bunny hopped up on the counter.

"Alright, you trouble makers!" The doe shouted, getting everyone's attention.

Echo looked over at Em who was equally surprised at the doe and her lack of stage fright.

"Next mammal who puts their dirty paws on my bartop gets a coaster to the head!"

There was a soft chuckle that went through the crowd.

"And they also have to buy the whole bar the next round!"

The doe put her paws up in the air, showing off some of the cream-colored fur of her stomach as the bar broke out into a roar of cheers and laughter.

Trisha turned to Echo and struck a playful pose, her paws on her hips as she gave her boss a flirtatious wink.

"Sometimes you just need an enforcer," The doe said which made both Em and Echo snort with laughter.

Trisha held out her paws and wiggled her digits at Echo who stepped forward and helped the doe off the bartop.

"Thanks, cutie," Trisha said as she took a second to adjust her shirt and then smiled at Em. "So when are we doing sex on the beach?"

"You mean learning sex on the-" the otter began but was cut off by Trisha who strolled by and hefted up her box of beer.

"I know what I said Em."

The otter blushed and gave Echo a nervous look but smiled nonetheless as she led Trisha down the bar to continue with teaching the bunny the ins and outs of the 10-7.

The night went by rather quickly for the bartenders of the 10-7. Mainly thanks to the crowd and the continuous requests for drinks.

Echo was impressed with Trisha who seemed rather eager to learn all the different drinks the bar had to offer.

Whenever a request for some kind of mixed drink came in Trisha was on top of it, saying she wanted to learn.

If she didn't know how to make it though she never hesitated seeking out help from Em or Mac who was more than happy to help the bubbly brown bunny learn.

The constant orders though didn't stop Trisha from making friends though.

Trisha had just finished making a Zootopia mule, gently placing a mint leaf on the edge of the tin mug, the condensation securing it so it wouldn't float away.

The doe admired her paw work before sliding the mug over to Mac who scooped up the drink and placed it on a tray, carrying it out into the sea of mammals in uniform.

Trisha smirked, proud of her most recent concoction, before turning to a new arrival at the bar top.

A large water buffalo had made his way through the crowd and found a spot where he patiently waited to get one of the barkeep's attention.

Trisha's bright blue eyes locked with the large mammal and she smirked as she slid over and put her elbows on the counter. She placed her chin in her paws and tilted her head as she eyed the buffalo.

"So what rank are you handsome?"

The buffalo raised a brow, he looked down and made sure he wasn't in uniform. The large creature had gone with a brown jacket over a navy blue shirt that lacked insignia of rank.

"I am..wait how do you know I have rank?"

"You have the essence of authority."

"Well don't most of the officers here?"

"Oh yeah," Trisha laughed as she nodded over at two wolves in ZPD t-shirts in the middle of a chugging competition. Several other mammals stood around them cheering them on. "So authoritative."

The buffalo rolled his eyes and let out a growl.

The two wolves must have realized they were being watched and stopped drinking as they looked over at the buffalo, suddenly looking nervous.

"Plus someone told me earlier you were the Chief of precinct 1 and pointed you out in the crowd," Trisha said matter a factly.

The buffalo let out a snort and shook his head as he looked down at the bunny who grinned mischievously.

"So what will it be, Chief?" The doe asked.

"Do you have Sweet River?"

"We have it all, seriously I almost got lost in the maze Echo calls a stock room," Trisha chuckled as she took a step back and began to look at the illuminated refrigerators under the bartop. "Ewwww... it's an IPA?"

The buffalo chuckled and nodded as the doe produced a large brown bottle from beneath the counter, popping the top with ease and plucking it from the air before tossing it over to a trash can.

The buffalo watched in amusement as the doe poured the dark amber liquid into a large frosted mug.

She slowed the pour, leaving the smallest top of foam at the top of the glass as several bubbles fizzled to the top.

"One large Ewwww for my favorite big bag buffalo in charge,* Trisha said sweetly as she slid the glass across the counter.

"Bogo," The buffalo said as he raised his glass and patted his chest.

"Nope sorry handsome, even if you are a cutie I gotta charge ya the same per drink," Trisha said as she ran a paw through her ears, a mischievous smile on her lips.

"No, I meant my name is Bogo."

"Trisha," The bunny said as she mimicked the larger mammal and patted her own chest. "Me Trisha."

The chief rolled his eyes but smiled nonetheless as he took a sip from his glass.

The doe skipped away, putting the buffalos drink in on a computer nearby before hurrying down the bar to help a few other mammals vying for attention from the bartenders.

The crowd was a thirsty one and the mammals of the 10-7 stayed busy for several hours.

That didn't stop Trisha from checking in with her new favorite water buffalo though.

She wasn't the only one though.

"How's the drinks Chief?" Echo asked as she took a moment to stop and check-in with the buffalo.

