Hey Guys! Crescent Rider here and I am back with another chapter.

As always, I do have some things to say But they will be found at the end of this chapter. All except for this one.

This is the first time I've used the 'Previously' Segment on a Story. Similar to the Avatar Last Airbender and other popular shows out there.

Let me know how I did as these things won't happen too often. For they'll only appear whenever I end a chapter at the beginning of a fight, in the middle of a fight, and at the near conclusion of a fight.

That is all I have to say, and enjoy the chapter!

Previously on The Child of Nazarick

Hope studied as Ainz tends to his adventure persona in the Capital City of E-Rantel. In the midst of her studies, she now strives to learn how spells work in the New World and conducts several experiments to explore her capabilities in the field.

In the midst of her experiments, she has proposed a sparring match with 6th Floor Guardians, Aura Bella Fiore, and Mare Bella Fiore. They reluctantly accept to abide by Ainz's will, and Aura faces off against Hope with Mare as her support.

What will become of the outcome of this match...?

Amphitheater, 6th Floor

Aura lashes her whip at Hope in multi directions while Hope's armbands glow upon her mental command.

Before the whip could make contact with Hope, the orbs of armbands proceeded to glow in their brightest form and materializes into twin shields.

Aura's whip bounces off of the shield, then Hope proceeds to throw her shields like a pair of frisbee disks. The former saw this coming, evades the first shield, then destroys the second by losing an arrow from her bow [To Your Heart].

Upon the second shield's destruction, it formed a small dust cloud. Which, Hope took advantage by charging toward Aura with pair of brown transparent gauntlets and attempting to land a blow on her with it.

However, Aura's reactions were quicker as she jumps back before the gauntlet makes contact with her, then performs a few somersaulting moves to create distance between her and Hope.

But the moment Hope's gauntlets hit the ground, it creates a medium-sized crater upon impact. A while later, Hope jumps a few feet back and then straightens herself once more.

"That's quite odd," Aura commented,

"What do you mean, Aura?" Hope inquired,

"After seeing you use several offensive and defensive magic. I assumed that you're a magic caster like Ainz-sama," Aura explained, "But I didn't expect you to use close quarters on me,"

"Well, I do tend to use close quarters to my advantage if it pleases me," Hope said with a smile, "It's how it got to where I am today,"

"As expected of someone as great as you," Aura praised, "But I won't be outdone just yet,"

"Good," Hope remarked, and armbands materializes from twin gauntlets to twin orange whips, "Cause I'm just warming up,"

Aura switches back to her whip and dashes forth while lashing her whip toward Hope. Her attacks clash with the latter lashing her whips against it and the ground. What's more, Aura noticed scorch marks on the ground as she evades and parries the attacks.

This meant that Aura learned that Hope's whips have a Fire Attribute. It may not do much harm, but it will leave a mark if she isn't careful.

As for Mare's role, he acted more of a support role as he cast a barrier between his sister and himself. Along with a few other buffs that he chanted on his sister.

He tried to use debuffs on Hope, but most of the lower-tiered debuffs were nullified as Hope's resistance proved to be high while some weren't enough to faze her. Anything higher than that, he refrains from using as he didn't want to cause any significant harm to Hope.

A few minutes of clashing their whips against one another, Hope decided to change tactics after one final clash and materializes a white spear from her right hand.

Then she throws it toward Aura, but what the latter didn't expect was that the spear was made with wind magic and its throwing speed was faster.

Hence, she wouldn't be able to block or evade this spear from reaching its target. But fortunately for her, Mare casts a defensive spell and nullifies the spear before it deals any damage.

The same cannot be said for the spear's knockback as Aura was pushed a few meters back then regains her composure and jump to her brother's side.

"Are you alright, Onee-chan?" Mare inquired,

"I'm fine," Aura assured, "It's nothing I can't handle,"

Mare remains somewhat concerned over his sister but casts it aside as he became vigilant towards Hope. The latter remains where she stands and examines her right armband.

"Fascinating..." Hope muttered, "Back then, Spells require an interface to activate and a few other things. But now..."

Due to the absence of the majority of Yggdrasil's restrictions and interface, the advantages of such had made her spell-casting easy and flexible compared to how she does it in the game.

If she wanted to, she could imagine a spell on her hand, use it, and imagine a different spell afterward. The same applies to her equipment as they were an extension to her disposal.

