The night continued to cover the dorm room in darkness. Everyone simply slept through it, well everyone except for Ruby. Ruby was the only one having trouble sleeping. She tossed and turned in attempt to sleep, but all in failure. The reason for this was one thought rest in her mind; fear. The one thing she feared the most was the nightmares she had previously. It's at the point, she was staring into the ceiling in deep thought.

I thought I shouldn't have a problem now, Ruby thought to herself. She looked over her bed and saw Asarirn below, asleep. He continued to wear the coat, which he laid on one of his side with his arms crossed. That's the reason Ruby couldn't sleep. I met him in my dream before I actually met him in real life. What does it mean? Does it mean it's going to happen later on? She looked at Asarirn, once more, Ruby believed Asarirn might hold the answers she was looking for.

Ruby looked at Asarirn and noticed he doesn't have a blanket. That gave her an idea. She had a spare blanket in case she was cold. She going to use it as a way to talk to Asarirn. Ruby jumped down from her with the blanket in hand. She scanned the area before she moved toward Asarirn. Everyone being asleep gave Ruby the chance to move on with her plan.

Ruby stood beside Asarirn's bed and attempt to wake him. The moment Ruby's hand came close to his shoulder, Asarirn spring from his bed with his stance readied. Ruby was about to scream but she covered her mouth before she could. She quickly noticed Asarirn held out his arm, like he was about to summon his blade. Asarirn stopped as he noticed Ruby. Asarirn sat back on his bed.

"What are you doing?" Asarirn whispered to Ruby. He quickly looked around to see he haven't woken up the rest of the girls.

"What was that?" Ruby asked. Asarirn doesn't look the fact Ruby answered his question with another question.

"I felt someone was staring at me for the past hour," Asarirn explained. "So, I was on guard. What are you doing down here?"

"Well, I noticed you didn't have a blanket," Ruby started to explain, she held out the blanket to Asarirn. "Since I have a spare blanket, might as well give it to you." Asarirn looked at the blanket and then back at Ruby. "You know, so you don't get cold at night."

Asarirn couldn't figure out what was Ruby up to. Asarirn remembered Glynda clearly stated he doesn't have a blanket. So, why Ruby notice it now? Asarirn knew Ruby want something from him and decided to go straight to the point.

"Thank you," he said as he grabbed the blanket from Ruby. "But, something tells me, there is something you want to from me."

"Well, can we talk outside for a bit? If it's alright with you."

Asarirn let out a sigh and nodded. The moment Asarirn tried to stand up, his body jerked in pain. Ruby noticed this.

"Are you alright?"

"I guess my body is just tired. I think I'm going to be pretty sore in the morning." Asarirn quickly stood up and ignored the pain. He proceeded to follow Ruby out the door of the room.

Ruby and Asarirn sat by the wall outside of their room.

"So, what is it that you want from me?" Asarirn asked once more.

"Well, it's more like getting this off my chest," Ruby started to explain. "I couldn't sleep because of it."

"Okay, what is it that you have to say?" Asarirn asked again. He yawned to show it's the middle of the night.

"Sorry," Ruby apologized. "I will get straight to the point." Ruby was hesitate to say the thing in her mind, but she pushed herself to say it. "I saw you in my dreams before meeting you in real life." Even with the hood on, Ruby could tell Asarirn was confuse by the way Asarirn tilt his head. Ruby felt embarrassed by the way she said it. I swear that sounded better in my head…

"Explain this dream of yours."

"Well, there is a dark place," Ruby started to explain. That caught Asarirn's attention and he listened. "I was on the ground and I couldn't move. You were off to the distance and running toward us. The moment you caught up to me, you tried to help me. But, a man who wore the same coat as you attacked you. You managed to knock the guy into the ground. But…" Ruby's words trailed off by the thought that was going to happen next.

Asarirn could not believe what he was hearing. Impossible… "What happen next?" Asarirn tried to confirm his theory.

"Well, the man you knocked down managed to recover and managed to stab you in the back," Ruby continued.

What does this mean? How could she have my fate's dream? Asarirn questioned himself. "Is that when the dream ended or there was more to it?"

"After the man killed you, the man looked at me and approached me."

"Did the man killed you also?"

"I don't know, I screamed before he could get me. Because of it, I kept waking up from it."

Asarirn thought about what Ruby describe the dream. It's true the dream, Ruby described, is the same as the Fate's dream Asarirn had encountered. But why does Ruby had the same dream?

"Did you had the same dream?"

"It's true, I do have the same dream."

Asarirn continued to ponder about the statement Ruby made. I can't tell if this girl encountered the Fate's dream or not. Fate's dream foretold one's moment of death by repeating its self, multiple times. But, this girl never encountered her death. Why…

"How long did you have that dream?" Asarirn questioned.

"I had it for a while, until recently it stopped," Ruby said.

I believed it stopped the same time as I have stopped having those dreams, Asarirn thought to himself.

"Do you know something that I need to know?"

"Well-"

Asarirn was interrupted when the door to their room opened. Yang popped out with a smile on her face.

"What are you two, lovebirds doing?" Yang teased.

"Why are you awake?" Ruby questioned.

"I got thirsty and wanted some water," Yang explained.

Yang and Ruby watched Asarirn struggled to stand up.

"I think its start to get pretty late," Asarirn started to explain. "I need my rest."

"Oh…" Ruby said. She gave a disappointed look before she stood up and followed Asarirn into the room. Yang watched the two with a concern look before heading out.

Asarirn turned to Ruby and bowed. "Thank you for the blanket," Asarirn said.

"It's nothing. Thank you for listening to me."