"Haven't reached the bottom of my glass," Bogo chuckled before nodding over to Trisha who was busy messing with a drink mixer.

The doe was shaking it rather vigorously until Em strolled by and placed her paws over Trisha's, slowing the doe's movement.

The bunny though smirked as she leaned back against Em and whispered something that made the otter blush before slapping Trisha on the rear.

"Your new recruit has been very attentive," the buffalo commented as he sipped at his drink.

"She is something else isn't she?" Echo chuckled. "I caught her building a box fort in the stock room earlier. She also started writing jokes on a bunch of coasters before putting them out earlier."

Bogo raised his brow and looked at a bright red coaster with the bar's logo currently resting under his glass. He pulled it up and chuckled when he noticed some lovely paw writing on the piece of cardboard.

"Why do the police carry a badge and a gun?"

Bogo raised his brow as he flipped the coaster over.

"Because it's much lighter than a fire hose."

Echo snorted as she read the coaster in Bogo's hoof.

The water buffalo tossed the coaster back on the bar and rolled his eyes in an exaggerated manner.

He then looked down the bar before bellowing, "Trisha!"

The bunny, who was mid pour of a bright blue drink, raised her ears up and looked over in confusion.

Bogo reached over to the coaster and scooped it up before holding it so the bunny could see.

"Really?" Bogo asked in an annoyed manner.

Trisha beamed as she finished pouring the drink she had been working on.

The doe then wiggled while biting her tongue with an open-mouth smile.

Bogo tried his best to look angry but he couldn't help but crack a grin as Trisha turned and wiggled her tail before skipping away to serve a lovely panther in a ZFD firehouse shirt.

"Yeah, I have no idea when she found the time," Echo chuckled as she shook her head, the canine's muzzle cracking into a toothy grin.

"She certainly seems to have energy."

"And then some," Echo nodded in agreement. "At least she focuses that on her work. I mean she seems to be a bit of a pawful but she works hard."

"Really now," Bogo said before taking a swig from his glass.

Echo raised an eyebrow as she turned to look up at the water buffalo.

"Now don't you get any ideas chief, she is mine."

Bogo smirked and let out a soft laugh, "no offense but I don't think bunnies belong in the ZPD."

"Ya never know chief," Echo said as she noticed her bartenders getting a little backed up. The painted canine stood up and gave the water buffalo a pat on the hood. "Anything is possible in Zootopia."

Echo then excused herself to help her staff.

Trisha meanwhile darted through the crowd, taking drink orders, scooping up empty glasses, and occasionally lobbing a coaster at some unsuspecting patron who would roar with laughter.

The bunny weaved through the crowd with ease, showing no signs of concern around the larger and intimidating mammals.

In fact, she seemed to stand her ground. Pred and large prey species alike were of little concern to the small bunny who didn't hesitate to call someone out for spilling their drinks or causing too much of a ruckus.

Echo was even more impressed with how the bunny didn't hesitate to use her surroundings to her advantage.

Being such a small mammal meant she could barely see over some of the tables. Instead, the doe would simply hop up onto the tabletops, note pad in paw, or fresh drink at the ready.

At one point Em spotted Trisha carrying a tray of shots through the crowd, stopping at the edge of a table and looking up.

The otter was about to hurry over and help only to watch the bunny gently kick a large lion's paw.

A confused look came across the large predator's face before he looked down to see Trisha who pointed at the tabletop.

The lion leaned down and offered to take the tray but the doe shook her head before wiggling her waist.

With a bit of a blush, the lion reached down and plucked the bunny up before gently placing her on the table where she began to stroll and pass out small liquor-filled shot glasses.

The orders kept coming in but the bartenders of the 10-7 kept up and managed to make sure anyone who wanted a drink got one.

Eventually, though it was closing time.

The last call bell was rung, tabs were closed out, and the patrons slowly filtered out.

A few mammals stayed behind though, nursing their drinks or chatting as the 10-7 staff busied themselves with the various closing duties.

Trisha was busy pushing a few chairs to the side so she could get a mop and clean the floor under one of the larger tables.

To her surprise, the chair seemed far lighter than it should have been. The bunny blinked, impressed at her own strength until she looked up and noticed a large mammal towering over her.

"Whats up Cheif?" Trisha chuckled as she looked into Bogo's eyes.

"Just thought I would say good night," The water buffalo said as he plucked up another chair with ease, pushing it to the small gathering of chairs nearby.

"Bawwww, does saying good night also include you mopping?" The bunny asked with a smirk.

Bogo blinked a few times as he stared at the bunny who gave him a wink.

"Kidding," The doe said as she grabbed the mop handle and swung it around, and let it rest against her shoulder. "Was nice meeting you Chief, feel free to come back and get your gross IPA anytime"

"Sounds like a plan Rose."

