You and Shoko were taking a small break together outside as she smoked. "Wow I can't believe it's been seven days and you're staying!" Shoko smiled at you, knowing very well you'd want to be here more than anywhere else. Though she didn't understand Principal Yaga's expression when she told him that you wanted to stay.
Y/n is not going to meet the higher ups soon, nor reveal her healing abilities. She'll be safe… Shoko said to herself, receiving the same hearing as Gojo did too.
"Yeah, I can't trade this up! I'm making better money, I have a place to stay, and I don't have to think about food! I feel happy! Not to mention that I haven't encountered a curse user yet either." Everything in your life was going great. You've never felt a positive change in your life until now. You're never going back, like heck, you'll do anything to stay in this position. "Thanks for buying me a phone too! Now, I'm like everyone else!" The only contacts you had were Shoko, Nanami, and even Gojo's. The reason why Gojo was in there was because he snatched your phone out from your hand to personally type it in for you. You didn't delete it since it might come in handy someday.
"No problem. I can't have you without a phone if you're gonna work with me." Shoko blew a puff of smoke into the air.
"For a doctor, you really love to smoke." You snickered since it didn't make sense to promote good health and body yet Shoko wasn't trying to stop her smoking habit. Everyone knows smoking can kill you.
Hearing your statement, Shoko smashed the bud on an ashtray. "Well, I'm trying to quit or lessen it but it's not working." It felt good to hit it for a little bit yet her lungs refused to take it in so she had to stop. She's not going to operate with dead lungs.
You squatted against a pillar and talked about what's going on in your head. "I never thought how scary a hospital can be. Medical staff see everything! And it tears my heart apart. One day a patient is fine from their illness then the next they're dead. It made me value my second chance of life because I'll never know when I'm going to actually die by the hands of my capture." It's a scary thought after witnessing so much with Shoko. It's not necessarily an eye opener but another reality check. There's a string inside your heart that wants to plop your tears into their cups so they don't have to suffer anymore. As much as you know, using your tears for others could backfire. Nobody asked to be ill; they still want to live a longer life and find their own peace.
"Yeah, the hospital really shapes you up. It's not for the weak whatsoever. It makes you think a lot about life and death. We're no superheroes. We save as many lives as we can. We're always discovering more about incurable diseases to improve everyone's lives. Come on, let's head back inside now."
As Shoko's assistant, you traveled hospital to hospital with her. You did her paperworks and nothing more than that. She didn't want you to heal people because science and jujutsu won't be matching up any time soon. Shoko didn't want to cause a miracle and get hounded by the news outlet. It's best to keep your healing abilities hidden.
Going inside the building, another staff member under Shoko's team directly looked at you since you're her assistant and asked a small favor. "Hey, do you think you could buy some desserts at a bakery nearby? One of our nurses is leaving and when I get on my break to buy it, their shift ends."
Shoko forgot all about the nurse's departure as she drowned herself in work. "Oh, dang…"
You and Shoko made eye contact for a split second and you didn't know what to do. You couldn't willingly leave the building without Shoko, but now that they wanted to use you because you don't work on the floor, you're stuck.
"It's only a three minute walk! Nothing too long!" The worker said, trying to be as convincing as possible on the behalf of the leaving nurse.
Shoko internally sighed and stared outside the window to see how busy the surrounding area was. It should be ok for y/n to go. Curse users normally attack when there's less people out there, and it's only a three minute walk which wouldn't hurt? Still I don't want her to go. I wonder if they asked others…
Before Shoko could ask the medical staff a question, you spoke up, not wanting to hinder other front line workers if you're not doing anything. "Yeah, that's fine. I can totally do it!"
"Yay! Thank you very much!" The worker gleamed and skipped away.
Then Shoko turned to you with a grim look. It was all in the eyes, alerting you that death was near. She whispered in a hush tone, "Y/n, are you crazy? I'm not going to let you out of my sight!"
You gave her a reassuring smile to ease her tension. "No, I'll be fine! It's still daylight outside so there's nothing you should be worried about! I'll come back in one piece!" You didn't think too much of it since it's a short walk. You're going to be in and out and on your way back to the hospital.
