Hey everybird! What's up!?

It's been a couple of weeks now, I was feeling a bit down and tired, so I just needed a little mental health break!

But it has been longer still for this series hasn't it!? Yeah that's right! Coming back to one of my most favorite short story series!

And I been partly inspired to come back because of the new Indiana Jones trailer! Looks great and can't wait to see what adventures Indy will have! Also got a big laugh at the end of the trailer!

Now, onto this tale!

To The Big Screen Part 1

Today was a calm and peaceful day in Rio de Janeiro and in a small house at the outskirts of the city lived the famous author, Jewel Yearling, with her husband Blu Gunderson. What very few knew however was that Jewel was also the famous adventurer Daring Jewel, Jewel living a double life so to speak, constantly going out on adventures to recover and save ancient artifacts.

However today Jewel was just the author, in her working room, typing away a new chapter for an upcoming book, Jewel focused, but enjoying her work as she didn't hear someone come into the room. She didn't notice the visitor until he put his wings on her shoulders and a kiss was planted on her cheek.

"Blu…" Jewel groaned as she could hear Blu chuckling. "You know it's not right to seek up on an adventurer like that.

"Sorry, couldn't resist, just came by to give you a small break." Blu replied as he put down a cup of hot and refreshing coffee for his wife. "Thought you could use some refreshment."

"Thanks." Jewel smiled as she gave her husband a kiss back and as she finished with it, the two heard the doorbell ring.

The two came out of Jewel's working room to open the door, seeing the mailman there, with a big smile on his face.

"Good day, Mrs. Yearling." The mailman greeted.

"Hello Pablo, what's with the expression today?" Jewel asked.

"Oh, you will see Mrs. Yearling, I think you'll love one of the letters." Pablo said happily as Blu and Jewel wondered what would cause such happiness as Pablo gave the two their mail and then left.

It was mostly either junk mail or letters from Jewel's fans, that is until the two got to the last piece of mail… It was addressed to Jewel specifically and it was from a movie director…

"Wait… The famous movie director Mr. Harrison…" Blu's eyes wide open as Jewel opened up the letter and read it…

"Dear Mrs. Yearling,

I have recently finished a script for a new movie based on your books, but what's more important is that I will begin the filming in your home city of Rio de Janeiro. It would be a great honor and pleasure if you can lend your time and knowledge to help make not only my movie, but your stories to the big screen.

And I will offer you not only money for your time, but also a big share of the profit when the movie comes out. If you accept, I am beginning the auditions for the main role, that being the daring adventurer, at the address down below. I look froward to meeting and working with you!

From Mr Harrison."

"I'm not sure…" Jewel thought.

"Come on Jewel, this is a big opportunity, your books coming to the big screen!" Blu smiling.

"But Blu… I lived those adventures in real life remember…" Jewel reminded Blu. "I'm afraid the movie is just going to be a mockery… It just doesn't feel right…"

"Well, you'll be there than to fix any mistakes and tell me you have never thought of it…" Blu enticing Jewel as she thought about it… Maybe it would be good for people to actually see Daring Jewel in the movie theaters…

The Next Day…

After a quick taxi ride downtown, Blu and Jewel arrived at the city's movie studios, where the two were guided to where the auditions for the new movie based on Jewel's books would be held. As the two entered on in, they were met by a big wolf, who had a huge smile on as he held out his paw, shaking Jewel's wing.

"Mrs. Yearling, I am so glad you decided to come on down and help me make my movie come true." The wolf, Mr. Harrison, greeted. "I can't tell you how much this means to me, I been a big fan of your books for a long time now."

"Thank you, Mr. Harrison is it?" Jewel replied, taken a bit back ad the wolf nodded his head. "I look froward to helping out as much as possible, so you said you're beginning the auditions."

"Yes, right this way." Mr. Harrison directing the couple to the audition room, where Jewel could see many macaw actresses there for a chance to play Daring Jewel, many different kinds of macaws too… However Jewel knew that only a Blue macaw could play the role.

"Quite a big turnout huh…" Jewel pointed out. "To be honest, only a Blue macaw could play the adventurer.

"You're right, but it'll only be a small difference, I promise I'll keep to the majority of what is in the books." Mr. Harrison promised as the author and director, together with a few others of the leading movie staff sat down and began the auditions…

"Okay, first actress playing the role of Daring Jewel come up and read the provided lines at the "action"." Mr. Harrison began as the first bird came up and began her audition…

Around 15 auditions later…

"I'm sorry, but she's just not the one…" Jewel nervously said as Mr.s Harrison and the movie staff sighed.

"That's okay Mrs. Yearling…" Mr. Harrison replied. "Why don't we all take a quick break and resume in a few minutes.

Everyone got up to relax for a little as Jewel came to Blu, who was relaxing himself with some snacks and drinks.

"Hey Jewel, how is it going so far?" Blu asked.

"Not good…" Jewel answered. "I feel like I'm letting down Mr. Harrison, but at the same time… Those actresses, none of them have the same spirit and eagerness as me."

"Too bad you can't play yourself." Blu joked, but that gave Jewel an idea…

"Wait, what did you just say?" Jewel needing to hear it again.

"I said it's too bad you can't play…" Blu then realizing what he just said. "No… You can't be thinking…"

"Oh I am thinking…" Jewel smiled as an idea came to her head.

A few minutes went by and Mr. Harrison with his staff came back to continue the auditions, but Jewel wasn't there…

"Anyone know where Mrs. Yearling is?" Mr. Harrison asked.

"No idea sir, I think her husband said she has some business to take care of." One of the staff informing the director.

"Well, we can't wait for her, we got to get this movie started on time." Mr. Harrison not having anymore patient as he was willing to just pick anyone to play the most important role. "Alright, next please!" The director called out as the next bird came out…

A female Blue macaw wearing a full on adventurer outfit, with all the gear necessary, a smile on her face as she looked upon the director and staff.

"Dressed up for the part already, I like that, first time that happened today…" Mr. Harrison impressed. "Say… Did anyone tell you that you look like the famous author Jewel Yearling?" The director thinking.

"I get that a lot…" Jewel, now Daring Jewel and not Jewel Yearling, answered. "So are we getting this done or not?"

"Straight to the point, I like it." Mr. Harrison impressed already. "Okay, just read your lines and we'll see if you have what it takes to play the role.

Jewel smiled as she had something else in mind, not just to read some boring lines…

"Why tell you, when I can show you…" Jewel replied, as she then took out her whip and snapping it right at the movie staff, just an inch away from hitting, most of the staff backing away in fright, but Mr. Harrison was overjoyed.

"Now that's the kind of energy I want from an actress!" Mr. Harrison shouted. "Congrats, you got the part!"" Mr. Harrison smiled. "I never got your name."

"You can just call me J." Jewel smirked.

"If only Mrs. Yearling was here to see you." Mr. Harrison sighed.

"I have a feeling she'll agree with me playing her character…" Jewel chuckled as she knew this would work…

Her being a famous author and adventurer… Now getting to be an actress playing her own character. Only thing she needed to figure out was how to have both present on the movie sets…

And I'll leave it there for next time!

I hope you'll all excited to see this series back and well what Jewel will be up to this time!

See everybird later!
