Asarirn sat on his bed staring at the scroll in his hand. There was a message that caught his full attention, he couldn't help but read but stare. The message read:

"We have the necessary information, it's only a matter of time. You are on standby. We will contact you when we need you."

-Ozpin

Asarirn continued to stare at the message, processing it. He knew for sure it's going to happen soon.

"Why are you looking at your scroll?" Asarirn heard Ruby's voice. Asarirn looked up and noticed Ruby stood in front of Asarirn's bed, watching him.

"I was looking at tips and guide on using a scroll effectively," Asarirn lied, he quickly put the scroll away.

"Well it's not that hard to use once you get the hang of it."

"I suppose."

"Well anyway, we should catch up to the rest and get some food."

Asarirn stood up from his bed before following Ruby out for dinner.

-*RWBY*-

Later that night, Asarirn laid on his bed, staring at the celling. As for the girls, they were sleeping peacefully. Even though it was the middle of the night, Asarirn couldn't help but stayed awake. Ever since he received the message from Ozpin, he needed to stay awake in case anything happens. The reason why he took the job as a spy, this gave Asarirn the chance to move around at night, since Asarirn prefer the nighttime.

Asarirn heard a vibrating noise coming from underneath his pillow. Asarirn reached under his pillow and pulled out his scroll, there was a message notation. Asarirn read the message:

"We are going to perform the operation tonight. You are needed in my office. Make sure no one follows you."

-Ozpin

Asarirn put the scroll away under his coat. He crawled out of his bed and crept towards the door. Asarirn looked back to ensure the girls were asleep. Yang slept on her back without a care in the world, Ruby shown a smile as she slept, having a pleasant dream, Weiss slept normally, and as for Blake, she had her back towards Asarirn, sounding asleep peacefully. Asarirn headed out the door and slowly closed the door behind him.

However, the moment Asarirn closed the door behind him, Blake rolled onto her side, facing the door. Blake stared at the door as she thought where have the hooded teammate had gone.

-*RWBY*-

"So, when is this spy of yours is going to arrive?" Glynda asked Ozpin.

"He will arrive as soon as he can," Ozpin replied as he took a sip from his coffee mug.

Glynda and Ozpin waited in the Ozpin's office for their spy. Ozpin simply sat in desk staring at his screen, while for Glynda stood by Ozpin's side, waiting patiently.

"I didn't expect for you to find a spy in such a short amount of time," Glynda stated.

"You can say it was convenient for me to find this one."

Glynda couldn't help but glare at Ozpin for a moment. Before she could say anything, a beeping noise sounded from the computer.

"You may come in," Ozpin said to the computer.

Glynda widen her eyes in surprise as the hooded student entered the room.

"It's nice for you to be here, Arranis," Ozpin greeted him. Asarirn simply bowed as he reached the center of the room.

"Wait, the boy is your spy?" Glynda questioned.

"He has a certain set of skill that would be perfect for this mission," Ozpin explained.

"I can understand that but rather recently he injured his arm during a sparring match."

"I can ensure you, I am perfectly fine," Asarirn explained.

Glynda quickly approached Asarirn as he held up the arm, Glynda thought to be broken. Glynda scanned Asarirn's arm with the use of her tablet. She narrowed her eyes in disbelief by the result. Glynda couldn't accepted the result but decided to ignore it for the time being. She simply walked back to Ozpin's side without saying a word.

"Now that's over with," Ozpin decided to say something. "We need to focus at the matter at hand. Now, Arranis, I need you to change while I will brief you on the situation." Ozpin gestured toward the area with curtains.

Asarirn moved behind the curtain and began to disrobe without a second thought.

"So far, the White Fang have been planning attack against the city of Vale," Ozpin began to explain. "We know that the members of the White Fang has been working with Roman Torchwick for a while. Now, what we believed in, Roman is working for someone higher up. That very person has been using the White Fang for their personal use. But we don't know the identity of that person. Our source suggests they are going to have a meeting tonight."

"Who is our source?" Asarirn asked as he continued to dress.

"Why do you need to know the identity?" Glynda interrogated.

Without saying anything, Asarirn walked out of the curtains as he placed a mask over his face. Asarirn stood in front of the two adults with his new attire. He had black pants with multiple short belts wrapped around his leg, a loose black robe with a hood over his black shirt. The hood was smaller than Asarirn was used to, but Asarirn's face was completely covered by a large Grimm mask.

