Episode 13: Family Matters Part 2

Hey there guys, gals, and non-binary pals! Tardispilot297 here bringing you the season finale of Mega-Man: Robotic Hero. Man what a journey this has been huh? Seems like only yesterday when I first wrote up episode 1.

First off I just want to say thanks for all of the supportful reviews this story has had since day one. It really means a lot to me to see so many people enjoy reading my work. Such is every writer's joy in receiving the amount of appreciation of what they write. And now without further ado the winners of the final "Who's that Mega-Man Villain?" Contest. And the winners are….. Theoldblood98, RedsterTheGamer, and HEROS Central!

Anyway thanks again to everyone who supported this story and hope you all enjoy reading this season finale. And now let's do this!

All actions have consequences. Dr. Wily's ended up causing great pain, Dr. Light's created a giant rift in his family, and mine wound me up arrested and imprisoned. Not gonna lie, things weren't looking so good for me. Especially when I woke up to find myself laying in bed in some kind of holding cell.

As they agreed, the police had turned me over to Light Industries for them to study me. I looked around to see one or two scientists standing on the other side of the glass wall holding clipboards and taking notes. When they saw I was awake and starting to sit up one of them told the other something I couldn't hear and they ran off out of sight. When I turned to put my feet on the floor I could feel my head pounding as if someone had taken a jackhammer to it while I was asleep.

As I placed a hand against my scalp I felt the scratch near my eye where Proto-Man had burned me. Touching it stung a little causing me to wince a bit. When suddenly I heard a voice over an intercom call my name. I looked over to see Dr. Cain was relieved to see I had woken up. "Thank goodness. Are you alright lad?" He asked me with genuine concern in his voice. "Yeah. I think so." I told him. I would've asked him what had happened but the memory of my fight with Proto-Man quickly resurfaced in my mind.

Before either of us could say anything else more people started to enter the room. Many of them were more scientists. However the person that really caught my eye was a tall man with a black beard wearing what appeared to be a military uniform with symbols on his sleeve indicating he was of a high rank. Instead of a normal right arm he had a metal prosthetic limb that reached up to his shoulder. His expression looked neutral but his gaze held nothing but malice. I'm pretty sure if it were up to him I'd have been taken apart and reduced to scrap before I could've woken up.

"And you're sure it can't get out of there?" He asked. "Not to worry General Night. That glass is made out of the highest concentration of lexan on the planet." Dr. Cossack reassured him. I stood up to face everyone looking at me as though I were some kind of zoo animal or museum exhibit.

I glanced over the gathering until I spotted the sneering look of Dr. Wily looking at me. Upon seeing him my anger flared up a little as I tried to punch him. When my fist hit the wall instead of shattering the glass simply shook with a loud thud which caused most of the people to gasp and jump. Despite that I continued to slam my fist against the wall trying to break through. All the while Wily just stood there and continued to sneer at me as if he found amusement in my constant struggle to get to him. It wasn't until I heard a voice called name that my actions stopped. I looked to see Dr. Lalinde and Dad standing alongside Dr. Cain both with worried looks on their faces.

Without thinking I called out to them and walked over to stand in front of them placing both hands against the glass. Dr. Lalinde stepped forward and mimicked my actions, aligning her hands with mine. I looked into her eyes and saw a mixture of happiness and sadness as she looked at me. "Why is he locked up like this?" Dad asked. "For security Doctor. After all, this robot presents a clear and present danger to human lives." General Night answered. Dad turned to him and walked up to stand face to face. "This robot has saved human lives a dozen times over! You have no right to do this!" Dad shouted at him. "Actually I think you'll find we have every right Thomas." Dad looked over at Wily who turned to smile at him. "After all, it did try to kill me." He told him.

Dad went on to argue that I would never do something like that. "Tell that to all the witnesses who saw it burst into the building and cause all of that damage." "Stop calling him that!" Dr. Lalinde shouted after punching him in his face. Dad walked over and placed his hands on her shoulders pulling her back a bit. Wily fell against a nearby console grabbing his jaw as he groaned in pain. He stood back up and looked at her and Dad. "Enough." General Night told everyone. He looked over at Dr. Cossack and asked him how long he would need to study me to get the answers they'd need.

Dr. Cossack was unsure how much time it would take but he estimated that it would most likely take some time. "Of course after we shut it down I'm sure we'll be able to make some excellent progress." "What do you mean shut down?" Dr. Cain asked. "As an added safety measure and phase of study, we'll need to shut the robot down and examine its power source." Wily answered before looking back at Dad. "That is unless of course you or Thomas have any hypotheses regarding that subject?" He asked.

Both Dad and Dr. Cain could only remain silent at the question because they both knew that if they told the truth General Night wouldn't hesitate to approve of me being taken apart immediately and allow Wily to get his hands on the Omega Core. After a few moments of silence General Night openly considered the matter settled. "I want studies on this robot to commence as soon as possible." He ordered. He then left the room followed by Dr. Cossack and several others. And followed closely by a military aide who looked strangely like a teenage girl with long brown hair done up in a ponytail.

After they left Dad turned back to Wily and walked up to him. "Albert, I'm asking you to please don't do this." He pleaded with him. Wily leaned in close to whisper to him. "What's the matter Thomas? Afraid I'll break your little toy?" He asked, practically mocking him. Dad tensed up and balled up his fists. "Face it. You're not hogging all the glory anymore. It's my turn in the spotlight now." Wily said to him. "Is that really what this is about? Trying to prove who's the better scientist?" Dad asked, looking shocked. "I don't have to prove anything. I am a better scientist. And once I get what I need out of your little Pinocchio reject here, the whole world will know it too." He stated to him as he walked out.

Dad stood there in complete disbelief as he turned to face Dr's Cain and Lalinde before turning to look at me. He walked up to the glass trying his best to look me in the eye. I could tell he wanted to say something to me but just couldn't find the right words. So instead I told him that it was ok. That he didn't have to say anything. "I'm just sorry that I couldn't be a better Xavier for you." Upon hearing my apology Dad's eyes welled up with tears threatening to break out. He slowly placed his hand out onto the glass. I looked at it for a bit before smiling and placing my own hand against the glass.

I didn't know it at the time but at that moment Dad regretted saying everything he told me back at the house. His thoughts were on how he was wrong to see me as a mistake or a failure. That he wanted to take back everything and just tell me that he loved me. He thought about wanting to just take me out of there and go back home with me and Auto and Dr. Cain. Even with Dr. Lalinde so we could all be a family again. Suddenly two security guards walked in asking them all to leave the room. With no reason to refuse Dad stepped away from the glass and walked out with Dr's Cain and Lalinde. He stopped in the doorway to look back at me before finally stepping out.

