Asarirn stood in the middle of a large room. In the center of the room, there was a large raised circular platform used as an arena. Lighting this room was a crown of floodlights all pointed down on the platform. This was the training hall. Every student may use this room as a place to practice their skills, teamwork, or some private training. Teams have the option to reserve this room for themselves for a set amount of time. That was what Asarirn has done. Asarirn reserved this room this early in the morning, around five-ish, as a member of Team RWBY.
Asarirn continued to stand in the middle of the room. He had on his usual black coat with his hood over his head. Asarirn had his eyes closed as he tried to use his magic to sense anyone within the area. A moment later, he sensed there was nobody nearby, which usually means the coast was clear. Asarirn pulled off his hood, and the lights of the room flooded his face. He looked around the room for cameras, even though Asarirn had checked for them when he first entered the room. He can't be too careful. Again, there was nothing.
Asarirn took in a deep breath as he held out his hand in front of him. In a flash, the Mystical Blade of Earth; Rockslide, appeared in his hand. With the Mystical Blade in hand, Asarirn made his stance. He started with a series of slashes and sword thrusts into the air in front of him. Continuing from those attacks, Asarirn quickly flipped his blade by the handle. He slashed at the air as he twirled his body with the slashes of the blade. Asarirn ended the onslaught by leaping forward as he planted both his hands into the ground. Asarirn twisted his body as he delivered a downward kick. As the kick made contact with the ground, Asarirn used the same foot to leap into the air. Asarirn slammed the blade down in front of him. He quickly jumped back from the invisible target. Asarirn grabbed the sword by both hands as he readied his stance once more. A brown light surrounds both Asarirn and Rockslide.
"The Strength of the earth is my strength alone," Asarirn chanted the spell as he held out the blade one-handed. "Reveal your true form: Rockside."
The Mystical Blade transformed into a great sword in his hand. Asarirn gave the greatsword a twirl before planting the greatsword into the ground. Asarirn held out his left hand as he kept the other hand on the handle. Once again, a brown light surrounds Asarirn and the Mystical Blade.
"I am one with the Earth, no matter how much my enemy wants to move me," Asarirn chanted the spell as he pulled the greatsword from the ground. "I am unmovable like the mountains. Reveal your true form: Mountain's Edge!"
Both Asarirn and the Mystical Blade shine brightly for a moment before the brown light vanished completely. Asarirn dropped the greatsword as he collapsed onto his hands and knees. The greatsword landed on the ground with cracks the ground surrounding the sword. The Greatsword reverted into its original form and laid on the ground next to Asarirn. Asarirn ignored the Mystical Blade for the time being as he was breathing heavily. Sweat dripped from his face like he just had a full-blown workout. Asarirn kept breathing heavily for a few minutes as he tried to get a bearing of himself.
"Mana Absorption," Asarirn called out a spell. The spell is followed by Asarirn surrounded in blue light. The blue light remained there for a few seconds by disappearing. The heavy breathing stopped almost immediately.
"Did that really take all my mana?" Asarirn thought to himself.
Asarirn stood up from the ground, along with picking up Rockslide. He gave a quick look at the blade. Nothing unusual came from the blade. Asarirn did not say anything as he kneels and punched the ground. Asarirn stared out as if he was expecting something to happen. After a moment, nothing happened.
"Earth Magic: Rock Spikes!" Asarirn chanted as he punched the ground once more. A brown magic circle appeared where he had punched the ground. Spikes after spikes shot out of the ground, from where Asarirn had punched the ground, forming a line. He watched the spell happen right in front of him. The look on his face told he was displeased with the results.
"Do I still have to call out my spell?" Asarirn questioned his ability to cast magic. He shook Rockslide a little bit even though Asarirn was aware that would not fix his issue.
Asarirn stood up from the ground and held out his free hand. The Mystical Blade of Ice, Ice Weaver, appeared in his hand. Without saying anything, Asarirn gave a close inspection of the blade. His eyes move across the blade, from the tip of the blade up to the hilt.
"Don't even think about it," a voice in his head spoke. Asarirn gave a confused look on his face before glancing back at Ice Weaver. Nothing unusual came from the blade. Asarirn stared at both blades in his hands. Earth and Ice, one in each hand, Asarirn thought about the sheer power these blades give off. After a moment, Asarirn sighed in disappointment.
"This was a fail attempt," Asarirn told himself as both Mystical Blades vanished on command. He placed a hand on his hand as he wanted to ponder more on the thought of his spells. But he was only distracted by the sweat on his face. Asarirn looked over at the ground where laid his school uniform he had brought with him. Asarirn pulled up his hood and walked over to pick up his uniform. Asarirn believed this was a good time to stop and go get ready for school. With that said, Asarirn departed from the training hall and proceed to the showers.