As for cooldowns, they still remained despite being shortened by Hope's exclusive class.

She smiles at this discovery and heightens her enthusiasm for this sparring match. Staring at the two, the next experiment came into mind...

"I will admit, Mare as your support is a bit unfair especially with those debuffs he tried to use against me," Hope remarked, "So let's make this match a bit fairer,"

Hope closes her eyes, then places two fingers on her forehead. She then proceeds to slide them down to her chest and conjures a line of magic runes. Specifically, Runes of Norse Mythology.

The Dark Elf Twins watch as interrupting her was rude. Especially since this is all but a sparring match. When Hope snaps her eyes wide open, she swipes her hand to the right and activates a spell in her mind.

What materialized was an exact copy of herself, and all three spectators marveled at the details. The first to speak among them was Aura, "She cloned herself, that's really cool!"

"Y-Yeah! Really, Really Cool!" Mare timidly praised,

Hope's clone soon opened her eyes and revealed a pair of amethyst eyes. The twins expected this match to get tougher, but they didn't expect that this clone hides behind Hope a few seconds later...

Not even Hope herself expected this kind of behavior.

"This is interesting..." Hope remarked, "Is something wrong?"

"M-M-My apologies," Anxious Hope apologized, "I'm just not used to being summoned..."

"Not used to? Do you realize I summoned you and other clones multiple times before right?" Hope remarked,

"I-I-I know that... But..." Anxious Hope shuddered to say a word while Hope remains somewhat confused,

Then she wondered to herself. If these NPCs had gained sentience from their transportation to this New world, perhaps the same could be said for the summons she possesses.

But she puts that thought aside as she focuses on the match with the Dark Elf Twins...

"On second thought, How about you try to get yourself together and help me with this match for a moment," Hope stated, then sets her sights on Mare, "I'll also let you have your way with Aura's brother since he's as timid as you are,"

"M-May I stay at the backline as well...?" Anxious Hope inquired, "I do specialize in Support based spells to aid you... Though it won't be much..."

"Sure thing," Hope said, "And I'll try to keep Aura off your back if she tries to attack you,"

"S-Sure..." Anxious Hope said, then a staff materializes on her hands,

Hope gapes her mouth a little. The revelation of summons holding their standard equipment like in the game makes her glad. But she couldn't help but wonder if other items like the ones she has in her inventory box can be equipped to summons like Anxious Hope.

That was an experiment that she'll conduct in the future as she turns her attention back to the Dark Elf Twins, "Now then, let's continue with this match. Shall we?"

Aura readies herself while Mare timidly holds his staff close as they prepare for another bout. Before long, Aura and Hope charged against each other and clashed attacks with Hope wielding a green-conjured sword and a yellow-conjured shield and Aura wielding her whip.

Mare tries to cast his spells at Hope as the latter clashes with his sister but gets interrupted when Anxious Hope used a spell to cast a barrier that dispels magic from reaching Hope or his sister.

"I-I'm really sorry," Anxious Hope timidly apologized, then directs her staff towards Mare, "[Hurricane]!"

Anxious Hope then conjures a hurricane from the head of her staff and was heading directly toward Mare. The latter shuddered and then acted quickly by chanting a quick earth wall spell to block the upcoming attack.

Upon impact, Mare stands his ground as his hair, cloak, and skirt flutter from the wind force of the Hurricane. Sometime later, the hurricane dissipates and the earth wall reverts itself back into the ground.

What followed was a couple of more spells ranging from offensive magic to debuffs. With their timid personality, it was clear that their battle was a little slower compared to Hope and Aura's.

As for those two, Aura was lashing her whip at Hope in several directions. But the latter uses her conjured sword to protect herself on all sides by striking it down on the ground hard.

This resulted in large trees being sprouted from the ground and forming a wall formation in front of her. Not only that, the Wood Attribute of her sword is further enhanced with Hope's MP.

This made the trees sturdy enough to take on Aura's attack as it created visible marking against the trunk of the trees.

Once her attacks had been repelled, Hope retaliates by hurling her shield as if it were a frisbee once the trees fastly decays. The shield's attribute is Light and was enhanced with some of Hope's MP.

This made her shield move faster than the speed of Aura's whip but was set to detonate once it closes in on Aura's face. Resulting in the shield flashing right into Aura's eyes before she had time to react.

It also emitted a high pitch noise that deafens Aura's hearing...