Shoko bit her bottom lip, still contemplating. You were too kind to do this when she was going to find another way around it. "Call me if anything happens okay?! I'm worried about you." She grumbled but allowed you to go since the worker will remember it's your task if you failed.
"I'll be fine! Don't worry! Your number will be on speed dial."
For some odd reason, you weren't that scared of going by yourself. It made you a bit excited because you can finally be on your own without having to drag others with you. You felt bad to be guarded when they could be doing something else. You knew one day, you'll get to use a cursed tool to fight for yourself.
Making your way to the bakery, you followed gps since you're not going to remember verbal directions only the item orders. Your eyes flickered from your phone to your surroundings as you still needed to be consciously aware of where you're walking. "Oh, it feels so nice! What a good day to be out!" The breeze was perfect and the sun wasn't too hot where you were melting in your clothes. It was the temperature that made you want to sit out in the sun and get vitamin D without sunscreen.
On your phone, you were so close to your destination until you felt a rough tug on your arm, causing you to break away from your route and fall on the ground.
THUD!
You landed face flat on the ground with your hand still gripping the phone for your dear life. Your hair flew all over your face as you took this opportunity to scan your surroundings. Shit! I must be in an alley or something. It smells like ass and the ground is nasty too. I hope I didn't fall on trash water. But I'm definitely here because of the curse users finding an opportunity to strike.
You sluggishly sat up and lifted your head at them. It was a whole group consisting of five curse users. You already knew what they're here for. They were so kind enough to stick their weapons into your face as if you could outbeat them in brute force, but you don't have negative cursed energy for that. "Wow, you have cute shikigamis here… Though your weapons are sharp enough to hurt me, you can't. You need me alive if you want my tears. However, you're not going to get it. You all should know that by now—"
You received a hard blow to your face as the force knocked you back to the ground again. Blood pooled in your mouth, feeling it drip off your lips and to the cement. God it hurts. It's throbbing so hard. I think I'm seeing white dots. Oh god… At least it's not dislocated nor did I lose a tooth in the process, but still I'm unhappy with this situation.
You did your best to compose yourself after the hit. You slowly got right back up and spit the blood in your mouth out.
"Huh? Hey, who are you?!" The group of curse users turned around and stared at the person waiting at the entrance of the alley.
"Who are they talking to?" Their words piqued your interest as you stared in their direction to find your one and only knight in shining armor, Nanami. It's been a hot minute since you last saw him. What was he doing around this area?
Nanami didn't say a word to them as there was no need to waste his breath. He quickly turned the table and knocked them out in a flash. Your eyes widened at his speed. He was your savior in disguise, always aiding you when you're in trouble. Though you never called for help, Nanami was immediately there for you.
Nanami pushed up his glasses and squatted to your level. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you? Why are you by yourself? Aren't you supposed to be with Shoko?" He had so many questions for you because he didn't expect to find you here. His hand carefully brushed your hair out of your face, revealing a bruised cheek and blood stained at the corner of your lips as his thumb slightly tugged your soft lips to get the blood off. Nanami felt his heart twinged in agony. He didn't like how hurt you looked. In his mind, you were like a dewy-eyed deer who didn't understand fear or the concept of hunters and death. You roamed carefree like no arrow was going to shoot in your direction.
Your heart skyrocketed from his sudden touch and your ears turned completely red. His callous fingers were warm and gentle. You forgot how caring and sweet he was as you don't normally see him often. Having him close to your face, you could tell Nanami was severely concentrated on your aching cheek as his hand cupped it. If his knitted eyebrows could imitate his wrath to kill, he would probably kill the curse users right now but he knew he shouldn't do it.
"Nanami," You smiled brightly at him despite your outer appearance. It did hurt just a tiny bit to keep your lips stretched as it poked at your injured cheek. "Are you sure you're not my guardian angel who's always coming to save me when I'm in danger?!"
"To break it to you, no not necessarily." Nanami stuck out a hand and pulled you back on your feet. "I'm only around the area because I'm on a mission with Itadori."
"Oh, you mean Gojo's student!" You remembered that kid. He would always greet you whenever you ate at the small cafeteria or when bumping into him in the halls. He was a sweet, bubbly boy.
"Yes, his student. It's just a mere coincidence crossing paths." Nanami said it nonchalantly that you wished you didn't hear it.