Back in the dorm room of Team RWBY, all the girls remained asleep in their beds. They slept as the time for them to wake up for the day approached. However, even with their alarm was set at a certain time, the sun decided to give one of the girls an early wake-up call. The sunlight beamed through the small crack in the curtains. The small sunlight was enough to shine on Ruby's face. Ruby turned her body around away from the light to try to continue to sleep, but that was enough to interrupt her sleep flow.
Ruby lay on her back as she slowly opened her eyes. She sat up and let out a big yawn, and at the same time, she stretched her body. Ruby reached over and picked up her scroll which lay next to her pillow. She checked the time: 6:07 am. Ruby gave an annoyed look as she was awoken this early in the morning. Ruby decided to check the rest of her teammates to see if anyone else was awake.
Ruby glanced her eyes over to Yang's bed. Yang had her body sprawled across her bed as she remained in her peaceful state. From Yang's bed, Ruby moved her gaze down towards Blake's bed, laid there was Blake. Blake had her body curled up like a ball with her blanket tightly wrapped around her body. Sometimes, Ruby questioned whether or not Blake acted more like a cat than a person. From Blake's bed, Ruby moved her attention from Blake's bed to the empty bed in the middle. Without stopping, Ruby continued to attention to her bunk bed but stopped. Ruby laid her head back down because there was no reason to check on Weiss, knowing full well she was enjoying her beauty sleep. Ruby closed her eyes to get some sleep before the alarm goes off.
Not even a couple of seconds later, Ruby's eyes shot open. She quickly looked over the edge of her bed to the empty bed in the middle of the room. Ruby looked around the room and found Arranis nowhere to be found. "He can't be that far, right?" Ruby thought to herself. She needed the help of her teammates.
"Guys wake up!" Ruby shouted to her teammates. "Guys I need you to wake up!"
"What is it, Ruby? I'm trying to maintain my beauty sleep!" Weiss sounded groggy.
"Arranis is gone," Ruby quickly answered. All the other girls scanned around the room from their beds to confirm Ruby's statement. After a quick search of the room, they realized their fifth member was missing once more.
"Do you think he had gone far?" Yang asked.
"One way to find out," Blake stated.
Everyone in the room did not waste any time hopping out of their beds. Of course, because all the girls are wearing their usual nightwear, they must quickly change. The girls began to strip right on the spot. Ruby began by pulling down her pajama pants, exposing her rose-pattern panties. Following that, she lifted and took off her top, exposing her breast because Ruby does not wear a bra while asleep. Weiss pulled up her nightgown enough to pull off the whole thing. That left Weiss with only her white bra with matching panties. Blake undid her kimono that exposed her average size breast, along with a pair of black panties to cover her privates. Yang pulled off her orange tank top to expose her to a rather large breast. She did not waste any time becoming fully nude by pulling down her black shorts to expose her ass and private out of the open.
Everyone continued to strip until each of the girls are fully nude. They began to gather clothes for them to dress up. However, the girls froze as the doorknob of their room turned. The door opened as Asarirn, with his school uniform on, entered the room. Asarirn stopped by the sight of a room full of nude girls as the girls stared at him. Took only three seconds for Asarirn to realize the situation he was in. Within those three seconds, this sight was going to burn into Asarirn's memories.
Asarirn did not say anything as he turned around towards the door. He casually, but quickly, headed out the door with him trying to close the door behind him. However, if that was that easy for Asarirn. Ruby decided to run over to the door and grabbed the door, preventing Asarirn from closing the door. Asarirn turned around to see a young Ruby Rose without any piece of clothing holding the door. Asarirn's eyes stared at the desperate look on hers and then traveled down to her exposed breast. His eyes continued to travel down towards Ruby's privates. Her legs are slightly spread out as she used one of her feet to hold the door. Asarirn quickly turned his head.
"WE'RE NOT TRYING TO MAKE YOU THINK WE ARE THINKING ON FINDING YOU," Ruby blurted out as she continued to hold the door. "WE JUST HAPPEN TO START GETTING READY EARLY!"
Asarirn turned his head back to acknowledge before turning his head away, "Don't worry, I didn't even occur that thought, but-"
Ruby interrupted Asarirn and continued with her case, "I JUST DON'T WANT YOU THINK WE DON'T TRUST YOU OR ANYTHING."
"That's alright, but-" Asarirn said as he turned his head before turning away.
"I just don't want you to be angry-," Ruby interrupted again and continued.
"PLEASE," Asarirn interrupted and turned his head to face Ruby. "Just cover yourself."