Mare tried to help but was restrained when several roots emerged below his feet, wrap all around his limbs, and lifts him right into the air. He also dropped his staff in the process, but additional roots had caught the Staff before it reached the ground.

Aura was temporarily blind from the light, and her ears rang from the sound. This left her wide open as Hope charged in with a silver-conjured halberd.

When Aura regains some of her sights, she knew that it was too late to do anything as the light and noise kept her distracted long enough for Hope to make her final move on her.

Though Hope doesn't go through with the attack as the blade was a meter away from Aura's head. When Aura's vision had returned to normal, she knew that she had already lost with the halberd being this close to her head.

When she glanced at Mare, she knew he had lost too as the roots were wrapped firmly around his limbs and kept him in place while the Anxious Hope averts her gaze from the sight.

Moments later, Hope smiled, dispels her halberd, and offers Aura her hand. The latter takes it and the former pulls her up on her feet.

"You can put him down now," Hope commanded,

The Anxious Hope nods and the roots slowly put Mare down on his feet and disappear from the ground.

Once the Dark Elf Twins were reunited, Yuri Alpha steps in and applauds all three of them.

"That was truly a great match, Hope-san," Yuri praised, "As goes for the Twins as well. But it is clear who the winner of this match is,"

"No argument there," Aura remarked, "I expected nothing less from someone great in Ainz's level,"

"Well... I didn't expect Hope to copy herself though," Mare remarked, "It was really cool too!"

"I thank you for your praises," Hope thanked, while Anxious Hope returns to Hope's body, "But to be fair, I would have lost if you two had become serious on our match and synchronized your attack patterns on me instead of fighting individually,"

Aura and Mare nodded at this and felt proud of her praises.

"Alright, Now that this match has been settled. It's safe to say that my abilities to fight are still top-notch," Hope said, "Hence, This Experiment of mine is a complete success. But I won't leave without giving you two a proper reward for your contribution,"

"A Reward? I don't think that's necessary for us," Aura politely commented,

"Nonsense, without your contributions. I wouldn't have learned this much today," Hope said, "And I know just the thing to thank you two,"

"W-What would that be, Hope-san?" Mare inquired,

"Come here, you two," Hope said as she gestured the twins to come closer,

They complied as they step forward and that's when Hope provides the reward to both Dark Elves.

The First was Aura's as Hope moves the bangs of her hair and planted a small kiss on her forehead. This causes Aura to stiffen her body as her mind couldn't process the moment.

Once Hope finished, she moves on to Mare, moved the bangs of his hair, and did the same as Aura. Although, his reaction was more lively as he became somewhat flustered from the kiss afterward.

With that done, Hope states the following words, "I've always wanted to do that since Chagma often dons me as much as you two. Now I know how that feels,"

Hope then turns to Yuri, "Shall we get going then?"

"I will follow you where ever you go, Hope-san," Yuri stated,

"Alright then," Hope said, then turns away from the maid and stared at an empty area, "[Gate]"

A Gate opens and the two departed from the 6th Floor, leaving the baffled twins alone.

Aura's mind soon went to ease, and spoke, "Mare,"

"Y-Yes, Onee-chan?" Mare inquired,

When Aura turns to him, she smiles and pumps both her arms at him, "Let's do our best!"

"R-Right!" Mare agreed with newfound enthusiasm,

The Dark Elf Twins would never forget this experience and swore to do their best for not just Ainz Ooal Gown, but for Hope's name as well...

The Following Day...

Hope was reading, though she wasn't alone with it as a different clone was sitting next to her.

The clone's behavior was vastly different as she was staring intently at every book she gets her hands on, wears a pair of reading glasses, and when she finishes one book she picks up another that piques her interest.

Though the books in mind revolve around academic and non-academic books limited not only to the Old World, but also the New World when Hope had requested some books from Ainz as soon as he left Nazarick.

This was Perfectionist Hope, and she strives to learn everything knowledgeable and ignore what's irrelevant to her.

As for the Maid watching her, It was Werewolf Battle Maid, Lupusregina Beta. And she watches her while waiting for Arachnoid to speak to her.

When Hope puts down the book on the desk, she leans back while Perfectionist Hope took the book from the desk and reads it thoroughly.

"Lupus-san," Hope called out,

"Yes!" Lupusregina responded almost immediately,

"I want to ask you something," Hope requested,

"Sure! Ask anything that you have in mind," Lupusregina replied,

"Carne Village," Hope said, "What's its story?"