Outside in the hallway the three of them looked solemnly at one another. Each trying to find a small piece of hope in this seemingly hopeless situation. Then Dad's face turned determined as he straightened up and walked off. Dr. Lalinde ran after him and asked what he planned to do. Without missing a step he told her that they'd already lost one child and that he was not about to let them lose another. Dr. Lalinde stopped for a moment watching Dad continue to walk away. Her expression changed from a look of surprise to one of pride. She turned back to Dr. Cain who simply smiled and nodded toward her.

As Dr. Lalinde walked to catch up to Dad, Dr. Cain used a device secretly built into his wheelchair to send out a message to someone. Back with Dad and Dr. Lalinde, they entered the security room where they then accessed the security recordings from earlier that evening. While they did show me storming into the building and causing some damage, they also showed small glimpses of me fighting someone else.

Because of the clouds of smoke and low lighting the recordings didn't show much of my opponent other than flashes of light from their own blaster arm. Dad then rewound the recordings until he found the hallway footage of me flying past the camera and taking shots at the other figure off screen. Based on the direction I was firing and the designation of the camera Dad was able to piece together where it was that that fight had started. Before long they had made their way to the doorway to Wily's lab which had since been cordoned off with police tape.

The police had already checked out the main lab to investigate what happened but Dad suspected that the police might have missed something as he and Dr. Lalinde started to conduct their own search starting with Wily's computer files. As expected many of them were encrypted so they couldn't access them. However one file remained unlocked and allowed them to take a look at it. The file name read 'Project Zero: Mk2' which contained detailed schematics of Wily's Proto-Man. Before Dad could utter a sound of anger a massive shock went through him and knocked him unconscious.

He fell to the floor where a shocked and worried Dr. Lalinde knelt down to make sure he was ok. She then turned her head to see Met and Eddie walking up to them. The latter of which had a taser gun sticking out of his head. He then apologized to Dr. Lalinde before using the taser on her too, rendering her unconscious.

Meanwhile elsewhere Auto and Rush were still at the house waiting for any news on what was happening. All Auto knew for sure was that Dad had been called to come to the company building immediately on an urgent matter. Since then Auto hadn't had any word from either Dad or Dr. Cain. At least until he finally received a written message from Dr. Cain via his internal transmitter. The message said that I was in trouble and that he needed Auto to come to Light Industries with Rush and help rescue me. Upon finishing the message Auto's nerves went from casual worry to extreme worry.

So much so that even the small sound of a knock on the front door caused him to nearly jump and fall apart. Rush on the other hand barked and ran up to the door, managing to open it with his front paw. The door opened to let Douglas, Axel, and Alia enter the house and become surprised to see them met by Rush instead. Each of them called out my name with no reply to either of them. They met up with Auto who seemed to relax a little after confirming that they were my friends. When asked what they were doing here this late Alia explained that earlier she had overheard her dad at home receiving a call concerning a Mega-Man sighting at Light Industries.

And when she called Douglas to ask me if anything was happening only to be unable to reach me they wasted no time calling Axel and each sneaking out to head over to my house to find out what was going on. "On that note where is Rock?" Alia asked Auto. Auto tried to keep himself collected as he told them what had happened when I came home from school. Including the revelation that not only was I a copy of the real Xavier Light, but that Dr. Lalinde was apparently my mom. Naturally this info blew each of their minds including Axel and Douglas who could only utter a combined "Whaaaaaaa?" While Alia did her best to suppress her journalist urge to bombard Auto with a thousand different questions.

It wasn't until Auto got to the part where Dr. Cain sent a message about how I had been arrested by the police and was being held at Light Industries that the three of them managed to finally process the information and what had happened. Without batting an eye Alia turned to Auto and asked what the plan to rescue me was. "Ohhh no. Absolutely not, neither one of you is coming with me." Auto told them finally getting his mind together. "Please Auto, He's our friend. You have to let us help." Douglas tried to reason with him. "Plus even if you don't we're just gonna try to rescue him ourselves anyway man." Axel commented.

Auto was about to argue further until Alia interrupted him by pleading with him one more time to let them help. "We all know he'd do the same for any of us." She pointed out. Faced with that unquestionable truth Auto finally caved and agreed to let them come along to help. "Just remember that this could be very dangerous." Auto added. Axel let out a scoff. "Man danger is my middle name." "I thought it was Shirley?" Douglas asked him, causing a small chuckle from Alia. While Axel gave Douglas an annoyed look, Auto went down to the basement workshop to grab something.

When he came back he was holding something in his arms that looked like a homemade ray gun with copper plating, a small keypad on the side, and two bottles filled with red and blue liquids housed in the back. When Douglas asked him what it was, Auto explained to them how Dad had been experimenting with a new type of handheld travel system in his spare time. How it worked was that you first had to use the keypad to type in a location. Then you turn the dial to charge up the gun, aim it in front of you, and pull the trigger. Auto demonstrated by asking everyone to step aside and aimed the gun toward the hallway. As soon as he pulled the trigger the gun charged up and fired a ball of energy which flew a few feet before exploding in a flash of light.

As the light faded a large circle of energy floated I'm the air. Upon closer examination they could see that the inside of the circle resembled the inside of another room. Alia, Douglas, and Axel stood in awe as Auto walked up to the circle and stepped through it. Rush leaped through after him and turned to bark back to the others. Auto turned around to face them. "Well? Are you all coming or not?" Auto asked them. All three of them looked at each other for a moment until Alia took a deep breath and climbed through with help from Auto. Douglas straightened up and walked through next, staring in complete awe at what he was doing. Axel on the other hand stood nervously pacing back and forth trying to build up courage to go next.

"Axel come on!" Alia called out through the portal. "Ok you got this, you got this, you got this." Axel kept repeating to himself under his breath until finally he backed up a little and immediately ran at full speed jumping through the portal shouting geronimo. He ended up crashing into some boxes which fell all over the place and nearly buried him. "Are you alright friend?" Douglas asked him. Axel pushed a box off and held up his arm giving Douglas a thumbs up. The portal eventually closed behind them leaving them in temporary darkness until Auto switched on his head light.

They all looked around to see that they were in a room with boxes marked with the Light Industries logo. When asked where they were, Auto told them that they were in Dad's old lab back when he worked at the company. After he left he asked that the lab remain untouched until such time as he would someday come back. Auto looked at the portal gun which was slightly smoking a little before he turned another dial to vent it. "The gun needs a few minutes to cool down before it can be used again." Auto said, attaching it to his side.

He then walked over to the door and raised his hand to the keypad on the wall. He put in a code causing the screen to ding and turn green prompting the door to open. To everyone's surprise someone was on the other side looking right at them. They all relaxed a little as Dr. Cain smiled at them. "Good you made it." He said as he turned his chair around. "Now follow me. We need to get Xavier out of here now." He instructed them.

