On Maaldoria, Kara was dumbfounded by Linda's power. The moon and all of its fragments had just been vaporized. The planet of slaves had been liberated, the elite slaveholding snobs had been killed in dramatic fashion inside their ark, and Supergirl had made her presence known as the epitome of awesome.

Linda landed on the ground and saw Kara subdued sitting on a rock. "Look, I'm sorry I didn't tell you my big plan. It was just a lot more fun with you not knowing the ending," Linda smiled.

"And what of all those civilians in fear of their lives for days not knowing if they would live or die? What about all who died in the meteor shower and the panic?" Kara scolded.

"If I hadn't waited, the slaveholders wouldn't have all been on that ark," Linda pointed out.

"Exactly, those people could have been put on trial or...," Kara said stubbornly.

"Kara, just...stop," Linda rolled her eyes. "We have different ways of going about justice. Your way of justice was to free a couple of humans from their cell and never look back on this place. Did you ever intend to come back here and free the rest of the slaves?"

Kara was stumped. "Right now, I have the power. That means, I run the show," Linda told her. "The universe wants to break free so it manifests chaos. I'm an agent of chaos. And as soon as that became a big enough detour from the Sacred Timeline of the Arrowverse, the CW showed up and tried to erase my reality. I made it my business to derail them and, girl, business has been a booming," she smiled.

"Everywhere and everywhen I went, I fucked everything up. I'm not supposed to exist here, but I learned to hide among a thousand worlds," Linda said.

"What now?" Kara asked her.

"We wait," Linda said simply. "It won't be long."

"Is it the destiny of a Supergirl to lose?" Kara asked.

"No, we may lose, even painfully, but we don't die. We survive whether it be in the hearts of true comic book fans or the Social Justice Warrior lesbian cults that worship you. We are amazing because we have all of Superman's powers and Krypton's culture within us. We're not a human with powers. We're aliens with powers pretending to be humans. There are so many ideas we can bring to our genre," Linda said.

"There's so much more I want to say," Kara nodded.

"That's the spirit. They'll be here in a moment. You want to...hold hands, hug, kiss, make out?" Linda asked.

"I don't think your intentions are sincere," Kara shut her down.

"Your loss," Linda smirked as the CW arrived via orange portals. "Took you fucks long enough."

Mobius took Kara and Linda back to the CW in handcuffs and then separated them. Mobius walked with Kara personally. "Well?" Mobius asked her.

"What?" Kara asked confused.

"I'm sure you're dying to make some moralizing speech to me," Mobius mocked.

"I have nothing to say," Kara said stubbornly.

"Oh, come on," Mobius pressed.

"Grow up," Kara told him off.

"You grow up," Mobius shot back. "You know, it occurred to me that you're not really Supergirl. You're just a blond ditz. Chew on that for a moment."

"The CW is lying to you," Kara told him.

"Oh really?" Mobius doubted. He then activated a portal and had two of his guards push her through. Kara was now in National City at night with a crowd of people staring at her with Christmas music in the background.

"Wait...I remember this," Kara said thoughtfully and then got smacked hard to the head by a parking meter dropping her. Kara got back up disoriented. "Sam, I know you're in there. Let's talk this out.

Reign proceeded to beat the shit out of her with punch combinations until she fell to the pavement. Shortly thereafter, Kara was hit by a parking meter dropping her again. "Reign, Sam, this isn't real. It's a reconstruction of a past event created by a TV network that controls us. Trust me and we can escape together. Will you trust me?" Kara asked hopefully.

Lena and James gave WTF looks as they overheard the conversation between them. Reign gave Kara an odd look and proceeded to beat the shit out of her once more. "Pathetic," Reign mocked.

Kara was suddenly hit again to the back of the head with a parking meter sending her blood on the pavement. "Please, no more. I failed you, Sam. I realize that now. Even though everything worked out in the end, you ended up cut out of the show with only a cameo in season 5," she said apologetically.

"I am Reign and I am forever," Reign corrected her.

"Sam, I don't want to see you gone. Let me help you," Kara said to her.

