Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts does not belong to me. It belongs to Square Enix and Disney.
Author's notes: Hi! Well, this is my first offering on or anywhere, actually. It is a drabble, inspired by the prompt from scarvesandhats, which is actually a Remus X Sirius community livejournal. But I couldn't resist the prompt, it was just too beautiful. Please enjoy!

Season of Scars
It was the season of fall.
Roxas didn't like Autumn. It was too bright, with its oranges and yellows and reds, and the browns of the barks of the trees. It was too lively because of the scampering animals, preparing for their hibernation with zest, gathering nuts and whatnots.
It was the season when lovers whispered sweet nothings, and the season when they huddled together against the cold, giggling like schoolgirls. It was the season of spice and its sharp tang on his tongue, when everybody had a warm home to go home to and mothers to cuddle them, offering soup and a warm fireplace.
Roxas hated all of that.
But most of all, he hated Autumn, because it reminded him of Axel.
The red leaves dancing in the trees reminded him of Axel, dancing, mocking his moodiness. The fire burning in the pubs as he sat amongst drunken men reminded him of his zest for life, full of laughter even when Roxas was snappy and cruel. The lovers whispering secrets into one another's ear reminded him when Axel used to hold him like that, against his stoic silences and wrapping his scarf around Roxas' neck.
Lord, even the squirrels attacking one another for the nuts reminded him of Axel's bad-ass attitude, picking fights with Marluxia and Larxene. He would never stop that, claimed it gave him a thrill, fighting with the flower-boy and the sadistic bitch.
Now…Axel was gone. And Roxas will never be able to find him back.
Sora turned and walked down the path, amongst the reds, oranges, and yellows. The reds stood out the most.

So…I know it is not particularly good, and too short. But I would love to hear what you think! Please drop a review even if you did not like it, I appreciate it ((:
Just in case you are curious, the prompt was this, just replace Christmas with Fall:
The Atheist Christmas Carol
it's the season of grace coming out of the void
where a man is saved by a voice in the distance
it's the season of possible miracle cures
where hope is currency and death is not the last unknown
where time begins to fade
and age is welcome home
it's the season of eyes meeting over the noise
and holding fast with sharp realization
it's the season of cold making warmth a divine intervention
you are safe here you know now
don't forget
don't forget I love
I love
I love you
it's the season of scars and of wounds in the heart
of feeling the full weight of our burdens
it's the season of bowing our heads in the wind
and knowing we are not alone in fear
not alone in the dark