Back inside my holding cell I lay in bed looking up at the ceiling. On the other side of the glass two security guards were standing by the door. As I lay there my thoughts started to wander around in my head. First they went to how stupid I was when I tried to bring Wily in. As usual my anger ended up screwing things up just like how I blew my secret the first time. My thoughts then went over to how I first met Axel and Douglas. I chuckled a little remembering their little screaming contest with Auto.

I also smiled remembering everything we'd been through. How we always had each other's backs, how they'd saved me just as much as I'd saved them. And how it was thanks to them teaching me about highschool that I got to meet someone like Alia. Just thinking about her flooded my head with memories of how she helped us even before discovering my secret. And most importantly the memories of when it was just the two of us. From our talk on the porch to our dance together. Looking back on it now I wished I had told her how I had felt back then before getting into my current situation.

Then my thoughts went to my family. To how Rush would nearly tackle me to the ground every time I got home from school and cover my face with dog slobber. To when I'd help Auto clean up around the house whenever he was feeling a little rundown. Even when me and Dad would… My thoughts stopped on my memories of Dad when he was still my dad. What used to be happy memories now felt more melancholy after he had told me the full truth about my creation. Then my thoughts went back to the one place I never wanted to go.

The fact that I was actually a robot was mentally straining enough, but the idea that I was actually a copy of someone else entirely. Well needless to say it rocked me to my very core. Still as confusing as it all was, a part of me somehow felt at ease about knowing the truth. Like something in my chest was doing its best to try and comfort me through it all. Kinda like how comforting seeing Dr. Cain was after I woke up in my cage. Even despite everything I still felt like he was one of the people I could always count on and trust.

Which made me almost jump for joy when I heard Dr. Cain's voice talking to the security guards. I looked over to see him telling the guards that he was there to begin examining me per General Night's orders. As one of them told him that they had to clear it first, the other guard fell forward onto the ground with a loud groan with Auto apologizing behind him. Before he could say anything the guard was tackled to the wall by Rush's armored head and knocked out cold.

My smile only grew bigger when I saw Alia, Douglas, and Axel show up from behind Auto and ran over to the glass as I stood up. "Hello Rock." Douglas said to me. "Douglas, Alia, Axel. What are you guys doing here?" I asked them. "Rescuing you of course. What'd you think?" Axel answered. Dr. Cain went over to one of the consoles and hit a few buttons. Just like that the glass wall receded into the ceiling allowing my friends to pull me into a group hug. When I asked how they had made it here Douglas explained all about the portal gun they used to get inside the building. Of course that didn't really matter to me at the time. The only thing I cared about was that me and my friends were all together again.

Unfortunately the rest of our reunion would have to wait as Dr. Cain interrupted us by clearing his throat. "I hate to interject but we don't have much time." He informed us. "He's right we still need to get Rock out of here." Alia added. We wasted no time leaving the room and sneaking around the halls trying to avoid the patrolling security guards. Meanwhile Dr. Cossack and a few other scientists had returned to start running tests on me. I can only imagine the looks of surprise they all had when they saw the two security guards lying on the floor and my cell empty. Before long the alarm sounded and we saw little choice but to try to make a run for it.

We turned a corner only to run into a few security guards who shouted at us and started chasing us through the halls. Dr. Cain ushered us into an elevator and told us to head up to the roof. "Hopefully by the time you get there the portal gun will be ready to use again." He said as we stepped in. He remained outside the elevator as the doors were about to close with Auto standing next to him tossing the portal gun to Douglas.

I turned around to look at them confused only to once again see Dr. Cain's comforting smile while he nodded his head at me. That gesture was all I needed to know exactly what his thoughts were. 'I've done all I can. The rest is up to you now.' The last thing we heard as the doors closed was Auto wishing us all good luck. The elevator started to slowly go up as Douglas looked over the portal gun now in his hands. His eyes practically popped out of his head as he examined every angle of the device like a little kid with a brand new toy. Alia on the other hand looked at him nervously. "You sure you know how to use that thing?" She asked him. "Not to worry Alia. After watching Auto I'm confident I can operate it without any problems." He reassured her. To help us all relax he went on to explain all the steps necessary to use the gun. To be honest I think he did it to also help himself relax.

While we were waiting to reach our destination Dr. Cain and Auto were detained by security and brought to General Night and Dr. Wily. "We found these two helping Mega Man and a few others escape." The guard reported. While General Night's expression was mild annoyance, Wily's was one of pure anger. "Care to explain yourself Dr. Cain?" General Night asked him. Dr. Cain just shrugged and smiled. "I'm afraid I'm not quite sure what you mean General?" He asked in return. Wily growled under his breath and walked up to him face to face. "Don't play coy with us, you old fossil. Now where is Light's little robot!?" Wily demanded.

Dr. Cain stared at him unflinchingly, refusing to answer. Wily's face twisted up in anger as General Night's aide took out a small tablet. "Sir, the tracker is online. We have their location." She told him while handing him the tablet. "Well done." He told her. As Wily was about to ask what they were talking about, General Night explained that a tracking device had been installed on me while I was unconscious. "Currently it looks like they're heading for the roof. Dr. Wily, do we have anything we can use to recapture them?" Wily thought for a moment before telling him that they had a couple dozen drones at their disposal. "Of course with your permission I'd like to oversee the retrieval myself." Wily grinned as General Night granted his request and told him to use any means necessary.

Wily turned and walked out of the room with a smile on his face and made his way back to his lab. When he got there he was surprised to find both Dad and Dr. Lalinde tied up and sat upon chairs back to back. "What is this?" He asked. "Sorry Dr. Wily. We caught them accessing your private files." Met told him. Wily looked over at Dad and walked up to him. "You just can't stop sticking your big nose into my business can you?" He asked threateningly. "Only when your business involves endangering innocent lives." Dad accused him.

Dad told him how they'd discovered the file on Project Zero as well as the security footage of my fight with Proto-Man. "I also now see that it was you who sent those rogue robot masters to try to destroy me and my family. What I still don't understand is why?" "Why? Because I was finally fed up with you dragging my genius down while you hogged all the glory for yourself." Wily told him. He walked off towards a table with a white tarp draped over it.

He pulled it off to reveal the damaged remains of Proto-Man laid out on the table. He opened up the chest and took out the undamaged replica core. "Well now I finally have the chance to show the whole world what I can do." He told him as he held the red core up for them to see. Dad looked at it with horror and disbelief. "And this time, No one will stand in my way." Wily turned to Eddie and asked if the prototype was ready. "Ready and waiting sir." Eddie informed him. "Good. Load the replica core into the central CPU." He ordered tossing the core over to Eddie whose head opened up to allow a baseball glove arm to pop up and catch it. "And make ready the hovercraft! I'm going out to settle this myself." Wily ordered.

Met jumped up and pushed a few buttons on the console. Suddenly two things happened at once. On one side of the lab the wall opened up to reveal a large round metal orb sitting on a large table. And on the other side a part of the floor opened to reveal a large UFO-like craft colored blue on the top and gold on the bottom rising up on a platform. Eddie ran over to the table and reached his glove arm up to an opening in the orb where he installed the core. The core started to glow brighter as the orb started to power up and slowly float up into the air.