Ruby was about to climb up to her bed until Asarirn said something. "Just letting you know, if you are not encountering that dream anymore, then you shouldn't be worry about it." Ruby smiled by that thought as she climbed into her bed. She felt better after talking to Asarirn and actually felt tired enough to fall asleep. Her mind trailed into sleep off by one thought. I shouldn't worry…

Asarirn laid on his bed as he covered himself with the blanket. The pain of his body subsided as he laid perfectly still. Asarirn knew the soreness of his body is only the beginning. One thought still laid in Asarirn's mind, Ruby's dreams. Let just hope this is the end. But I should know by now, no one can escape fate. He dismissed the thought as turned onto his side and covered himself more with the blanket. He found a small smell of strawberries from the blanket. He smiled as he used the smell as a way to have a peaceful thought before he fell asleep.

-*RWBY*-

The night of the city of vale turned into daylight for another day for people to move up and about. Team RWBY's dorm had a peaceful quiet morning until the alarm clock started to buzz. Yang was the first one to wake up and climbed down to turn off the alarm clock. Yang let out a big yawn as she tried to wake herself up. She grabbed her shirt and lifted it off, exposing her breast. She tried to pull down her black shorts, but a pillow was thrown at Yang's face to prevent her from going any farther. That made Yang angry. She quickly looked for the culprit that done this to her, until she locked eyes with Ruby and knew it was her.

"Hey! What was that for?!" Yang shouted at Ruby.

Yang noticed Ruby's responds as she pointed towards Asarirn, who appeared to be asleep. Asarirn was laying on his stomach, shielding his eyes from the sunlight. Yang quickly realized her mistake and covered her breast with her arms in embarrassment. Shortly afterwards, Weiss got up from her bed and gone straight for her towel and robe, then gone straight out the door. She practically ignored the whole situation.

"I guess he's a heavy sleeper," Yang claimed as she quickly put on some clothes.

"I doubt it," Blake said. Yang and Ruby looked over to Blake's bed and found Blake reading one of her books. "Hey, Arranis, are you awake," Blake called out to Asarirn.

"Sadly…" Asarirn said as he haven't made any movements.

"Why didn't you get up?" Ruby asked.

"There's a reason for that," Asarirn said.

"Ok look, I didn't mean to, I simply forgot you were here," Yang quickly explained.

"That's not it," Asarirn claimed. "There's another reason."

"Ok then, why are you not getting up right now?" Yang asked.

No responds from Asarirn as he continued to laid on his bed. A short ring caught everyone's attention. Asarirn reached under his pillow and pulled out his scroll. He handed it to Ruby without looking as he continued to rest in his bed.

Ruby gave a confuse look before opening Asarirn's scroll. A message bubble appeared, indicating a chat request. To Ruby's surprise, the request was from Professor Ozpin himself.

"It's Ozpin," Ruby explained. Yang walked up to Ruby and looked over her shoulder. Even Blake slipped out her bed to join them.

"Morning, how was your sleep?" The message appeared on the screen.

Ruby quickly typed into the screen. "This is Ruby, Arranis handed me his scroll."

"I see. I'm going to ask Arranis, a series of questions. I want you to relay the messages and input his answers. If that's all right with you."

"Professor Ozpin is going to ask you some question, Arranis," Ruby told him. They noticed Asarirn shifted a bit as if he was ready to listen to the questions.

Ruby continued to type into the scroll. "Go for it!"

"Very Well. How was your stay in Team RWBY's room, so far?"

"How was your stay in our room, so far?" Ruby asked Asarirn. Asarirn slowly lifted his hand from under the blanket. He made it, so the hand was in the horizontal position, giving the 'so-so' gesture.

Everyone gave an angry and disappointed look toward Asarirn. Ruby said as she typed into the scroll, "It was better than I expected to be. I had a great time here."

Asarirn lifted his head toward them and glared at them. Ruby only smiled in responds as she knew he was glaring at them. Asarirn knew he shouldn't gave them his scroll but he had a reason why. He laid his head back down in defeat.

"The battle must have taken a toll on your body. Have you recovered from it?"

"Have you recovered from the last battle?" Ruby continued to ask.

"Somewhat," Asarirn answered.

"Somewhat."

"Are you sore, Arranis, enough that you can't participate in the entrance exam?"

"Is that the reason you didn't get out of bed, is because you are sore?" Ruby asked.

No responds.

"He didn't answer that question, I'm assuming that's a yes."

"How sore is he?"

"How sore are you, Arranis?"

"Oh, I got this. I can tell how sore he is," Yang stated. She walked up to Asarirn's bed. Yang quickly grabbed Asarirn's arm and lifted slightly. Everyone noticed Asarirn's body jerked in responds as Asarirn let out a small noise of pain. Yang quickly let go of his arm. "Oops, sorry, I didn't expect you to be that sore."

"Give me that," Asarirn ordered as he slowly risen from his bed. Ruby handed back his scroll. Asarirn tried his best to message Ozpin. How long since I used this kind of technology? Let alone simple texting! He recall how long, since he used a phone. Four years…Of course… He finished his message as it stated, "This is Asarirn, and it's true I have a problem moving my body around due to soreness."

"I wouldn't be surprise, considering you never had proper rest up to this point."

"What should I do then, proceed with the entrance?"

"No, that's far too dangerous in your current state. I want you to rest for the day and postpone your exam until tomorrow. Understand?

"Yes, sir."

"Good then, enjoy your rest and tell Team RWBY to not be late for class."

Asarirn closed his scroll and laid back down on his stomach once more.

"So, what did he say?" Ruby asked one last time.

"I was told to rest for the day and I was suppose do my exam tomorrow," Asarirn stated as he covered himself with the blanket to begin his rest.