Then you lost your smile, turning it to a bitter, compressed lips. "Ouch. You should've lied to me."
"I apologize. But you didn't answer my questions." Nanami wondered why in the world were you out here alone? You were supposed to be working, not be on the streets where users could kidnap you in a snap.
Fixing your messy hair, you responded to his dire request. "Yes, I'm okay now that you're here. Thank you by the way. Um, no I'm not really hurt besides what you saw in my face, that's really it. Well, long story of why I'm here is because…" You recapped your conversation to Nanami and he couldn't believe it.
Nanami pitched the bridge of his nose due to your carelessness. He exhaled a deep sigh as he collected his thoughts. "You really are a handful. Do not be so dangerous, y/n. A situation like today might occur again if you're by yourself."
You huffed in spite as your arms were crossed. "I wouldn't be helpless if I had a cursed tool on me but I don't. If that's all we have to talk about then I'm gonna get the pastry—"
Before you could walk past him, Nanami stuck his arm out causing you to halt in your spot. "I'll take you there and take you back to Shoko. It's best that way, and you're not going to object." Nanami put his hands on your shoulders and pushed you out of the alley and back on your path.
"Wait! But what about your mission?! Don't add me to your list!" You didn't know the level of importance of his mission, but you didn't want to be the reason why he couldn't finish it.
"It's fine. It's all close distance from one another."
"You're such a gentleman for doing this when you don't have to."
/
After grabbing the pastries, Nanami walked you back to the hospital where Shoko paced around until she spotted you.
"Y/n!" Shoko ran towards you with bulging eyes. She was stressed and worried about your wellbeing as it took longer than usual. Shoko calculated that it should've been like a ten minute course, but it took a whopping thirty five minutes in total. She was losing her mind as she's responsible for you.
"I'm safe because of Nanami!" You spilled the beans so she wouldn't have to pry it out from you.
Shoko's eyes flickered to Nanami and gestured him to come closer. "I'm so glad you were there to help her, but now your pretty face is ruined!" She grabbed your face and turned it to take a good look at the bruise. The skin was swollen and red while some hints of purple were surfacing. "Is it tender?" Her finger lightly pressed against your cheek as you hastily winced in pain.
"Yes…."
So then Shoko immediately used her curse technique to heal your bruise and any unknown injuries that she couldn't see with her naked eye. "You know what, Nanami, you're going to take her with you. It's the best option to keep her safe since she was just attacked. I don't want to risk her life and the lives of others if they find out she's here."
"Shoko, I'm on a mission right now. I can't possibly take her!" Nanami didn't like the idea of dragging you with him because he didn't want you to get hurt again.
"Well, you figure that out. You're the best option to protect a person right now. I'll see you guys later." Shoko went back inside the hospital after taking the pastries you bought.
Nanami sighed and you felt like a nuisance for him and Shoko. It made you a bit sad that this whole ordeal became a big issue. "I'll go home so I'm not bothering you or Shoko. I'm sorry…"
"Well, you can't walk back home as it's a far distance. I'm not going to let you take a train or cab either. Ijichi is currently busy too so I can't ask him… So in the end, you have to come with me."
"If you say so…"

Nanami informed you about his mission with Itadori. Both of them were dealing with a special grade cursed spirit Mahito who could reshape souls and disfigure his victims. Now, the cursed spirit has a student wrapped in this mess too. It sounded so complex for your brain to process.
"We need to get to the school right now! Itadori is there, possibly facing the special grade!" Nanami grabbed your hand and forced you to run at his speed. You were so happy that you weren't falling behind at his pace because you're used to running.
"Wow! My first unofficial mission with Nanami and Itadori!" You exclaimed in both excitement and unsettled fear. To hear that a special grade cursed spirit could do all of that didn't make you wanna step near the school. You knew you're way safer to stand outside the gates than to be touched and disfigured in an instant.
"Nope, you're staying outside the school! I'm not letting you join. It'll be too dangerous for you and I'm not going to have you risk any of it!" Nanami was determined to keep you safe and out of harm's reach because if you were to be touched by the special grade, you're a goner since there's no way to revert them back to their physical form. So he has something to lose. You barely know anything about jujutsu and you're loved by curse users.
