Author's Note: Your eyes haven't deceived you. It's another update! Yay! I'm so sorry that I've been gone for so long since friggin' JULY! A lot of stuff had happened since then. One of them being that my grandmother passed away during my absence on here and that was really rough because she's my last grandmother and grandparent. Now, all of the old folks in my family are gone and it's something that's kinda weird, different, and sad to live through. So, cherish and give love to your grandparents if you still have them around. Another thing that happened to me while I was gone from here was that I had Covid. That wasn't fun, but I'm fine by now. Also, it felt like so many old people that I know keep dying like left and right. A family friend's dog of theirs is not doing good, probably dying, and that's really sad. My own older dog keeps having lumps appearing on his body, but it doesn't seem to hurt him and the vet told us that it's not cancerous or anything like that. He still acts like his normal self, but my mother and I are just worried and concerned about it. I'm not having the best year.

BUT when I saw That 90s Show trailer on YouTube, it actually looks really promising and funny. I think Kitty and Red are really going to make the show so funny. I'll definitely be able to relate to Red more than the kids probably, lol. The trailer encouraged me to write this chapter and keep continuing this story. I can't wait to see it on Netflix.

Enjoy this new chapter, everyone! Don't forget to please leave a review! :)

"LEIA!" DJ and Taylor yelled with fear.

DJ was the first to go after Leia and quickly take her hand that was holding onto the edge for dear life. With DJ holding her hand, Leia tried to swing her other hand so he can grab that as well and pull her in. With all of his strength, he tried to pull Leia back in.

"Come on, guys, help me!" DJ begged and the guys like Van and Mac frantically scrambled to help DJ by grabbing onto his arms and back and pulled along with him.

After some more pulling, they finally managed to save Leia and she's back standing on her legs with them. She was terrified for her life, and felt like for a horrifying moment, that was going to die. Just like that Charlie kid did. But she didn't because her new friends saved her life.

DJ saved her life.

No one ever did something that special or heroic for her like that before.

Relief was such an understatement for how Leia truly felt that she didn't fall down to her death or get injured. It was something much more than that.

"You guys saved me." Leia looked at the boys, being touched.

"Nah, it was mostly DJ," Mac waved it off with humility.

"Yeah, he did most of the heavy lifting." Van agreed.

Leia looked at him. "Thank you for saving my life, DJ." She said softly, meaning every word.

"You're welcome." DJ replied.

Feeling a large amount of gratitude, love, and appreciation, Leia walked over to DJ and kissed him on his cheek.

DJ bashfully looked down, trying so hard not to blush.

When Leia kissed his cheek, it's like she felt a quick rush of electricity sparking in between them. That was something she never felt with any other guy. Not even with a simple touch. She had her very first kiss with DJ.

"Maybe we should go," Taylor said, breaking up the moment between her ex-boyfriend and friend. "I think we all had enough action for one day."

"Yeah, you're right," Leia agreed. "It is getting late, and I know my grandfather just wants to put his foot up my ass that I'm not home right now."

The others started to climb down the ladder so they could go to Chris's van. DJ and Leia were the last ones to go down, and being the courteous gentleman that he was, DJ let Leia go climbed down the ladder first, and then he went last.

Chris took them home while Van was telling him and Roxanne about Leia's near-death experience, but he was exaggerating it. Of course. Leia and others corrected him about how it went. Roxanne eagerly listened to all the details and was glad that Leia was safe. Chris dropped off the others home and the last few stops were Leia's.

"Want me to walk you to your door?" DJ politely offered.

"Yeah, thanks." Leia smiled at him.

"Ugh, make it quick!" Chris demanded. "I don't want to miss anything on MTV."

Roxanne slapped his leg and smiled at the other couple. "Just take your time." She said kindly.

"Thanks, Rox." Leia appreciated.

Then her and DJ walked out of the van together to approach the Forman house.

They were about to enter the kitchen until Chris opened his door.

"Three minutes!" He yelled at DJ.

"Shut up, Christopher!" Roxanne scolded followed by another slap on his arm and she closed the door.

DJ just laughed and Leia shook her head at the couple as they entered the kitchen. It was a good thing that neither her grandparents were there, but she could smell her grandmother's delicious food that was leftover.

"I'd offer if you guys would like to eat with me, but I don't think my grandfather would like it so much that I brought over friends for dinner at the last minute." Leia said.

"That's okay," DJ understood. "Your grandfather is very strict. Why is that?"

"Well, he is a war veteran and takes no crap from anybody. He can be a mean guy on the outside, but I know that deep down, he has a soft spot for me. I know he's just being overprotective. What about your grandparents?"