"Ah, lucky. I wish we could of rest also," Yang said.

"I more thing," said Asarirn, "Ozpin said to you, don't be late for class."

"Wait…" Ruby realized they have lost track of time. "What time is it?"

"It's 8:10," A voice was heard from behind. Weiss entered the room and sat on one of the desk. She began to brush her hair. "You're going to have barely any time to eat breakfast, if you shower now."

"Oh, right!" Ruby quickly reached for the dresser and grabbed her towel and such.

"Hey Arranis, I need you to leave the room, I need to change."

"No can do Weiss," Ruby said as she handed Blake and Yang their towels. "Arranis is in no condition to move around."

"Why?"

"Apparently, his body is too sore to move around."

"You can't expect me to change while he's in the room," Weiss retorted. Asarirn responded by slowly grabbed his pillow and placed it over his head, covering his sights.

"Well, that solved it," Yang said as she followed Ruby and Blake out the door. "We'll be back shortly."

"But," Weiss could only managed to say as she watched the rest of her team left the room. She moved her attention towards to Asarirn, who continued to lay motionless. She thought to herself that she couldn't possibly change while he was in the room. But, she couldn't let this get in her way. So, she settled her decision. "You better not dare try to see me change," She ordered.

"I have no intention to do such a thing," Asarirn replied back.

Weiss walked up to her dresser; she pulled out her bra and panties. She started to unravel her bath robe. She allowed the robe to fall off her body, leaving her naked out in the open. She quickly covered herself with arms; right arm over her breast and her left hand over her private area. Weiss looked back to Asarirn to see if he was doing any funny business. She felt extremely embarrass to do something indecent in front a guy. When Weiss knew for sure he haven't moved, she quickly pull on her underwear and strapped on her bra. Once done, she proceed to put on her school uniform. She occasionally looked back to Asarirn while changing, now and then, if anything changed from him.

Once Weiss finished dressing up and fixed her hair, she waited patiently for the others to return. But, in her mind, she believed this is her chance to ask Asarirn some questions. She sat her bed and stared at Asarirn for a bit before asking, "Hey, there is something I want to ask you."

"Why does everyone have to ask me questions?" Asarirn questioned from underneath his pillow. He shouldn't be surprise at this point.

"Considering you haven't gave any information to anyone, of course, people are going to ask questions."

Asarirn gave it some thought. "That's true. What do you want from me?" Asarirn sounded tired. All he wanted, right now, was rest.

"I want you to tell me where you got those Mystical Blades and why do you hide your face," Weiss had gone straight to the point. Asarirn shifted his pillow a bit, allowing Weiss to see his head. Even though, Asarirn had the pillow in a way that the shadow covered his face. But, Weiss knew she had Asarirn's attention.

"I have no intention to tell you that," Asarirn replied.

"For the blades or you?"

"Both."

Weiss was about to interrogate Asarirn with some more question but the door opened, interrupting her. She looked toward the door to find the rest of her team entered the room. She watched as Ruby rushed for her uniform from dresser. Ruby stopped and looked at Weiss.

"Umm… Weiss?" She tried to get her attention. "Why are you staring at Arranis, while he's resting?"

Weiss quickly shifted her gaze back upon Asarirn. She noticed he had already moved his pillow, covering his face once more. She passed a glaring look at Asarirn before she could answer.

"I was trying to make sure, he doesn't peep or anything," Weiss explained. Ruby gave a simple simile before continuing on. The rest of Weiss' team started to change into their uniform. None of them didn't felt embarrass as much, considering Weiss changed while Asarirn was with her. So, they felt they can change without having any issues.

Once the team had finished prepping their uniform for their day to come. They ensured that they have everything they need before heading out.

"Hurry up, I'm starving!" Yang waited impatiently.

Ruby looked back to Asarirn. "Are you sure you're going to okay?"

"I should be fine," Asarirn stated. "I just need to rest."

"Okay then," Ruby said as she headed out the door. The rest of her team followed behind her as they headed for their cafeteria and classes afterwards.

-*RWBY*-

Later that day, during lunchtime, Team RWBY had entered the cafeteria.

"You know what have I noticed?" Yang said to everyone. "We don't even know how old Arranis is."

"And why is that important?" Weiss claimed.

"I don't know," Yang continued, "but, does it make you wonder about it?"

"You seem to have a point."

Ruby noticed Glynda Goodwitch stood by the entrance, monitoring the students. That gave her the idea to approach her. Her team noticed Ruby started to walk toward Glynda and decided to follow her.

"Hello, Professor Goodwitch," Ruby greeted to grab her attention.

"Oh, why hello, Ms. Rose," Glynda replied. "How may I help you?"

"By any chance, you could tell us Arranis' age?" Ruby asked.

"I cannot simply give out other students' personal information," Glynda explained. That respond disappointed most of the team except for Ruby.

"But, you are not giving out his personal information, just his age," Ruby pressed on. "Besides, we have the right to know since he's living with us."

Glynda thought to herself, considering Ruby's statement. "Very well." Glynda started to search, on her scroll, for Arranis Shadow's records. Once she found the information, she was surprised that his personal records was fill in expect for a picture. "The boy is currently seventeen years old. Is that all, Ms. Rose?"

"That should be all, thank you for your time," Ruby thanked her. Glynda walked off to continue her tasks, leaving Team RWBY by themselves.

-*RWBY*-

Glynda gave a good distance between her and Team RWBY. Once she knew, for sure, she was alone, she looked back at her Scroll. The information for Arranis Shadow remained on her screen. She looked back through Arranis' personal information until the section that caught her attention.

