The moonlight was shining brightly on my face in that night sky. And under this beautiful moon with thousands of stars, people were happily walking along the streets, some people were drunk, others were in groups talking while giggling every now and then.
It was a peaceful sight that showed how good this city that these people were living in at the moment could be, or maybe these happy people were just keeping their pain and hurt inside themselves.
And in a luxurious apartment, a little far away from the center of the city, a boy was lying on a big luxurious looking bed, while looking up at the ceiling of his apartment, his eyes were still a little blurred and at the same time confused, showing that he had just woken up.
This boy ran his eyes all over the room he was now in, but the sight he was seeing at the moment only made him more and more confused.
Despite the luxurious bed, all he found in this room was only a wooden table with a computer in the corner, a half-open closet that showed that this boy had only used it a short time ago, a stand with some books he didn't know about, and there was also a television with a console that appeared not to work anymore due to its worn out state.
"Where am I? Altair wondered, as he continued to observe the confused surroundings.
He got up from the bed, and walked towards a window he saw in the room he was currently in, and the moment he put his head out the window, he saw that everything was dark with the only thing illuminated being the moon, and a few streetlamps.
Altair was a little scared, he didn't know where he was or even what time it was currently.

Altair blinked his eyes several times because of the strange screen that had appeared in his eyes. ''Isn't this like those stories where a hero is reincarnated in another world and is given a system to help him?''
It was then that Altair realized that he had been sent to another world, one that had many similarities to his past life, at least that's what he currently felt, he could only confirm this with more certainty when he went outside his room, or researched it on the internet.
''Maybe it was for the best... In my past life I was never someone important or of value, so here things might be a little different, at least I hope so...''
Altair continued looking at the screen that was in front of his eyes and he saw that there was a new message available for him.
[Tutorial available, do you wish to start it?]
[Yes] [No]
Altair knew that this was a cliché situation, since every protagonist who received a system would always go through a tutorial explaining the functions of the system, and even if he already had some knowledge about systems, he would still have to go through this.
Even though it was cliché, he still accepted, since he was curious if this system would be similar to those he had read several times in his past life. In addition he would like to know the reason he was brought into this world, since he doesn't remember being run over by a truck or anything like that.
All he remembers doing was coming home from work tired after an extremely exhausting day, and right after coming home from work he went to take a shower and watch some anime.
Did just watching anime kill me? If that were the reason it would be funny and tragic at the same time.'' A self-deprecating smile appeared on Altair's face.
[It has been detected that the host has many questions, in this case I will be answering your questions, so what do you wish to know, host?]
''So I am a 'Host'... Alright, I would like to know where I am currently, and when I say where I am, I want to know the world.'' This question is really cliché, but he knew it was of utmost importance, as he had a feeling that things might get a bit complicated from here on out.
[Responding to the host... You currently find yourself in the world of High
School DxD]
[The city you are currently in is the city of Kuoh, located in Japan]
''So it is this world...'' A slight sigh escaped Altair's lips, who was now lost in thought about the world he was currently in.
While thinking, he saw his reflection through the window in which he was standing, his red hair swayed due to the wind that entered through the window of his room, while his golden colored eyes reflected a slight sadness that could not be hidden, as if that person had gone through a lot of pain in his life.
He could also see the clothes he was in, and they might look plain and ordinary at first, but as he ran his hand over the clothes, he could see that the fabric was of high quality, which probably cost a lot of money to make.
Putting his thoughts aside, Altair decided to focus on the now, as this was the most important thing he could do at the moment.
''Since you are a system that has been linked to my person, I assume you can show me my current status correct?''
[Yes, that is the most basic function of your system. I will show you your status immediately]
After the system finished speaking, a huge screen appeared in front of Altair, causing him to be momentarily surprised. This screen didn't have anything very special, but what surprised him a little was the precise information from his body, even though he had expected this it was still impressive.
He also noticed that even if he moved his head to the side, the system screen followed him, which showed that it was embedded in his eyes or maybe in his soul, he couldn't tell at the moment.
[Name: Altair Lockheart]
[Lineage: Human]
[Title: None]
[Level: 01]
[HP: 100/100]
[MP: 10/10]
[STR: 10]
[VIT: 10]
[INT: 20]
[DEX: 10]
[LUK: 10]
[Points: 0]
Altair didn't know how strong he currently was, but he had a hunch that an average human would have a 10 on all attributes, something that was very common in the histories he had read that had a system.
He was only surprised by his intelligence, but he attributed this amount of 20 points to his past life, in which he spent a good deal of time reading or thinking about random things.
Altair still needed some more detailed information about his status, so he decided to ask the system.
''Can you give me more details, about this status page?''
[Understood!]
Before Altair could react, a considerable amount of screens appeared in his eyes, and they all had different information, causing him to have a slight headache digesting so much information in a short time.
''At least this system acts quickly.'' Saying this, he began to pay attention to the new windows of information that were in front of him.
[MP: These are your Mana Points. The amount of MP is variable for each lineage, only a few humans possess Mana, and all those who do are considered blessed by heaven].
