Quick Note: I want to apologize for posting a new chapter this late. I was unable to login into my account for the last couple of days. So I have decided to post it now than having to wait next week. With that said, enjoy the chapter.

Asarirn woke up in the middle of the night one night. Asarirn reached for his scroll as he continued to lay on his bed.

Asarirn looked on the screen. There wasn't any notification on or anything special on it. The time shown it was 2:38, early in the morning. However, Asarirn wasn't interest in the time, but the date of it. That particular date made Asarirn to begin his plan.

Asarirn placed the scroll away under his pillow. He made a small tug on his hood to ensure the hood was still over his head. He decided to look around the room. He kept on noticing the girls slept peacefully, waiting for the new day to start. Every time he would gazed his attention on them, Asarirn had to keep remaining himself how he got himself in this situation.

Asarirn closed his eyes once more, hoping he could start on his plans in the morning.

-*RWBY*-

Later that morning, before classes, Asarirn sat in one of the desk. Asarirn already had his school uniform on and was ready for school. But right now, he was writing something on a piece of paper.

The girls were already ready for school. They noticed Asarirn sudden timing to write something on a piece of paper. Everyone believed he was writing something for school, except for Ruby. Ruby had the sudden interest for Asarirn's writing.

"Well, Team, we should head out for class," Ruby told her team.

"The one thing I hate to go," Yang stated.

"It's not that hard," Weiss told her, "just learn how to pay attention.

Everyone noticed Asarirn continued writing without showing any signs of going anywhere. They were staring at Asarirn in silence for a minute. Asarirn stopped writing as he felt some sort of awkwardness.

"I will catch up once I finished with this," Asarirn said as he began writing once more.

The girls gave each other looks before shrugging. They proceed to head for class. However, Ruby decided to stay behind. Weiss, Blake and Yang left the room, leaving Asarirn and Ruby in silence.

"So…," Ruby slowly approached Asarirn, "what are you writing about?"

Asarirn stopped for a moment before writing again.

"I'm just writing some notes down," Asarirn stated.

"Well, just don't be late."

Asarirn didn't say anything as he continued to write on the paper. Ruby strolled out of the room but left the door to the room open.

Ruby decided to do some detective work. Ruby peeked through the crack of the door until she could completely see a good view of Asarirn. She watched as Asarirn continued to write. After a bit, Ruby believed this was getting nowhere until Asarirn stopped writing. Ruby watched as Asarirn folded the piece of paper and placed them into an envelope. Ruby was confused as it was strange for someone to put their notes in an envelope. But, Ruby now realized Asarirn wasn't writing notes but to a letter to someone.

Ruby continued to look into the door. She watched as Asarirn held up the letter. The letter disappeared in a blinding flash of light. Ruby covered her eyes to shield herself from the light.

Once the light faded, Ruby looked back through the crack. She noticed Asarirn already stood up from his seat and headed for the door.

Ruby panicked.

Ruby can't afford to get herself caught by Asarirn. She quickly looked around her surroundings and made her move.

Asarirn walked out the room as he closed the door behind him. Asarirn took a couple of steps and then stopped as he noticed Ruby nearby. Ruby was leaning against a wall near their door, trying to act cool.

Ruby greeted Asarirn with a smile. "I was just waiting for you, so you don't have be by yourself," Ruby claimed.

Asarirn stared at Ruby for a couple of seconds. Ruby kind of hoped he would fall for her bluff. After a bit, Asarirn walked passed Ruby without saying a word.

Ruby let out a sigh as she began to follow Asarirn to their classes.

Back in Lydius…

A man woke up on his bed. He had brown hair with brown eyes. Based on his appearance, he seemed be in his late 20s. He wore a simple black shirt and black pants.

The room, itself, was rather basic. It had four stone walls with a wooden floor. There was a desk with stack of paper all over it, a weapons rack with two simple swords and a mage's staff, and cabinet closet.

The man rose up from his bed to his feet. He stumbled a bit as he tried to get a hold of his bearings. He quickly slipped into his black combat boots before doing anything else. The man stumbled out towards the cabinet.