"For once, I agree with you!"
As you two made it to the school, Nanami commanded you to stay there as he went inside to fight off mutated humans since they were blocking his way.
"Jeez, that's scary! It seems like they're being controlled against their own will…" Looking at the mutated humans freaked you out. They were in an awful state and you even had thoughts about your tears saving them. You're not too sure if they can be saved if their soul was reshaped. It's hard for you to tell. Nonetheless, you received goosebumps as you already knew you're unfit to be a sorcerer. This wasn't your calling. You liked it better to be in the background than on the front line.
Then a loud sound caught your attention as you looked up to see Itadori leaping out a broken window to break the next door window to come back in. "What in the world?" You also saw an extended limb trying to attack him in the process. Your chest tightened thinking about what Itadori must be facing. Even if he's a sorcerer, he's still a child who hasn't experienced much in the world besides exorcizing curses. You wanted to help Itadori due to your compelling feelings so you did.
You ignored Nanami's wishes and ran past him as he yelled at you to turn back. He didn't like how careless you were being when he told you about the special grade curse.
"Y/n!"
You were going to see what you could do to help Itadori in any way. After reading more about jujutsu, you were wanting to demonstrate it and today could be the day. Though you should've felt this way when you were ganged up by curse users, the urge wasn't there until this situation occurred.
Running up stairs and through hallways, you finally found where Itadori was by all the ruckus being made. Plus, your eyes could now see residuals which made your travel shorter. You stuck your head out enough to still be hidden but still see what's going on. You didn't want to catch their attention since you didn't have a plan; you just ran up there because you felt like helping.
You watched Itadori cry, holding a mutated human in his arms as it seemed like they were friends before this incident. Then you spotted the special grade that Nanami was telling you about. He looked human but represented evil from his aura.
Should I jump in? I didn't really grab anything to defend myself… As you contemplated, your ears heard the mutated human muttering his last words to Itadori.
"…why? Why me?"
"Junpei! I'm going to save you no matter what! You don't deserve this… Please!" Itadori's voice cracked as his raw emotion tugged at your heart. Beneath the sunset blazing down on him, you saw his veins protruding from his clenched fists and his eyes were filled with rage. He was a tidal wave ready to attack in full strength.
A few seconds passed and his friend Junpei took his final breath in the warm arms of a person who valued him and desperately wanted him to be saved from the misery which bestowed upon Junpei.
Poor Itadori. I know how it feels to lose somebody too but unlike you, I wasn't there at their side to save them or say my final goodbye. You're truly lucky, Itadori…because you have me here. You were going to save Junpei since you're here and was emotionally swayed by Itadori's unconditional love. You didn't need to know the whole story as you could piece it together from what Nanami told you.
You stepped out from the shadow and announced your presence. "Itadori, I'll try to save him."
Itadori looked at you in disbelief yet in denial. He wasn't sure what to believe. "How can you? He's dead!"
"No, she can't! There's no sorcerer who can undo what I did! Like what the kid said, he's indeed dead." Mahito taunted him, trying to tramp Itadori's heart.
"Well, you don't know much about me so I understand that you're scared." You crouched in front of him, tilting your head to the side. "But I am a healer with an incredible ability. Trust me, okay? I know you're stressed and overcome with anger. It will be okay." You touched his arm to alleviate the dark cloud hindering his spiritual core. You were confident in yourself and knew there's a loophole to save his friend.
"Who are you? You're not 7:4. Another sorcerer to fight me? You don't even look like one." Mahito turned his attention to you since Itadori wasn't enough to enthrall him.
You decided not to give in but focus on Junpei's dead body. "You deal with that thing, Itadori. I'll be right behind you."
Itadori straightened out his shaking lips and let himself be consumed with dark thoughts as he turned to Mahito.
Quickly, you forced a crystallized tear out and slipped it in Junpei's mouth.
"Come on! It has to work… It can revive the dead within 24 hours after dying from causes besides a natural death! It should restore his body back to normal as it can do it." You bit your lips, frantically looking up and down at Junpei's appearance.