Parent/Guardian: Professor Ozpin

"Why?" Glynda asked to herself as she continued think about what Ozpin's plans were.

-*RWBY*-

"I can't believe he's seventeen," Yang said.

"Why?" Blake asked.

"Have you seen his skills with his swords against that Blaze guy," Yang stated, "it's unbelievable. I think it's far better than Blake. No offends."

Blake decided to let that go for now. She had to admit that Asarirn's skill are far better than any she had seen.

The team obtained their food and headed for a table which four other people had occupied. The table was consist of a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes; a girl with long red hair and green eyes; another girl with short orange hair and light blue eyes; and another boy with black hair and pink eyes. Each wore their respected school uniform.

"Hey, guys," Ruby greeted as her team sat down with the other team.

"Hey, Ruby," the orange hair girl greeted. "As was I saying, I wondered if he a psychopath or something."

"What's she on about, Ren?" Ruby asked to the black hair boy.

"Oh, Nora is talking about the murderer," Ren explained.

"Murder?" Blake questioned.

"Don't tell me you don't know about the murderer!" Nora sounded surprise. "The murderer is at large!"

"What is she talking about?" Weiss asked.

"There have been a video leaked on the internet," Ren started to explain. "Ever since, there have been multiple murders around Vale."

"What's the video about?" Yang asked.

"The video is about a man with a black coat killed someone in action," The blonde hair explained.

"Don't tell me you believe that nonsense, Jaune?" the red hair asked.

"Pyrrha, please. I don't believe in that stuff," Jaune stated.

"Don't tell the black coat had red trims all over," Ruby asked.

"Yeah that's the one," Jaune said. "How did you know?"

"His name is Arranis. He living in our room, right now," Weiss explained. "He's just enrolled to this school."

The four person group froze in shock. They couldn't believe what they just heard. They tried to figure out if they are just playing around or actually being serious.

"You can't be serious, you need to report this," Jaune stated as he jumped up from his seat.

"Relax," Blake tried to calm the group, "this was a simple misunderstanding."

"Besides," Ruby continued. "Who would he kill anyway?"

"In the video," Ren responded. "That Arranis guy killed a guy wearing the same coat."

"Meaning?" Yang said.

"He killed his own comrade…" Jaune finished it.

"Look, guys," Weiss grabbed their attention. "I don't know if whether it was him or not. He's not a murderer. He cleared it with Professor Ozpin."

Yang stood up from her seat and started to head for the exit.

"Where are you going?" Ruby noticed her leaving.

"Oh, I just forgot my textbook for the next class," Yang explained. "Don't wait up on me."

"Okay…" Ruby said as she watched Yang leave.

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn stood in the middle of street in Vale. He looked around and noticed a man in a black robe staring at him. The man in the black robe summoned the black demonic blade before lunging at Asarirn. Asarirn summoned his Ice Weaver and blocked the incoming attack, causing both blades to be locked in an internal struggle. Asarirn managed to break free and jumped back as Blaze appeared as Blaze attempted to slash at Asarirn.

"Give up, Asarirn, you are outnumbered," Blaze pointed out.

"I don't think two people could really outnumbered me," Asarirn claimed.

"Are you sure about that, Asarirn?" the person in the black robe asked.

Asarirn quickly noticed his was surrounded by other people in robes, each held a blade. Asarirn summoned his other Ice Weaver and readied his stance for the incoming attack. He watched as the group started to walk slowly toward Asarirn.

"Why do you use that weapon?" the black robe person asked. "You know better than anyone, that isn't prefer blade to use."

Asarirn ignored the man's words and he continued to be in his defensive position. He noticed his blades started to be cover in black smoke. The woman in the purple robe swung her sword toward Asarirn as he was caught in surprise. He quickly parried, in time, with his off-hand. He tried for the counter-attack, but the enemy jumped back in responds.

Asarirn quickly dismissed his blades and summoned them once more. Once again, the blades started to cover in black smoke.

Each of the people in a robe held out their blades. Asarirn watched that each of the blades transformed into a bigger version of the blades.

Asarirn couldn't comprehend what was happening. That's when the man in the black robe suddenly appeared in front him. Asarirn couldn't react in time as the man stabbed into his chest. The man pulled the blade out and Asarirn slowly collapsed onto the ground. "You can't save everyone, Asarirn. You will only doom yourself," the man in the black robe said before Asarirn blacked out.

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn jumped up from his bed from shock. He looked around the room and reminded himself he was in Team RWBY's Room. It wasn't Fate's dream he had experience, more like a nightmare to him. He shook the thoughts out before laying back down.

Asarirn simply laid on his bed, staring into the ceiling to pass the time. He couldn't sleep besides of that nightmare, knowing he had a lot on his mind. He lifted his hand to feel the soreness before putting it back down. The soreness started to go away, but Asarirn didn't care about that.

Asarirn slowly rose from his bed and sat on the side of the bed. Asarirn started to open up his black coat, showing his black shirt. He lifted up his shirt, revealing a large cut on his left side. The cut, itself, has stopped bleeding and started to close up. He recalled his memory of the battle between Blaze and him.

Flashback…

Both Asarirn and Blaze both dashed at each other for their final attack. In that very moment when Asarirn and Blaze came close to each other, Asarirn shifted his right blade horizontally to Blaze's neck. As the blade came, Blaze shifted his neck, ever so slightly, enough to barely dodging the attack, as he slashed at Asarirn's side.

As they passed each other, Asarirn swung his left sword out. He felt he had made contact with Blaze's back before completely passed each other.

They stood from opposite side, looking away from each other, hoping one of other person would fall.