Once he reached the cabinet, the man stopped. The man grasped his head as he was experiencing a terrible headache.

"I told him, it was a bad idea to be drinking the day before the meeting," the man said.

The man opened the cabinet and pulled out a black coat with red trims. He dressed himself up for today's event. The man finished dressing by pulling the hood over his face.

The man walked over to his weapon's rack and reached for his staff. He placed the staff on his back. With that, Three was ready to go on with his day.

Three proceed to the door. He didn't bother to look out the window for the time of day, since that would be a bad idea on his part.

-*RWBY*-

Three walked out of his room to go on with his business. It didn't take him a couple of steps before two guys approached him.

The two men both wore regular black coat, indicating normal members. However, they both have staves on their back.

"I see that you are up, Master Three," one man greeted.

"I hope you have a fine morning, Sir," the other man greeted.

Three didn't say anything as he walked pass them, which the two members followed him without question.

After a few seconds of walking, one of the guys decided to ask, "Do you need anything, Sir?"

Three stopped, almost immediately, as soon as he heard the question. Three turned around to face the person that asked him. Three placed his hand on the guy's shoulder, the guy felt extremely uncomfortable by Three unusual behavior.

"Coffee," was the only thing Three said.

"Coffee?" the guy questioned.

"Coffee" Three confirmed.

It only took a moment for the guy to realize, it was something that Three asked for.

"Right away, Sir." the guy said before he ran off. The guy stopped. "Do you want cream with your coffee?" the guy ask.

Three gave a simple nod before the guy ran off once more. Three turned to face the other guy, who stood there patiently.

"What are your reports on the investigation?" Three asked.

The guy pulled a small notepad and began to read off what was written down. "Based on the investigation on the portal gate, we have determined it was an inside source that caused the sabotage of the portal gate."

"And the method?"

"We have concluded it was a simple Corruption Magic without any added effects to the spell.

"When do you think the portal gate is going to be operational again?"

"Based on the amount of effort we put in for cleaning and repairing the portal gate, I could say it well be operational again by nightfall."

"Very well, I will announce the progress to members for the today's meeting."

After moments, the other guy returned with a cup of coffee.

"Here you go, Sir," the guy handed Three the cup of coffee.

Three stood there as he happily drank the coffee. Once he was done, he handed the cup back to the guy.

"I am going to head for the meeting," Three told the two, "meet me in front of the meeting room, once we are done."

"Understood!" said the two in perfect sync.

Three bowed to the two men before heading off for the meeting.

-*RWBY*-

Three walked for a bit until he reached a double stone doors with magic writings all over it. There were other elite members waiting by the double stone doors.

Once all the members had gathered, two of the members, closest to the doors, held out their hands to the door. The writings on the door glowed in a bright light blue light before the doors opened to everyone. Everyone entered the room without a second thought.

In the room, the meeting room remained the same from before. Everyone took their respective spot in their stone seat, however the stone seat at the end of the stone table remained unoccupied. Once everyone had been seated, they waited.

After waiting ten minutes of awkward silence, Three stood up from his seat. He causally strolled towards the empty seat at the end of table. Everyone watched as Three stood in front of the seat at the end of the table.

Three cleared his throat as he tried to get everyone's attention. "As you may noticed," Three began to speak, "our leader isn't here at the moment. Because of this, I am currently in charge."

"Where the hell is our leader?!" Two planted one of his dagger into the table.

"He currently unable to return back to this world because of the portal gate," Three explained.

"Are you mages supposed to figure this stuff out?" Five argued.

"We, mages, from the Magic Department had been investigating the inoperative portal gate, this entire time. As of right now, we have concluded that the portal gate had been sabotaged."

"Sabotaged?" Eight questioned as she gripped her bow tightly. "How so?"

"We have figured out, after the leader's departure, there was traces of corruption magic within the pillars."

"If that's the case, tt wasn't an outside source, but someone within these walls," Four determined.

