The light of morning beamed into a rather simple room. Besides the single window, where the sunlight was beaming through, the room consists of four walls and a ceiling that was made entirely of stone. The floors, on the other hand, were made of wood. On the bed, Asarirn's eyes slowly opened as an indication the morning had arrived and was time to wake up. Asarirn managed to calm himself enough from the horrible nightmare to be able to put in some hours of sleep. His expression consisted of tiredness and annoyance this was not the first time this occurred. Asarirn believed this was the fourth time this happened if he were to count.

Fate's Dream... Asarirn whispered the words to himself. Asarirn dismissed the thought as he didn't want to think about the dream and focus on what was happening now.

Asarirn proceeds to move off his bed. Wearing only a simple black cotton shirt and pants, he headed for the small dresser in his room. He took out a black coat and a pair of long gloves. He slid on the gloves that went up to his elbows. Asarirn held the black coat in his hands. The red pattern made him slightly remember the dream. There was one thing that occurred in his mind.

My death...

Asarirn quickly shook the thought out and put on the coat. He made sure the coat was properly fitted before he added a belt around his waist. Asarirn wore a pair of black boots to match the rest of the outfit. After he finished dressing up, he stood there for a minute thinking about how he had been living in this world of Lydius for well over four years. The thought never occurred of being the leader of a group called The Silent Angels for more than a year. The thoughts were interrupted when there was a knock on his door. Asarirn pulled up his hood and proceeded to open the door.

The door opened to a man wearing a similar black coat to Asarirn's but without the red stripe pattern, indicating a regular member. The man stood slightly taller than Asarirn. Carrying in his hands was a single tray of food.

"Morning Master, how's your sleep?" The man greeted Asarirn as he proceeded to walk into the room.

"Pretty much the same nights as before," Asarirn sounding tired while rubbing the back of his head. "I didn't get that much sleep."

Asarirn noticed the single tray of food in the man's hand and questioned, "Why, every time, you only bring one tray?"

"Because, for an assistant like me, it would be unfit to be eating in your presence, Master," the man sounded more like a servant than an assistant.

"I want you to go get yourself another tray of food. I don't want to eat alone with you here," Asarirn stated as he didn't want to start another argument.

"But sir, it's probably best, if I don't," the assistant said, he knew he was going to start this argument again.

"I am ordering you to go get another tray of food for you to eat with me," Asarirn demanded.

The man stood there, knowing that he can't defile a direct order from the leader.

"Very well, Master," the man said as he turned towards the door. He left knowing Asarirn had won this battle.

Asarirn sat on his bed, waiting for the assistant. Thoughts about the dream filled his mind once more. He knew very well that he couldn't change the outcome of his dream, no matter how much he tried. But his death was not the only thing he was concerned about, the four girls who appeared in his dreams. He knew for sure; he had never seen them before in his life. In the end, he was left with only two questions. Who are they? Why were they there?

Before Asarirn could ponder more on that thought, he was interrupted by the sudden appearance of the assistant. In his hands was another tray of food. Without another word, the two of them sat on the bed and began eating.

"Was that so hard to eat with me?" Asarirn commented.

The assistant sighed at the comment Asarirn made. "You know it's my duty to provide care to the leader," the assistant stated.

"You know very well I don't like to be treated like this."

"That's what happens when you become a leader," the assistant said while he took another bite of his food.

The two of them continued to eat their food in silence for a bit until the assistant asked the one thing that Asarirn didn't want to hear.

"Did you have the same dream, again?"

Asarirn immediately stopped eating, which prompt the assistant to stop as well. He sighed, knowing it was true.

"I did," Asarirn was straightforward.

"Fate's dream. A reoccurring dream where you foresee your death over and over again," the assistant spoke with concern in his voice. "What are your plans to do about it?"

"There's nothing that I could do about it," Asarirn sounded defeated. "But I do believe my death won't happen in a while."

"What makes you say that?" the assistant questioned.

"Well, there were people in my dream that I have never met before, "Asarirn started to explain. "So, in a sense, the events in my dream won't happen for a while. Either way, I have the training to survive these kinds of situations.

Asarirn patted the assistant's back to ensure confidence. However, both, the assistant and Asarirn, sat there in silence. They both knew the outcome of that dream would become reality in a matter of time. The assistant decided to clear his mind and focused on what was important.

"Well, I believe it's time for your morning practice," the assistant broke the silence and then took the empty plates from both trays.

"Yeah, you're right," Asarirn agreed.