"You stupid woman! He's not coming back! Don't waste your breath on him!" Mahito shouted as nobody couldn't undo his beautiful creations. It was one fine art piece that couldn't be replicated
"Keep your eyes on me!" Itadori agitatedly retorted and continuously punched Mahito.
You kept your attention on Junpei, praying that it'll revive him and revert his appearance. "Please! If I couldn't save my mentor, let me save this child!"
Suddenly, Junpei's skin color changes as well as his figure. Before your eyes, he was morphing back to his original form. He didn't look like a Pokémon character anymore. It was a fast transition like you're watching a time lapse of something growing. Then he hit his final stage and became a regular boy again.
"Itadori!" You squealed in ease as a smile curled on your lips, looking at his direction. You're astonished by this amazing miracle and knew your tears were untouchable.
Both Itadori and Mahito stopped their fight and saw Junpei coughing yet still unconscious. Neither of them could fathom what you did, but Itadori was relieved while Mahito didn't like you. Though Mahito found you really interesting, he wasn't fond of how you're able to rival his ability. He needed to know more about you.
Mahito sneered in a nasty manner and laughed, feeling thrilled to make you his new target. "Woman, you're really testing me!" He charged at you, but Itadori intercepted him down the stairs and yelled for you to run with Junpei.
You threw Junpei over your shoulder as he wasn't too heavy for you to carry and bolted out of the school. Junpei made small grunts, assuring you that he's alright.
"I'm so glad he's okay!"
You breathed laboriously from your mouth when Junpei's weight was wearing you out. You were good for a couple of minutes, but now it's hitting you where your shoulder hurts.
This aching pain means I need to hit the gym and get myself fit! I can't stay weak if I get into another similar situation like this! You said to yourself.
Finally, you made it to the front gates where Nanami finished his work. You saw Nanami wiping his blade clean from the mutants' blood and it broke you just a tiny bit.
Putting down Junpei, Nanami walked towards you with an upset expression. He wasn't fond of your disobedience because it would have cost your life. He didn't utter a word so you did first.
"It looks like you're okay, which I'm glad! Also, Itadori's friend Junpei was turned into a mutated human and is now back to its original form." You pointed at him and Nanami glanced, clearly seeing he's a human boy rather than an animal.
"Wait…" Something wasn't adding up in Nanami's head. Firstly, you said Junpei was reshaped. Now you're showing him in his regular human form. "What did you do?" He didn't want to jump to the conclusion that you were the one who turned him back but there's no other way.
You hesitantly nodded your head, breaking eye contact with him. Your heart pounded loudly in your chest as you're a bit frightened. Your body felt paralyzed from the neck down. You didn't want anyone to know this part of your healing power but it's either you tell him or Itadori tells him. "Yeah… I did. It saved him."
Nanami noticed the change in your behavior. You looked so alarmed like you feared someone was going to jump out from the bushes and attack you. "Y/n, I'm not mad at you, but we'll talk about this later. Please stay here until it's all over." He rubbed your arm and left.
Your lips quivered and you exhaled deeply, falling on your knees. The fear of letting people know your true power was hard to swallow down. It's a consequence you knew all too well, and you couldn't risk it being repeated for selfish purposes. You didn't care if they knew you could heal like a regular sorcerer, but they'll come after you once they hear you can restore a person back to its original state or revive the dead in 24 hours. You would rather die than live a torturous life to please others. "It should be okay, right? I…trust Nanami. He hasn't shown malice but only kindness. I shouldn't doubt his character over my scared thoughts… Calm down."
After a few minutes, you pulled yourself together from the short lived fear casting your heart. "I wonder how the boys are doing…" You followed the sounds of clashing noises.
You stood behind a tree as Nanami was struggling to actually hurt Mahito, but Itadori was able to cause Mahito to bleed. The terrifying part about the special grade curse was that he could manipulate his body into any shape. You knew Mahito could demolish a war if he was thrown into it. The soldiers would see drills from his limbs then the next second it'd turn into a hammer. It's unpredictable.
Then you watched how Mahito splitted Nanami and Itadori up. Itadori had to face the mutated puppets while Nanami worked on Mahito.