"Well, ever since my Mom got pregnant at a very young age, they actually disowned her. I never really got to know them and don't plan to." DJ explained.

"Oh, wow." Leia was shocked, not expecting that.

"Yeah, my Mom went through a lot, but she's still the best."

"Mine, too," Leia said and an awkward and uncomfortable silenced followed through. Until Leia was brave enough to speak again and cleared her throat. "Uh, DJ, I'm sorry about that kiss I gave you up at the water tower-"

"No, it's okay. I...uh, heh. I actually kinda liked it a lot." DJ confessed.

Now, it was Leia's turn to blush that she couldn't hide.

"Really?" She squeaked, blinking twice, starting to act all twitchy.

"Yeah," DJ smiled at how adorable Leia was being. "You're so cute."

Leia thought she could've fainted at the major compliment, but tried to hold herself together. She decided to play it off, being cool.

"Yeah, I know." She rolled her eyes, acting ditzy.

"What if I give you an actual kiss?" DJ asked in a low, husky voice that sent her tingles throughout her spine.

"Huh?" She asked stupidly, getting caught off guard.

But Leia knew exactly what he meant. It's just that she couldn't believe what he said and was seriously going to do it.

DJ gently grabbed both sides of her face with his hands and leaned toward to kiss her lips.

Leia's heart fluttered and soared all the way up to the stars. She was almost paralyzed for a second until the more DJ kept kissing her, she relaxed against his touch, and kissed him back.

Leia placed her hands onto his broad shoulders and then snaked her arms to wrap them around his neck.

For a first kiss, this feels really damn good. Leia thought to herself, getting lost with him and being so in the moment...

Until someone she feared and loved the most had to interrupt it.

"What in the blazing hell is going on here?!" Red yelled.

The two teens sprung apart from each other as if water got suddenly dumped on them.

"Hi, Grandpa, Grandma." Leia tried to act sweet for him.

"Don't give me any of that," Red said sternly to her and pointed a firm finger at her. "I'll get to you later," He scowled and then turned onto DJ. Leia gave him an apologetic look while her grandfather glared at him, being almost feral. "Who the hell are you and why in God's name are you forcing your dirty lips onto my granddaughter? You have five seconds to explain yourself, kid. Five."

"W-w-w-well, s-s-s-sir-" DJ nervously stuttered as he backed away from Red as he sauntered closer to him as if he was Red's prey.

"Four."

"I wasn't forcing myself on her-" DJ tried to explain.

"Three."

"I would never do that. I swear!"

"Two."

"My name is DJ and-"

"One. Time's up! Get out of here and I don't want to see your face here ever again!" Red barked.

"Grandpa!" Leia exclaimed, being angry and annoyed at how unfair DJ got treated.

"No, Leia! I'm putting my foot down before this gets any worse!" Red yelled at her, making Leia confused. She didn't know what he meant. He gave a death glare to DJ that made him get so terrified. "Leave! Now! Before your body won't be found! I fought in war! I know how to do that!" He threatened and DJ ran away back to the van to leave.

Once he left, Red turned to his granddaughter and still had his glare. "Now, listen here, young lady-"

"Why did you have to kick out DJ like that and ban him from the house?! He doesn't deserve that! We were just kissing!" Leia defended themselves, being livid.

Red's eyes narrowed down at her. "Did you just interrupt me?"

She realized what she just did because that was something Leia got taught to never do. But when her temper was flaring, she couldn't help herself.

"Yeah, I did." Leia answered, trying not to be so afraid of him, but acted brave.

Kitty got scared and wanted to protect her baby granddaughter. "Oh, no..." She muttered, being scared for Leia.

"You think you're so brave standing up to me?" He taunted her.

Leia gulped.

"I-I used to, but I don't a-a-anymore..." She answered, feeling defeated already.

Red rolled his eyes.

"Leia," He sighed and started speaking to her in a somewhat calmer voice unlike before. "You were late to come home for dinner when your grandmother specifically told you to be here on time for it and you're giving me attitude-"

"I hardly call this giving you attitude..." Leia muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes, but instantly regretted it when she saw the look on her grandfather's face.

She swore she can see a vein popping onto his head.

But it was technically true what she said. Back at home, she'd give her parents a much harder time with an even worser attitude.

"And you're constantly interrupting me," Red continued, getting annoyed. "And you've been making out with a boy under my roof! I'm not tolerating this anymore and going to nip it in the bud right now."

"What do you mean?" Leia asked, worrying about what he'll do. But she had an idea of it.