Dad looked back at Wily as he walked up to the craft which opened up at the top allowing him to climb in. "Albert, please. It's not too late to stop this madness." Dad tried appealing to Wily's sense of humanity. Wily just looked at him with an evil smile. "I'd enjoy the time you have left if I were you Light. Because as soon as I'm through with your boy, I'll take great pride in finishing the job that Fireman failed to accomplish for me." He told him. He sat down inside the craft and the top started to close up. The ceiling opened up to allow the craft to fly out. Back with the orb parts of it opened up to allow a dark yellow substance to flow out and surround itself. As the mass grew larger it cast a huge shadow over Dad and Dr. Lalinde as they looked up in shock.

Meanwhile we'd exited out of the elevator and ran out onto the roof. Douglas stopped and started checking the portal gun to see if it was ready. While he was tinkering with it Rush ran up and bit down on his shirt pulling him back. Before Douglas could yell at him the sound of a laser hitting metal rang out in front of him where he was standing. We looked up to see a drone flying just above us with a small propeller on its top. It was colored all orange with white all along the bottom and a big pair of eyes with a weapon sticking out from underneath it. Before long dozens of drones just like it appeared and began surrounding us like a pack of vultures eyeing their prey.

Me and Rush stood in ready to protect Alia and the guys when something else started to come into view. What looked like a large flying saucer began to rise up through the swarm of drones. The top opened up to reveal a sneering Wily sitting in a cockpit. "Hello again Rock. Enjoying the view?" As he continued smiling I took a few steps forward and looked up at him. "What's the matter Wily? You get tired of watching me beat you from behind a screen?" I called out, causing his brow to twitch slightly. "Or is this just you seeing us off on the way to the moon?" I added successfully wiping the smile off his face. "Yeah, what exactly are you riding in?" Douglas asked him.

Wily looked over his craft before looking back at us. "It's a hovercraft, designed to modulate air pressure and reduce drag!" He told us through clenched teeth. "Yeah, and yet you still are one." I commented earning a laugh and a fist bump from Axel. Wily responded with a small chuckle of his own. "Oh-hoo! Good one. You are catching fire, my boy." He commented as he looked over at Alia. "Oh, and speaking of heat, I see you've gotten yourself a little girlfriend. Does she have a name, or should we just call her "collateral damage"?" He Chuckled as he drummed the sides of the craft with glee. "Hey, watch your mouth! Unless you want me to add on what Dr. Lalinde gave you earlier." I warned him.

I turned around to tell them about how she had punched him in the face back outside of my cell. Axel of course thought it was hilarious and laughed. "Dude, that is awesome!" He told me. "I know right?" I said exchanging high fives from him and Douglas.

Dr. Wily on the other hand was starting to get annoyed and shouted over to us. "The time for talking is over! It's time to push buttons." He said as he started to push a few buttons in his craft. I turned and looked back up at him. "Your flying saucer is pretty impressive Wily, but let's face it, you'll never beat me!" I told him. "Confidence! A fool's substitute for intelligence." Wily commented as he opened a button capsule as a screen showing the energy reading from the replica core began to build up and the flying drones readied their weapons.

We all looked around as the drones began to zero in on us. "That's definitely not good." Douglas commented. "Rock, I know you and Rush got the power armor and everything, but the rest of us–" Alia pointed out. "Totally defenseless? Probably gonna get blown up?" I finished for her. "Pretty much, yeah." Axel added. I glanced around evaluating the current situation and suddenly an idea popped into my head. I looked over and smiled at them. "Don't worry guys. I got this." I assured them as energy started to build up in my chest. As soon as the flying drones began firing their weapons at us, electricity started to charge up around me as I closed my eyes.

Suddenly time seemed to almost slow down and everything around me became nearly frozen in place. My own awareness however increased as I stood there looking around still surging with electricity. What had happened was using Elec-Man's ability I had managed to increase my speed and agility to almost impossible levels. And I gotta say, I was enjoying every second of it. I stood there a bit tapping my foot and looking at my wrist with an amused look on my face. I then reached out and pushed a number of bullets away from Alia and the guys. I jumped up in the air and started playing around with some of the missiles and bullets from the drones weapons and was able to destroy most of them.

As this was all happening Wily managed to push the button and the core energy fully charged as the screen read out 'ACQUIRING TARGET'. I dropped down and turned two drones toward each other while backing up and making a few shooting hands gestures at them. Unfortunately my fun time came to an end as I noticed the roof underneath me slowly crack apart. Within what felt like the span of a few seconds time caught back up with me as the rooftop exploded sending me and the others flying off of the building. As I was falling my senses managed to reset in time to see Alia and the guys screaming underneath me. I quickly looked around to find a way to save them when I spotted the portal gun falling alongside me.

I desperately tried to reach for the gun but it seemed just about out of reach. I even air-swimmed to try and reach it. "Come on, come on, come on!" I shouted over the loud roaring of the wind. The ground was getting closer and closer as my fingers were just barely grazing the handle of the gun. Finally at the last moment I grabbed the gun, quickly typed in the coordinates for my house into the keypad, aimed and fired the gun downward creating a portal for the others to fall through safely onto the front lawn of my house. As I shouted "YES" and fist pumped the air my expression changed to panic as the portal quickly closed to show I was heading straight for a few trees below. I ended up hitting several tree branches and landed directly on the street. Rubble and broken drones rained down around me as I groaned in pain.

I turned over and looked up at the sky trying hard not to think about the pain until I noticed something large falling right towards me. My eyes widened and quickly got up and jumped out of the way just as the object slammed down onto the street with a loud splat. I stood up and turned around to see a large mass of yellow goo rise up and take the shape of a large round giant with arms and legs. What made it more disturbing was a part of its front open up into the shape of a big red glowing eye staring right at me. Something about it sent chills down my spine. And when I recognized the red core in its pupil my nervousness turned to fear. It felt like my fight with Proto-Man, only ten times more terrifying.

As this big yellow giant towered over me Wily's craft flew in stopping to hover right next to what I assumed was its head. Wily looked down at me with a smug look on his face. "Can I give you one genius piece of advice? Don't run. It'll only hurt more if you do." He said. For a bit my body was screaming at me to take off and run. However I closed my eyes and slowly took a deep breath and relaxed a little as I planted my feet and stood my ground. I snapped open my eyes and clenched my fists. "All right, Wily. You wanna rumble? Let's rumble!" I declared getting into a fighting stance.

Wily looked down and smirked. "The hard way it is." He said under his breath as he hit a button.