"Are you applying it was a member in our organization, a traitor among us?" Ten asked.

Everyone was dead silence as soon as they heard that question. Everyone started to look one and another as they began to have doubts for each other.

"Let us not jump to any conclusion now," Three told everyone.

"There could be a chance it was a spy," Seven stated. She leaned back against her seat with her legs crossed.

"A spy, really?" Five questioned sarcastically. "So, you are saying someone sneak into our hideout, just to sabotage our portal gate."

"That is one thought," Three agreed with Seven. "They could have send someone to sabotage the portal gate, so we can't wrap to places with people in need. The kingdom could easily regained favor from the people." Three paused for a bit, "Needless to say, the fact still remained that our leader, his assistant, and Six's student haven't returned."

"What do you think of your student, Six?" Four asked.

"Honestly," Six began to talk, "since my student never had any experience dealing with an unknown environment, there is a high probably that he may not survive in that world."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"It's alright. It's my fault for not training him before their departure."

"At least there's one thing for sure," everyone turned to Three, "after our efforts in repairing the portal gate, the portal gate will operational once more by nightfall."

"At least there was a silver lining through all that," Two stated.

"Agreed," Eleven spoke.

"With that said, we may start to be productive again," Three told the group, "It's been a while since we had done any jobs because of the portal gate. We even postponed the meeting until now, in hopes for our leader's return. Because that's not happening, might as well began working again. So if our leader does come back, he won't be angry due to the lack of work here. So, I took the liberty to post the job list on the board."

"Wait, hold on," Eight shot from her seat, "I would like to make a request."

"What is it?"

"If the portal gate is going to be working once more, then we can use this chance to go to the other world to bring back our leader."

"That's not possible," Three declined. "We don't know if our leader had made contact with the people from the other world. If that's the case, our presence would cause diplomatic issue between us and the people of the other world."

Eight sank down on her seat after her idea was shot down. However, Six stood up from his seat as he was about to say something.

"Just to be sure Three," Six spoke, "You're currently the leader, right?"

"I am currently in charge until our leader comes back."

"Well then, I would like to request to reopen an old topic from a previous meetings."

Three stared at Six without saying anything, building tension between them. "Which topic you would like to discuss again?"

"I want to discuss the one with testing our abilities against the other world," Six said without hesitation.

Everyone turned their gazes upon Six as soon as they heard his request.

"I thought our leader had declined that proposal, Six. There is no reason for us to discuss about it."

"Remember," Ten spoke, "We are an organization that help people in need, not killing others from other worlds."

"At least hear me out!" Six rose his voice, causing everyone to quiet down.

Everyone stared at Six in total silence for his sudden outburst. Three sat down on his seat as he continued to stare at Six.

"We are listening," Three said to Six.

"If we are able to go along with this plan, we will able to prepare ourselves."

"Prepare ourselves for what?"

"For war."

Everyone were speechless upon hearing Six's statement.

"We have no reason to go into war, Six," Three sounded irritated.

"We don't have a reason, but the kingdoms might," Six explained, "You said yourself, the kingdoms don't like us because the people favors us." Everyone looked at each other for a moment before looking back at Six. "We don't know if the other kingdoms is going to attack us or not. That is why I proposed that we take over the other world. If we success, we know we are safe from attackers."

"If not?" Seven dared to ask.

"Then we make room for improvements," Six looked straight at Three, "What do you think?"

Three leaned back on his chair to consider Six's statement carefully. It was true, Asarirn favored the safety of his own people than anything else. But the problem was the fact that Six proposed to kill innocent people, which goes against their beliefs. After much thinking, Three made up his mind.

"The only problem, Six, we have right now, our leader have to approve of this plan."

"But…" Six wanted to argue some more, but Three held up his hand to stop him from going any further.

"The fact remains, your plan goes against our beliefs. I understand your concern for the people here, but I just don't have the authority to go along with it. As long you propose your points to our leader, if he returns, he might agree with you."

Six tightly clenched his fist angrily. "The issue is our leader is too naïve to see this. He's not even here to lead us."