Asarirn knew he needed to keep up with his skills. Asarirn headed towards his weapons rack. There were two blades on the rack. One was a long blade and a board sword. The long blade has some strange writing along the blade. He attached the long blade sheath on his backside waist with the hilt, pointed toward his right side. As for the board sword, the sword was strapped to his back.

-*RWBY*-

While Asarirn and the assistant were heading towards their destination, many non-high-ranking members passed them. Each of them would bow to Asarirn as he passed them. Asarirn would simply wave at them as he continued to walk. There was a slight embarrassment in Asarirn since he was one of the high-ranking members, especially the leader.

They reached a rather large room labeled as the training room. The area appeared more like a round arena. This training area was built underground to prove room to train. There are four sections of the wall that had been built in cages. Each cage housed dangerous monsters in the world of Lydius.

The assistant proceeded to the level above one of the cages, while Asarirn proceeded to the middle of the arena. Asarirn stood for a least a minute to focus his mind before drawing out his broadsword. The assistant held a hand on the lever.

"Are you ready!?" The assistant yelled out. The only response that Asarirn made was a simple nod.

The assistant pulled the lever to the cage, which was the closest one to the assistant. Immediately, the bars that held back the beast dropped to the ground, allowing the beast to break free. The beast slowly emerged from the cage and appeared to be a large dragon. The dragon appeared to be emitting black smoke around its body. That was not just a regular dragon, but one of the most dangerous dragons. It was a Darkness Dragon. The dragon quickly locked eyes with its glowing yellow eyes at its opponent and lunged at Asarirn.

Asarirn watched the dragon dash toward him with great speed like its gliding across the area. The dragon lunged at him. He immediately stepped out of the way of the dragon's mouth. The dragon saw the incoming dodge. So, as the dragon missed with its mouth, it whipped its tail toward him. Asarirn blocked the incoming tail, but the force of the tail was great enough to push him back. The dragon roared in anger; it knew it would be harder to kill Asarirn. So, it decided to take a flight to gain the advantage. Asarirn stood there, in his defensive stance as he watched the dragon's movement.

At that moment, Asarirn sensed an unknown presence. He knew very well that he didn't recognize the person. He had to end the fight soon, just for safe measure. Asarirn held back his sword, like preparing for a swing. Then the dragon saw this and decided to shoot a dark beam out of its mouth. But, in that second, Asarirn glowed a bit, covered in a white aura. As the beam was heading toward Asarirn, he disappeared before the beam hits. The dragon couldn't see where he was but barely caught him underneath it. Asarirn shot up into the air toward the dragon in an instant, performing an upper slash at the dragon's right wing. The slash was enough to cut the wing off. The dragon roared in agony as it fell into the earth. But Asarirn wasn't finished, he plunged his sword in a downward position as he was falling on top of the dragon. The dragon was squirmy a lot but soon ended as Asarirn stabbed right into its chest, ending its life.

The assistant clapped as he was headed toward the Weapon Master.

"Certainly, a wonderful performance, Master," the assistant commented.

"It wasn't that hard to take this thing down, since this one hasn't reached adulthood. You need to understand how it behaves in a fight. Once you do, you will gain the upper hand. Thus, you will be able to kill it," Asarirn explained as he pulled his broadsword out of the dragon's chest. He performed a quick swing, spilling the blood off of his sword before he sheathed the weapon.

Asarirn stood there for a bit, he knew that he couldn't sense the unknown presence anymore. He thought out for a bit, who was it? An intruder? Could it be the traitor within the group? He broke his trail of thought and looked at the assistant without causing any attention. The assistant doesn't appear to notice the unknown presence.

"So, what is the next thing on the agenda?" Asarirn quickly asked the question.

The assistant pulled out a small notepad and proceeded to browse through it.

"The next thing on the list is the meeting with the ten other members," the assistant said while he looked at Asarirn.

"Very well, let us go to the meeting," Asarirn said as he started to walk toward the exit.

-*RWBY*-

Both Asarirn and the assistant walked and stopped in front of the big double-stone doors. The doors have some magical texts all over them. A spell that prevents people from breaking into it or eavesdropping.

"Here are the things needed to be addressed in the meeting," the assistant stated while he handed Asarirn a notepad with a list of things written on it.

Asarirn peeked into the list to see what was written. The list talked about mostly some areas that required their attention, reminding everyone to train, etc. Further down the list, there was something that caught Asarirn's attention, a mention of discovery from the mages. He nodded to the assistant as a thank you. He turned toward the double doors and waved a hand motion. The markings on the double doors glowed a bright light blue color and then slowly opened, allowing access into the room. Asarirn proceeded into the room as the door was closing behind him.