The giant then raised his fist which turned into a hammer shape and swung it down at me. I jumped up in the air to dodge and aimed my cannon arm and fired at it. A few shots impacted against its body but it seemed completely unfazed and just raised its other hand and backhanded me through the air. I flew through the air and crashed onto the roof of a parked car. The giant started stomping heavily toward me as I pulled myself off of the car and aimed my arm cannon as it raised its foot ready to stomp on me. Which brings us right back to where we started. Pretty much catches you guys up huh? Man, We've sure been through alot together. Now you understand why a giant yellow cyclops being controlled by a psychotic doctor is trying to destroy a blue robot with a cannon for an arm. Want to know how it ends? Yeah, me too.

I aim for the eye hoping to at least hit him before he crushes me. I manage to fire off a shot just as the foot above me comes down. With a loud blast his eye gets a direct hit which causes the giant to groan in what I assume is pain as he covers his eye with one of his hands. Still that doesn't stop his foot from coming down right over me. I brace myself for what seems like my inevitable demise when I feel something yank me right off my feet and into the air pulling me out of danger. I look up to see Rush holding onto my collar with his mouth as he flies me out of there. He turns his head and flings me onto his back allowing me to reach down and pet his head. "Good boy Rush! You are definitely getting a treat when we get home." I shouted at him.

Rush barks in approval and we fly around the giant circling him from above. His hand lowers showing very little damage to his eye as he looks up and tries swatting at us like King Kong. On the plus side he's way too slow to get a good hit on us, on the downside though he does manage to smash a few buildings causing some serious damage. I look down to see dozens of people screaming and running for their lives trying to escape the danger. There was no way I could fight him here without someone else getting hurt. As if reading my thoughts I hear a ding come from the portal gun still attached to my side. "Hey Rush? What do you say we take Donkey Kong here for a walk?" I ask as I type in new coordinates into the gun.

Meanwhile on the other side of the planet things are pretty peaceful in the city of Paris. People are going about their lives walking through the square, the birds are chirping as they fly through the seemingly cloudless sky with the Eiffel Tower in view, the sounds of an accordion can be heard over the breeze as a mime entertains a mother and her daughter as she enjoys her ice cream cone. Of course what really makes her eyes pop is the mime seemingly creating a large ring of light behind him as he traces in fingers along the sides with a smile. His smile fades however as the sounds of things getting smashed behind him get him to turn around to see through the portal with me and Rush flying right at him.

I yell out the word 'INCOMING!' to him to which he narrowly gets out of the way allowing us to fly through without hitting anybody. Unfortunately he doesn't get to relax as suddenly a large wave of yellow goo then starts to pass through as well seemingly without end. Until finally the goo piles up and takes the shape of a giant man with one big eye which turns and stares down at him. After a few seconds the mime immediately starts screaming in a high pitched voice before running away. The yellow giant's gaze follows him like a little kid watching a bug crawl away. Before the portal closes Wily's craft manages to fly through and gets the giant's attention. "Don't just stand there you oversized buffoon! Get him!" Wily shouted pointing over at me and Rush.

The giant looks over at me and starts stomping his feet chasing after me. Everyone immediately clears out and gives us plenty of room to fight safely. Admittedly not how I was expecting my first visit to Paris to turn out but hey beggars can't be choosers. With more room to work with me and Rush drop out of the sky and carpet bomb him with a string of shots all hitting around the area of his eye. He raises his arms in an attempt to shield his apparent weakness and tries to take a swing at us as we fly past. We narrowly avoid getting hit just as I toss a small bomb directly at his eye point blank. We fly out just as the bomb explodes in his face knocking him back a bit and end up falling on his back with a thud.

We hover in the air looking down at the seemingly defeated giant as roars of applause sounded behind us. We turned around to face the crowd and I started bowing and thanking them. "Thank you, thank you. Anytime you need me everybody." Their shouts of celebration however soon turned back to terror and they started running away again. I look at them confused until I finally realize what they're running from. "Oh there's something behind me isn't there?" I ask and turn around just in time to avoid the giant's huge fist crashing down on us. I fly up higher and look down with disbelief that this guy was still standing after receiving a literal bomb to the face.

It only gets worse when his hand starts to reshape itself into what looks like a very big cannon and starts shooting balls of goo at us. We quickly try to dodge most of it but a few globs manage to stick to us which feels really gross. And as if that's not enough the globs start moving and turn into mini versions of the giant and start hitting me with their tiny fists. I shake my arms erratically trying to get them off with very little success as they just keep hitting and hitting me in the face. To make matters worse one of them reaches over and places their hands over Rush's eyes blinding him. We start flying wildly through the air making it hard for me to stay on and nearly throwing me overboard.

Luckily I grab onto Rush and hold on as I finally manage to pull the little yellow gremlins off me. We ski across a long pond which really helps get our little stowaways off of us and I pull myself back on board to reach over and pull the last one off of Rush's head. I lift him up while keeping him away from my face and look at him with a smile. "I believe this is your stop!" I yell as I toss him far into the air. I swear I could almost hear the sound of it screaming as it hit the water below. I reach down to check on Rush to make sure he's OK. "Least you won't be needing a bath after a while huh boy?" I say patting him on his side. Rush barks up at me and we fly higher up.

We look down below us to see all the mini giants come crawling out of the water and running back to the main one as he continues to stomp after us. They all leap up onto the surface of his body and sink in like pebbles in the mud. Frankly it was pretty obvious that he wasn't gonna run out of ammo anytime soon. And since fighting him head on and at a distance was out I figured it was time for a new plan along with a change of scenery. I grab the portal gun and start to type in our next destination.

Elsewhere along the great wall of China me and Rush flew through the portal with Wily and his big yellow devil still on our tails. "Ok Rush. You have room to open it up now. Let's lose these guys." Rush barks and immediately his jets fire full blast as we speed right up the path like a rocket. I start yelling and laughing in excitement as we continue to go faster and faster. I look back hoping to see the shrinking shapes of our pursuers. What I see instead is not only are they catching up with us but now the giant has turned into a large spiked ball with the intent to crush us like roadkill. Suddenly I now feel what it's like to be one of the ghosts from Pac-Man. And trust me, it's not as fun on the other side of the screen.

Before he gets any closer I quickly grab the portal gun and start typing in a new destination and fire ahead of us. We fly through the portal and end up in a very large desert with the Sphinx and the pyramids in view on the horizon. As soon as the giant death ball hits the sand it starts inadvertently burying itself halfway before stopping and reverting back to his normal form. He looks down as he is now waist deep in sand much to Wily's annoyance. "Stop fooling around, you oversized gum wad! Get back up!" He yells only for the giant to look up at him as if saying he was stuck and unable to get out. The giant's little predicament ends up giving me another idea. "If you can't beat em, bury em!" I have Rush start flying around the giant building up a tornado of sand around him and Wily.