"The thing is, Six," Eight began to speak, "you just don't understand our leader. If it wasn't for him, most of us won't be alive at this point."

"What are you, his lover?" Six insulted.

Eight quickly stood up from seat in anger. It didn't took Eight half a second for her to pull an arrow from her quiver and drawn the string of her bow with the arrow. She aimed the arrow directly at Six.

"Watch. Your. Tongue. If you know what's good for you," Eight told Six.

"Both of you stop right now!" Three ordered.

It took a moment for Eight to finally disarm the arrow. She stuffed her arrow back into her quiver as she took her seat.

"Six, I expect you to apologize for what you said. If not, I will tell our leader what happened, once he comes back."

It only took Six a moment for him to have the guts to talk. "I will take back everything I had said earlier."

"Six, if you insist on proposing your idea," Three continued, "discuss it with our leader, not me." Three looked at the rest of the group before continuing, "As for the rest of you, like I said before, I will post the weekly jobs on the board. Let us get some work done. Understand?"

"Understood!" everyone shouted in perfect sync.

"Dismiss!"

Everyone stood up from their seat and proceed to exit the room except for Three as he remained in his seat. Once he believed everyone was gone, Three closed his eyes as he rubbed his head. He was experiencing a massive headache after all that had happened.

"I see you still have that hangover," Three heard a voice near him.

Three opened his eyes to find Four near him. Four still had his usual heavy axe behind his back. Three stood up from his seat.

"I told you it was a bad idea to drink the day before the meeting," Three stated.

"Well, you need to lighten up a bit, Three," Four said as he slapped on Three's back. The force of the slap caused Three to stumble a bit. "You been working hard all this time."

"I know but it doesn't mean I should drink the same amount as you."

"Why?" Four sounded confuse.

"You are literally two times bigger than me. I don't need to drink as much as you."

Four began to laugh in responds. After a bit, Four stopped. "Anyway," Four continued, "So Master Tactician, what are we going to do about Asarirn?"

Three stared at Four for a bit before answering, "If Asarirn is safe, we can't afford to risk his safety. So in the meantime, we can't go to the other world to retrieve him."

"Do you think it's the best option?" Four asked.

"Yes, it's best for all."

"But, it's the best option for you though?"

Three didn't say anything for a moment. "No."

Four smiled under his hood before turning around. "Well, I should let the leader do his job. If you need anything, contact me Mervinn."

Three watched as Four left the room. Three waited for a bit before departing himself. As he left the room, he was immediately meet by the two guys from before.

"I'm just going to lay down for a while," Three told the two, "I'm just feeling under the weather."

"If you need medicine, we can bring you some," one of the guys insisted.

"No need to waste supplies on something minor," Three explained, "I'm just going to lay down for a while. In the meantime, I will place you two in charge. Just inform me once the portal gate is repaired."

"Yes sir!" the two said.

Three ended the conversation by bowing to the two guys before departing for his room.

-*RWBY*-

Three entered his room again. He simply place his staff back on his weapon's rack. Three didn't made any effort to take off his robe, but instead he collapsed onto his bed.

Three closed his eyes as he laid on his bed. It felt so nice for Three to feel the comfort of his bed again.

"Maybe I should take longer breaks," Three said to himself.

Before he could drift off into sleep, there was a flash of light that cause him to shot open his eyes. Three followed the source of the light; it came from his desk.

Three stood up from his bed and rushed towards his desk. He checked out his desk. Three only noticed just only stacks of paper from his work until he noticed something different. There was a letter laid on top on his work.

Three picked up the envelope and inspected the envelope thoroughly. There was nothing written on the envelope. He can't sense any magical presence within it. Once he determined the envelope was safe, he decided to open the letter and read it. The letter read:

"By the time you are reading this, I have predicted the Magic Department will have the portal gate working once more by nightfall."

Three froze as he read the letter. "Impossible! How did they know the portal gate will be working by nightfall?" Three forced himself to continue reading.

