Chapter 12 was posted on September 5, 2015... between then and now (July 22, 2021) I've been through several computers. I have copies of my writing on flash drives, but I couldn't find them. When I did find them, they only were up to chapter 8. SO, with no idea what I had written past last chapter, I start anew.

Disclaimer: See chapter 1.

"Kagome," Demoonica whined, her head in her hands, "I can't believe Bakura was taking bets!"

Kagome and Demoonica were alone in the kitchen that morning, other than baby Damia. While she fed her daughter the blended mush that was baby food, Demoonica had told her Bishoujo friend the long story from the night before and that of just earlier that morning. The others, yes all of them, were staying away from that part of the house. And most of them were avoiding Zander also, where ever he was at the moment. As Kagome cooked, the plates of food continued to multiply out over the counters. No magic involved, Kagome simply had learned how to cook for the small army of Demoonica's Bishounen and Bishoujo.

Kagome listened closely while her trainer and friend told her everything. Then after some thought she spoke. "Did you?"

"Did I what?" Demoonica asked, confused.

"Have a three-way with Zander and Hiead." Kagome clarified.

"No!" Demoonica snapped. "It was nearly impossible to just get the three of us talking like civilized people." A pause. "Really, it's not the betting part that bothers me, it's that they were all just... there... crowded around waiting. Last night was like pulling teeth! How can I talk about that kind of thing when I'm mad at myself? I can't pick, it's a cowards answer. There's so much I should have said and done. I can't now. Should of. Could of. But didn't." She ranted, the jar of baby food and spoon in her hands being wildly waved around. "What's wrong with me?"

"Truthfully?" Kagome said. "You are seventeen. That's what's wrong."

Demoonica stopped gesturing wildly. "What?"

"How many seventeen-year-old's have their live under control, Demoonica? In this world or the one you came from? I've seen kids as young a twelve be brought to this world and told they now have one hundred percent control over themselves, AND power over others that are mainly adults. That's messed up, but it's how this world was built to work. And while the world does exactly what it was suppose to do, the people in it are flawed. You and me, alike." Kagome took a breath. "Take Inuyasha, not my husband, but his originator. Trapped between his love of Kikyo and Kagome, look at what it took to get through that. There's nothing wrong with you, other that you are seventeen and dealing with things you haven't dealt with before."

"How do I deal with it?"

"From what you told me of last night, you already are."

"But I couldn't pick! I should pick Zander! He's Damia's father! Hiead has been abusive towards me! He either shoves me away, emotionally and maybe physically at times, OR he's kissing me with a frightening level of possessiveness! That's not a healthy relationship! Why didn't I just pick?"

Kagome remained silent for a time. "I don't know."

"And I do?" Demoonica felt drained. She'd raised her voice over her moments of ranting, not quite reaching a yell. She slumped down onto the highchair, the baby grabbing fist fulls of her mother's hair. "I wish I was as carefree as you." Demoonica said softly to her daughter.

Demoonica didn't join everyone for breakfast. Neither did Zander, or Hiead.

Demoonica had never really thought about money much during her days adventuring and she wasn't really thinking about it now, even as she passed her BishiGear through the prize. It registered 1,444 Gald. "Battle Portals for today have randomized to a -Tales Of- Bestiary." The three with her, Raine, Riku, and Squall, were a pretty good team built to run through multiple high level Battle Portals consecutively.

It had been several days now, after Zander confronted her and Hiead. She'd shifted into training mode again, to get away from the house for a few hours each day in the afternoon. The rest of her days and nights were devoted to her daughter Damia. Still she had been thinking and was near ready to speak to Zander about Hiead, again. This time though, she'd made up her mind. It was up to the guys if they were willing to be involved.

She moved through the Darkmoon Woods with her three training Bishi, raking in as much experience, types of money, and items as the system would throw at them. Video game Bishi were a lot easier to train, thanks to the preset goals of RPGs. Level ups, stats, abilities... all easily tracked. And with Heero completing the conversions each night, she knew her daily sessions were netting her a nice paycheck. Too bad the money was being spent at almost an alarming rate to upgrade everything around her home.

At least food didn't factor much into the price, the world ran on video game logic in the oddest places. Crops grew at an astounding pace and the ground would grow any plant all year round. Fresh vegetables, fruits, and grains were in abundance in their diet. Meats and animal products were bought in town, she wasn't ready for trying her hand at animal husbandry.

"I have to thank Kagome for taking extra time to watch Damia." Demoonica said. Behind her, neither Zander or Hiead replied. She was just glad Zander had agreed to this. Hiead had said he didn't care either way, as was typical. It had taken several weeks after she got the idea to even find the place they were headed, a couples therapist.
