Greetings, dear readers, and welcome back to All I Want For Christmas is a Pokémon. Well, it looks like training for AJ and Pikachu is set to begin soon! And just how will it go? Read on to find out, my dolls, and I hope you all enjoy. =)
Looking down at the Electric mouse, the brunette asked "So, Pikachu. You ready to go to the Training Zone?"
'Training Zone'. Just from the sound of this, it sounded like something that would help in his and the human named AJ's quest to get stronger. Nodding as he looked up at the human named AJ, Pikachu said "Pika."
Smiling at how he said that, AJ said "OK then, Pikachu, let's go. The Training Zone awaits."
Following along behind Kelsey and Chikorita to the Training Zone, AJ looked down at Pikachu. She couldn't see it on his face, but she could just tell that he may be a bit nervous about this. Rubbing the Electric mouse's back, AJ hoped that this would help with calming him down. 'Don't worry, Pikachu. We can do this. Just some harmless Training battles. That's all,' the brunette thought as she followed behind the attendant.
…
Blinking as he tilted his head in confusion at what he was seeing, Splat looked up to his Trainer before asking "Smea?"
"Yeah, I'm kinda confused too, Splat," the rainbow-haired wrestler said. Sure, at times, he knew his sister could get up to some weird things-some of those things she'd help him with, like when she helped him set up a jack in the box animatronic to give some of their fellow roster members a scare for Halloween-but, seeing her now, sitting in wait near an area where she set out an array of different Berries, it just seemed strange. Clearing his throat, Jeff asked "Hey, si-"
Shushing her brother, Alex whispered "Quiet! Can't you see I'm on the lookout here?"
"Whoa, sorry, sis. But, just what are you on the lookout for exactly? You don't have some kind of prank set up somewhere near here, do you?"
"No, not here. I wouldn't want to be a bother to the hotel staff or piss anyone off, so pretty much any pranks from me are saved for when we head out. No, this is a trap of sorts I have set up for a blue blur," Alex explained before returning her attention to the spot she had set up for the mystery Pokémon.
'Blue blur? Just what the heck does Lexi mean? …Oh well. I can stay and watch. Not really doing much now anyway,' the rainbow-haired man thought with a shrug as he and his Pokémon joined Alex on her Pokéwatch.
…Said watch only lasting a few minutes more before a slightly irritated sigh escaped Alex. "Dude, what the heck? We've been here for a while now. How could a Pokémon not want any of the Berries I have here?"
"Well, Alex, if it's any consolation, Splat's been wanting one of those Pecha Berries for a while now," Jeff said, trying to help his sister feel better.
"Smear Smea Smea Smea," Splat nodded.
A light laugh escaping her, Alex said "OK, Splat. You can go get one."
"Smea!" Splat happily said before making his way over to the Berry pile. He just got to the Berries when, all of a sudden, a blue streak could be seen heading his way.
Seeing the incoming attack to his Pokémon, Jeff yelled "Splat! Move! Dodge out of the way of that!"
Hearing his Trainer say that and seeing what was coming his way, Splat quickly dodged out of the path of the incoming attack by jumping back to where the humans were.
Watching all of this happen, Alex blurted "A-ha! Finally caught you!" as she looked ahead to the blue Pokémon caught in her Berry-covered trap.
…
Having reached Chelsea and Chikorita, AJ and Pikachu soon saw themselves standing outside of what looked to be a walled off playground of sorts, one of a few others indoors, some currently occupied by other Trainers and their Pokémon.
Seeing that she was now joined by the inquisitive pair, Chelsea said "OK, AJ. This is one of the many Training Zones that we have here. Would you rather do your Training in here or outside?"
"Umm," AJ said as she thought this over. 'Maybe outdoors would be better? I want to try out some of Pikachu's Electric-type moves, and I want him to have the space to be able to run around and build up his speed.' Nodding at this idea, AJ said "If it's not too much trouble, can we go use one of the outdoor Training Zones? Pikachu has moves I'd like to try out, plus I want to help him work on building his speed."
"OK, AJ, no problem. If you and Pikachu would follow me, I can take you both outside," Kelsey said.
"Chik Chiko," Chikorita gestured with a wave of one of his vines.
"OK," the brunette nodded. Following behind the pair, she soon followed Kelsey and Chikorita through a pair of double doors that led outside. Looking around at the various outdoor Training Zones, she felt impressed. There were spaces that looked like traditional battle areas, some that looked like they were built on or around ponds, and others that actually had slightly rocky terrain. Feeling amazed by all of this, all AJ and Pikachu could do was stare in surprise.
"Now, which space would you like to try out some moves in?" Kelsey asked. It confused her for a bit as to why she didn't yet get an answer from AJ until she looked and saw the surprise on her face. A light laugh escaping her, Kelsey said "I'm going to take a quick guess and say that you weren't expecting anything like this."
"N-No, I-I wasn't actually," AJ said after finding her words. "I was honestly just expecting to see just some squared off areas like you'd see in a stadium for a battle. Not something like all of this."
"Don't worry. That tends to be most people's first thought when they come here. That's actually how our facility was at first. But then we had to deal with some people asking for areas where they could Train their Water-types and others asking for areas where they could Train their Fighting-, Rock-, and Ground-types before we decided to expand our overall facility and do what we could to help accommodate a number of different Pokémon types. Which helps make us one of the top Training Centers in the country."
"Wow. Impressive," AJ said after having heard this history lesson about the Center. "So, which area do you think would be best to use to help with training Pikachu?"
"Huh, that's actually a good question there," Kelsey said. Thinking back on what AJ said she wanted to do for Pikachu's training, the two-toned woman suggested "Well, you said you wanted to help Pikachu work on building up his speed, right? If I can suggest a Zone to start out in, I'd go for one of the Normal areas. Some Trainers use those as ways of helping their Pokémon with gaining speed, be it either for attacks or for other purposes."
"OK, that sounds like a plan. Plus, according to the paper you gave me, Pikachu knows Quick Attack, so we can start with that," AJ said. Looking down at Pikachu, the brunette asked "So, Pikachu, how about it? Ready to show us how fast you can go?"
'How fast you can go'? That almost sounded like a joke, like a challenge. Feeling a slight smirk tug at the corners of his mouth, Pikachu said with a nod "Pik Pika."
So, it's looking like training is now a go for AJ and Pikachu! And it sounds like they have some pretty great facilities to do so in, with AJ smartly choosing to take their training outside (wouldn't want Pikachu's practice attacks to potentially hurt any of the others training), something Pikachu sounds eager about doing (Yay, Electric boi! You got this!). But, let's not forget about what was going on with Alex. It looks like her stakeout near her "trap" (Berry pile, basically...one can only do so much to try catching a Pokémon without not really knowing what it is XD ) led to her finally catching the mystery blue blur (that luckily didn't hit Splat with ...whatever kind of attack that was). Just what is the mystery Pokémon? Will Alex be able to do anything about it? And most importantly (most definitely) how will AJ working with Pikachu tp build up his speed and Quick Attack power go? These questions shall be answered...next time! Until then, don't forget to RR please. =)
(Now, I know I didn't include her in this chapter, but after seeing an article about her yesterday, I would just like to say congratulations to Kaitlyn/Celeste Bonin on her marriage! *throws up confetti in celebration of her marriage* May she and her husband have happy and healthy lives together. I wish them both all the best.)
(Stay safe, warm, and healthy out there, lovelies. *sends love and positive vibes out to you all*)