"That's why, once the portal gate works again, you will travel to the other world, by using the Magic formula provided below." Three noticed there was a magic circle written below, which he doesn't recognize. Three continued reading, "You are to come alone, so we may discuss on some important matters. If you don't appear alone, I will not bother to show up."

Three finished the letter and stuffed it into his coat. He simply sat on his bed to ponder what his next course of action. Since the letter mentioned they have some important matters to discuss, what choice does he have?

Three laid back on his bed. He wanted to get some rest until the time comes.

A couple of hours had passed by, Three had woken up as he heard a slight ringing noise in his ear. Three sat up on his bed. He placed a finger on his ear.

"This is Three," Three said to himself.

There was a voice sounded in his head. "Yes, we would like to inform you that the portal gate is working once more."

"Have you tested the portal gate to see if it's working properly?"

"Yes we have," The voice stated. "We have tested the portal gate by sending test subjects to some of the test points across the world. The result came in as a successful as soon as the test subjects ported back to the gate."

"Very well, have your team pack up. You all have been given the tomorrow off. Thank you for all your efforts."

"Thank you Sir!"

Three moved his finger from his ear as he ended the conversation. He stood up from his bed. He stretched a bit as a warm up.

Three moved to his weapon's rack again. Instead of grabbing the staff, Three grasped the two swords. He strapped the two swords around his waist underneath his coat. Once he was done, you can't even see the weapons.

With the preparation finished, Three headed out the door.

-*RWBY*-

Three entered the room with the portal gate. He simply stood there as he stared at the portal gate. After all that effort the Magic Department had put into this, the portal gate looked absolutely new.

Three slowly approached the portal gate but stopped in front of it. He pulled out the letter from his coat. Three quickly studied the magic formula before putting it back into his coat. Three kneel down as he placed both hands onto the ground. A blue magic circle appeared in front of Three. The pillars of the portal gate began to glow brightly.

After a couple of seconds later, the portal appeared in front of Three. Three stood up and admired the portal. After a bit, Three began to walk until he disappeared into the portal.

-*RWBY*-

In Remnant…

In the midst of night, a portal appeared on top of a rooftop. Three emerged out of the portal. He simply made a hand motion and the portal disappeared instantly.

Three gazed around the scenery of the city of Vale. He admired the technology these people possessed.

"So this is the world he has been," Three told himself.

Three began to move, so he can began his search for the missing leader. However, it didn't take Three barely a step for him to feel a blade against throat. Three realized now this was a trap. In responds, Three surrendered by putting his hands up.

"Take off your belt now!" the person with the knife ordered.

Three reached under his coat with one hand and unfastened his bed. Three held up his belt before tossing it off to the side.

"Now your two swords under your coat," the person with the knife continued.

"Damn! He knows also!" Three thought to himself as he reached underneath his coat. He unfastened both swords and tossed them with the belt. Three placed his hands back into the air.

"I will now peer into your mind," the person with the knife told Three.

Three felt a hand slipped underneath his hood and placed against his face. The hand glowed in a brief moment before the hand moved away from his face. Three, also, felt the knife moved away from his neck. This was the chance for Three to make his move. Three quickly turned around to face his attacker. To his surprise, the attacker wore the same coat as he did.

"State your number!" Three quickly ordered.

"I will state mine, if you state your first," the attacker responded.

Three had no choice to but to comply, he held up three fingers. The attack only responded by holding up one finger.

Three was stunned as he saw that finger. "Asarirn," Three said, "Is that you?"

"It is good to see you Three."

"Oh my god," Three sounded excited as he approached Asarirn. Three placed his hands on Asarirn's shoulder. "Are you alright? How are you?"

"Three…" Asarirn tried to get his attention but Three continued on.

"You know people were starting to think you might not come back."

"Three." Asarirn tried again but ended in failure.

"Are you sure you are not hurt? Because we can…"

"Mervinn!" Asarirn shouted which caused Three to actually stop talking.

Three cleared his throat as he made a complete fool of himself. "Sorry," Three apologized.

"It's fine."