"Anyway," Ozpin continued, dodging the question, "your task, Arranis, is to infiltrate the compound and get to that meeting. So we can know the identity. As for your equipment."

Asarirn watched as Glynda began to place an assortment of items on the desk.

"These are the recommended items for your mission," Glynda explained. "There are smoke grenades, knives, ear piece, and a pair of binocular. Keep in mind, this is just a stealth mission."

Asarirn stared at the equipment without saying or grabbing anything. Ozpin found it a bit odd.

"Is there something wrong?" Ozpin asked.

"I would like to request for additional equipment."

"And what would that be?"

"Remote explosives."

"Why would you need something that reckless for this?" Glynda was surprised. However, Ozpin held up his hand to signal her to stop.

"Like I said, he has a certain set of skills that we don't have," Ozpin told Glynda. "Anything else?"

"A piece of cloth and a spray can that matches the wall of the compound."

"Consider it done," Ozpin said, "One more thing." Ozpin produced a small camera and placed it onto the desk. "We want you to broadcast the meeting, so we can see it for ourselves. Turn it on, once you are there."

Asarirn grabbed the equipment before bowing to the two adults and heading out the door.

"I hope this was a great choice," Glynda remarked, but Ozpin didn't say anything.

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn landed on a rooftop near the compound and waited for a bit. He looked through the binocular toward the compound. He noticed there were two guards guarding the entrance. However, he looked around more but only noticed just the two guards.

"This place isn't well guarded for an important meeting," Asarirn told himself.

Asarirn noticed an open window on one of the side of the building and decided to make his move. Asarirn summoned both of his Ice Weaver in both of his hands. The left one transformed into a bow while for the right one transformed into a bladed arrow. He fired the arrow at the opened window. Asarirn disappeared and reappeared on the sill of the window as he caught the arrow in his hand. Asarirn entered the building.

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn landed on the ground without making any noise but the place doesn't have anyone here. The place, itself, have just crates in them.

"There is something wrong here," Asarirn said to himself. "There should be at least someone patrolling here."

Before he moved on, Asarirn pulled out the explosive device, he had requested. He placed it on the ground, close to the wall, before arming it. Next, he placed a piece of cloth over the bomb, covering it completely. Finally, using the spray can, he sprayed the cloth until the color matched the wall. Once done, he tossed the can aside and moved on with the mission.

After a bit of looking around, Asarirn noticed an air vent system on the ceiling of the building. He decided to use it to move around the place easier. He climbed into it without leaving a trace of forced entry. Once inside, he noticed the vent leads into another room of the building. He believed that where the meeting would be held and headed for it.

As Asarirn reached the next room, he noticed an opening that leads down and headed towards it. He looked down and found guys in White Fang uniform standing in the middle of the room, forming a circle. Asarirn listened in to confirm what he was looking for.

"Seriously, why don't we have more guys around guarding us?" said one of the grunts.

"Because with less guys, people won't think this place isn't important to us," said another one. "Let's us just get the meeting started."

Asarirn reached for small camera attached to his mask and pressed the button on it.

-*RWBY*-

Ozpin and Glynda, both, watched the screen on the desk and waited patiently. The screen only has a message that said: No Signal.

"How long do we have to wait for Arranis to reach the meeting spot?" Glynda asked as she started to grow impatient.

"I believe hopefully soon."

They noticed the message disappeared as the video came up. Glynda quickly looked into the screen in front of them. On the screen, they noticed the camera was above the group of White Fang members, from inside a vent system.

"What are we going to do with the stolen shipments of Dust?" They heard guy said something.

"This is it," Glynda commented.

"We can see it perfectly. Thank you, Arranis," Ozpin talked into a small microphone.

"We will continue using them to make the devices. This is payback for the Human for treating us this way."

"Yet we are working with them."

"As long we get what we want, we will work with them."

After a bit, they noticed the camera began to move away from the destined area, only viewing just the vent. Both, Glynda and Ozpin found it very weird.

"What is wrong, Arranis?" Ozpin asked into the microphone.

They watched on the screen as Asarirn held out his hand and pulled out a knife. Asarirn made a small cut at the tip of his finger, drawing a bit of blood. Using the blood, Asarirn began to write on the floor of the vent. He finished, once he written out the message: This is a trap.

"What do you mean?" Ozpin asked.

Asarirn didn't respond as he moved the camera back into position.

"So, what are we going to do with the spy that listening in?"

"They know he's there," Glynda stated.

"Get yourself out of there," Ozpin ordered.