"This doesn't feel right. He threw off Itadori to have Nanami by himself! Now it's my time to shine and test my book knowledge!" Oddly enough, it filled you with enthusiasm as you knew you were going to be useful. You're not a sorcerer but after learning more about jujutsu, you knew positive energy can exorcize cursed. You were going to utilize your uniqueness to your advantage.
"Where should I go?!" Your eyes spotted a gym close in range as you ran over there. Pushing the ajar door, you encountered unconscious students. You didn't know what happened but you'll attend to their wellbeing later.
You jumped over bodies to get to their storage room and found a rope and a bow and arrow from their archery class. Sadly, it's only one arrow but it'll do. "Yes!" Your brain hotwired an idea which will make the success rate climb higher.
Coming back to the tree you watched their fight, you flickered your eyes to Nanami and your hands working on tying the rope to the arrow. "That curse is going to die today! Don't you worry, Nanami… I've got your back after countless times of you saving me!"
You triple knotted the rope beneath the sharp tip of the arrow, and you smiled from this. Pulling the string back on the bow, you leveled it to your eyes and held the position. "Whew…." You breathed quietly, calming the rhythm of your heart. Holding your bow and arrow gave you a flashback to when you were with your mentor…
"You need to hold it like this! If you don't then you're going to end up shooting somewhere else or the ground! You want to kill your target!" Your mentor scolded you as he fixed your posture from behind. He pushed your arms out and lifted them higher, adjusting how you held the weapon and looking at your hand position. "It's like using a gun I showed you. Now…"
Your mentor slowly walked to a far tree as his feet movement was minimized due to his restricting kimono. Then he swiveled around and a big grin stretched his scarred lips. You couldn't see his eyes from where you stood as his black bangs covered them. "Come and shoot this apple off my head!" A shiny red apple was placed at the center of his black hair. He trusted you even if it's your first time using a bow and arrow. He will make you a prodigy.
A bittersweet smile appeared on your face. You couldn't believe at this time, an old memory wanted to resurface. Maybe it's because it's been ages since you've held a weapon and finally knew how to utilize your power. "Oh mentor… you were insane to put an apple on your head when you knew I didn't want to shoot. He's so lucky I aimed a little higher than his instruction or else it would've been a headshot, not an apple-shot."
Stretching the string back as it rested on your cheekbone, you closed one of your eyes as you imbued your positive energy in it. Though the jujutsu book said it takes practice and concentration to imbue energy into an object, you were going to get it correctly to aid them. "I came here to grow, and this will be my first step!" Being born with an abundant amount of positive energy and little negative cursed energy, you were destined to be a great healer that pushed the boundaries of life and death.
The moment came when Mahito locked Nanami to the wall with his reshaped hand, you released the arrow, allowing kinetic energy to transmit and propelled it with high velocity to your target: his arm. Hastily, you dropped the bow and grabbed the end of the rope, launching yourself forward as you danced in the air.
"AH!" Mahito dropped Nanami to the ground as the impact of your arrow did damage to his cursed body.
What in the world is happening?! Didn't I tell y/n to stay put? Now she's joining in? Nanami was shocked to see you charging forward. You were a different person he remembered meeting.
Mahito's attention was still on the mysterious arrow protruding from his arm. "Damn! This arrow has positive energy!" Before he could chop it off and let a new arm regrow, you already zipped your way to him. Once your feet touched the ground, you waved the rope in circular motion to manipulate the other end as it wrapped around Mahito's neck.
Mahito choked, delaying an attack as he didn't know who was behind this. It wasn't Itadori nor 7:4 but none other than you.
You wound the rope in your hand, shortening the length as you got closer to him and looped yourself underneath the rope a few times, creating multiple twists. "This stupid woman has you under her grasp!" You grumbled, imbuing more of your positive energy into the rope as Mahito hissed. You saw how his neck was sizzling from the rope cutting its way into his flesh. It resembled a hot knife cutting into hard butter.
Nanami didn't waste his opportunity to help you. He gripped his blade and ran over to swing at him.
"GAHHHH!" Mahito felt it. He felt what it meant to be scared. Not only was Itadori one of his enemies he didn't like. You were added onto his list too. He knew his head was going to be decapitated if you kept pulling and twisting the fiery rope.
In the split second of Mahito changing his form, Nanami was quick to grab you after noticing Mahito's eyes turning white. He sliced the rope in one motion in case you wanted to drag it with you then wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you far from Mahito.