-*RWBY*-

The Silent Angels always held a meeting with the eleven main members every two weeks. The point of the meetings is for the leader to direct the other members to areas that need their help. As well as the important things that needed to be addressed. The meeting is held in a room which only the main members are allowed to enter. Inside the room was a simple room with stone walls. The room consisted of no windows but a long table with five stone seats on both sides and a single seat at the end, for the leader.

The Silent Angels is a group of powerful fighters from around the world of Lydius. The purpose of the organization was to help and protect people in their darkest need from within the shadow. The group consisted of 11 high-ranking members, each wore a black coat with red trims, while the rest wore only a black coat. Each member has different fighting abilities and/or skills that help the organization. The only thing that made the group unique was the fact that Asarirn is the youngest member of the group and the leader. Made others believe, he was the strongest member. The other members' ages range from their early 20s to their early 40s.

Within the room, the other ten members were seated in their respective spots. As soon as Asarirn entered the room, all other members stood in perfect sync and then bowed to the leader.

"You all may be seated," the leader said as he walked toward his seat while everyone else proceeded to sit down.

Asarirn sat on his seat and pulled out the notepad that the assistant had given him. He peered into the list before putting it on the table. He looked up to the group while the rest gazed back at him. Each member has their weapon within reach, in case anything happens. To the left of Asarirn, a skinny man who has draggers sitting in front of him, a bulky man who has his giant axe sitting behind his seat, a man who don't have any weapons, a woman who have her bow sitting on the table with her arrows strapped on her thigh, and lastly a man with his shield sitting behind and his sword sitting on his lap. To the right of Asarirn, a man holding a mage-looking staff, a scrawny-looking man with a lance with dual blades on each end, a woman with no weapons, a woman with a nature-looking staff, and lastly a woman holding a glowing orb. The silence was held for a while.

The leader was the one to break the silence.

"We are here, as members of The Silent Angels, to discuss important matters that need to be addressed. Asarirn quickly looked at the list before continuing. "Reports indicated that there are dragons sighted near small villages and towns, up in the northern region. Is there anybody willing to travel up there and get rid of them?"

A man with doesn't wield any weapon spoke up, "How much will this pay?"

Asarirn looked at the man, " They listed at 1,000."

Everyone mumbled to themselves asking themselves if they wanted to take this mission.

"Well, do we have anyone wanting to go?" said the weapon master causing everyone to be silent. "Well, discuss it with me afterward if you are interested. The next on the agenda is to ensure everyone maintains their physical performance with training."

The archer woman spoke up, sounding displeased, "What is the purpose of training ourselves? You're the one who recruited us based on our skills. There is no reason to continue to train ourselves."

"I'm not forcing anyone to train, you may or may not do so as you pleased, Eight," the leader responded. "I believed in everyone's skill here. However, I preferred everyone to be in their top condition. I will not tolerate anyone who can't perform their mission. If everyone understands what I am trying to say, let's show a hand."

Every other member showed their right hand to know they understood.

"Good. Well now, the next thing on the list will be addressed by Three," said Asarirn as he motions his hand toward the man with the mage staff.

The man with the mage staff stood up from his seat and bowed toward the rest of the group. The man proceeded to say, "Yes, a group of mages and I have recently discovered a portal."

"Yeah, a portal. Like we have seen one of those before," the man with the giant axe said sarcastically who found it to be funny. Asarirn turned his head and stared at the man with the giant axe, forcing him to regret those words. The man cleared his throat. "Sorry."

"Yes, we have used portals to get around from place to place," Three continued. "So, obviously, we know about portals. But that's not what we are dealing with."

"Just on with it," said the man who wields no weapon.

"Right," Three knowing he dragged this for a bit. "The portal that we discover leads to another world," he said going straight to the point.

The other members of the group started laughing at the thought of another world. Everyone else found it amusing except for the leader. The leader found the whole situation annoying and everyone finds it amusing. He ended the laugh by saying, "Quiet." Every member immediately stopped laughing.

"What makes you believe that this portal leads into another world?" asked Asarirn questioning the discovery.

This caused Three to feel uneasy for the leader wanted more information about the discovery. Also shocked the rest of the group with Asarirn's interest.

"Well," Three tried to find the words. "We managed to send some scouts through the portal. They came back with reports, stating there are monsters roaming around and people defending themselves with advanced technology."

"Do you believe these people could handle on their own?" asked the leader.

"I can't say for sure. But, if they were to need help, we don't know if they declare us as their enemies."

"We will provide our help, regardless. Besides, we learned to move through the shadow. Even if they don't need help."