Flashback End…

Asarirn sighed as he continued to stare at the wound. Even though the wound, itself, was closing. But the wound was closing at extremely slow pace. He brought his shirt down to cover his injury.

Asarirn continued to sit on his bed as he was pondering about the pervious fights. He noticed the level of fighting between Blaze and Asarirn. Am I going to be forced to fight at their level?

After a moment later, Asarirn held out his hand and summoned Ice Weaver. He looked at his blade before closing his eyes. The blade started to glow as little particle swirl around it. "The coldness of Ice chill my enemies. Reveal your…" He was interrupted when he heard the door opening. He quickly made Ice Weaver vanished. He turned his attention turned the door and found it be Yang.

Yang watched Asarirn, as he was staring at her, when she entered the room.

"I see you are up," Yang stated. "Care to join me for lunch?"

"No…I'm fine. I just need to continue resting."

Yang walked up to Asarirn.

"Stand up for a bit."

Asarirn only stared at Yang, trying to figure out what her intentions were.

"C'mon, just do it."

Asarirn stood up and Yang quickly grabbed his arm and lifted it up. Asarirn jerked a bit when his arm reached a certain elevation. "Yeah, you still need your rest. Sorry to bother you," Yang stated as she was heading for the door.

"Something tells me you are here for something else," Asarirn claimed.

Yang stopped at the door and sighed because she knew Asarirn was right about it. She leaned against the door and looked straight at Asarirn.

"Listen," Yang started to speak, "what were you talking about with my sister, last night?"

"Your sister?" Asarirn questioned.

"Ruby is my sister," Yang quickly explained. She tried to avoid any side track conversation. "What were you two talking about last night?"

"If you wanted to know the whole story, Ruby woke me up and offered me a blanket. In exchange for the blanket, she wanted to talk to me."

"What did she wanted to talk about?"

"She claimed she had met me in her dream before actually encountering me. She said she had nightmares earlier. I simply told her there was nothing to worry about."

"Is that all?" Yang asked. Asarirn nodded in responds which caused Yang to sigh in relieved. "Well, that's good to hear. I thought you two had a relationship.

"It's easy to misunderstand the situation."

"I supposed," Yang agreed. "Well, I need to back for my classes. See ya later."

Asarirn watched as Yang left the room, leaving Asarirn to be alone once more. He stood up from his bed and walked toward the window. He watched the city of Vale and the people go on with their normal lives. People enjoying their lives they have. He realized this is not his world to be in. But in the inside, he wanted it to be.

He thought to himself.

"Over the four years of my life, I have struggled to survive in that wretched world. I have survived with skills," he looked at his hand, "and powers I have acquired over countless battles. I am the leader of an organization that are feared by its power. And never once, I have thought of going back to school. For what?" He allowed the question to float around for a moment until he could answer it. "For my old self?" Asarirn smiled under his hood, for the fact this is what he wanted.

"You can't hide who you really are, Asarirn Nightlyis," A voice heard from behind.

Asarirn turned toward the source. The voice was from an exact copy of Asarirn, but the only difference was without his coat. Asarirn believed he had gone mad.

"Ah, don't be like that," Another voice was heard. "He just wanted to go back to his old life."

Asarirn watched as another copy of himself appeared beside the first one. "I have no intention to listen to you both," Asarirn said as he looked back at the window once more. "You're just a figment of my imagination,"

"You sacrificed many thing to become who you are now," the first one continued.

"I wondered why you picked Arranis Shadow as your name as you enroll in this school?" the second one questioned. "I know you wanted to avoid giving your true name but you could have pick any other name. Why that one?"

Asarirn didn't answered.

"You can't go back to that life, Asarirn," the first one explained. "You are not that person anymore."

"Can you lighten up?" the second one asked. "He's only seventeen years old, he still has a ways to go. I just don't know why he would waste his time in this place."

"Enough…," Asarirn said as he began to clench his hand into a fist.

"Do you believe you could fit in this world, Asarirn?" the first one questioned. "Could these people accept who you really are?"

"Stop…" Asarirn said as he tried to contain his anger.

"I wondered how they would react as they saw your true colors," the second one said. "You have been called a murderer. But, I don't think that is the right one to call you." The second one started to tap on his chin with his pointer finger, trying to think of something. "Oh, I know… how about killer?"

"I said…ENOUGH!" Asarirn roared as he turned toward to the two copies. Asarirn started to dashed toward them as he summoned a black blade, that no light could touch, in his right hand; and summoned a white blade, that slightly radiant with light, in his left hand. Asarirn slashed at them both as he passed in one single attack.

The two copies disappeared as Asarirn slashed through them. He stood there, breathing heavily as he tried not to take in what those two said. Asarirn dropped his blades as he experience a massive headache. He held his head as an image popped in his mind. An image of the streets of vale covered in blood and one man stood emotionless in the middle. That man was himself.

Asarirn managed to slow down his breathing as he cleared his mind from the horrify image.

"I-I need to some fresh air," he said to himself as he picked up his blades. The blades disappeared as soon as he held them up.

Asarirn proceed to grab his bag. Since he was going to go out, might as well pick up some materials.

Once Asarirn had his things, he headed out the door. An item rested on his bed, left by Asarirn by mistake; that very item was his scroll.

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn stopped as he was about to enter the streets of Vale. A thought appeared in his mind that prevents him from going any further. He inspected his body as he pondered.

"I still haven't cleared the situation with the other people of Vale. If they see me like, it may cause an uproar. I need to change my appearance," he thought to himself. Asarirn headed into a nearby alleyway and made sure no one was in sight of him. He started to undo his coat, slowly revealing his body. Once he finished, Asarirn stuffed his coat into his bag. He paused, once he finished putting away his coat.