Three looked around to check his surroundings, but he noticed something that confused greatly. He couldn't help but ask.

"Who is she?" Three pointed to Ruby Rose, who laid on the ground nearby. By the looks from Ruby, she appeared to be unconscious.

"I sort of had some complications," Asarirn sighed to himself.

"How so?"

"Well…"

Earlier…

Asarirn woke up from his sleep as he believed it was time to go with his plan. He checked his surroundings, he found the four girls appeared to be asleep.

He determined it was time to go. Asarirn slowly raised out his bed without trying to make any sound. Asarirn slowly crept towards the door.

Once he approached the door, Asarirn checked his surroundings once more. The girls were still asleep. With that, Asarirn left the room.

However, what Asarirn didn't know, there was one person who was awake. It was Ruby Rose.

The moment Asarirn shut the door behind him, Ruby shot up from her bed. She smiled as this was happening. Ruby threw off her blanket as she jumped from her bed. She already have her usual combat clothes on and was ready to move.

Ruby checked her surroundings to ensure her teammates are still asleep. Once the coast is clear, Ruby grabbed Crescent Rose and headed for the door. She peeked through the door to make sure it was alright to follow.

Ruby headed out of the door to begin to pursuit her target.

-*RWBY*-

Ruby followed Asarirn into Vale. As they entered the city, Asarirn decided to use the rooftop. Because of this, Ruby forced herself to follow Asarirn the same way.

Ruby watched as Asarirn jumped onto the next rooftop. She quickly try not to lose sight of her target as she took her running spot. Ruby was hesitant to jump because she never done it before. She can't afford to use her Crescent Rose for help because she might blow her cover if she does.

"Okay, if Blake and Arranis can jump on rooftops, then so can I," Ruby tried to convince herself

Ruby began to run towards the edge of the rooftop. As she came close to the edge, Ruby leaped into the air. She managed to land on the next rooftop without issue. Ruby broke into a roll upon landing.

Ruby looked for Asarirn once more. By the time she found him, Asarirn jumped for the next rooftop. Ruby gave a pouting face as she believed she might lose sight of Asarirn. Ruby took her running spot again before sprinting towards the edge of the rooftop.

Ruby jumped and landed onto the next rooftop. The moment Ruby stood up from her landing, she immediately searched for Asarirn. To her surprise, Asarirn was nowhere to be seen. Ruby moved to a random direction in hopes she would find Asarirn. However, the moment Ruby moved, someone grabbed her from behind.

Ruby struggled as a hand moved over her mouth. She couldn't identify her attacker as she being held.

"Sleep," Ruby recognized the voice.

Before she could do anything, Ruby felt an overwhelming sense of sleep. Ruby collapsed but an arm caught her underneath her. It was Asarirn that caught her.

Asarirn stared at the unconscious Ruby under his arm. The efforts she had put into just to follow him was rather impressive for Asarirn.

"These girls are so persistent," Asarirn said to himself. Asarirn reached into his coat and pulled out his Scroll. He checked the time and was unhappy by the result. "I seriously don't have time for this."

Asarirn tossed Ruby over his shoulder and began to jump onto the next rooftops to his destination.

Now…

"Well, we can't afford to let her know about us," Three stated, "We need to silence her."

Three flicked his wrist as a knife appeared in his hand. Three threw the knife at Ruby.

The knife traveled directly at Ruby. But, a second knife intercepted the first, causing both knives to deflect off each other. Three found the source of the second knife to be Asarirn's. Three was confused by Asarirn's action.

"I can't afford to let her die," Asarirn stated.

"Why?" Three sounded confuse. "Are you planning to rape her?"

"I am not going to do such a thing!"

Three began to laugh as he found Asarirn's reaction rather amusing, but Asarirn was silent.

"Sorry," Three continued to laugh, "Four told me to lighten up a bit."

"And how is that working out for you?"

Three's laugh stopped short, "Not so much."

Asarirn sighed as he casually walked to the edge of the rooftop. He sat on the ledge and stared out to city light. Three decided to join his leader on the ledge.

