I wish I could hold her like this forever, Yang thought. I need to ease her worries, though.
With overflowing affection, Yang held her girlfriend close. A smile slipped on her lips when Weiss tightened the embrace. The sweet aroma of honey vanilla floated into her nostrils, and Yang recognized that as her girlfriend's scent.
"C'mere," Yang murmured as she reluctantly loosened the embrace. "We gotta show you somethin'."
After Yang whispered that into Weiss' ear, she felt her breath settle onto her cheeks. Slowly, Weiss pulled away and missed her warmth.
As Yang walked away, her hands tenderly glided down Weiss' arms. The blonde ventured into the living room while everyone watched her from the dining room table.
Confused by her purposeful walk, Ruby asked. "Uh, what're you doing?"
Confidently, Yang knelt to turn on their video game console. "Weiss, you know Ruby has her slingshot."
Momentarily, Weiss tried to think of why her girlfriend would say that. A brow quirked in amusement when she couldn't think of many options. Although, she was well aware of Ruby's sick aim.
"Yes?" Weiss said, not sure where her girlfriend was going with this.
Since apparently the video games were being broken out, Ruby plopped onto the spacious couch. Not knowing what else to do, Weiss followed her and sat next to her. Since Blake knew her friend's plan, she slipped inside her room.
Yang continued as she fiddled with the thin controller. "You've seen my left hook."
"It's a rather nasty one, yes," Weiss confirmed, thinking back to when Cardin went flying from the punch.
Yang chuckled since her girlfriend said that rather fondly. "I'm glad we both agree."
To boot her ego, Weiss added. "You're the best boxer around, no doubt."
I'm glad she thinks so highly of me, Yang thought. Based on what Ruby told me, Weiss is a good fighter. I thought for sure maybe she wouldn't think I was the same since I haven't been in anything hardcore like a gang.
"Since we're statin' facts…" Yang said mischievously. "I'd also like to mention that you're the most beautiful girl on the planet."
"Ever the flatterer," Weiss said with a blush.
From the flirting, Ruby groaned. "Yang, get on with it!"
"And Blake…" Yang said as she stood with the tiny remote. "Blake can do this."
Perplexed, Weiss stared at the large television screen. The large title of the game exploded on-screen with a loud eruption. Like that was her cur, Blake walked out of her room with a long, sharp weapon in her hands.
"DustSaber," the faunus explained the title with a sly grin. "Watch how it's done."
While Blake took her position in front of the TV, Weiss gave her girlfriend an incredulous expression. To answer the many answers swarming in her brain, Yang said.
"She's really good. Like… really good."
Confidently, Blake selected a song and casually attached the controller magnetically to the long blade like she'd done that a million times. The sisters sank into the cushions, waiting for the show. Apparently, this was normal in this household.
Bewildered, Weiss said. "Katanas and video games don't mix. This is highly dangerous."
To prove her wrong, Blake struck a stance with the katana poised. "This is only for the experts."
"Where did you even get that?" Weiss asked, wondering where she put that in the apartment.
"My dad taught me," Blake explained as the speakers blared a hip-hop song.
"Ghira's awesome," Ruby had to comment.
Unamused, Weiss asked. "Does he know that you're defiling his honor?"
From the question, Blake had to laugh. "He has the high score."
"Unbelievable."
At last, the song began. Tiny color-coded squares rushed by Blake's form. Only for them to break in half when Blake swung her katana with expert precision. The sharp tip only narrowly dodged the thin screen.
The faunus hit each target, her arms warping to a blur. The girls could only watch in awe.
"Beat your combo, Blake!" Ruby cheered.
She got way faster, Yang observed then looked to her girlfriend, who was on the edge of her seat. I hope she can see what I've been trying to tell her.
In rapid succession, the faunus sliced every graphic square thrown her way. Eventually, she landed a combination of over five hundred strikes. Since that was a personal record, Ruby shouted.
"You did it!"
Only a few squares later, the song ended.
Panting slightly, Blake whirled around and rested the katana by her side. She remained poker-faced as the girls watched her, beyond impressed.
"That's my girlfriend!" Ruby yelled and hugged her.
With a goofy grin, Blake returned the embrace with her free hand.
Confused more than ever, Weiss asked. "What was the point of that?"
Momentarily, Yang gazed at her girlfriend. She knew what the point was based on her poker face. She only wanted to confirm. Before Yang could answer her, Blake replied.
"To show you we aren't pushovers. We can all defend ourselves and fight if need be. We wanted to show you to put you more at ease when your dad does come for you. We aren't some helpless schoolgirls."
With an absurd fake valley girl accent, Ruby said. "We aren't like other girls."
That elicited a few giggles.
Weiss crossed her arms when the laughter faded. "Humans aren't exactly graphics on a screen, you bunch of dunces."
She didn't deny that we can hold our own, Yang realized. Hopefully, now she'll feel better about letting us help her.
Confident, Yang stood. "Better than a bunch of wusses. A little Ruby told me you're a force to be reckoned with."
Weiss watched her girlfriend scoot the coffee table out of the way. "I know a few moves."
That caused Ruby to scoff loudly. "A few?!"
I gotta see what she can do, Yang thought. This'll be a new side of her I haven't seen.
"You gotta show me some, ice princess!"