"No," they heard Asarirn's voice from the video, "I have other plans."

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn readied himself for what's to come. Asarirn held a smoke grenade in one hand and knives in the other. Asarirn pulled the pin from the grenade before dropping it down over the group.

"Watch out! Grenade!" said of one the grunts.

Asarirn jumped out of the vent, the moment he heard the grenade explode. Asarirn landed on top of one of the grunts, causing him to fall, face first, onto the ground. Asarirn quickly threw the knives at the rest of the group, who tried to aim their weapon at the intruder. Each of knives hit their mark, killing them instantly, dropping them to the ground. Asarirn pulled out another knife and held it against the man's neck.

"Tell me what you know," Asarirn ordered.

"I have no intention of telling a stinking human like you!" the man barked as he tried to break free.

"Yet, you are working with one."

The captive didn't say anything, knowing Asarirn was right. "They said they also hate human like us," the man explained.

"They? Who's they?"

"I don't know," the man said as he continued to try to break free.

Asarirn stabbed the knife into the man's shoulder, the man screamed in pain. Asarirn pressed on the knife harder, increasing the intensity of the pain. "Tell me," Asarirn demanded.

"There is that guy with the cane-"

"I already know about Roman Torchwick!"

"There are three other!" the man quickly called out.

"Tell me who they are!"

"I don't know!" Asarirn reached for the knife once more. "NO! I SERIOUSLY DON'T KNOW THEIR NAMES!" the man pleaded.

"THEN TELL ME WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE!"

"There is a woman and kids in their teens, who are always with her. The woman used fire as her specialty and for the other two-"

Asarirn jumped to side as he dodged an incoming bullet. But, the bullet, however, managed to kill Asarirn's captive.

"Damn it!" Asarirn said out of frustration.

Asarirn quickly turned around as he noticed multiple enemies with guns aiming at him. Asarirn quickly summoned Ice Weaver to deflect the incoming bullets. He pulled another smoke grenade and tossed it at the line of fire. One of the grunts managed to shoot the smoke grenade, causing it to explode, filling the room in smoke.

Using the smoke as cover, Asarirn danced with his weapon through the smoke until he emerged from the other side. Asarirn stood at the other end of the smoke with his blade held up. There was no sound coming from inside the smoke, Asarirn knew very well that he had taken them down.

The alarm sounded, forcing Asarirn to press forward. He could hear many guys were not that far behind him.

Asarirn quickly ran for the direction where he had planted the bomb. As he approached the bomb, Asarirn pulled out a small device and pressed the red button. The bomb exploded, causing an opening in the wall. Asarirn quickly pulled out the last two of his smoke grenades. He threw one at the opening and waited for it to be cover in smoke.

Asarirn ran outside of the building, still in the smoke, and threw the last grenade up in the air near the building. The face of the building began to be cover in white smoke. Using the smoke as cover, Asarirn summoned both Ice Weavers in both hands. The blades transformed into hook blades. Asarin began to climb up the side of the building within the smoke.

One of the grunts noticed a figure moving through the smoke. "He's in the smoke! Shoot at the smoke!" Everyone, who had gathered outside, began to open fire at the smoke.

As Asarirn almost reached the end of the smoke and at the top of the building, he caused his blades to disappear to make sure no one saw them. Asarirn climbed onto the top of the building and began to run for it.

"HOW IS IT THAT HARD TO KILL ONE GUY?!" one man shouted.

Asarirn would occasionally threw knives to deflect the incoming bullets as he ran on the rooftops.

Asarirn noticed he was approaching a river. That give Asarirn the chance to escape. As he reached the edge of the final building, Asarirn jumped.

As Asarirn flew in the air and thought he made it, Asarirn quickly sensed someone's presence. He turned his body toward the source. Asarirn widen his eyes underneath the mask as he saw Blaze.

Blaze stood by the river with a red bow in his hand. He had the string drawn with an arrow ready. He had a big grin on his face as he fired the arrow. Asarirn quickly reached for a knife to use to deflect it but realized he had ran out of knives. The arrow struck into the chest, causing Asarirn to drop into the moving waters.

Blaze stood there as he was pleased by his works. Cinder and Roman approached Blaze, Blaze continued to stare at the river without acknowledging them.

"Did you get the spy?" Cinder asked.

"Sounds like you doubt my skills," Blaze replied. He caused the red bow to disappear into ashes.

"So you managed to kill the spy, I'm quite impress."

"So what do you think, Skye?" Blaze asked as he continued to stare out to the river.