"What have you been doing all this time in this world?" Three asked.

"It's quite the story, my old friend."

"I have the time to listen."

-*RWBY*-

Asarirn told the major events that led up to his first arrival in this world. Three sat by his side, listening to all that Asarirn had said. Once Asarirn was done, Three was deeply surprised.

"Six's student attacked you because he was under Six's orders," Three stated. "The result of it, you forced yourself to kill him."

"That's exactly right," Asarirn confirmed.

"If what you said is true, then Six is a traitor to the organization," Three determined while Asarirn remained silent. Three quickly got onto his feet, "We need to go back home and bring Six into justice."

"Hold on, Tactician," Asarirn stopped Three from going any further. "There is a reason for not being able to return."

Three sat back down on the ledge and thought about it for a bit. "If Six can use others for his traitorous deed, then he isn't the only traitor in the organization."

"That is the very reason I can't go back," Asarirn said, "For my safety and everyone else's, it's best I stay here. If we capture Six now, then someone could easily take his place, making all our attempts be in vain."

"What should we do?"

"Simple," Asarirn sounded so confident, "we have to identify all the traitors in my organization."

"But Sir, that is easier said than done," Three complained.

"I know, that is why I will have you conduct the search for the traitors in secret."

"The amount of time it will take to find all the enemies is rather tremendous. You will have to stay here for a long time."

"I am very aware of it and I gladly accepted it," Asarirn said, Three responds in silence.

"Sir, there is something you need to know," Three said.

"What is it?"

Three took the time to tell Asarirn what happened earlier during the meeting. As Asarirn heard the story, he couldn't help but clenched his fist tightly in anger.

"Of course Six would try to convince you to go with the plan," Asarirn stated. He looked directly at Three, "Don't let Six try to change your mind for anything. Understand?"

"Understood," Three said.

"Before you go, there is something I need you to look at."

Asarirn pulled out the mysterious looking dagger from that first night in Vale.

"Where did you get that?" Three sounded surprise.

"So you know what this is," Asarirn handed the dagger to Three.

"Yes," Three confirmed as he inspected the dagger, "this is a weapon we have developed in the Magic Department. We couldn't test the weapon because we have finished it at the end of the day. However, by the time it was morning, the dagger was gone, leaving only with mana residue. We have concluded the weapon destroyed itself during the night."

"What is the purpose of this dagger?"

"The purpose for this dagger was a countermeasure against enemy mages or anyone who uses magic. Why?"

"The dagger was used on me."

Three quickly approached Asarirn. "I need to examine you for any damages."

Asarirn allowed Three to place his hand on his body. Three took in a deep breath as his hand began to glow.

"Your mana network is working fine," Three determined the results, "However, your mana capacity is rather small than what you usually have. Do you have any other problems?"

"It appeared I lost the knowledge to cast magic freely. I have to result in chanting out my spells.

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine."

"You know that is not what I meant."

Asarirn sighed before answering, "I only lost control once other than that; nothing. Why?"

"By the looks of it, the magic seal has been weakened. The next time you lose control, we don't know if you are able to regain control."

"I will keep that in mind."

Three moved his hand off of Asarirn. Three turned his head and stared at Ruby. "You didn't tell me what was the girl's purpose."

"After the events on that night, I managed to enroll myself into a combat school that specializes in fighting monsters. The girls is currently the leader of a team that I am in. Because of this, I have to keep my identity a secret."

"I see," Three said, "I say, I am quite impress with this world. The technology, here, is rather marvelous. But, I don't know about their magic usage.

"The people here don't use any mana in this world," Asarirn explained.

"I can see that," Three said, "I can sense so much untapped mana in the air. I would suggest you use this as much as possible."

"I will."

"With that said," Three bowed to Asarirn, "I will take my leave. I can't stay that much longer."

Three handed the dagger back to Asarirn. Asarirn placed the dagger back into coat.

Asarirn watched as Three picked up his things and walked to the middle of the rooftop. Three held up both of his hand into the air. Three chanted a word that caused both of his hands to glow. After a moment, the portal appeared in front of him.