"Carne Village? Well..." Lupusregina trails off as he holds little to no interest in mind when it came to humans, but what she did have in mind was Ainz's involvement in it, "It's a human village that Ainz saved not too long ago. He also took several humans to the 5th Floor after the incident,"

"You mean to say that they're still here in Nazarick?" Hope inquired,

"Probably, Neuorist Painkiller is in charge of them, After all," Lupusregina said,

"There's some potential with this information in mind," Perfectionist Hope remarked as soon as she finished her book, then turns to Hope, "Do you mind if I go take a look at these people?"

"Hmm... I don't know..." Hope wondered for a moment, then she gives her response a while later, "Eh, Why not. just don't do anything excessive while you're there,"

Hope then pulls out a ring from her inventory, and lends it to Perfectionist Hope, "Here, this ring will provide you some access to the 4th Floor. See Cocytus first and he'll guide you around the 5th floor. And tell him that I sent you as well,"

"Very well then," Perfectionist Hope said, wore the ring into her finger, and stands right out off her couch, "Leaving..."

Perfectionist Hope then teleports out of the room and left Lupusregina and Hope alone in the room. Though the latter soon stands from the couch as well, "Lupus-san, I have another request in mind,"

"What is it?" Lupusregina inquired,

"Would mind if you escort me to Carne Village? I'd like to see this place for myself," Hope requested,

Lupusregina was baffled at this request, and she couldn't help but think about whether or not she could abide by Hope's wishes.

Hence she decided to use an alternative answer, "Well... You should probably ask Ainz first. Wouldn't it wish to ask him first before going?"

"If that's the case," Hope brings out a scroll from her inventory box, and presents it to Lupusregina, "You ask him, he wouldn't mind,"

Lupusregina was hesitant by this request, but she couldn't refuse her as well since that would be rude in her opinion. Therefore, she reluctantly took the scroll from her hands and uses it, "[M-Message],"

Meanwhile...

Nphirea and the Sword of Darkness sleep through the night, and Ainz remains wide awake due to his race as an undead.

As the night goes by, Ainz receives a notification from Nazarick.

*Lupusregina: A-Ainz-sama*

*Ainz: Lupusregina? Why are you calling me at this time of day*

*Lupusregina: Well... Hope-san has a request and she wanted your approval for it*

*Ainz: What sort of request?*

Lupusregina then went on to explain Hope's request to visit Carne Village.

Ainz thought about this request quite thoroughly while Narberal Gamma just stared at him as he cupped his chin in thought.

At first, he wanted Hope to stay in Nazarick for a bit longer until everything was sorted. But having her cope up in the tomb is something that her parents wouldn't agree since Hope has this kind of wanderlust to learn what she can when Yggdrasil was still in active service.

Thus, he made his decision clear once he gathered his thoughts around her request.

*Ainz: Normally I wouldn't let her leave the tomb until I've gathered enough information to prove that the outside world is safe*

*Ainz: But doing so wouldn't help her one bit*

*Ainz: Therefore, I approve of her request. But you'll be in charge of watching over her.*

*Lupusregina: Understood, I'll tell her right away*

With that, Lupusregina was finished with the conversation then Ainz stares at the night sky in thought over Hope's first outing. But with the timing of all this, he wouldn't worry about it since he was going to Carne Village the following morning.

Back at Nazarick...

Perfectionist Hope arrives at the location where Neuronist Painkiller interrogates, or rather torture, prisoners.

Of course, she met the Brain Eater herself and was practically unfazed by her appearance as well as her personality. What mattered was the condition of the prisoners that are currently on hold on the 5th Floor

When she saw the prisoner herself, that's when she materialized a book in hand and spoke the following words, "The work begins..."

Thus, a new round of experimentation had begun...

That is it for this chapter, as for what comes next. It'll be Hope's visit to Carne Village. Of course, she'll meet the Wise King of the Forest as well.

However, I will surprise you all with a little something once Hope departs from Nazarick.

As for this exclusive class that was mentioned, I will reveal the details on the next chapter instead of here. And before Chapter 9, there will be an Omake Series with several contents.

It'll be long, but I will try to make it worth your while.

That is all I have to say, stay safe from the virus, and I will see you all in the next chapter!

(P.S.: Yesterday was my 22nd Birthday. And my wish is that everyone stay safe and healthy during the pandemic.)