Cinder and Roman gave each other confuse looks, they moved a bit forward to see what he meant. They noticed what appeared to be a woman in a purple robe, leaning against a nearby building. The woman in purple began to walk away from the group without saying anything. A small tornado surrounded the woman before both disappearing into thin air.

"Who was that?"

"Don't worry about it," Blaze simply reply, he continued to stare into the river.

"Well I had enough for one day," Roman said, "goodnight everyone." Roman started to walk away from the two.

Cinder gave Blaze a glare before departing herself.

Blaze waited for a bit. "What do you think Asarirn?" Blaze began to talk, "I could have kill you with that shot but I didn't. I want to have a fair fight against you."

Blaze headed out as he smiled by his plan worked out in the end.

-*RWBY*-

Glynda and Ozpin watched on the screen as Asarirn got shot by an arrow before falling into the water. The video cut into black with the message; "No Signal." They looked at the screen with disbelief.

"I can't believe they managed to get him," Glynda stated.

"If it wasn't for his him, we couldn't gone farther than we could with information."

"Is he truly dead?"

"I can't say for sure.

-*RWBY*-

A couple strolled by the river under the moonlight, embracing each other as they stared at the night sky.

"I love you, dear," the woman said.

"Ah, I love you too," the man replied. "It's nice having a stroll with someone you love, under this beautiful sky."

The woman gave a concern look while looking at the river.

"What wrong?"

"What is that?" the woman pointed.

The woman pointed at the area of the river that bubbles were brewing. After a moment, a hand pop out of the water and immediately grabbed onto the railings. The couple watched as the person emerged from the water. The person was dressed in black with a Grimm mask. The couple looked at the person with a terrify look.

The person climbed over the railing and leaned against it. He had a blue blade in his hand. The blade looked like it was made of glass with water inside of it. The blade disappeared as soon as he took off the mask to reveal his face with red eyes. The man took in deep breaths as if he hasn't been breathing for a while.

"Damn, I barely lived," Asarirn said to himself. He noticed the couple to side. "Hey, how's it going?"

"Oh my god, are you alright?" the woman asked while pointing at him.

Asarirn looked on his body and noticed a red arrow stuck to his side. He pulled the arrow without an issue, the arrow immediately turned into ashes.

Asarirn looked the couple with his red eyes, the man flinched as he saw Asarirn's eyes.

"Hey, where am I?" Asarirn asked.

"B-by the river," the man said in a shaken tone.

Asarirn looked at him with an unpleasant look. "No, really?" Asarirn said in a sarcastic tone.

"Downtown," the woman corrected the man.

"Thank you," Asarirn said as he stood up from the rail. He placed the mask back on his face and started to walk away.

"Are you sure you are alright?" the woman asked once more.

Asarirn simply waved at them as he continued to walk away. "I'm fine."

The couple continued to watch Asarirn until he disappeared from sight.

"That was strange," the woman said, the man nodded in responds.

-*RWBY*-

"So, what are we going to do now?" Glynda asked.

Before Ozpin could respond to Glynda's question, the computer made a sound that caught Ozpin's full attention. "Come in," he said to the computer.

Asarirn walked into the room, giving the two adults surprised faces.

"You're alive, Arranis," Ozpin stated. Asarirn ignored Ozpin's words as he occupied a chair in front of Ozpin's desk. Asarirn began to take his robe off but still wore the Grimm mask. Once he took off the last shirt, revealing his upper body, there were multiple gunshot wounds on his body.

"You're wounded," Glynda said as she ran up to Asarirn. "You need medical attention. Let me call a doctor."

"No," Asarirn stopped her. "I just need one of you to take out the bullets."

"But."

"Just do it," Ozpin ordered.

Glynda held out her riding crop in front of Asarirn. As soon as Asarirn took in a deep breath, Glynda made a quick flicking motion. Each of the bullet came out of the wounds, falling onto the ground. Before Glynda could say anything, the wounds on Asarirn began to close up at an extreme fast rate. Glynda was surprised by Asarirn's rapid healing ability.

Once the wounds are closed, Asarirn simply stood up from his seat and headed for the area with the curtains. He began changing his clothes once he got there.

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn sat in the same seat from before but wore his usual black coat. Everyone was quiet by the whole situation. Even Glynda and Ozpin were speechless about it.

"What happened?" Glynda decided to say something.

"What do you expect? It was an ambush," Asarirn replied harshly. "Before we discuss this further, at least answer my question: Who was the source?"