Ruby took a moment to stop talking before looking down. She realized she was not wearing any clothes and was displaying herself in front of Asarirn. Ruby's face slowly goes bright red as she slowly looked up at her male teammate. Ruby releases her hold on the door and uses one of her arms to cover her breasts with the hands on the other one to cover her privates. That gave Asarirn the chance to escape by closing the door behind him.
The rest of the girls remained still, fully nude, watching the event between Ruby and their male hooded teammate. They watched as Ruby slowly turned towards them, with her arms still covering herself. With her extremely blushed face, Ruby gazed over at the girls, hoping for some support. However, the girls gave Ruby the look that questioned her recent actions.
-*RWBY*-
Asarirn stood in front of the door of their team after he closed the door. He had a hand covering his face. If Asarirn wasn't wearing his hood, people could see how red his face was. The only thing that was fresh in his mind was the nude girls of his team. From flowing hair to their breasts of different sizes, their hips that determine the size of their asses, and lastly the outline of their private areas. Of course, Asarirn was a guy and was only natural for a guy like him to think about this kind of stuff. Asarirn, also, realized the girls were fairly attractive after thinking about them.
Asarirn shook the thoughts out of his head. He needed to focus on the current situation he was currently in. After Asarirn was away for a certain number of days, he was hoping he would return without rising any issues. However, Asarirn did not expect to be in this situation. The thought of him leaving never occurred in his mind. He left for the reason of he was being a danger to others, not something as trivial as this. But how does he supposed to talk to them after seeing them without any clothes? The question is, are they going to make things awkward with him?
In the quiet hallway of the dorms, Asarirn remained quiet in front of the door to his team. The quiet was interrupted by the sound of the door opening, causing Asarirn to look in that direction. The door opened just enough to see only Ruby's head. Asarirn noticed Ruby's eyes were darting back and forth. Her eyes would gaze at Asarirn before darting away.
"You can come in," Ruby said as she had a hard time maintaining eye contact.
Asarirn did not say anything as he walked back into the room.
-*RWBY*-
Asarirn followed Ruby back into their room. Asarirn noticed all the girls have their sleepwear back on. Asarirn noticed Yang was sitting on his bed, Weiss sat on her bed with her arms folded, there was a slight blush of embarrassment, and Blake was on her bed. All the girls remained quiet as Asarirn stood in the middle of the room. He noticed all the girls were not looking at him.
"That was bound to happen, since you are the only guy here, huh," Yang said as she made eye contact with Asarirn. Asarirn only responded by slightly nodding his head.
"I'm just curious," Blake began to speak, "this is the first time you decided to leave very early in the morning."
"Due to my absents due to personal encounters, I was reluctant to find the time for training," Asarirn explained. "I was informed there was a training room open to the students. I decided to take this upon myself to catch up on my training."
"Training, huh," Ruby said to herself.
"If that's the case," Blake concluded. "Might as well start the day.
All the girls started to gather their thing to start the day. The girls started to head to the door with their things.
"I hope you enjoyed the show," Yang said to Asarirn she walked by.
The door to the room closed as Asarirn was the only one in the room. Asarirn shook his head at Yang's comment. He did not like Yang poke fun at the situation.
-*RWBY*-
Half of the school day went by without any issues. There was not much of a conversation among the team. There could be a chance that the events from earlier may cause them to remain quiet. Lunchtime rolled around, and the whole team of Team RWBY sat on one side of the table, waiting for the members of Team JNPR to arrive. They remained quiet as they consume their food.
A couple of minutes later, Team JNPR arrived with their tray of food. They smiled as they were relieved to see their friends at the table. One by one, the team sat on the opposite side of Team RWBY.
"Hey guys," Jaune greeted the team.
"Oh, hey guys," Ruby just realized their friends were in front of them.
The team realized team RWBY was awfully quiet.
"Did something happen?" Pyrrha asked.
"Nothing happens," Ruby said as she continued to eat without maintaining any eye contact.
Nora took a moment to realize what was happening. "Oh my god, it happens," Nora guessed as she pointed towards Asarirn. "He saw you guys without your clothes on!"
Everyone stopped eating as Nora hit right on the mark. All the girls of team RWBY gave each other quick looks before looking back at Nora.
"Tell me," Nora pressed on, "Did he see you guys in your underwear or fully nude?"
The girls did not say anything as Ruby was the only one with her face started to blush.
"HE SAW YOU GUYS NAK- "Nora was about to finish her statement, but Jaune and Pyrrha managed to cover Nora's mouth with their hands before she had the chance to finish that sentence.
"That was bound to happen when there was a guy started to live with you girls," Pyrrha claimed. "Have you considered making a schedule when it's convenient to change?"
"We're not seriously going to talk about this," Asarirn stated, but his voice was slightly quiet.
"That's the thing," Ruby continued, "we have an agreement that he would be outside while we change."
"We really are talking about this," Asarirn sighed to himself.