"This is going to be a gamble," he said to himself. Asarirn touched the area of his face, where the marking laid. This was the reason Asarirn needed to remind himself why he kept his hood up and his face hidden.

Asarirn let out a sigh as he knew the risks he was taking. But on the other hand, this was a perfect opportunity for one, explore the city from ground level; and two, if people could recognized the mark of the Weapon Master on his face.

Asarirn grabbed his bag and proceed to head out to the sidewalk.

While walking down the street, Asarirn tried his best to draw in unwanted attention. His shifty eyes were the only thing that caused him to act suspicious. He wanted to observe the expression of the people's face as he walked by them. The expression on their faces wasn't what Asarirn had expected. He expected them to run away in fear but, nothing. He let out a sigh of relieve as he suspected they don't know much of the Weapon Master's mark.

Asarirn smiled as he continued to explore the city streets. But, Asarirn had a feeling that he can't reveal who he was just yet. For the meantime, Asarirn continued to walk down the street as a guy with a tattoo on his face.

"I don't think we should have left Arranis alone," Weiss said.

The RWBY girls sat through one of the professor's lecture, waiting for their school day to end.

"What makes you say that?" Blake said as she read her textbook.

"What if he is touching our stuff?" Weiss questioned. "I don't want him touching my stuff."

"Are you going to bring this up now?" Ruby asked.

Blake decided to ignore Weiss and continued to read. She believed this topic was not important.

"Relax," Yang calmed the concerned Weiss. "I gone back to our room, and he was still resting in his bed. I think he's suffering through some injuries. So, I don't think he will be moving any time soon."

"Besides," Ruby added. "Isn't like Arranis is going to leave as it is."

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn stopped as he let out a huge sneeze. Am I getting sick? He thought about it for a bit as he wiped his nose. He turned to the shop that he stopped in front of. His eyes widen in surprise to the shop: An anime shop. Without hesitation, he approached the entrance to the shop but stopped. He reminded himself.

"You can't go back to that life, Asarirn… You are not that person anymore."

Asarirn showed a sign of sadness as he walked away from the anime shop. This the life I have chosen. Maybe I can't go back to that life, he looked at the shop, once more, not yet…

Asarirn continued down the street to continue to explore the city.

The girls are returning from their classes and wanted to check up on Arranis.

"Do you think he will be still resting?" Weiss asked.

"I believe not," Blake claimed, "with this amount of time, I think he's okay now."

"I hope so," Ruby said. "He has his entrance exam. It would be bad if he still need time to rest."

Team RWBY entered into their room, to their surprise, Asarirn was nowhere to be found. That caused them to be shocked.

"He's gone…" Ruby said with a bit of disappointment.

"Looks like he decided to ditch this place," Yang said.

"Oh, come on, maybe he gone to the bathroom," Ruby said as she tried to find a small ray of hope.

"His bag is gone," Weiss claimed as she pointed to the area the bag was at.

"And his scroll is here, also," Blake said as she walked up to Asarirn's bed. She picked up Asarirn's scroll and shown it to everyone.

"Maybe, he forgot it," Ruby retorted.

"Ruby!" Weiss argued. "Face it, he's gone."

"At least give him some time," Blake offered. "If he's not back by the end of this evening, then we will report it to Professor Ozpin.

"Fine then, we can wait," Weiss agreed as everyone sat in their respective spots and waited for the mysterious Arranis to return.

-*RWBY*-

After a bit of exploring around the city of Vale, Asarirn stopped, yet at another shop, which peaked his interest. The sigh read, "From Dust till Dawn." Asarirn decided to check out this shop, since walking around started to become boring.

Asarirn entered the shop and quickly examined the contents it contained. The shop, itself, had variety of shelves with jars of different colored powered in them; a glassed case counter fill with many colorful crystals and etc. There stood fairly old looking man behind the counter.

The old man greeted Asarirn with a smile as he entered the shop. Asarirn returned the smile as he approached the counter.

"What can I do for you today, young man?" the old man said as he continued to stare at Asarirn.

Asarirn could tell the old man was looking directly at his mark, but decided to quickly ask him questions.

"Well, I noticed this shop when I was walking by, and I wanted to see what were you selling," Asarirn explained.

"Is that so?"

"So, what are these crystals?" Asarirn asked as he pointed to the colorful crystals.

The old man gave a confused look and then let out a laugh. "You don't know what Dust are?" the old man asked. "What are you, from another world?"

Asarirn let a single laugh as the old man continued to amuse himself by Asarirn's question. That forced Asarirn to consider his next words carefully.

"I was asking because I didn't really touch that topic from where I'm from," Asarirn explained. Even though it was somewhat true. They didn't have Dust from where he was born or in the world, he has spent the last four years of his life.

"Are you going to be a Huntsman?" the old man asked.

"Yeah, I'm starting to attend Beacon."

"I see," the old man said. "Well, if you're going to attend that school, you need to familiarize yourself with Dust. These are going to be useful in your training against monster and such."

"So, what are Dust exactly?"

"Dust are nature's enchantment," the old man started to explain, "used to fight off the creatures of Grimm." The old man pulled a red crystal from the glassed case. "Dust, itself, are made from different types of elements and it can take on the form crystals or powered like substance."

"What's the difference between the crystals and the powered substance?"

"Well, it's based on how you used them for crafting."

Asarirn held out his hand to the old man. The old man handed Asarirn the crystal dust. Asarirn gave it a close inspection before holding up into the air. The light glistered from within the crystal which caused it to be very appealing.

Asarirn handed it back to the old man. "Well, I'm interested in buying some of these Dust."