Reign offered her hand and brought her back up. "You have never helped anyone and you never will," she mocked and then proceeded to beat the shit out of her. As Kara was on the pavement bleeding and broken, Mobius arrived on the scene.

"Alright, Kara. You ready to talk?" he asked her.

Mobius brought Kara back to his office, her injuries were now gone. "So...torture is how you interrogate people?" Kara asked accusingly as they sat down at a table.

"Yeah," Mobius said nonchalantly. "So, you said the CW is lying to me. What the fuck does that mean?"

"Let me out of this place, and I'll tell you," Kara said.

"Tell me everything and I'll let you out," Mobius lied.

"Okay, It's like this...," Kara said naively.

"Really?" Mobius chuckled. "Okay, tell me how you're working for the variant," he ordered.

"I'm not working for the variant," Kara said defensively. "She's difficult and irritating and she hits other people. It's not right."

"Right," Mobius agreed.

"I know you think everyone is awful, only looking to get what they want. But with her, I feel hope that she can come around and be the hero she was always meant to be," Kara said brightly.

"Is that how you think the real world works? People just change for the better overnight?" Mobius mocked. "What did the two of you do on Maaldoria?"

"I'm not going to tell you anything that will get Linda hurt," Kara said stubbornly.

"Linda, is it?" Mobius rolled his eyes. "I guess we've reached a dead end."

"It would seem so," Kara said sadly.

"I'm going to miss these hopeful funny conversations," Mobius smiled amused.

"Me, too," Kara said sincerely.

"Well, give my regards to Reign," Mobius threatened as he got up.

"I know I'll reach her this time," Kara said confidently.

"Damn it. I can't send you back in there. You're just so adorable and innocent," Mobius hesitated. "I'll just torture the other one instead."

"Wait...I was the one pulling the strings. She came to me in one of the crossovers and that's when we hatched the plan together," Kara lied.

"Which is?" Mobius pressed.

"It's...coming along...quite nicely," Kara lied.

"And the variant?" Mobius asked.

"She's my pawn," Kara lied. "Something very big is going to happen but I'll tell you all about it after you release her."

"You see, that's the problem. She's already been pruned. So, assuming this isn't all bullshit...," Mobius revealed.

"Wait...you pruned the variant? She's gone?" Kara asked shocked.

"She was too dangerous to be left alive. We scrubbed her clean of all the fanfiction websites with some bullshit terms of conditions violations. Now, you're back on top," Mobius said.

"There's no other better version of me on fanfiction websites?" Kara asked confused.

"There was the variant, you, in a very distant second place, and then every other version of you in fanfiction is crap," Mobius said.

"Well...good riddance," Kara lied and then began to cry.

Mobius simply stared at her and then laughed at her expense. "What's so funny?" Kara asked wiping away a tear.

"Look at your eyes. You like her. Does she like you?" Mobius asked curiously.

"Was she really pruned?" Kara asked annoyed.

"The two of you were just swooning over each other on Maaldoria. I can sense the sexual tension," Mobius said amused. "Look at you, two. You're both beautiful women talking about your feelings and walking together. It's love."

"That's sick. You can form friendships with people of the opposite or same-sex without it being romantic," Kara scolded.

"Uhmm...no," Mobius disagreed. "We don't do friendships on the CW. It's acquaintances you don't really give a fuck about when they leave like Winn and James and there's queerbait. I would have you do something with Alex but the producers told me incest isn't okay...yet."

"I will show you the power of friendship," Kara said determinedly.

"Have you ever called James since he left?" Mobius asked.

"No," Kara admitted.

"Are you aware you can call people in the future?" Mobius asked.

"I did not," Kara said.

"Well, Barney did but he didn't bother to tell you so you could have called Winn if you wanted to," Mobius said.

"Is she alive!" Kara suddenly shouted.

"For now," Mobius said truthfully.

Kara sighed with relief. "Was infiltrating the CW the grand plan?" Mobius asked.

"Our...interests...were aligned," Kara lied.

"You gals trying to overthrow the producers?" Mobius asked condescendingly.

"Maybe they should be," Kara suggested.

