Calamity: 100 Years Later: Chapter 17: Freeing Rudania
Link had just made it into the Divine Beast Vah Rudania after attacking it with Yunobo. He noticed a pedestal similar to the ones on the other Divine Beasts. Link put the Sheikah Slate up to it and heard a voice speak to him. It was Daruk's voice.
"Hey, little guy! Long time no see. I always knew you'd come back. Y'know, I never stopped believing in you! You're here to take control of ol' Rudania back from Ganon, eh? You're gonna need a map that shows you the guts of this place. You can grab the info from the Guidance Stone over there. Now get a move on!", said Daruk.
Link walked over to the room the Guidance Stone was in, destroying the Malice residue in the Divine Beast. It was very dark in the Divine Beast. Luckily, Link found a torch and used it to light up the area. He found the Guidance Stone and put the slate onto the Guidance Stone which dropped a liquid that gave him a map of the Divine Beast.
"Nice job getting a map of the Divine Beast! The terminals that control Rudania are noted by the glowing points on your map. To take back Rudania, you'll need to activate all of the terminals. You got this, little guy!", said Daruk.
The roof of the Divine Beast opened up allowing light to enter so Link could see where he was going. Link noticed the first terminal in the Divine Beast, but it would be hard to reach it.
Link used the Divine Beast map to control the Divine Beast, tilting it to the left, allowing him to activate the terminal.
"There are four terminals remaining! That's the way!", said Daruk.
Link then tilted the Divine Beast back to its normal position, so he could find the next terminal. Link found two metal doors blocked off by leaves. Link thought quickly and remembered he had fire arrows and fired one at the leaves, burning the leaves off and allowing him to use Magnesis on the doors.
Link used Magnesis to open the doors and went inside the room to activate the terminal. Link activated the terminal.
"There are three terminals remaining! All right, let's get movin'!", said Daruk.
Link then walked out of the room and saw a terminal through a little hole in a door. He used a fire arrow to light the torch which opened the door for him. Link then found some leaves on the ceiling and used a fire arrow to burn them. A metal cube dropped down which Link used to block the fire spewing out of the Divine Beast.
Link then tilted the Divine Beast and made it to the terminal and activated it.
"There are two terminals remaining! Just a little more!", said Daruk.
Link then walked outside the Divine Beast and noticed another terminal. Link tilted the Divine Beast to access the terminal. He activated the terminal once he got to it.
"Just one more terminal remaining! Just one more!", said Daruk.
Link then found a ball and tilted the Divine Beast a couple of times so that the ball would fall into the hole it's supposed to go into.
The ball fell into the hole, opening the door to the terminal. Link activated the terminal.
"Nice! That was the last terminal! Now go ahead and start up the main control unit! There should be a new glowing mark on your map. You're gonna need to make your way over to that. Stay focused, little guy!", said Daruk.
Link walked outside the Divine Beast to the main control unit and put the Sheikah Slate up to it. Suddenly, the Divine Beast started to shake and Fireblight Ganon appeared, letting out a horrid screech.
"Watch yourself, now! That ugly pain in the crag is Ganon's handiwork. Thing got the best of me a hundred years ago. Good luck, little guy! Go get 'im!", said Daruk.
Fireblight Ganon swung its sword in Link's direction, but Link dodged it in the knick of time.
Link used the chance to attack Fireblight Ganon with the Master Sword. Link then dodged the fire attacks that Fireblight Ganon used and slashed him with the Master Sword some more.
Then, Fireblight Ganon began to attack differently. But it didn't matter, since Link was able to slash at Fireblight Ganon with the Master Sword and after multiple slashes, Fireblight Ganon was as good as dead.
Link then received a Heart Container to add to his health. Link then walked back to the main control unit and activated it.
"Great work, little guy! I owe you big for this. Because of you, my spirit is finally free. Can't thank you enough! I feel like I should apologize. I was doing all I could to protect Hyrule when that thing got the best of me. Sorry that me resting with the rubble caused such a mess. The good news is, Rudania is now back under our control! That means that our century old Ganon beat-down plan can finally go into effect! I'm gonna take this down the mountain. I'll have a better shot at Ganon there. And then, once you've made your way into Hyrule Castle, we're gonna light that thing up! I want to give you something. It's a special power of mine called Daruk's Protection. It's no good to me now that I am a spirit.. but it might be useful for you. Here it comes!", said Daruk.
Daruk put his hands together and created an energy ball and threw the ball containing Daruk's Protection to Link. Link tested out his newfound power after receiving it.
"From this moment forth, the power of protection from the depths of my soul lives inside you. Good luck, little guy! And give my regards to the princess.", said Daruk.
The Divine Beast then moved to the top of Death Mountain. "Well, that oughta do it! We're set here, now we just gotta wait for the perfect shot! Once Link is in the castle, Rudania will unleash an epic blast! Ganon won't know what hit 'im! Hyrule looks pretty good from up here... even after a hundred years. I wonder how the Gorons fared after the Great Calamity. I still hope everyone is going strong after every-", said Daruk as he noticed someone. It was Yunobo. "Hey! Well look at that! Still going strong, indeed!
Link was then teleported back to Goron City. Link noticed Yunobo and approached him.
"Hey goro! I didn't know what you did in Rudania goro, but I swear I saw Lord Daruk's ghost. I feel a lot braver now! Oh right! The boss wants to see you.", said Yunobo.
Yunobo rolled into a ball while Link walked over to Bludo.
"Hey, it's you! Wonderful work freeing Rudania! You are a truly brave and cunning warrior for a Hylian! Thanks to you, the Divine Beast has returned to its peaceful ways.", said Bludo.
"Say, you happen to know about the Hylian Champion with the sword that seals the darkness?", asked Bludo.
"Why yes, that's me of course.", said Link.
"What? You? Ha ha ha! Don't make me laugh!", said Bludo. "In my house you'll find the Boulder Breaker used by Daruk. Keep it with you in case of an emergency.", said Bludo.
"Will do!", said Link.
Link walked into Bludo's house and took Daruk's Boulder Breaker.
Link then teleported to Kakariko Village via the shrine near the village