"You're grounded, Leia." Red answered firmly.

"Wh-what?" Leia asked in disbelief, her jaw opened in shock.

"You broke the rules, now you have to pay for it," Red said simply. "One of the rules is no kissing boys in or around the perimeters of my house and missing curfew. Understand me?"

"But-"

"Understand?" He nearly growled at her.

Leia tried so hard not to make any smart comeback at him.

"Yes, sir." She forced herself to say unable to meet his eyes, so she stared down at the floor.

"Good," He approved and looked at his wife who was standing behind Leia. "I should have done this a lot sooner with Laurie."

"We all make mistakes." Kitty said, hoping he'll understand the second meaning to her sentence. She understood that Leia made a mistake.

"Why did you say that?" Leia looked at her grandfather. "About Aunt Laurie?"

"Well, I didn't know it at the time, but back when your aunt was younger, she was a...uh...how should I put this?" Red looked at his wife for help.

"A tramp." Kitty filled in.

"Right," He nodded. "I didn't look out for her that much, but now I want to do that for you."

"Grandpa, I sort of know about Aunt Laurie's history and I'm never going to be anything like her," Leia insisted. "I was just kissing DJ, it's not like I want to take off our clothes and jump into bed with him or any of my other male friends or the next guy I see."

"That's good, but that doesn't mean me and your grandmother won't stop watching out for you." Red said, still being stern but also caring.

"Now, that we got this settled, why don't you eat something?" Kitty friendly suggested, holding her granddaughter and guided her to the table to sit down. "The food is still warm and it really tastes good if I do say so myself." Then she laughed.

Leia put food on her plate. "Thanks, Grandma."

"By the way, Leia, you're grounded for a week. Do I make myself clear?" Red asked her.

"Crystal."

After Leia ate dinner, she went upstairs to her bedroom and closed the door. She quickly got on AOL so she could tell her friends what happened.

Except she was going to leave out the fact that she made out with DJ. But she might tell Roxanne in private. But what if Roxanne would pass that info to Taylor? How would she feel about that? But what if Leia would make Roxanne to keep hers and DJ's kissing a secret? Would she keep her promise?

The more Leia debated about it, she figured it's probably better not to tell her just yet. She still wanted their moment to replay in her head.

She could still feel the faint touch of his lips onto hers.

Leia logged onto AOL and noticed that her friends' accounts were also signed in.

PrincessLeia: I have an unfortunate announcement to make.

TaylorPWells10846: Yo, what's up?

RoxtheFox: What's wrong, Leia?

PrincessLeia: I'm grounded.

TaylorPWells10846: Are you for real?

RoxtheFox: Why?

PrincessLeia: I broke curfew. My grandpa got pissed at me so I am grounded for an entire week.

TaylorPWells10846: That sucks. You're not kidding that he's a very strict old man.

RoxtheFox: It's been nice knowing you, Leia.

PrincessLeia: I'm going to get cooped up in this house for a whole week. I just might go insane.

TaylorPWells10846: Don't worry. After your grounding, we can all hang out again and do something fun. I hear that Pearl Jam is going to have a concert next weekend.

PrincessLeia: Seriously?!

RoxtheFox: I LOVE Pearl Jam!

TaylorPWells10846: Oh, please. You don't really love Pearl Jam. You just love Eddie Vedder.

RoxtheFox: That's true. He is such a major babe!

PrincessLeia: Totally agree!

While Leia was typing away to chat with her friends online, it was her grandfather who opened her bedroom door.

"Can't you knock?" Leia complained.

He was worse than her own father at times.

"I can, but then I realize that it's my house," Red replied. "I just want to let you know what your punishment is for grounding."

"I'll be doing chores for you?" Leia bluntly assumed.

"Yes."

"Isn't that child labor?" She asked sarcastically.

Red just gave her a look, making her shut up instantly.

"For this upcoming week, I want you to mow the lawn, do the cleaning for your grandmother, clean our cars, change the HVAC filter, and water your grandmother's flowers."

"You do realize that I start my job at Grooves this week?" Leia asked him.

"I know," He smirked. "You can multitask, can't you?"

She let out a long, tired sigh. "Yeah, I can..."

"Good. And tomorrow, I'm going to take out your computer, so you won't have it. I don't want that thing to distract you from work," Red said, enjoying the disappointed and frustrated look on his granddaughter's face. "Sweet dreams."

He left and closed the door behind.

"This week is just going to suck." Leia frowned.

Early in the morning, Leia woke up to go to work. It would be her first day as a Grooves employee. When she looked over at her desk, she realized that it's gone.