"You need to consider their privacy when they are changing," Nora pointed at Asarirn.
"Beside the point," Asarirn defended himself. "I decided to step out very early in the morning. Early enough, the girls remained asleep by the time I left. By the time I would retreat to the dorm, they should remain asleep."
"Wait," Pyrrha sounded confused. "Why did you leave that early in the morning?"
"I wanted to catch up on my training," Asarirn began to explain. "Ever since my departure, I did not have the time to keep myself in shape. I left to practice my sword technique."
"Then why did you guys were changing that early?" Jaune was curious.
"Well," Ruby began to laugh as she was rubbing the back of her head nervously. "We just happened to start our day that early."
While everyone was staring at Ruby, nobody can see Weiss throwing a facepalm reacting to Ruby's response.
"Anyway," Ruby tried to diverge the line of questioning. "What kind of training were you doing, Arranis?"
Asarirn took a moment before answering, "I was practicing my sword techniques."
An idea popped into Ruby's mind as soon as Asarirn mentioned training. An idea Ruby not only work on some team exercises but as well as finding more about her male teammate's technique. "We need to do some training as a team!" Ruby liked the idea.
"Yeah!" Yang hopped on board with this idea. The rest of the girls nodded as they were also on board.
Asarirn sat quietly in his seat as if this might be a bad idea. The fact Asarirn had only training to his limit with the Mystical Blades. He is not in a condition to continue training, but he can't afford to raise any concerns.
-*RWBY*-
The school day ended with another sparring class with Professor Goodwitch. Team RWBY entered the sitting area and occupied a spot. Asarirn sat down with Weiss occupied a seat on Asarirn's left and followed by Blake on Weiss' left. Ruby sat on the other side of Asarirn followed by Yang sitting next to her sister. The whole team watched the other students taking their seats and waiting for the class to start.
There was something on Weiss' mind she needs to ask Asarirn. "Are you planning on using the Mystical Blade, since you don't have your weapon?" Weiss leaned in and asked.
Asarirn took a moment and pondered. He could only recall Cardin destroying his special blade before the situation where he was forced to leave for a bit. During that time, Asarirn did not have a chance to find a replacement. Asarirn did not take long to answer the question. "I do not have the reason to use the Mystical Blade."
"Is it because of the will of the Mystical Blades?" Weiss asked.
"That is a reason, but it is not the main reason," Asarirn explained. "I see the weapon as part of real combat. I don't have the reason to use them if I am not going to be serious."
"Then what are you planning on for a weapon if you get called again?" Ruby decided to chime in.
Asarirn only responds by folding his arms together as he pondered the situation. "I will figure something out."
"If anything, you could always use mine." Ruby attempted to help him.
"I appreciate the offer; however, I like to solve this on my own."
Students migrated into the room, filling the open seats. All the students had their combat equipment attire. There were chatters amongst the crowd until Professor Glenda Goodwitch. The conversations from every student ended as soon as the professor took center stage.
"Good afternoon class," Glenda greeted the class. "As you may already have learned, we have students paired against each other to refine their skills and techniques. I hope everyone is ready since this session will be graded." The whole class groaned in response. "We will use the matchmaking system to pair each of you for a match."
The whole class turned their attention to the giant screen on the wall. Each half of the screen began to cycle through the students' pictures. A second later, the left side slowed down to a halt, stopping on Cardin Winchester's picture.
"I wonder the poor sap that has to deal with me," Cardin commented while his team snickered among themselves.
The rest of the class ignored their comments as they continued to watch the screen. Another second later, the right side of the screen slowed down to a halt, stopping on Asarirn's picture. The room immediately fell silent.
"Cardin Winchester and Arranis Shadow, please step on the stage," Glynda directed the two students.
Cardin stood up from his seat as he has shown a grin as he wanted to have a rematch against Asarirn. Before Asarirn had a chance to stand, Weiss quickly raised her hand while standing up herself.
"Miss Goodwitch, Weiss trying to grab the professor's attention. "Unfortunately, Arranis does not have a weapon."
"Every student must always come prepared before every class," Glynda explained. "Either Mr. Shadow fight without a use of a weapon or he may take a failing grade for this session."
"Then Arranis may barrow my weapon for this fight," Weiss responded.
"I can't allow you to do that," Glynda replied. "Amid an actual fight, one does not simply 'barrow' a weapon."
During the debate between Weiss and the professor, Ruby heard a faint whisper. Took only a moment to realize the whispers are coming from Asarirn. Without bringing attention to herself, Ruby slightly lean closer to Asarirn. She only can make out some words which consist of rock and strength. Ruby doesn't know why Arranis was whispering and why those words were included.
"The choice is up to you, Mr. Shadow," Glynda brought the attention to Arranis.