"We can't tell you," Glynda stated.

"The source is undercover agent posing as a member of the White Fang," Ozpin finally explained. Glynda was surprise by Ozpin's decision.

"Why did you have to tell him that?!" Glynda argued.

"Now," Ozpin continued to look at Asarirn, "Why did you need to know?"

"The person provided false information, the person is working with the White Fang," Asarirn explained.

Both Glynda and Ozpin widen their eyes by Asarirn's explanation. "How?" Glynda explained.

"First of all, during the briefing, you mentioned the person, who pulled the strings, should have been at the meeting. Yet, the meeting was consist of normal foot soldiers. Even I knew it was an ambush by their lack of security when I first arrived. It wasn't until the alarm sounded off, it was swam by enemies." Asarirn stood up from his seat and walked toward the desk. He grabbed a piece of paper that laid on the desk. "I'm assuming the source did the recommended equipment list also, right?"

"Is that the reason you asked for additional equipment?" Ozpin asked.

Asarirn nodded, "The list was setting me up for failure. If I didn't use my own equipment," Asarirn summoned Ice Weaver to show them and then it disappeared, "I have no chance for survival."

"If what's your saying is true, then we need to report the person for working with the enemy," Glynda stated.

"No," Asarirn declined, "They don't know that we know. We can use this to our advantage."

Ozpin smiled by Asarirn's planning. "Then what would you suggest we should do?"

"Right now, you should submit a report that your spy was kill in action, to give them a false sense of security. For now on, I would like to request to be able to free roam."

"Allowed you to move around freely?" Glynda questioned.

"Since we can't rely on the information they provided, we will obtain information in our way. Just simple scouting missions."

"I will allow but in one condition," Ozpin stated. "You are to report here before freely going off."

"Yes, sir," Asarirn said.

Ozpin turned his chair around toward the window of his office. The sun had already began to rise up from the sky. "It's already sunrise, I think it's best to call it night."

"Very well, I shall inform you once I decided to scout out," Asarirn stated. Asarirn bowed to Ozpin and Glynda before heading for the door.

"It's quite convenient for you since it's the weekend," Ozpin commented as Asarirn reached the door.

Asarirn stopped to consider Ozpin's word, he smiled underneath his hood. "I suppose you're right about that," Asarirn said as he left the room.

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn stopped in front of his room and was hesitated to enter. He pulled out his scroll to check the time, it was 8:27. Since it's the weekend, he kind of hoped his teammates would still be asleep. Asarirn forced himself to enter the door.

Once he entered the room, he found everyone were missing except for Blake. Blake stood in front of Asarirn's bed staring at him.

"I see that you're back," Blake commented.

"I was just having a morning stroll around the campus," Asarirn lied. Asarirn simply walked passed Blake toward his bed, acting like nothing had happen.

"I know you left in the middle of the night," Blake declared. Asarirn stopped dead in his track, he turned to face Blake, who had been staring at Asarirn the whole time.

"Does the rest know?"

"They won't know as long as you tell me what I need to know."

"If I don't?"

"Your choice," Blake simply replied, "Where were you last night?"

"If you must know, I was roaming around the city."

"Why?"

Asarirn simply shrugged. "I prefer moving around during the night than during the day."

Blake narrowed her eyes by his responds. "And I should believe you?" she questioned.

"It would explain how I meet all of you at that warehouse."

Blake walked up close to Asarirn, forcing him to turn his head away. "Do know anything about the White Fang?"

Asarirn stood there, like he was thinking about the answer, "I heard about them but I can't say much."

Blake let out a sigh, knowing Asarirn might not have the information she needs. She simply turned around and headed for the door. "It feels I am interrogating you. I'm sorry if I made you feel that way."

"Its fine, what happened to the rest?"

"They all left for breakfast, I just stayed behind so I can get this chance to talk," Blake opened the door and looked back, "If you know anything, I want to be the first to know."

"Did you know about the dust shipment being stolen?" Asarirn asked as she was leaving, Blake looked back.

"I already know about that."

"Then I have nothing more to say," Asarirn said as he laid on his bed.

Blake stared at him for a second before heading out of the room. Asarirn simply laid on his bed, staring at the ceiling. If he had to keep things under wraps from everyone, then it's going to be harder for him.

"Well, this is going to get interesting," Asarirn sighed as he closed eyes to rest for a bit.

Author's Note: Another chapter done, thanks for reading guys. *can't think of anything to say* Yeah... thanks for reading guys.