"Splendid," the old man sounded please, "What can I get-"

The old man was interrupted by the front door flew open. People dressed in white with Grimm masks poured in the store. Each member carried; either a container, a weapon, such as a blade or a rifle, or both.

Asarirn noticed the old man shook in fear as these guys in white entered the store. Asarirn didn't bothered to turn his attention to the people. But instead, closed his eyes to focus his hearing to determine the amount of people present in the store. After a bit time, he could determine there were five enemies.

One of the enemies noticed Asarirn with his back towards them. The man pointed his rifle at Asarirn.

"Hey!" the man shouted, "Put your hands up!"

In responds, Asarirn continued to ignore the man. That made the man angry.

"Are you deaf?!" the man shouted once more. But, Asarirn continued to stand where he was at. Once again, that made the man angrier.

Asarirn doesn't want to push his luck. What choice does he have? He doesn't want to be robbed by these guys. Considering, he does have his bag with him with his important stuff. He would rather fight these people than being robbed. That's what Asarirn planned to do.

The man was angry enough to walk up to Asarirn and grabbed by his shoulder. At the same moment, Asarirn allowed his bag to slip from his shoulder for him to turn. Asarirn quickly grabbed the enemy's head and slammed it into the glassed case. As the man tried to recover, Asarirn elbowed his square in the face. Asarirn grabbed the man's rifle as the man fell onto his back.

Asarirn threw the rifle, with great force, at the man who attempted to unsheathe his blade. Asarirn dashed toward the man with the sword, at the same moment, the rifle made contact with the enemy's face. The staggered enemy give Asarirn the chance to grab his blade and delivered a powerful kick to the chest. The force, itself, was enough to knock into the wall behind him.

Asarirn brought up the blade, just in time, to block the incoming attack from the third enemy. Asarirn allowed the enemy's blade to slide pass him to create an opening. A swift punch, from Asarirn, to the gut brought the enemy down.

A sound of a gun loaded brought Asarirn's eyes toward the source of it. He noticed the fourth enemy had his rifle pointed at him and fired at Asarirn. Asarirn quickly blocked some of the bullets before he leapt to his side, away from the line of fire. Asarirn dashed toward the man with the rifle. While continued to fire away, the man moved his rifle toward Asarirn as Asarirn closed the distance between them. Asarirn quickly jumped over the line of fire. While in the air, with the use of his left foot, he brought the rifle down and, at same time, he swung at the enemy's face with his right foot. The impact of that kick knocked the person down onto his side.

Asarirn looked at the fourth man on the ground, ensuring he was defeated. He slowly turned to his right at the final enemy. He noticed the final enemy struggled to pull his blade out. Asarirn dashed at the man and grabbed his blade as he was pulling it out.

"P-please," the man begged. The way the man's voice could tell he was frighten in fear. Asarirn could tell he had admit defeat. "Just let me go."

Asarirn only return a cold stare as he pushed him down to the ground.

"What the hell is taking you guys so long!?" A loud voice heard from outside.

A single man entered the store. The man dressed like the rest of the guys in the store but wore a different kind of mask. His physical appearance, itself, shown he was a lot stronger than the rest of the group.

The man noticed Asarirn holding a blade and his comrades on the ground in defeat.

"You dare go against the White Fang!? The man asked angrily.

"White Fang?" Asarirn questioned.

"You will regret this," the tougher man said as he let a single laugh. Asarirn noticed the tougher looking enemy leaving the store.

Asarirn was about to chase down the tougher looking enemy but the old man caught his attention.

"Look Out!"

Asarirn kicked up a blade that was rested on the ground and grabbed the blade with his left hand. Asarirn swung around the begging enemy, who snuck behind Asarirn, until he was behind him. He quickly held up the blades and rested on the man's neck. The begging enemy dropped his blade in defeat.

"I-I'm sorry, I won't attack you anymore. Just let me go," The man begged, once more.

"You had your chance," Asarirn said in a harsh tone. The man continued to beg for his life but his begging ended by a swift movement from the blades. Asarirn let the body dropped to the floor and watched as blood started to pool around the body. Asarirn gave a look of disappointment before examining the blades.

"Cheap blades," Asarirn remarked before tossing it to the ground.

Asarirn watched as the old man rose up from behind the counter, still shaking in fear. The man scanned his store for damages from the encounter. He stopped at the dead corpse on the ground surround by blood.

"You kill that man…" the old man said in quiet tone.

"I had no choice," Asarirn replied. "This man had a chance to live, but instead he decided to throw it away." Asarirn looked at the corpse. "And this what happens."

Asarirn continued to watch the old man with fear in eyes. He doesn't like where this was going, he could already predict what the old man was going to do. But, he didn't expect what the old man was going to do.

The old man walked up to Asarirn and grabbed his hands.

"Thank you!" the old man said as he was shaking his hand frantically.

"I just didn't want my stuff to be stolen by those guys," Asarirn said somewhat embarrass.

"Oh, don't be so modest," the old man said. "Honestly, this isn't the first time this place was targeted."

"This happened before?"

The old man nodded in responds. "Yes. However, the first time this happen, a girl with a red cloak who wields a scythe defeated the first group. Without getting a single scratch, just like you." Asarirn only figured out he was talking about Ruby Rose. But, he had to admit that if Ruby could handle these guys without an issue, then she would be a skilled fighter. Even the rest of her team, could be this skilled also. He can't take the student of Beacon lightly. "After a few months," the old man continued on, "the White Fang attack the shop and stole all the dust. Then, I have to reopen the shop."

"Would this make the third attack?"

The old man nodded. "But, I can't thank you enough."

"It was nothing." Asarirn reach for something in his pocket and realized it wasn't there. What could he be missing? "By any chance, you have the time?"