Without saying anything, Asarirn stood up from his seat and started to make his way toward the stage. Cardin responded by proceeding to the stage. Each of them occupied one side of the stage from the opposite side from the other. Cardin held up his signature mace, pointing at Asarirn. Asarirn simply stood there facing Cardin.
"Are ready for the beating of your life?" Cardin threaten.
"Last time I remember," Asarirn responded, "I nearly ended your life."
Cardin gritted his teeth as he did not like that response.
"Enough both of you," Glynda intervened. "I hope for the sake of you two this fight end this childish rivalry."
Glynda raised her right hand to the air as she was ready to start. A moment later, she moved the hand down to signal the fight had started.
"Come get-" Before Cardin had a chance to finish speaking, he watched Asarirn from a distance only half a second later to find Asarirn appearing in front of him. Cardin tried to move back from him. Asarirn watched as Cardin leaned back a bit which prompted Asarirn to react by moving to Cardin's side. With the use of Asarirn's left leg, he swung and kicked at the back of Cardin's legs, causing his legs to fly up. For that brief moment of Cardin being airborne, Asarirn formed a fist as he swings downward. A green aura formed around the fist. The fist made contact with Cardin's chest, but Asarirn continued to move his fist down. Asarirn smashed Cardin onto the ground with enough force to crack the ground underneath Cardin.
After the dust settled, Asarirn stood upright and flicked his hand to wave away the green aura. There was silence in the arena. Asarirn didn't say anything as he simply patted himself before walking away.
Glynda sighed to herself as she believes that was a bit excessive.
"The winner of the fight is Arranis Shadow," Glynda announced to the class. "As you witness, if you surprise your opponent, you can create an opportunity to take advantage of your opponent as Mr. Shadow demonstrated."
Asarirn walked to where he sat originally and sat between the girls without saying anything. The girls around him didn't say anything as they thought this was expected.
"Are you sure you are not mad," Ruby asked.
"I was," Asarirn hated to admit.
"So, you were mad!" Ruby grinned as she was right. Asarirn turned his head towards Ruby. Ruby quickly turned her head away. Despite coving his face with a hood, Ruby did not want to feel the dagger-like glare at her.
"Still a bit excessive," Weiss commented.
"But that was awesome!" The whole team can hear Nora's voice behind. They turned around and find Team JNPR was right behind them.
"This is the kind of fight I want to see," Nora continued. "I totally approve of this!"
Nora gave a thumbs up as a sign of approval. Asarirn simply turned around forward and slowly place his hand over his face. The girls chuckle to themselves as they find the light in the situation.
-*RWBY*-
The girls of Team RWBY entered the door that led into the training room. Asarirn followed them behind. The room is the same one that Asarirn trained early that day. The feeling of being alone in this room compared to being with the team is quite different. He doesn't have the heart to be his true self yet. The thought trailed away as he watched Ruby continue to walk forward.
"So, what kind of training are we doing today, Sis?" Yang asked.
Ruby excitedly spun herself with a smile on her face to face her team while pointing at Asarirn. Asarirn could only flinch in response.
"Since you are still new to the team," Ruby started to address Asarirn, "we, girls, never had a chance to see how well you fight up close."
Asarirn took a brief moment to try to recall if they truly watched him fight. However, he can only remember the girls seeing him for short moments. Asarirn nodded in agreement.
"What do you have in mind?" Asarirn asked.
"We are going to have a small fight," Ruby explained with a smile on her face, "It going to be us girls versus you."
Asarirn pondered for a moment. The idea that the fight is four against one was quite unfair on Asarirn's side. However, this was not a serious fight.
"I don't have a weapon," Asarirn patted his side.
"You can use your magic sword or whatever it is," Ruby said as she turned around and headed towards the middle of the stage.
"Magic? It's-" Asarirn was stunned as he tried to act dumb. Before he had a chance to correct Ruby, Weiss decided to chime in.
"It is called the Mystical Blade, Ruby," Weiss stated. "I don't think actual magic exists."
All the girls looked at Asarirn for confirmation on the subject. He could only shrug in response.
The girls moved over to one side of the stage while Asarirn moved to the other side. They faced each other and the girls waited. Asarirn without saying a word held out his hand in front of him. Snow started to form in his hand and the Mystical Blade of Ice appeared in his hand. Asarirn made his stance with his weapon. The girls readied themselves as well. Ruby pulled out her Crescent Rose and switched into scythe mode. Weiss drew out her Myrtenaster and readied her stance. Blake pulled out her Gambol Shroud from her back and readied herself by grasping the hand with both hands. Yang held up her fist as her Ember Celica transformed from wristband into gauntlets.
The girls held their stance as they stared at Asarirn while Asarirn held his stance as he stared at the girls.