While doing so I switched up my shots to start spewing fire out of my cannon behind us as we flew faster and faster. Wily's craft barely managed to fly out safely as the giant began groaning and waving his arms blindingly like an oversized baby as the flames grew brighter and brighter. After a dozen more spins we flew off and stopped to hover in the air as I cut off the flamethrower. We look down to see the light dim and the flames die down to see in place of the tornado a large glass cylinder encasing the now frozen giant in place. "How's that for fine art eh Rush?" I joke as we flew off making one more portal bound for Silicon City. Our little victory was short lived however when the giant's red eye started to glow brighter and I began hearing a loud cracking sound.

And just like that the glass cylinder shatters as a large red beam flies out of the giant's eye and heads right for us just as we're going through the portal.

Back in Silicon City downtown people were finally starting to feel at ease believing the danger had passed. That is until a portal opened up in the middle of the street and spat out a blue robot, his metal dog, and a very big explosion. Me and Rush both hurtle onto the street hard with both of our bodies showing signs of massive damage with the portal gun now seemingly busted and landing on the sidewalk. As we lay there motionless on the ground Wily's craft and the giant menacingly appear through the portal as it closes.

Everyone screams in horror as the giant stomps through the street stepping on cars like fallen leaves. Not far off Alia and the guys show up on their bikes and see what's happening. Alia and Axel are focused on Me and Rush while Douglas spots the portal gun on the ground. He points it out to them and they all quickly sneak over to it. Douglas picks it up and looks it over to see if it still works. Wily's craft opens up allowing him to look down on me and Rush. "My aren't you just astonishing little machines. It'll be so satisfying to take you back to the lab and start taking you both apart. Piece by piece." He said as the giant stopped walking and loomed over us with his big red eye. "Any last words?" Wily asked me.

I had just enough strength left to barely lift up my head. "Poof. I always liked that word." I whisper and finally fall back down unconscious. Wily sat in his craft looking triumphant as the giant reached down and picked me up off the ground. Both fail to notice the small portal appearing right behind Wily. "I don't have to tell you how many scientific breakthroughs have been made possible by automated robotic testing. Frankly you're being just a little bit selfish." Wily gloated at me. Suddenly Axel drops down onto the craft as Wily finally notices him. "Going my way?" Axel asks him.

As Wily tries to say 'What the–' Axel punches him in the face, allowing Douglas to jump through the portal next and take control of the craft and flying it into the giant's hand causing him to drop me back onto the ground.

Wily and Axel start fighting inside the craft Wily grabs Axel by his shirt. "Who do you think you are?!" Wily asks him, pulling him up to his face. Axel breaks free and punches Wily again and grabs him. "We're the Triangle of Justice, you son of a–" Axel gets elbowed by Wily and he is thrown off the craft while jerking the steering yokes away from Douglas and picking him up to throw him off the craft. Douglas lands on the ground with Alia and Axel catching him. Dr. Wily shouts the command 'Autopilot, adjust!' and his craft centers itself back in midair. Wily straightens up his coat and tie and Alia, Axel, and Douglas rushes onto the street to stand between the giant and me.

Wily looks down at them in astonishment "Why? Why would you throw your lives away for this...thing?" He asks as he gestures to me on the ground. "That's why I don't have children. Next thing you know, you're having to scold them, they start acting out... Like their opinions have anything worth even considering for a brief moment!" Wily shouted at them. He took a deep breath and let out a sigh calming down a little. "Anyway, where were we? Oh, yes-you were all about to die." Wily goes to push a button in his craft marked with a large white skull when suddenly, a bullet ricochets off the craft. Alia and the guys turn around to see that it was Alia's dad Detective Stones who fired his gun.

Along with him stood Detective Krantz and the rest of the police who all had their guns aimed directly at Wily's craft. "Dr. Albert Wily, get out of the UFO with your hands up! You're under arrest!" Stones shouted. Alia and the guys' smiles grew wider while Wily's expression turned sour. "On what charge, Officer?" He shouted in disbelief. "Several counts of destruction for a start. Not to mention the attempted murder of one Dr. Thomas Light." Wily's face twisted at the charges. "Although for me, the top of the list is threatening my daughter!" Stones adds with glare of anger at Wily. Wily tried to think fast to turn things around for him. "Alright officer, I can admit to the unfortunate destruction and unintentionally threatening these young youths, but attempting to murder my old friend and colleague? That I'm afraid I must protest." Wily said with a friendly smile.

A smile that soon faded when he saw Dad and Dr. Lalinde walking up next to Stones. "You sure about that Albert?" Dad said as he took out a small device that plays a vocal recording when he pushes the button. 'I'd enjoy the time you have left if I were you Light. Because as soon as I'm through with your boy, I'll take great pride in finishing the job that Fireman failed to accomplish for me.' Wily's face went pale as Dad continued to repeat the recording over and over for everyone to hear. See what Wily failed to realize was that Dad always carries a voice recorder to help him take notes while working on his projects. And while Met and Eddie were tying him up he remained conscious just enough to switch the recorder in his coat pocket on.

And by his own hubris Wily had just exposed himself for the lying villain that he is. Dad handed Detective Stones the recorder who took it from him. "I assume that's a good enough confession for you Detective?" Dad asked. "Works for me Doc." Stones answered. Dad walked over to stand in front of Alia and the guys. "It's over Albert! It's all over!" He shouted. Wily seething with anger finally loses the last bit of sanity he had left and slams his fist down onto another button. And finally the giant's eye starts to glow again as a massive beam fires out and blows up a police car. Everyone looks at Wily with shock as he starts laughing like a maniac. "Over!? HA! YOU SIMPLE MINDED FOOL, IT HASN'T EVEN BEGUN!" Wily shouts as he continues to laugh while the giant fires another beam from his eye.

Another police car blows up as Stones, Krantz, and the police start firing at the giant only for their guns to have no effect on him. Finally Stones quickly ordered everyone to fall back and to evacuate all the nearby civilians to safety. Everyone started running for their lives while Dad was thrown to the ground by another explosion. Alia and Axel went to help him up when the giant looked down to loom right over them. "And now, my dear friend. It's time to end this!" Wily shouted before demanding Dad hand over my core. All the while Douglas looked over at me still laying face down on the ground and began fearing the worst. "Friends?" He said getting their attention. They all look to see me laying on the ground motionless.

Axel stared in disbelief while Douglas shook his head. Alia fought back tears that were forming in her eyes. Dad fell to his knees grasping at his chest. And suddenly the image of seeing his son lying on the ground that day coincided with what he was seeing right in front of him. "I don't mean to be indelicate here, but someone should get some ice, keep the body fresh." Wily said mockingly. Dad lowers his head and closes his hand into a fist. "He's just a silly little robot. He didn't belong here!" Wily shouts out loud. Dad looks over at Wily and stands up.

"That little robot... knew more about being human... than you or I ever will. His friends called him Rock. This was his home... and he was my son."