Briefly, Weiss looked stunned from the request. Like she never comprehended that Yang would ask such a thing. She bit her bottom lip as the gears turned in her head.
Oh my god, Yang thought. She's way too cute.
Truthfully, Weiss was flattered. At first, she thought that Yang might be put-off when she found out about her past. Put-off that she was actually a fighter and not some typical damsel in distress. Now that she was asking for some fighting moves, Weiss didn't know what to think.
"I don't think that would be wise," Weiss finally said.
She knew that Yang was strong. But she probably lacked experience in fighting other people. Weiss didn't want to hurt her.
"I can take a few hits," Yang reassured, referring to her boxing matches. "Don't go easy on me."
Ruby put her hands behind her head as she sat on the couch. "Kick her butt, Weiss!"
"Rubes!" Yang chided. "Whose side are you on?!"
"Oh, I wasn't clear enough?" Ruby asked. "Go, Weiss!"
Like Blake held an imaginary flag, she waved her hand. "Fight."
Since her friends called for it, Weiss asked. "Do I have no say in this?"
"Nope!" Yang said, popping the 'p.'
"Yang," Ruby said solemnly. "Trust me, you don't want to do this."
I should probably take her advice, Yang thought. But am I going to? No.
"I do," Yang said with a challenging smirk. "C'mon, Weiss. A couple of hits."
After a thin sigh, Weiss stood from the couch. "Are you sure?"
"Is my hair blonde?"
From her cocky answer, Weiss rolled her eyes. "Don't complain, then."
"Complain about wha-"
Before she could think, Weiss dove in front of her. Yang was so caught off guard that the next thing she knew, she saw the ceiling lights.
"Agh-" Yang wheezed after her body thumped on the carpet. "Walked right into that one- or fell is more like it."
She only caught me off guard, Yang thought. I need to see what else she's got.
From how quick that was, Ruby and Blake stood in disbelief. They needed to give them more space if this continued. The carpet was like a temporary dojo tatami mat.
Weiss leaned over her girlfriend and held out her hand.
"Kick their legs out from under them. Then push them down once the knees have collapsed. The goal is to get them in a vulnerable position on their back. This way exerts less force so a person with a smaller stature can take down bigger people."
Blake looked enthralled by the explanation. "It looked like you hardly pushed her."
"My strategy is to knock them down first and foremost," Weiss explained as she helped her girlfriend stand.
With a goofy grin, Yang rubbed the back of her head.
"Are you okay?" Weiss had to ask.
"Peachy, show me more."
She can overpower me in her own way, Yang thought. That's actually really hot…
Starting to like the session, Weiss gave her some distance. Her girlfriend was a good sport. Wait, was she blushing?
Casually, Yang rolled up her sleeves.
When all eyes were on Weiss, she struck the same pose as Ruby saw a couple of nights ago. On her tiptoes with her hands slanted in front of her.
"Oh, oh!" Ruby cheered. "Do the flip, do the flip!"
"A flip?" Yang asked, confused.
Tauntingly, Weiss beckoned her over with a finger.
Likely knowing how this would end, Yang took a deep breath and charged with a war cry.
I'll try harder this time! Yang thought, hoping to impress her girlfriend.
Like a gun, Yang cocked her fist back to land a punch on her abdomen. She couldn't stand the thought of marking that angelic face and wanted to avoid her injured wrist. If she was actually trying to take her beloved down, that's exactly where she'd aim.
Before her rock of a fist could land, Weiss used her good hand to deflect the punch. When Yang reeled back to strike her shoulder, Weiss narrowly dodged the fist and grabbed the back of her neck before reeling her in for a kiss.
The sudden lip contact made Yang's body freeze. Those sweet lips. She wished she could kiss her forever.
She can read me like a book, Yang thought as she leaned into the kiss and closed her eyes. She knows I'm turned on.
The daydream Yang found herself in was tragically cut short when Weiss pushed her onto her rear again.
"Another strategy is to simply distract them," Weiss said to the room with a sly smirk.
God damn, my girlfriend's awesome, Yang thought.
Yang stood and dusted herself off. "How long did you have that planned?"
"When you turned on DustSaber."
I knew she knew where this was going!
When Yang pouted, Weiss said. "What? There's nothing off-limits when you're fighting for your life."
I didn't know it was possible to fall even more for her, Yang thought. What the hell? Is she even real?
Since Yang only stared, Weiss asked. "What's wrong? You have that puppy dog look again."
With an impossibly cute grin, Yang trapped her in a crushing hug, which elicited a tiny squeal from Weiss. The cute sound she emitted almost caused Yang's jaw to drop. It was too adorable!
"Why you- let go of me this instant!" Weiss tried to squirm out of her overbearing grip, but her arms were locked in place.
From the display, Ruby and Blake released a round of giggles.
"This is my new strategy!" Yang teased and noticed it might be hard for Weiss to breathe due to her struggling lungs. From that, the blonde decided that was enough and gently set her girlfriend down. "You kiss me, I bear-hug you…"
Weiss looked like she was about to explode from anger.
"... You're lookin' a little yangry there."
"You have chosen death!"
Lyrics from Redo: "Our resolve is so much stronger. Now that we are both together we can both emerge into this world we have made. I pray it won't fray!" "Though we may end up fighting our way against fate."
DustSaber is BeatSaber LOL.
Stay dandy,