"Whenever you are ready," Asarirn announced.
Without warning, Yang started to sprint while the rest of the girls maintain their position. As Yang came close enough to Asarirn, she opened up by throwing out a barrage of jabs and ending with a hard punch. Asarirn watched each of Yang's swings as he dodged each attack. With the final punch from Yang, Asarirn quickly spun around the punch, putting himself to Yang's side. Asarirn began his counterattack by bringing up his arm and slamming his elbow into Yang's face. Yang staggered a bit which prompted Asarirn to finally used his blade. Asarirn swing the blade towards Yang before she could recover. However, Yang managed to bring up her arms to block the incoming strike. Asarirn swung himself to deliver a second attack. As the second strike landed, Yang's arms were knocked away as they created an opening.
Asarirn didn't want to waste the chance to continue the onslaught. As Asarirn was about to lunge forward, he quickly leaped back as the tip of Myrtenaster passed in front of him. Weiss did not waste any by charging toward Asarirn. Asarirn used the Mystical Blade to parry incoming fury of thrust attacks from Weiss. As Asarirn swung heavily at Weiss' weapon causing the weapon to be knocked away, he continued his swing as he spun himself for his blade to clash with Blake's blade.
Asarirn pushed back Blake's blade to break free just to turn to parry Weiss' attack. He did not have a choice but to start moving backward. Asarirn used a combination of parries and blocks on both Weiss and Blake's relentless attacks. Suddenly, Weiss and Blake both jump away from Asarirn in a diagonal direction as Yang dashed in between the girls straight at Asarirn. Asarirn barely had enough time to rise his weapon to block. Yang already had her fist ready as she struck at Asarirn. Yang struck at the middle of Asarirn's chest but was blocked by his blade. The force from Yang's strike caused Asarirn to slide back, putting some distance between them.
Asarirn was taken aback by the sudden girls' coordination. Before Asarirn had a chance to fully recover, he watched as Weiss and Blake charged at him the same as before followed by Yang. Asarirn readied himself for the next onslaught, however, Asarirn felt something was wrong. Where is Ruby? Asarirn quickly turned himself around as he began to swing his weapon. To somewhat a surprise to Asarirn, he found himself locked blades with Ruby's Cresent Rose.
"She's fast," Asarirn thought to himself. He never had a chance to see Ruby fight in action. Asarirn noticed Ruby's determination in her eyes as she tries to push back. Asarirn was taken aback a bit by how much effort she was putting in. Asarirn snapped out of that thought as he only has seconds before the girls caught up to him.
"I should summon another weapon," Asarirn suggested himself but quickly dismissed that thought. "I wanted to see how I fair against them without the use of magic."
Asarirn used his body weight to push against his weapon. Ruby leaned back to the point that Asarirn managed to break free. Asarirn broke free from the hold by finishing his swing with all his strength, causing Ruby to stagger. He quickly held up his leg before striking Ruby with the bottom of his boot. The strike of the kick was blocked by Ruby holding up her Cresent Rose, however, the kick had enough power to force her to slide backward. Asarirn did not waste any time turning to face the remaining of the team.
Asarirn readied himself once more as he watched Blake lead the charge.
Blake dashed as she drew her secondary blade from her weapon the closer she was to him. Blake unleashed a series of blade movements from her two blades. Asarirn focused on her blades as he began to deflect her blades. Asarirn stopped her assault by plunging his weapon straight at Blake's right foot. Blake quickly lifted her foot to move out of the way of the blade. Asarirn stopped his blade before striking the ground and twisted the blade before slashing upwards at Blake. Blake barely had enough time to react by leaning backward. With the combination of Blake's right foot off the ground and her center of gravity shift backward, Asarirn quickly sweeps with his foot at Blake's other foot. Blake fell backward. As she was falling, Asarirn brought up his foot before slamming his foot onto Blake. Blake slammed hard against the ground.
Asarirn turned his attention to the other two girls just in time for him to sidestep out of the way. A point from a rapier barely passed him. Using his free hand, Asarirn grabbed onto Weiss' hand that held her weapon. He pulled her hand forcing her to spin around him. At the same time, Yang was in the process of throwing a punch as she came close enough. In a second, Asarirn forced Weiss in the path of Yang's punch. The two did not have enough time to react to one another as Yang landed a punch on Weiss' face.
Weiss staggered but didn't move far as Asarirn still held on to her hand. Asarirn swung the blade towards Yang which prompt her to jump back. He used that opportunity to let go of Weiss' hand before swinging his leg, slamming his foot into her chest. Weiss was knocked backward to the ground.