Upon hearing Dad's speech, I immediately open my eyes and see the words 'SEVERE DAMAGE DETECTED' and 'SYSTEM REPAIR AND UPGRADE COMMENCING'. Suddenly my body begins to glow brightly as I stand up. My armor not only starts getting fixed, but also changes in looks. Instead of just blue, my armor now had mixtures of hue and black. My upper torso is covered by a segmented chest plate with shoulder pads. My joints, such as my knees and wrists, have small black tabs on them. My helmet has cyan ridges atop it and above the visor, and a red lens sits on my forehead. The "ears" of my helmet and barrel of my buster cannon are black around the edges with red lenses within. I stood tall with my body now supercharged with energy, leaving Dr. Wily bewildered, and Dad and my friends smiling.

I look over at them with a smile. "I'll take it from here everyone." I tell them. "He's all yours!" Axel replies as Dad leads them out of the way. I turn to look back at Wily who still sits in his chair speechless. "I think you have something that belongs to me!" I tell him as I clench a fist. My chest opens up to show the Omega Core which starts to siphon the energy from the giant's core in his eye until it is no longer glowing and the energy has now been transferred back to my Core. Without power the giant melts into a huge puddle of goo leaving only a cold metal orb behind.

Wily looks at his now lifeless creation in shock before turning back to me as my Core shines brighter than ever. "This is my power, and I'm not using it to run and hide anymore. I'm using it to protect… my… friends!" I declare as my chest closes back up but still shines bright. Dr. Wily's expression returns to one of determination as he pushes a button on his console which causes the bottom of his craft to open up and release a robotic claw that snatches the orb and pulls it into the craft. With the seemingly last ounce of power in the core Wily readies the hovercraft's concealed weapons, the laser markers pointing right at me, who gets into a start position on the road.

Wily smirks as his screen reads 'TARGET LOCKED' and fires the weapons as I leap into action, dodging the projectiles and start to bombard the vehicle with a mixture of fireballs, scissor blades, ice blocks, electro blasts, mini bombs and heavy punches. Each attack increases in speed until the hovercraft is now disabled, which infuriates Wily. He glares at me through gritted teeth. "Now, you've done it!" He shouts. I slide back and give him a glare of my own "Guess what, Wily? I'm not going anywhere. YOU are!" I tell him. "Triangle of Justice?" I call out. Douglas nods and takes the portal gun as he starts typing in a destination.

He then passes it to Alia who throws it to Axel as he gets in position behind Wily and fires the gun, opening a portal to an unknown location. Then, in an act of desperation and hatred Wily charges his craft at me. But before he gets close enough to hit me I charge up my buster to fire off a big massive shot and land a powerful blow to the hovercraft, reducing it to useless junk, sending it and a screaming Dr. Wily through the portal as it closes. The electricity emanating from me fades away with the crowd cheering for my victory as Dad and all my friends reunite with me.

By comparison I now stood a little bit the same height as Alia and Axel as everyone ran up to hug me. Douglas feels bad about being the shortest in the group now but that soon fades when he starts getting a closer look at my new armor. "You just continue to astonish me friend!" He declared as he examined my new buster. "Seriously dude, you the bot!" Axel said as we exchanged high fives. I turned to Alia who was a bit taken aback by the fact that our eyes were the same level now. Upon realizing that too I started to blush a little along with her as I awkwardly offered my hand. Instead of shaking it she just wrapped her arms around my neck and brought me in close for a nice, big, affectionate…..friendship type hug.

I know. Deep down I thought she was gonna kiss me too. To be fair it's not like we're dating or anything. At least not yet. "I knew you could do it." She told me. "We could do it." I replied. We smile at each other as we part. Dad walked up to me and placed his hands on my shoulders. "You did well Rock." I smiled at him. "I learned from the best." Dad's smile contains nothing but pride. "Of course this means no more sneaking around behind my back." He says to me. "You know I can't promise that." I joke with him. We both chuckle until Axel clears his throat to get our attention. "I hate to interrupt but we should probably get out of here now before the cops try to arrest Rock again." He said. "Agreed. Let's go home." Dad said as we all walked off.

The next day the news was all over the place thanks to my little globe trotting adventure yesterday. From my grand entrance in Paris, to my race on the great wall. Not to mention the fact that thanks to the evidence Dad and Dr. Lalinde were able to gather at Wily's lab Mega-Man's name was now completely cleared with the police no longer on my case anymore. And while things were mostly back to normal again there were a few changes here and there. For example Dr. Lalinde drops by more often now to spend time with us and to allow me and her to get to know each other more. Nothings been confirmed yet but I'm hoping she and Dad eventually get back together again.

As for Rush, well it took some time but we managed to fix him up all good as new. Me and my friends still hangout all the time. Alia even got credit for putting yesterday's events in the school news. She's basically the head editor now. Douglas got taken on as Dad's part time assistant/apprentice in his basement workshop. I swear I've never seen him happier in his whole life. Axel really got into the idea of being full time super heroes. He's even come up with hero names for him, Alia, and Douglas. Of course Alia ended up slugging him after he tried to convince her that the name "Mega-Woman" sounded cool. Of course me and Dad's relationship is still a little tense. Not sure if it'll ever be like it was before, but that doesn't mean we don't care about each other. I just hope that someday I can truly see myself as his real son.

Other than that there was still one new little hurdle in my life now. And it showed up knocking on the front door while we were having breakfast. Auto went to answer the door and called for Dad telling him it was for him. Dad got up from the table and walked over to the front door where a man dressed in a suit was standing outside the doorway. "Dr. Thomas Light?" He asked. "Yes?" The man flashed him a federal agent's badge.

"Just dropping by to say thank you on behalf of the United States government for your assistance in exposing Dr. Wily and for you and your colleagues for keeping quiet about recent incidents which never occurred." He explains. "Well I and my fellow colleagues were happy to be of help." Dad assured him. "We'd also like to thank you for ensuring the safe return of sensitive equipment to our department." Dad seemed a little confused at the agent's claim.

That is until the agent took out a plastic bag containing a small circular device and held it up for him to see. After we got home yesterday Dr. Cain had called Dad to tell him about the tracking device General Night had installed on me. Fortunately it wasn't very hard to find and take out before any uninvited guests came calling on our doorstep. "Though in hindsight, a simple phone call would have saved you a lot of money on postage and delivery fees." He joked. "Yes well I just thought since it was just left idly on the ground outside the company building by one of the janitors that you'd want it back as soon as possible." Dad told him. The agent seemed to smile at Dad's words as if understanding an inside joke. "Well we appreciate it either way." The agent put the bag back in his pocket. " Just out of curiosity you haven't, by any chance, been in contact with a certain robotic hero since the incident, have you? We'd love to have a chat with him. Very casual of course." He asked.