[HP: These are your Life Points. The amount of HP is variable for each lineage, and you, as a Human, have an HP that corresponds to 10x your VIT]
[STR: These are your physical abilities (strength, endurance, longevity, durability, healing time and combat abilities)]
[VIT: Is your vitality (Mental, spiritual, emotional and sexual health)]]
[INT: Is your intelligence (Memorization ability, learning ability, information processing ability, deduction, reasoning)]]
[DEX: Is your dexterity (Agility, flexibility, reflexes, senses, speed, accuracy and body coordination)]]
[LUK: It's your luck. This improves all aspects of life: Work, social, romantic, personal, financial, school and basically life as a whole will become easier, happier and you will excel completely]
Altair was a bit impressed with the information he received, especially the information about Mana Points, since that showed that humans were probably the weakest race in the supernatural world.
''So I am someone blessed by heaven? That's a little funny I would say...'' Altair remembered that God in this world was dead, and that the sky that the Angels currently control is probably a complete mess, so much so that in the future this would bring several problems, besides the fact that things that would normally be impossible would happen because of the mess that the sky is currently in.
Another thing that made Altair think was that within the races there were hierarchies, as for example the Devils were classified into several classes, the weakest being a Low Class Devil, and the strongest being an Ultimate Class Devil.
Of course he knew that these classifications usually couldn't represent their level of strength, since he remembered very clearly the difference between beings of the same class, an example of this would be Rias who was many times weaker than Riser, both being High Class Devils.
And this hierarchy would only get more confusing in the future, as Issei would appear and beat Riser who was an Upper Class Devil, while he himself was only a Lower Class Devil.
Altair decided to think about these hierarchy things in the future, since what mattered most to him now was only one thing... a starter pack.
When he read stories that contained a system aspect in his past life, he remembered that the protagonists always received a starter pack, which would help him insert himself into the world he was in, so Altair also wished to receive a starter pack, since he had some doubts if he could get involved in this chaotic world without any kind of help at first.
[Responding to the host... You have a starter pack in your inventory]
[Do you wish to open it?]
[Yes] [No]
Altair didn't have to think much, and immediately pressed the button written 'Yes', even if that was strange since for people who weren't seeing the system screen, Altair would have just pressed the blank in front of him.
[You have acquired 03 skills!]
[You have acquired 100 points!]
[Player Body]
- Level: Max
- Description: Gives a body that allows the user to experience the real world as if it were a game.
[Player Mind]
- Level: Max.
- Description: Allows the user to think logically and calmly about situations. It allows a state of mental peace and immunity against psychological effects.
[Gate of Babylon]
- Level: 01
- Description: It's the Treasury of the King of Uruk, Gilgamesh. It is the warehouse that Gilgamesh built to store all the treasures of the world that he claimed in life, known as the "Divine Gate". It connects reality space to the vault, opening an "invisible door" between dimensions that allows the contents to pass through at the command of its owner. By allowing easy access to the treasure items, the user is able to choose and use them as they wish. It is an ability that becomes more powerful with the wealth of the user, however, it will not be useful without a wealth of valuables.
- Effect: The user can summon items directly into his hands, draw weapons directly behind you, or prepare multiple weapons in the air, loaded like bullets. This ability is named as such because Babylon has become synonymous with ''Capital of sin'' and ''Capital of gold.
''Things just got more interesting.'' Seeing his latest skill a cold smile appeared on Altair's face.
The first two skills didn't make him too surprised, quite the opposite, he had already expected something like this.
But this last ability, the Gate of Babylon, this was a surprise to Altair, but an extremely pleasant one.
Altair knew that inside the Gate of Babylon, there were two extremely powerful weapons, which could easily mess up this world if put out, and this made an evil smile appear on his face.
''This gets more interesting by the moment.'' He shuddered at the thought of the two weapons that were in the Gate of Babylon.
But even if he is tempted to use his skill now, he knows that it wouldn't be possible, after all his skill was currently at level 01. Moreover, he is not strong enough to wield either of these two weapons that could destroy this world.
Which made him regret the pathetic strength he currently had.
Even if he can't use those two weapons yet, he knows of other Noble Phantasms that were inside the Gate Of Babylon that he could use at the moment.
''I'll think about that later, at the moment I'll just assign the points I gained in my attributes.'' Altair realized that there was no money option in the system, so he was in doubt if his points would also have to be used to level up his skills, or if in the future he would receive another type of points to use on them.
Altair's Status looked like this after he assigned the points to his attributes.
[Name: Altair Lockheart]
[Lineage: Human]
[Title: None]
[Level: 01]
[HP: 300/300]
[MP: 10/10]
[STR: 30] (↑20)
[VIT: 30] (↑20)
[INT: 40] (↑20)
[DEX: 30] (↑20)
[LUK: 30](↑20)
[Points: 0]
Altair opted for a balanced style, since he remembers reading a story in his past life that a person had concentrated all of his ability on just one attribute, and eventually that person could no longer live normally, since he had very powerful strength, but his body did not match that enormous strength.
And this was something Altair would not like to see, besides, he prefers to have a balanced status, because in his view the benefits will be greater in the future.
Besides, Altair doesn't want to attract too much attention from the owners of this city, since at the moment he is too weak to face them.
It looks like I will have a lot of fun in this world. Altair said with a smile on his face as he went back to his bed, for tomorrow would be a long day for him.