Asarirn dashed towards Yang who was confused by her sudden friendly fire. He held his blade low on his left side, preparing for a strike. Yang focused her attention on Asarirn's blade to anticipate the incoming strike. However, Yang did not realize Asarirn swing his leg in for a kick instead of the sword swing. The kick landed directly on Yang's left face. She knocked down on her side.
Asarirn felt relieved as he cut down the number but he knew he is not out of the woods yet. He turned around to face the leader of his team. However, Ruby was nowhere in sight. Asarirn felt a presence directly behind him. He quickly turned around while swinging his sword. When he turned around, he realized he just slashed at thin air. Again, Ruby was nowhere to be seen, only a trail of rose petals.
"There is no way she is this fast!" Asarirn thought. At the same time, he felt another presence behind again. Before he could react, Asarirn felt something hard pressed against his back. Ruby stood directly behind Asarirn with the barrel of her rifle pressed on his back. Asarirn froze as he tried to figure out a way out of this situation.
"If I were to move, how fast can you pull the trigger?" Asarirn dared to ask while remaining still.
"Within a fraction of a second," Ruby answered with confidence.
Asarirn realized there was no way he can get out of this after failing to catch Ruby. There was no way of knowing whether Ruby was telling the truth or not. Asarirn could only slowly raise both hands until they are both above his head. He released his grip on Ice Weaver, causing the blade to fall out of his hand. The Ice Mystical Blade impale into the ground.
"It's my loss," Asarirn admitted defeated while his hand still remained in the air. That put a smile on her face after hearing that. Ruby relaxed and lowered her weapon.
"It's your loss?" Yang questioned as he slowly picked herself back up. The rest of the girls slowly pick themselves up as well.
Asarirn took a moment to realize what he did to the girls during their fight.
"Oh..." Asarirn looked over to Yang. "Sorry for... kicking you in the face. From our last fight, I knew what you were capable of and I act on it."
"That's okay," Yang held up a thumbs up while rubbing her face. "I appreciated you didn't hold back on me."
"I wished you have done that for me," Weiss retorted. Weiss was rubbing the area on her face where Yang landed a punch.
"Well, everyone!" Ruby getting the attention of her team. "We still have the room for the rest of the hour. We will use the time to do some training."
Everyone nodded in acknowledgment of Ruby's words. Everyone started to find a place to begin training except for Asarirn. He pulled the blade from the ground before causing the blade to vanish with a trail of snow behind. Asarirn didn't say anything as he approached Ruby. She could only turn in his direction in response.
"I would like to sit this one out," Asarirn explained, "since I had only trained earlier in the day."
Ruby smiled. "You may Arranis, I wouldn't want you to overwork yourself."
Asarirn gave a simple bow before he walked away. He headed towards one of the four walls of the room. He found a spot as he sat down against the wall. Asarirn looked back at the girls and watched their training session. Each girl with their respective weapons performed various types of weapon attacks and movements.
Weiss noticed Asarirn sitting against the wall by himself without doing anything. She thought to herself if she could ask Asarirn to use the Mystical Blade. What is the harm in asking? Without saying anything, she began to approach Asarirn.
Asarirn watched Weiss approach him from the side. She stopped only a couple of feet away from Asarirn. Weiss got on her knees before bowing her head to the ground. Asarirn could already tell what she was going to say.
"I would like to request permission to use the Mystical Blade: Ice Weaver," Weiss maintained her posture.
Asarirn thought to himself as he stared at Weiss. He thought the first time he allowed her to see the blade would satisfy her and stopped asking.
"N-," Before Asarirn could reject Weiss' request, a voice popped into his head. "I would like the girl to give it a try."
Weiss looked from the ground to Asarirn. She could only watch him simply staring at her without saying anything. Wasn't long before Weiss watched Asarirn holding his hand before Weiss. Asarirn summoned the ice Mystical Blade. He placed the blade before Weiss. She stood up into a sitting position. Weiss looked at the blade before looking at Asarirn. Asarirn did not say anything as he continued to stare at her. Weiss can't tell since his hood hiding his face. In the end, Weiss smiled before she grasped the handle. She stood up before heading back to the training grounds.
The rest of the girls watched Weiss return with a newfound weapon. They smiled as they decided not to say anything. They go back to focusing on their own training.
Weiss stood there with the Mystical Blade in hand before taking a deep breath. She began to perform a couple of sword swings before returning back to her stance.
As she looked ahead of herself, she realized there stood a man facing her. The man wore a blue-white robe-styled robe. His hair was white as snow with crystal blue eyes. As soon as Weiss gazed upon his presence, Weiss felt lightheaded as she began to stumble.
"Why did you decide to take up my blade?" the mysterious person spoke.
Weiss struggled to stand up. She quickly looked at the rest of the girls. The girls remained occupied with their training. They did not notice the mystery person as he does not exist to them. Weiss thought the mystery person was a figment of her imagination, which increase her lightheadedness. She forced herself to use the blade to herself upright.
