Vader strides out of the medbay room his son is in.
Traitor!
He hears Luke's message through the shared bond. He does have things to take care of and it is the perfect opportunity to do them. Yes, he did leave his son alone to deal with all the medical tests he had to go through now that he was awake. Did Vader do it for pure amusement over anything? Yes, yes he did.
He does it in more of a teasing manner than anything else. This is the last way he knows how to properly show love, by a simple light teasing. Walking to the wing of the Star Destroyer that was personally his, he enters his office. Looking over all of the things he has to do, he decides that he is in no state to do them at the moment. Instead, he goes to his meditation chamber.
Vader sits in his meditation chamber unable to properly meditate with all that has happened recently.
Anakin.
Obi-wan's voice rings out in his head.
There is more you must know. I wish could tell you but am unable, if you were to learn of it now I fear the Emperor may learn of it as well. However, there is also a great deal of concern surrounding it. You will receive a vision, if you see what I am referring to you will understand and the Force has willed you to see it. If not you will have many questions and I want you to know I am sorry in advance that I cannot answer them.
Vader sits with a large amount of confusion filling him.
Leia lies awake in her cell, staring at the metal panels above her. Her thoughts run rampant as she does so. What has become of Luke? Why has there been no interrogation or even execution? What was going on? Why was this all happening?
She shoves those questions aside simply wanting the sweet release of sleep. Closing her eyes she is hit with memories of what had happened in Cloud City. She had confessed to Han that she loves him. She wants to hold him now, she wants his loving embrace with the impending doom to come. Why had the universe had to be so cruel? No, not the universe, she reminds herself. Vader. Vader is the one who is cruel. Him and his Emperor.
Sighing she shoves the thoughts out of her head. Not wanting to be hit with any more questions or thoughts she focuses on one single thing to ease her mind. She focuses on the welcome relief sleep would grant to her. It soon comes and envelops her in its gentle caring grasp.
The vision Obi-wan had spoken about hit him about an hour later. Vader was all too accustomed to what he sees before him, but now. Now it is vastly different he was actually in the environment and not just watching the events flash before his eyes.
He is in a surgical theater a table in the center. There he sees his wife in pain, he wants to look away knowing she is dying but can't.
"Anakin…" He hears her say.
"Anakin's not here Padmé," came a reply from Obi-wan who appears to be holding a baby.
She didn't seem to hear Obi-wan at this moment. "Anakin, I'm sorry, I am so sorry… Anakin, please, I love you."
Even though this is a vision, he is reminded of the pain of her death as he watches her slip away.
She turns to Obi-wan and grabs his arm softly, "There… Obi-wan, there is still good in him. I know there is… still…"
She was gone and Vader fell to his knees watching the events, letting out a small sob as he hits the ground. It was then he realizes he is in his younger body. The body he was in shortly before he was put into the horrible suit of armor he needs to live.
"What," came a voice from behind him. Sounding exceptionally confused. He turns to see a very familiar face.
Leia looks around her and sees what seems to be a medical theater. I feeling of familiarity fills her with her surroundings, she swears she has never been here.
She sees a woman laying on the table who turns to a man standing next to her. The woman grabs the man's arm softly, "There… Obi-wan, there is still good in him. I know there is… still…"
So that man is Obi-wan Kenobi, strange that he looks so young. Leia has never known him that young before, so it makes no sense as to how it is him. A thud on the ground slightly next to her draws her attention. A man is there whom she had not previously seen, the man released a sob as he stares at what is happening before him.
"What," she realizes she said that out loud. Her confusion slipped out with her tone and unwilling words. The man that had fallen to his knees turns and stares at her. A look of shock and recognition evident on his face.
Vader stares in surprise, why is Princess Leia here? There is no way she was actually at these events, she is far too young. A whisper from the Force said that she was there, and is there. Glancing back at the events before him he sees something he hadn't noticed before. Obi-wan was holding one child in his arms, and a medical droid holding another.
Twins, he has twin children. He only knew of Luke, where was his other child? Another whisper from the Force tells him, beside you. Standing he turns once more and is met with the confused face of Princess Leia.
This is not possible, but it is, the Force says so. He looks at the young princess next to him, examining her face with quick eyes. She looks so much like Padmé, how could he not have noticed before? All he can do is step back as the realization of what he has done to his own daughter hits him.
Leia looks at the man in front of her, his eyes searching her face. The man steps back with a look of horror on his face and everything around them shifts, causing the man to fall backward. Now they were in a cell that looks all too familiar, on a metal shelf meant to be a bed of sorts was Leia. She looks at herself knowing very well the events that take place in this location, but every time she has dreamt about them she has never seen herself.
"No," the man now standing at her side gasps.
She didn't even notice the man get up to confused at the moment to have noticed. The door to the cell opens causing her the same fear she feels every time she is forced to relive these events.
"Please no," the man hardly lets out in his sobs. "I understand, please. I can't."
The man falls to his knees again sobbing, Leia puts a hand on his shoulder unsure of what else to do. The touch causes the man to jerk away and stare at her again.
"I'm so sorry," the man sobs.
"For what? I don't even know you, besides this is just a dream. A strange one I will say that," comes her response from where she stood. Unable to look away from the black mass before her younger self.
"This isn't a dream."
"Then what is it?"