BANG!
He produced elongated spikes out of his skin. It expanded 8 meters long and luckily enough, you guys escaped to 9 meters from the transformation.
"Oh my god…" You were out of breath. One moment you were strangling Mahito and the next, you were saved by Nanami who pulled you away from the stealthy attack. Your heart beated erratically in your chest as you heard it in your ears.
"Y/n…" Nanami said your name in a mixture of astonishment, confusion, and anger. He didn't know how to select his swirling emotions. All he knew was that you tested him today by the way you let a curse user hit you and afterwards turned into a skilled warrior. He had more questions to ask but it wasn't the right time yet. "You know how to fight?"
"Yes, I do. I just never learned the proper way of using jujutsu and I never had a cursed tool either. If I knew how to imbue my energy into objects then yeah I wouldn't be on the run all the time and I would fight back! Thanks to you guys, I'm able to learn and grow. I could be a great sorcerer like you but I'm not into that life…"
"Do I actually know who you really are?" It's hard for Nanami to believe. He's in denial and wished this was a dream but he knew it's real by having you next to him.
You grinned and instantly grabbed his weapon. "Who knows? But there's no time to talk. I'll be back!" You ecstatically took off, imbuing your positive energy into his blade. Knowing you're able to harm cursed spirits exhilarated your soul. It made you feel untouchable and a monster. You needed to learn more techniques before you got too ambitious. It never felt so great to break the shackles of being useless to become a better version of you that's been hiding for a very long time.
"Y/n!" Nanami shouted your name as you're being reckless again. He didn't understand how your brain was working because he internally knew you didn't know how to exorcize a cursed spirit. In addition, he didn't know how skillful you were either. He felt inclined to be your chaperone rather than Itadori.
"Take this, you piece of shit!" You swung your arm, slicing Mahito across the chest and kept at it as his body couldn't regenerate as fast as it could've. Your positive energy interfered with his shaping.
"Wow…" Nanami watched in awe. He couldn't move his body even if he wanted to. He was entranced by your fluid, precise, and nimble movements. You resembled a trained assassin due to your speed and strength. "You're so different. You hid tricks under your sleeve and I'm finally finding it out now…" Nanami's heart fluttered from your natural skills and how concentrated you were. You would constantly switch hands to trade off the blade, aim at joints to amputate it even if it grows back, deflect and move around Mahito's attacks. Not to mention, you didn't even break a sweat along with your fierce eyes hungry for the kill. You could definitely be a sorcerer as it seemed like you were trained at a young age to fight.
"Woah!" You evaded a deadly hit which could've knocked your head off your body.
It was a stand still as Mahito grew out his body again and kept his goggling eyes on you. He wanted to admire the person who could kill him faster than any other sorcerers. "Who are you? It doesn't seem like you're an actual sorcerer as you're not exorcizing me." Perhaps you're a phony or a person in training. Nonetheless, Mahito was going to take you with him. He didn't want to kill you yet but wanted to discover more about your poisonous ability.
On the other hand, this short pause in the fight made your exhaustion catch up to your body. Your legs felt like jelly and your arms didn't want to move anymore. You exerted yourself to the point of falling on your knees. Gosh, I'm beaten. It's been too long since I've had fun like this. My body doesn't wanna move anymore. I'm going to break down if I try swinging again… You didn't know what to do, whether you should stall or have Nanami take over.
Luckily to your relief, Itadori took over the matter. "I'm going to kill you!" He threw a hard punch at Mahito and their fight began.
You tiredly waddled next to Nanami and gave him back his weapon. "I'm sorry I couldn't finish the task. My body is too drained to keep moving. I'm at my limit right now." Though you didn't want to discourage yourself, you knew you could've been better if you hadn't stopped moving. The blood flow would've told your body to keep pushing even if it's hurting than giving you the complete opposite.
"You did good, y/n. You impressed me a lot, but I'll talk about that later. Let me aid Itadori." Nanami joined Itadori to exorcize Mahito. They did a combination of attacks until Mahito decided to escape. He knew his fate if he kept his stay longer.