The bunny's eye twitched before she gagged, "Last name basis?"

"It's a habit."

"Well break it for me will ya, you're at the 10-7, you can relax," The bunny chuckled. "So it's either Beautiful or Pumpkin Queen, got it?"

"Pumpkin Queen?" Bogo asked with a laugh.

"Hey, it's canon," The bunny chuckled as she turned and began to mop up the floor.

"What?" The water buffalo asked as he tilted his head in confusion.

"Night Chief!" Trisha barked as she went about her closing duties.

After the last of the patrons had left the bar felt rather empty.

Only a pawful of mammals remained; Echo, her brothers, and the 10-7 bartenders who were working the closing shift.

As Em and Trisha finished cleaning down some of the tables Mac focused on restocking the bar and making sure all used glasses were loaded up for cleaning.

Bravo and Delta busied themselves with chatting and making fun of each other's departments. Unfortunately for Delta, the battle was a little one-sided since Echo of course had to support her firemammals and make some jokes at the ZPD's expense.

Once everything was cleaned, stocked, and prepped Em led Trisha back into their locker room where the two gathered their belongings. The otter had offered the bunny a lift home since they loved nearby one another.

Something Trisha suggested could only lead to some fun stories.

When they returned to the front area the rest of the team had gathered around Echo at the bar as she finished her closing paperwork.

"So how did we do?" Trisha asked as she adjusted her bookbag which looked to be made more of patches than regular material at this point.

"You all rocked it tonight," Echo said absent-mindedly as she typed a few things at the register. "Tips were through the roof."

"Well, that's because the ZPD was here," Delta chuckled.

"Yeah, the ZFD saw how poorly you all tip so we had to step up," Bravo piped up.

Em took a second to explain to Trisha how the tips worked at the 10-7, for the most part they pooled them up and Echo would distribute them equally unless the team said otherwise. This normally meant that someone was not pulling their weight.

"Oh well I hope-" Trisha began, looking a little hesitant.

"Just split it normally Echo," Mac chimed in, giving Trisha a wink. "The new girl really shined tonight."

"Yeah just do the split," Em said as she gave Trisha a playful nudge, causing the bunny to blush.

It was a sign of trust between the bartenders to do this. The doe had proven herself to her new team and it meant more to her than the tips themselves.

"Alright that makes it so much easier," Echo chuckled. "And now onto the fun part, anyone wanna take a guess as to who our winner tonight is?"

Echo shut her computer at the bar down and smirked as she turned to her team, she then reached over and scooped up her bookbag and hefted it over her shoulder.

"Winner?" Trisha asked, her ears going up.

Em chuckled before looking at her new bunny bar mate, "Echo goes through the receipts to see who got the most comments or phone numbers."

"Normally goes to yours truly," Mac said jokingly as the others prepared to leave.

The mammals in the bar all looked around before letting out a laugh which caused Mac to playfully scowl and give them all a rather rude gesture.

"Well we actually have a tie tonight," Echo said proudly as she looked over at Em and Trisha.

"Way to go new girl," Em beamed, "Looks like I am going to have to step up my-"

Everyone froze as a coaster flew through the air and hit one of Trisha's large black-tipped ears.

The bunny blinked in surprise but managed to reach out and grab the coaster before it hit the floor.

On it was a phone number and a name.

Delta.

Trisha blushed as she looked up from the coaster and at the handsome painted canine standing up from the bar. He gave the bunny a grin and a wink before turning to leave.

"Looks like Em has to surrender the crown," Delta laughed as he strolled towards the front entrance.

"Ohhhhhh, you are in trouble now," Bravo laughed as he followed his brother out.

"Well well well, looks we have a new champion," The otter said as she gave Trisha a playful nudge.

Echo watched her brothers stroll out of the bar, shaking her head.

"I swear those two, listen Trish you can just toss that…" Echo's voice faded as she looked over at Trisha who was busy typing something into her phone, her bright blue eyes going from her phone and then to the coaster still in her paw.

Once she was done she tossed the coaster into her backpack. The bunny then pressed a button on her phone's screen.

Seconds later a familiar voice came from the phone.

"Hello?" Delta asked.

"Hey, what are you wearing?" Trisha asked in a sensual manner which was met by laughter from Echo and Mac.

"Oh I am going to regret this aren't I?" Delta asked from the phone's speaker.

"Oh no, I mean only if you hate late-night karaoke video calls," Trisha chuckled as she nodded to Em.

The two strolled towards the front of the bar, waving goodnight to Echo and Mac.

"Sorry, was just looking up how to block a number."

"Blocking me just makes me want to call you more," Trisha laughed.

As the two smaller bartenders strolled out Mac couldn't help but smile before he looked at his boss.

"She is something else I tell ya," the old goat chuckled.

"That she is Mac, that she is."