Dad thinks about it for a moment but shakes his head. Oh, you mean the one who saved my life? No. Sorry but I haven't." He replies to him. The agent looks at him for a moment as if not buying Dad's answer but doesn't pressure him further. "Very well. Thank you for your time doctor." The agent says before walking away. Dad nods but then calls out to him. "Excuse me but I'm not sure I got your name. Agent–?" The man just turns around and gives him an honest smile. "Just call me Signas." He tells him and walks away back to his parked black car. Dad goes back inside and closes the door. Since removing the tracker I now had to keep a much lower profile if I wanted to remain off General Night's radar. Dad walks back to the table and sits back down. "So who was it?" I ask him. "Oh no one in particular Rock." Dad tells me. I want to ask further but Auto points me out to the time on the clock.

I had 20 minutes left before school started back up after Gideon trashed it the other day. "Ohhh man. I gotta go!" I shout as I scarf down the rest of my breakfast and make a run for the door. I'm halfway down the hall when Auto calls after me holding up my backpack in his hand. "You wouldn't want to leave without this now young master." "Right. Thanks Auto." I grab my bag and start running for the door again. "See you guys after school." "Goodbye Rock. Have a good day." Dad shouts as Rush barks goodbye as well.

Outside I meet up with Axel, Douglas, and Alia waiting for me on their bikes. "Dude took you long enough." Axel complains as I grab my bike. "Sorry. Got a little held up at breakfast." I explain as we start riding down the street together. "Well let's get a move on Friends! After all, today's the big math test in Ms. Hertz' class." Douglas announced excitedly. "Wait, we're doing another one? I thought I already took a test the other day?" Axel asked in surprise. "You did however, thanks to Gideon all the school's computer files got corrupted and deleted. Including your test scores. So now we all have to retake the tests." Alia explains. "Aw come on! Seriously!?" Axel complained. "What's the big deal Axel if you aced it once I'm sure you can do it again." I point out to him. "Yeah but that was back when I was a super genius or whatever. I can't pull that off now that I'm back to being dumb ol me!" Axel groans, placing his hand over his helmet.

The three of us try cheering him up by telling him that in a way he was still a genius. "Besides, we prefer you just the way you are." I tell him. Axel seems to perk up a bit and thanks us for saying all that. "In that case, do any of you mind if I cheat off one of your guys' tests?" Axel asks us, causing us to all laugh like it was a joke. "Hey come on guys I'm serious. Please, you guys? GUYS!?" Axel shouts as we continue to ride our bikes to school. Well guys that's my story. Just a simple ordinary kid, living a simple ordinary life surrounded by friends and family alike. Sure there were a few bumps along the road but hey, what's life without its challenges eh? And while I'm not quite sure what the future holds, I know that whatever comes my way, with help from my friends, I'll be able to handle it no problem. Besides, how bad could possibly get from here?

*Meanwhile on the planet Nessus*

Doctor's log: Day 87: My grasp on sanity remains... absolute. Despite the fact that I have been currently marooned on this uninhabited centaur of a planet I, Dr. Albert Wily, the greatest and most brilliant scientist on earth, have not yet lost my unyielding will to persevere. "Isn't that right, Met & Eddie?" I ask two stone carvings of what is supposed to be my two most loyal robotic assistants.

I go to pick up Met who despite being of small size weighs about the same as a 40 lb. cinder block. "Now Met, Why don't you get a head start?" I ask him as I toss him a few feet ahead. "Do some Rock-Connaissance!" I belly laugh at my clever sense of wordplay.

I notice however that Eddie lacks the minimum level of intelligence to understand the humor. "ROCK-CONNAISSANCE! Come on, that's hilarious!" I yell at him while smacking the back of his bulbous head. "What's the matter with you?!" I ask him while he just lays about on the ground like the useless idiot that he is. However I digress. So basically here's the "sitch": Uninhabited planet, no resources, no supplies, no apparent way home… and a severe lack of proper grooming equipment of any kind. Then again, I have heard that the ladies just swoon over a man with a great, big, impressive…. Mustache!

Needless to say in a situation such as this lesser man would die here. I, on the other hand, utilize my superior brilliance, technical know- how, and the small replica core that still has a little juice in it. I calculate that I'll be home just in time for Christmas. With that goal in mind I put the core away, place Eddie into my pack, slew it over my shoulder, and begin my trek into the vast and alien jungle that lies before me. After a few steps I see Met laying down on the job, again, I then proceed to reach down, pick him back up, and throw him again! "ROCK-CONNAISSANCE!" I shout once again continuing to display my talents as a wordsmith.

Only to have Eddie once again show ignorance in the face my brilliance. "Come on! Cheer up!" I yell at him cackling out into the surrounding jungle. Just you wait, Mega-Man! You and that fool Light won't be rid of me quite so easily! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! I now declare the first season of Mega-Man: Robotic Hero to be officially OVER!

Man what a way to end this story huh? Did you all enjoy that final boss fight? And would you be interested to see where I take this series next? Even if some of you don't well too bad Imma do it anyway!

That said I would like to once again thank everyone for their kind support and positive encouragement to keep this story going. I mean really words cannot express how grateful I am to have readers like you. I would also like to thank all those who participated in my monthly "Who's that Mega-Man Villain?" Contest. Even if you didn't always get the answer right you're all still winners in my book.

That said, here are the replies to reviews for this story.

Theoldblood98: Thank you very much! In fact give yourself some congrats claps!

RedsterTheGamer: No but that probably would've helped. Lol.

HEROS Central: You are more than welcome!

Emerald the Lynx: For the record I didn't rip anything off! I just took inspiration from the idea and added bits of my own. There's a difference. That said, I appreciate your understanding and hope you've enjoyed reading this story.

Cypony Warrior: I'm glad you enjoyed my interpretation of it and I thank you for your patience while I attempted to incorporate it into my story. Also I thank you for your praise on my take on Dr. Wily's evil personality. I've always been good at understanding the mind of the antagonist.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. And allow me to give just a little hint at what's in store for Rock's next big adventure!

*Preview*

[The camera zooms out of the view of Silicon City before showing something coming down from the sky in a fiery blaze. Suddenly a large object crashes into the ground creating a massive crater in its wake. As the smoke clears a door on the object opens and a light shines out with the silhouette of a figure jumps out, which is revealed to be a young girl with blonde hair and green eyes, wearing a red hat, shirt, shorts, and a pair of red boots. She is reading the energy levels from Rock's core from a small handheld device.]

Roll: If these readings are accurate, he's here. I found him! I just hope I'm not too late.

[The girl takes out a small capsule from her pocket and pushes down on the top of it making a loud click before throwing it. The capsule hits the ground and explodes into a puff of colored smoke which clears to reveal a small yellow hover scooter with a red stripe and a blue R painted on the front. The girl gets on the scooter and begins revving it up by twisting the grips on the two handlebars. She then flies a few feet off the ground before zooming off at high speeds towards the city ahead.]

Expect season 2 to premiere hopefully very soon. Until then this is Tardispilot297 saying… Allonsy!