"Haha! It's not a fun game if I'm getting beaten up like this! Till next time!" Mahito made eye contact with you as he slipped through the drain grate to the sewer. This caused you to gulp in uncertainty, but you hoped never to encounter that being again.
Then Nanami slashed the drain grate, creating an indent. "Call reinforcements! I'll be back!" He shouted and left to chase after Mahito.
"Who's calling for reinforcements? I don't have the number." You spun around wondering who's doing it. "Itadori," you decided that he was going to do it since you don't have anyone's number and he's a student who should have the necessary contact list.
However, you noticed how pale Itadori looked and he was stumbling a bit. His eyes were hazy, his lips were chapped, and the color drained from his body.
"Hey, Itadori!" You ran up to his unresponsive behavior. You tried shaking his shoulders but what you got instead was him collapsing in your arms. "Oh gosh!" You laid Itadori down as you felt his forehead for a certain temperature. His skin was clammy and there was no warmth. "He could be hurt! Why else would he just black out?!" You weren't going to check his injuries since it'll waste time on your end if he really was dying.
With determination flowing in your blood, you forced another tear from your eyes and let it drop in your cupped hands. Your fiddling fingers held it between your index and thumb finger while the other hand manually pulled Itadori's jaw apart. "You're going to be okay!" Anxiety was hitting you like a machine gun. This kid was one who saved you, and now you're repaying your debt to him. Plus, you weren't fond of the idea of people interrogating you regarding Itadori's death so you're going to do what you do best.
As you dropped the crystallized tear inside Itadori's mouth, the glistening light of hope in your eyes diminished when the outcome you assumed would happen didn't happen. You gulped a thick lump of saliva down your throat and let fear settle in your stomach, seeing Itadori unconsciously puking blood out. You were wide eyed and perplexed while goosebumps didn't leave your skin alone.
You pulled Itadori on your lap, flipping him belly down as you pat his back so all the blood could spill out. "Why is it not working?! It has to work! Is he dying because of me…?" You knew you wouldn't be able to sleep tonight until you got answers to this bizarre matter. You prayed for him to live if you couldn't be useful.
Shortly after, reinforcements came in to assess the situation. They took Itadori away, confirming he had a stable pulse but was heavily wounded. Then for Junpei, they were going to take him to get checked on as well as the students in the gym. Since there were too many staff here, you didn't want to show off your ability and go heal each student. It's too dangerous even if you wanted to ensure their survival. You needed to put yourself first in front of this crowd.

You were back in your comfy home as you laid on the couch drained from today. It was so bad you couldn't even bring yourself to bed. You felt weak and brittle like a twig that's about to snap in three seconds.
"God…. Did I over do it? I fought so hard. Not to mention, I got my ass hit by a gang of users too. Ugh, what a day…." Your eyes rolled back as you closed them. You were ready to fall asleep but a knock came at your door.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"Who could it be at this time? But do I want to get up? Can I get up? Shit." You gathered all your strength and pulled yourself on your feet. "Damn, my body feels heavy. Hopefully, I don't fall."
You used the walls to help you stay balanced when you knew you couldn't. You took short steps instead of wide strides as you wanted to be careful with your body. "1.. 2… 3…" Counting your steps mentally helped you stay focused and awake.
I'm getting closer to the door. Come on! I can make it!
Once you got to the front door, you pushed yourself off the wall to put on a facade and hoped to cut the conversation short as possible. Unlocking the locks, you turned the doorknob and greeted whoever it was.
"Hello! Oh! Nanami!" A surprise look took over your exhausted face. Whatever power he had over you, you didn't feel depleted anymore. He revived you with lots of energy, but your tired eyes didn't go away.
Nanami was relieved you're okay, but your eyes said it all about your hidden physical state. The fight wore you out as he knew you didn't know how exhausting it would take a toll on your body. Although he has other things to ask you, he decided to come back tomorrow and let you rest. You saved him, Junpei, and Itadori. You're remarkable.
A small smile tugged his lips and reached out to pat your head. Your body jolted from his touch as this was the first time he did this to you. You were more than awake now. "You get some rest, y/n. You were incredible! I'll talk to you tomorrow morning, okay? Goodnight."
Nanami turned around and walked off.
"Did he just compliment me?!" That's the first.