"Huh, he really wasn't kidding." Leia muttered to herself.

She got showered and dressed then walked downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast.

"There's my working girl!" Kitty announced proudly. Her grandfather was sitting at the table already, reading his newspaper.

"Hi, Grandma..." Leia greeted in a bored and tired tone.

It was around six in the morning that she had to wake up. By now, she'd be fast asleep. Dreaming about kissing DJ over and over again.

"I made breakfast for you and your parents called. They want you to call them back."

"Let me guess, they know that I'm grounded, right?" Leia assumed.

"Right," Kitty answered. "They just want to have a little talk with you, I'm sure they won't make it be a big deal that you're grounded."

"Of course, they won't. Eric and Donna are the hippiest parents ever," Then Red asked with disappointment. "Where have I gone wrong with Eric?"

"I'll eat first then call them. I need one of you to drive me to Grooves." Leia said as she sat at the table. Her grandmother gave her a plate of pancakes and link sausages.

"I will do it," Kitty volunteered. "I'd love to see Steven again and invite him and Aaron for dinner. Doesn't that sound wonderful, Red?"

"Swell." He dryly replied, staring only at the newspaper. Every now and then, he'd eat his breakfast.

"Thanks, Grandma." Leia said and sipped her orange juice.

"Don't forget about the chores I gave you."

"I got it," Leia remembered and recited her tasks. "Um...clean stuff, water flowers, mow the lawn, wash cars, and change the HVAC filter."

"Good." He approved of her memory.

"Why do you need to change the HVAC filter?" Leia asked curiously.

Red put down his newspaper to stare at his granddaughter from across the table. It was as if his look was, 'are you really that stupid?'

"You hear that, Kitty? Our fourteen year old granddaughter asked us why we need to change the HVAC filter. This is the next generation that's going to run our country." He disapproved and shook his head, continuing to read his paper.

Leia felt stupid suddenly and she didn't know why. She looked at her grandmother for answers who sat in between them. Kitty just gave her an apologetic look and one that also read 'don't worry about it'.

After Leia was done eating, she got up to call her parents. She made the call in the living room where the phone was on an end table of the sofa. When the ringing was done on the fourth time, her father picked it up.

"Hello?" Leia heard his voice.

"Hi, Daddy, it's me. I missed you." She acted sweetly for him, being innocent. That usually would work. Until her mother would have to knock sense into him. She was a lot smarter to fall for Leia's deceptive tricks.

"Hi, Leia," Eric greeted. "I miss you too. Red told me a funny thing this morning."

"Really? I didn't know he can be funny." She played pretend.

"Leia," He said seriously and that's when Leia knew she should quit it. "Why are you grounded?"

"I thought he told you?" Leia was confused.

"He did. Now I want to hear it from you."

She sighed at having to explain. "My friends and I were hanging out and we lost track of the time. That's all."

"And you were kissing a boy. What's that all about?"

"It's just a kiss! I don't know why everyone is making such a big deal out of it!" Leia exclaimed, getting frustrated.

"Honey, we're just looking out for you and-"

"If you really want to look out for me, why can't I be back at home you and Mom? I know everyone is freaking out now if I'm going to be like Aunt Laurie because she was a slut, and I won't be if you'll guys trust me!"

"Leia Katherine Forman, don't you dare call your aunt that ever again." Eric said sternly, with such an anger similar to Red's.

"I'm sorry." She apologized genuinely.

"We don't think you're like your aunt, we also don't want you to become like how she was. You don't know how much she changed since then and what she went through. I'll always still see you as my little girl, Leia. I don't like that you're kissing a boy, but you're grown up now, and-"

"Oh, please don't give me the talk." Leia pleaded.

"Don't worry, I wasn't. I very much don't want to give you the talk just like how you don't want to hear it," Eric assured her with a chuckle and Leia couldn't help but to have a little amused smile on her face. "We just don't want you to do anything stupid or getting yourselves into trouble with your new friends...or with boys for that matter."

"I won't, Dad," Leia rolled her eyes, glad that he couldn't see.

"Your mother and I are still not happy that you were late for curfew. You know better to do that. You will not let that happen again, got it?'

"Got it." She promised.

"Good. Well, I should let you go. Hyde told me that you're going to work for him today."

"You old people gossip a lot, don't you?" Leia asked with a little annoyance, making her father chuckle.

"Bye, Leia." Eric said.

"Bye, Dad." Leia hung up the phone.

Author's Note: This chapter was getting too long to put Leia's first work day in, so that'll be in the next chapter. Stay tuned! :)