"But," said the man who with no weapon, broke this conversation. "What if we don't need to help at all?"

"What are you talking about, Six?" Asarirn questioned his statement.

"Instead of helping the people of that world, we could just conquer them," tried to propose to the leader.

"No, we formed this group for a reason. To make the world a better place to live in," the leader sounded mad for even a member would want to do such a thing.

"But that's not even our world. We can test our abilities to see what we are capable of," Six tried to push the argument more. "To conquer other worlds. We can expand our group."

"This would be good to test our skills," the man with the giant axe agreed.

The man with the sword and shield spoke up, "Four, you should know by now, that I will not help anyone that going to hurt the innocent."

The woman with the glowing orb laughed at the man's statement. "Ten, why bother, we are, technically, a dangerous group. Many people feared us because of what we are capable of. Protecting or killing shouldn't matter, people would think the same of us."

"Quiet, Eleven, I swore to the light that I will protect anyone who can't protect themselves," Ten sounded irritated.

"Actually, I wanted a challenge for a while and this would be perfect for the challenge," the man spoke while balancing a dagger on one of his fingers.

"I don't believe you have the ability to accept this challenge, Two. I do believe, for you, it's about how long you can last in the world before running away," the man with the lance said jokingly.

"What was that, Five? I have the ability to…" Two was interrupted before he could finish. A sudden windstorm blew up in the room. The room slowly started to be consumed by a dark shadow forming from where the leader was.

Asarirn's voice roared in anger echoing throughout the hallway nearby. "I will not tolerate any member going against our beliefs!" The windstorm slowly let up and the shadow slowly receded back toward Asarirn. "I don't care what we are capable of. We formed this group to help people against threats."

"Then you are holding all of us back with your beliefs, Leader," Six barked to the leader. Everyone looked at Six for speaking out of turn against the leader.

The leader stood up from his seat while looking at Six. "Are you going to challenge me for leadership then, Six?" Asarirn questioned.

Six was hesitant as he stood there, knowing he would be unable to take him down by himself. He immediately sat down with his head looking down.

"No…Sorry, Sir…" was the only thing Six said.

"I thought so," was the only comment made by the leader before he sat back down in his chair. "We formed this group to help people in need. So, I expected no one to be a traitor in this group. Understand?

"Understood," all other members responded in sync.

"Back on topic, I will depart for that world and determine if they need our assistant," said the leader in the same tone he had before the argument.

"What if they don't need our help?" the woman with no weapons decided to speak up.

"Well, if that is the case, once I come back, I will close the portal for good," Asarirn responded rather quickly. "I will leave at nightfall, as for the rest of you, you may take the next two weeks off. Anyone wants to say something before we end this?"

Six stood from his chair and spoke, "Sorry for my outburst, earlier. As my apology, I would like to volunteer one of my students on your travels. He needs to learn how to survive in an unknown environment."

"Very well then, have your student meet at the portal gate by nightfall," he told Six. Six nodded in response. "Is there anyone who wants to say anything?" Asarirn asked the group. In a minute of silence indicating no one wanted to answer. "Dismissed," he said to end the meeting.

Asarirn stay sat down to allow the other members to leave first. Once the other members left the room, Asarirn proceeded to leave.

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn stepped out of the room while the door closed behind him. He started to head off down the hallway. After walking for a bit, he was found alone in the empty hallway. Suddenly, he noticed a regular black coat member walking down the hallway in the opposite direction. As they passed each other, the regular member bowed his head while Asarirn waved to him.

Asarirn stopped as soon as he passed the regular member. There was a moment of hesitation before he grabbed the handle of the blade on his waist. Asarirn pulled the blade while turning around in time to block the sword strike. Asarirn locked blades with the same regular member he just passed by.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Asarirn questioned while holding his ground.

The person in question did not say a word to Asarirn. The person continued to push against the blade. Asarirn delivered a kick to the man's sides to catch him off guard. Asarirn broke free of his blade and unleashed a series of sword strikes. The person had a hard time blocking all the attacks. Asarirn finished his attacks by slapping the person's sword away before stabbing his blade straight through the chest. The person struggled ends as he fell to the floor.

"Guards!" Asarirn called out for help.

Asarirn started to jog down the hallway while holding his blade. Two members ran around the corner with one a sword and another with a spear. Despite wearing black coats, they are wearing metal gauntlets and boots with plated shoulder pads. Asarirn stopped as they approached him.

"What happened?" one of the guards asked.

"I was attacked," Asarirn explained. "Follow me!"