"I will contact you again, if I need to speak with you," Asarirn told Three.

"Very well," Three looked at Ruby. "What are you going to do about the girl?"

"Don't worry I have a plan," Asarirn said with reassuring confidents.

"Well, stay safe my friend," Three said his goodbyes as he entered the portal.

The moment Three entered the portal, both he and the portal vanished into the air. Asarirn watched the portal disappeared, leaving Asarirn by himself. Well… sort of.

Asarirn walked up to Ruby, who remained unconscious. Asarirn crouched low near Ruby and simply stared at her. After a brief moment, Asarirn determined it was time to go.

Asarirn threw Ruby over his shoulder again. Asarirn held out his arm to his side. A dark purple magic circle appeared underneath them.

"Shadow Magic: Shadow Jump," Asarirn chanted the spell.

With that said, both Asarirn and Ruby, turned into black smoke as they disappeared into the air.

-*RWBY*-

Three emerged from the portal, back into the stronghold. Three took a couple of steps as the portal, behind him, disappeared.

"I see you are back," Three heard a voice. He realized someone with an elite member coat stood in front of him.

"State your number," Three ordered. The man responded by holding up six of his fingers, telling him it was Six.

"So, Three," Six began to speak, "where were you?"

"I just wanted to test the portal gate by going to the other world," Three lied. "Since I was there, I took the liberty to attempt to find our missing comrade."

"And?"

"The search ended in failure," Three stated, "I can't find any traces of our leader, his assistant, or your students. If you excuse me now, I would like to get some sleep."

Three began to walk for the exit, passing by Six as he walked by. But, Six didn't bother to look back.

"I think you are a better leader than our previous one," Six stated, causing Three to stop dead in his tracks.

As Six turned around to face Three, he felt a knife slipped past his face. Six noticed Three had his arm out as the knife passed him. Six could tell Three was not happy.

"I will give you a warning, Six," Three warned Six. "Know your place." Three turned around to face the exit. "Some people might not trust you for your behavior."

Six watched as Three left the room without saying another word, leaving Six by himself.

"I will keep that in mind," Six said to himself.

-*RWBY*-

The next morning, Ruby woke up from her bed. She stretched a bit as Ruby tried to wake herself up.

"Are you going to take a shower?" Ruby heard Arranis' voice. Ruby looked down from her bed to find Asarirn, waiting patiently on his bed.

Ruby looked around the room. She immediately realized that Weiss, Blake and her sister were not in the room. Ruby panicked. She quickly jumped off her bed and ran to her dresser.

After Ruby grabbed her things, she walked to the door but stopped. Ruby suddenly remembered something from last night and turned to face Asarirn.

"Where were you last night?" Ruby asked.

"I was asleep," Asarirn said in a confuse tone.

Ruby gave a confuse look as she could of swore she saw Asarirn out last night. Ruby remembered she had her usual gear on, but when Ruby looked down, she realized she was in her pajamas. After a bit, Ruby determined what she thought had happened was just a dream.

"Never mind then," Ruby said as she headed out the door.

The moment the door closed behind Ruby, Asarirn let a sigh of relief.

"That was a huge risk to trick her that way," Asarirn said to himself. "I have to be more careful next time."

Asarirn stared out the window, hopefully this would never happen again.

A/N: Another long chapter... done. I can't say for sure if my chapters is going to be this long for awhile or not. But a quick update, after looking back on my outline for this fanfiction, I have realized that... I fucked up (I want to apologize for my language, even though this is rated M). After looking back on my outline to check what to write for, when I first wrote my outline, I did not took account on what happened in this chapter. I don't want to spoiler anything for you guys to understand. But, because of this, I have to come up with an idea for another chapter to fill in. I have some stuff written down but I don't think it is good enough. If you want, you guys can pitch some ideas for some of my chapters to help me. But, what I am trying to say, the next chapter might take longer than a week, two at most, to upload. If you understand, thank you. If not, I'm sorry.