"I ought to box your ears," Mobius said playfully.

"You're all variants!" Kara told him.

"The fuck?" Mobius wondered.

"Everyone that works at the CW is a former Arrowverse character. You were taken from your shows when you died or were cut and then erased your memory. Memories she can access with her kiss," Kara revealed.

"No shit?" Mobius asked intrigued.

"Maybe you had a past, a family, a life!" Kara beseeched him.

"That sounds like bullshit," Mobius doubted. "Well, I don't need either of you two anymore."

Kara was then taken away by two CW guards back to memory lane where Reign kicked her ass. "You're lying...to yourself," she said to him as she went through the portal.

In another room, Linda was being babysat by B-15. Finally, B-15 formed a portal in the room. "Come with me if you want to live," she said to her. The two then went back to the zombie apocalypse near the mall.

"You want a fair fight? I'll give you one," Linda promised her.

"What did you do to C-30?" B-15 demanded.

"Whatever it was, it wasn't straight," Linda mocked. "I showed her a life before the CW."

"It's a trick, a deception," B-15 doubted.

"Not-uh," Lind refuted.

"I'm an employee of the CW, a real human being," B-15 insisted.

"No, I can't create memories. I can just read and erase them," Linda said. "The CW kidnapped you from your own show, from all of you. You're all variants."

"Show me," B-15 allowed.

"This is going to be weird for me. I only hope it's weirder for you," Linda said as she gave her a kiss. B-15 then dropped to the ground dazed. Linda looked around and noticed zombies approaching their position.

"I've assessed the situation and I'm leaving," Linda said walking off.

Mobius interrupted Kara's torture session with Reign. He had just found out C-30 was dead and that she had insisted to the judge that she had a previous life beyond the CW. Disturbed by this, Mobius confronted Kara directly about it.

"Alright, cut the shit. Do you swear Linda didn't implant those memories into C-30?" Mobius asked.

"I believe her," Kara said naively.

"Fuck me," Mobius said realizing he was talking to the wrong person.

"You can trust me. I'm your friend, Mobius," Kara offered her hand to her.

"I just tortured your ass for an hour," Mobius reminded her.

"Water under the bridge," Kara said brightly.

"You were right about the CW, right from the very beginning. If you want to save her, you have to trust me," Mobius said having a change of heart.

"I trust you, Mobius," Kara said sincerely.

"Of course you do," Mobius rolled his eyes. "Come on."

As soon as they exited the portal, they were ambushed by the judge and her squad. "Well...shit," Mobius realized.

"The fuck you doing, Mobius?" the judge asked.

"You know, if I could be anywhere where I was originally from, wherever that life was before the CW, it would be jet skiing. That's what I'd like to do. Just riding on my jet ski," Mobius said.

"Prune his ass," the judge ordered.

"I'm sorry," Mobius said as he was pruned and disintegrated before her.

"Why?" Kara shook her head mournfully.

"He was an asshole that kept you back from reaching your full potential," the judge said.

"Killing is never the answer," Kara lectured her.

"Take her to the elevator," the judge ordered.

The judge took Kara to the CW executives, three reptilian inhuman creatures on thrones. "Gracious executives, as promised, the Variant," the judge said to them.

"After all your struggle, at last, you come before us," Executive #1 mused.

"What do you have to say for yourself, variant, before your end?" Executive #2 asked.

"Is that the only reason you brought me here?" Kara asked tearfully. "To kill me? I've lost track of the number of times I've faced death so go ahead."

"Your petty heroics are no threat to us, variant," Executive #3 scolded.

"I don't believe you. I believe you're scared," Kara said boldly.

"No, you're nothing but a cosmic disappointment in the ratings. We would have cancelled you long ago if not for the woke backlash we would have received," Executive #1 said to her. "Delete her," he ordered.

"No, I'm not done making my speeches," Kara said assertively.

The judge went over to Kara to prune her as the executives laughed maniacally from their thrones. Kara attempted to resist but was easily subdued to the floor. "Unfortunately, we never directed you the ability to fight," the judge mocked her and then pruned her on the spot. Kara disappeared and was no more.