Asarirn headed towards the place where he had his recent battle while two guards followed him. However, as they approached the area, there was nobody to be found. Not even a drop of blood is to be found anywhere. Asarirn stopped as he was confused. He noticed the blood remained on his blade. Asarirn started to question what was happening.

"Sir?" one of the guards tried to get his attention.

Asarirn snapped out of his thoughts. He quickly wiped the blood off his blade before turning to the guards.

"Sorry to deceive you two," Asarirn explained as he sheathed his blade. "I wanted to see the response time of our guards reacting to the call for help."

"Oh, you had us for a moment, Sir," the guard relaxed. "I hope our response time was to your liking."

"You did just fine," Asarirn commented. "Return to your patrol."

The two guards bowed to the leader before heading back to their original location. Asarirn stared at the location where he killed his attacker. After a moment, the assistant came running down the hallway. He stopped in front of Asarirn.

"Sorry I missed you, Master," the assistant apologized. "I had some paperwork that needed to be delivered. "How was the meeting?"

"Never mind that. I want you to meet me in my room in five minutes," Asarirn sounded concerned at that moment.

"Understood," said the assistant in a serious tone. He knew something had happened as he quickly departed.

Asarirn waited until the coast was clear before he proceeds with his action. He moved his hands in a strange motion which caused his body to glow. Moments later, he turned invisible. Asarirn focuses his mind in order to track down Six. After Asarirn found Six's presence, he moved toward his location. Asarirn was very good at stealth, so it wasn't hard to slip through people.

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn found Six at a random location in the building and proceeded to follow him. Six walked through the hallway until he walked up to a regular member, who walked in the opposite direction. They stopped, standing next to each other without looking at each other.

"You will be going to travel to the new world with our leader for a scouting mission," Six said while handing the member a mysterious-looking dagger. The dagger has some strange writing on it.

"You know what to do," ended with that before he walked away.

The member nodded in response, understanding what Six wanted from him. They both departed without saying anything anymore.

Asarirn was surprised at what he just learned. He thought to himself, "Is Six a traitor to the organization? Is it only him or are there others working with him?" He snapped out of that thought and reminded himself to meet the assistant back in his room. He departed for his room.

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn entered his room, he found his assistant waiting for him in his room. He closed the door behind him to prevent others from listening.

"I want you to go get a large bag and fill it with medical supplies, some potions, rations, and enough room for some books," Asarirn said as he started to pull out his books from his shelf.

"Would you like to tell me what is going on?" sounded concerned.

"We'll be going to the new world for a scouting mission," Asarirn pointed out.

"I don't think you need these many supplies for just a scouting mission. What is going on, Master?" He questioned his choice.

"I will tell you, later. Just go get the supplies."

"Very well. What kind of potions would you need?" The assistant tried to help.

"Health, regeneration, and mana. Also, make sure you get some supplies for yourself."

"Very well," said the assistant before leaving to get the supplies.

While Asarirn waited for his assistant to come back with the supplies, he pulled out long pieces of paper from his desk and set them on top of his desk. Asarirn pulled out a writing utensil and began drawing magical circles on each paper. Each piece of paper contained at least two magic circles, a big circle in the middle and a little one towards one of the corners. Once that was done, he began placing stacks of books in the big magic circle. He placed his hand on the small magic circles and chanted a word, causing the books to disappear in a flash of light. The only thing that was left on the paper was a random symbol in the middle of the big circle. He proceeded to do the same thing for the rest of the books on his shelf. He finished it with only using about seven pieces of paper.

The assistant managed to return with two large bags. The bag was made out of leather with a long strap attached to it. The bag itself can carry a lot of stuff.

"I brought the stuff you asked for, Master," he said while handing a bag to Asarirn.

"Thank you." Asarirn started to place the papers into the bag.

"With all the stuff you asked for, I believed you would want this also," the assistant handed Asarirn a small box. Asarirn peered into the box and inside the box contained reddish-orange feathers. He knew very well the kind of feather they were. These were phoenix feathers. He counted the feathers and came with five feathers. Asarirn was surprised at how the assistant managed to get a hold of these feathers.

"How did you get these feathers?" Asarirn sounded surprised.

"I got my ways of getting stuff," he didn't want to say anymore.

"Well, thank you. This means a lot for you to give me these," Asarirn said while putting the box in the large bag. Both Asarirn and his assistant waved their hand over their bags in a quick motion. The bag turned into a glowing orb, which faded into their hands. "With that done, we are ready to depart."

"Understood," said the assistant as they started to leave the room. They both left the room, both knowing they won't be coming back here for a while.