The old man quickly peered to the watch on his waist before giving his answer. "It's almost 6."

"I need to get going," Asarirn said. He grabbed his backpack and bowed to the old man before departing for the door.

"Wait!" the old man cried. Asarirn turned his attention to the old man. "Before you go."

The old man started look for something behind the counter until he found what he was looking for. He placed a somewhat large container on the counter. He opened the container as like he was about to place some stuff. Inside the container, the container, itself, was separated by two sections. The left side was just an opened space, while the right side was occupied by six tubes, held by holders. The old man started to fill the left space with crystal dust from the glass case. Once he was done, he began to fill each tube with different powered dust. Afterwards, he packed up the container and walked over to Asarirn. He presented the container to Asarirn.

"I don't understand" Asarirn said, somewhat confuse.

"Here, I want you to take it."

"I can't possibly accept, it looks rather expensive," Asarirn declined.

"Boy, I would rather sacrifice this much Dust then losing my shop once more. I want you to take this with you. Beside, you would need it for your studies."

Asarirn consider the old man's words carefully, before letting a sigh of defeat. "Very well," Asarirn said as he grabbed a hold of the container. "Are sure you're going to be okay being alone with these guys until the police comes?"

"Oh, don't worry about me. I got this under control," the old man stated as he produce a baseball bat from behind the counter.

"I see. I will take my leave," Asarirn said as he headed for the door. "Oh by the way, if they ask, don't give them my description." That only left the old man with a curious look before he shrugged it off.

Asarirn was greeted by the light and darkness of the city. The nighttime had only made its presence in the city; while the streetlight light the path throughout the street. For some reason, Asarirn loved this feeling of the night. Maybe, it's because he only been hiding himself from within the shadows. The feeling of the night allowed him to reveal his face but still hide it with the shadows. But, he realized what he loved about the night and felt depressed.

Asarirn take in a deep breath of fresh air before heading toward the nearest alleyway. He ensured that no one saw him. He placed the Dust container on the ground before placing the bag on top on it. He pulled out his coat before looking it.

"Well, enough games for me," Asarirn said as put on his coat. He ensured he had his coat on properly on before grabbing both his bag and the container. Once he was ready, he disappeared into the shadows of the night.

-*RWBY*-

The whole Team RWBY watched, out the window, the night of Vale. They pretty much had the same thought within their mind.

"Well, we can pretty much assumed, he decided to leave," Weiss suggested.

No one else responded by Weiss assumption because they believe she was right.

"There are still a lot of unanswered questions," Ruby claimed.

"I thought you had the dream about him cleared," Yang said.

"Besides that." Ruby looked at Weiss. "Weiss, you wanted to know why Arranis has that Magic Sword."

"Mystical Blade," Weiss corrected.

"Or," Ruby continued. "What's the connection between Arranis and Blaze? They seemed to know each other.

"What happened during the event on the video?" Weiss added.

"Or, what does Arranis' face looked like?" Yang added.

"Right," Ruby agreed.

"Why do you want to know what he looks like?" Blake asked Yang.

"Makes you wonder if he is handsome or not."

"Anyway," Ruby tried to everyone back on track, "Do you think we should find Arranis?"

The rest of Team RWBY gave some thought about what Ruby thinks. It's true there are a lot things they don't know about. It could be a great advantage to have someone like Arranis Shadow with them. Maybe, he could help with their cause.

"I guess you are right, Ruby," Weiss agreed. "It feel weird for Arranis to have a Mystical Blade."

"You feel he doesn't deserve to have that weapon," Yang claimed.

"That's not it," Weiss retorted. "It feels… strange for some reason."

"We should go, then," Ruby said to the group. Everyone nodded in agreement.

Everyone prepared to depart for their search but stopped as soon as they heard a knock on their door. They gave each other looks to find out what they should do next. Blake was the one to take action. She walked up to the door as everyone else stood where they were. One more knock was heard before Blake opened the door. To her surprise, it was Asarirn.

"Arranis! You're back!" Blake said in shock. Everyone quickly ran to the door. They noticed the missing Arranis stood in the doorway with his bag on his shoulder and a container in his hand.

Everyone continued to stare for a bit longer, causing Asarirn to felt unease.

"Can I come in?" Asarirn asked with awkwardness in his tone. The whole team stepped out of the way, creating a path into the room. Asarirn proceed to enter the room and gone straight for his bed. He paused for a bit before placing his things at the foot of the bed. Asarirn could tell that the girls were still staring at him. Asarirn decided to confront the issue, "Is there something?"

"Where were you!?" Ruby cried, "You had us worried sick."

Asarirn tried to understand her words carefully. I don't understand why would she be worry for me? Asarirn thought to himself. She worried for some stranger. She reminds of… me.

"Sorry, that I have caused concern for you," Asarirn replied. He sat upon his bed as he started to take off his boots in preparation for sleep.

Ruby was lost in words. She didn't expect that kind of responds, even from him.

"So, where have you gone?" Blake asked.

Asarirn answered by, as he laid on his bed, pointing at the container. Everyone looked at each other and then to Asarirn. Yang walked up to the container and proceed to examine the contents within. She held up a crystal dust for further inspection.

"You gone to gather supplies?"

"Pretty much."

"Well then," Yang finished inspecting. "I am pretty tired and I think everyone else. Let's go to sleep."

Ruby walked up to Asarirn and presented his scroll. Asarirn realized he had forgotten it and grasped it.

"Thank you, I had forgot to take it with it."

Ruby returned it with a smile as she gone to prep for sleep. Asarirn closed his eyes and imagine what he would expect for the entrance exam before falling in to a deep sleep.