"Oh?" The mysterious person tilted his head and continued to speak. "You are rejecting the connection. That is quite interesting."
The mysterious person turned his head towards Asarirn. "She is quite the character we have. This girl wants access to this blade but at the same time, rejects the connection."
Asarirn remain seated as he watched the interaction between the man and Weiss. He was quite aware of this person's existence. Asarirn noticed the other girls does not notice his existence. Asarirn did not say anything as the person turned his head and spoke to him. He was forced to remain quiet as he wanted to know what was going to happen between the two.
The mysterious person turned back to Weiss. "Why do you want to use this blade's power?" The mysterious person pushed with the questions.
Weiss felt to the point she was losing consciousness. She started to lean forward. Ruby looked over to Weiss to check up on her. She quickly noticed Weiss was stumbling.
"Weiss?" Ruby tried to get her attention. Weiss didn't say anything, instead, she fell forward and collapsed onto the ground.
"Weiss!" Ruby called out to her fallen teammate. The rest of the girls turned towards the direction of the commotion to find Weiss' fallen. They quickly ran towards Weiss. Asarirn, himself, stood and stroll towards the group.
While the girls were attempting to wake their unconscious teammate, Asarirn approached Weiss where the blade was located. Asarirn pulled the handle from Weiss' grip. As soon as the Mystical Blade of ice left Weiss' hand, Weiss slowly open her eyes. She blinked a couple of times before realizing the girls were over her.
"What happened, Weiss?" Ruby asked with concern in her voice.
"I don't know what happen," Weiss tried to explain. "I was holding the sword and I don't know what I saw, but I don't think it's real."
Everyone was confused about what Weiss was trying to say except for Asarirn. Asarirn knew exactly what had happened to Weiss.
"Just because you saw something you believe you should not," Asarirn explained, "doesn't mean you should dismiss that as a possibility."
Weiss looked over to Asarirn. She noticed Asarirn was currently holding Ice Weaver in his hand. The lightheadedness started when she took possession of the blade. Weiss believed Asarirn might hold the answers.
"That means-" Weiss started to speak.
"I suggest you rest," Asarirn quickly interrupted. "I believe you haven't recovered from the punch from Yang."
Yang could only rub the back of her head as she felt she was partly at fault for Weiss' condition.
"I suggest you should take it easy," Ruby agreed with Asarirn. "You can sit back and watch for the rest of the hour."
"If you say so," Weiss stood up from the ground and began walking over to find a seat.
Asarirn turned his attention towards Ruby. "I shall take my leave," Asarirn told Ruby. "I am going to take a shower before heading back to our rooms."
"All right then," Ruby responded. "Enjoy your shower!"
Asarirn waved goodbye to everyone as he headed towards the exit. As soon as Asarirn left the room, everyone could look at each other in silence for a moment before they resume their training. Weiss remain seated as she could only watch. She pondered on the thought of what just happened. She could have sworn there was somebody there. The way Asarirn spoke made what she saw more believable.
-*RWBY*-
Asarirn left the training room as he entered the hallway. He still had Ice Weaver in his hand as he began to walk. He walked for a few seconds before stopping. Asarirn looked at the blade before sighing.
"What was that all about?" Asarirn questioned the blade. "Is there a reason you wanted her to try using you? Just like the first time she tried? You knew I was going to say no back there before you said something."
There was no response from the blade which caused him to narrow his eyes. Asarirn didn't say a thing as he began walking once more with the blade in hand.
"You can't live forever," A voice appeared in Asarirn's mind. Asarirn stopped before looking down at the blade. He stared at the blade for a bit before nothing happened. Asarirn let go of the handle of the blade before the blade vanished.
"That wasn't ominous or anything," Asarirn said to himself. Asarirn continued to walk down the hallway without any more incident.
A/N: There you go another chapter finished. That only took *check last update* four... four years?! In my personal life, besides working, I have more free time to work on writing and other projects. Enough of my personal life. In this chapter, the whole walking in on girls changing was the reason this took forever, and also rewriting the chapter four times doesn't help either. This whole lewd or whatever you call it felt weird writing since I don't really write that kind of stuff. There was a reason this story was rated M but not the whole reason, to say the least. To get from one plot point to another, this was a better option than the other four revisions that I had. Before you guys say there will be another couple before the next update, jokes on you. I have Chapter 32 already written out, and even almost finishing Chapter 33 by the time of this post. However, I will wait another month for the next chapter, so I don't burn myself out. And if you guys haven't seen it already, but I updated Chapter 1. Technically, I rewrote chapter 1 but the plot is the same but with added details if that makes sense. That is all. Until next time. And my story is not dead!
