Based on MasakoX's What If series "What if Gine went with Goku to Earth?", but a retcon with some changes of my own on how I think the story would have went down had Goku's mother escaped planet Vegeta with him.

CHAPTER 45 - RAMPAGE

"NOW YOU WILL ALL PAY!" The Great Ape form of Vegeta boomed.

Gine looked up at him in despair. How could they hope to beat him now?!

Vegeta locked his gaze on her, raised a giant gloved fist and brought it down on where she stood.

"LOOK OUT!" Without thinking, the gang jumped out of the way before Vegeta's fist could crush them. The spot where they stood moments earlier obliterated in a cloud of dust and flying rocks.

Gine and Raditz jumped together in one direction while everyone else, Krillin and Chi-Chi, then Kami and Yamcha, jumped in other directions.

Vegeta saw this and went after the lone escapees, unfortunately meaning Yamcha was nearest. The gang could only watch in horror as Vegeta caught up and kicked him away like Yamcha was a volleyball. The desert bandit flew away limp, slamming into a rock and falling to the ground. He was still alive, but unconscious.

"YAMCHA!" Gine yelled, she and Kami flying to his aid despite Raditz calling out for her to forget him.

"Oh no you don't!" Oozaru Vegeta taunted, for he swung around to swat them too.

"Kami, watch out!" Gine warned. The Namekian twisted and twirled around Vegeta's massive hands but was caught by his tail that smacked him square in the torso. Kami flew into a rockface, smashing through it and skidding across the ground behind it. He coughed up purple blood from the blow.

His eyes bulged as he sensed Vegeta's giant foot about to come down on him and rolled away at the last second before he was squashed like a bug. The ground exploded from Vegeta's giant footfall and debris rained down all over Kami.

Gine had to think fast to save her friend, so using what energy she had left, she fired a ki blast at Vegeta's side. It didn't do anything to faze the prince, but it was enough to turn his attention to her and his red eyes blazed with rage.

"YOU!" He seethed, then stomped after her. Gine sprinted back the direction she came, away from Kami.

Kami meanwhile saw that Gine had drawn away the transformed Saiyan and took the opportunity to reach the unconscious form of Yamcha nearby. Sprinting as fast as he could, Kami scooped him up into his green arms and hopped away on the boulders.

Oozaru Vegeta chased after Gine as she lowered her energy and hid in the piles of boulders. The sound of his evil cackling in the giant ape form chilled them all.

"Hahaha! Go ahead and run, but you can't hide from me!" He taunted, just as he smashed his fist through a rock behind which Chi-Chi and Krillin were hiding behind.

"This guy is quick for someone his size!" Krillin bemoaned as they leapt away.

Vegeta laughed as he kept up with their escape, smashing every rock they landed on trying to get away, but they couldn't out pace him. He was a predator chasing down his prey and enjoying every moment of it.

"You think you can outrun me?! You're gonna have to do better than that!"

"He's too fast! We'll never get away!" Chi-Chi panicked, tears flying from her eyes as they ran.

"There's gotta be something we can do!" Krillin pleaded to no one in particular, looking up at the sun. He then slowed, struck by a thought. "Wait, I have an idea!"

Stopping midstride, the bald fighter turned around to stare down the prince stomping after them.

"HEY! OVER HERE YOU BIG APE!"

"What are you doing?!" Chi-Chi cried, Gine too but then she caught on.

Vegeta saw the bald human running towards him and reached out to smash the insolent little man. "DIE!"

Krillin jumped into the air, dodging Vegeta's attack and coming face-to-face with the beast. His palms open and closed his eyes.

"SOLAR FLARE!"

Vegeta howled in pain. "AAAAAAH! NOT AGAIN!"

"Now's our chance! Go!" Shouted Krillin.

Everyone saw what he had done and took the opportunity. They ran as fast as they could, putting distance between themselves and Vegeta. Gine reminded herself to thank Krillin later for his quick thinking. If they made it out of this that is.

As she rounded a corner she skidded to a stop before almost ramming into a fat lone figure hiding behind a rock.

"GYAH! Wh-what are doing?! Get away from me! Don't bring that thing towards me!" The fat figure yelled, reaching for the katana strapped to his side. It took a moment for Gine to recognize him.

"Yajirobe?!" She asked incredulously. "What are you doing here?! Get out of here!"

"That's just what I was doing before you showed up!" Yajirobe yelled. But before he could say anything further, Raditz, Krillin, and Chi-Chi rounded the corner followed by Kami carrying the unconscious Yamcha.

"Oh, uh... hey guys." Yajirobe said awkwardly.

Krillin looked at him in confusion. "Yajirobe? What are you-"

"GET DOWN!" Gine hissed, motion for them to huddle close to the rock wall. "And suppress your ki!"

Not protesting any further, the rest of the Z-fighters did so, kneeling behind the rocks and hiding their energy presence if Vegeta tried to find them through sensing.

"CURSE YOU! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU ALL!" Vegeta's voice thundered from afar.

They all struggled to catch their breath, and as Kami gently set Yamcha down on the ground the bandit slowly regained consciousness.

"Wha-ow! My head. What happened?" He asked, wincing in pain.

"We're safe. For now." Said Kami, looking wearily in the general direction of Vegeta. "But not for long."

"How are we supposed to fight him now?!" Krillin asked in a shrill voice. "He's not a mindless beast like Kakarot was. This guy can control himself!"

Gine shook her head. "I don't know." She said. "I've used most of my energy when I went up against him. I can't do that again now."

"But... can't you and Raditz change into giant apes too to fight him?!" Krillin asked.

Raditz answered with disappointment. "We can. But you don't understand. We don't have the same self-control that Vegeta has. Only elite Saiyan warriors could do that. If we transform, we'll attack you too. We'll cause an bigger problem."

Krillin clutched his fists angrily. "This isn't good! What are we supposed to do now?!"

After a moment of grim contemplation, Gine gave them all a hard look. "We'll have to cut off his tail. It's our only chance to stop him!"

They all knew it was the only course of action before she even said it, remembering when Kakarot transformed all those years ago.

"Right!" Said Raditz, remembering how they defeated Nappa. He turned to Krillin he asked, "Krillin, if we can distract Vegeta long enough, could you sneak up behind him and use that Destructo Disk technique of yours to cut off his tail?"

Krillin thought for a moment and nodded. "Yeah. I can do that; I'll give it my best shot."

Gine smiled. "Thank you, Krillin." Then turned to everyone else. "We'll have to play a game of cat-and mouse with him. If we split up in groups of two and keep moving as fast as we can, we just might be able to keep him preoccupied for Krillin to do the deed."

"Understood." Said Kami, followed by acknowledgements of agreement from everyone else.

"Whoa, wait a minute!" Yajirobe interjected. "You're going back out there to face him?! That's suicide!"

"We have to. Or else he'll go on to destroy the entire planet." Gine explained.

Yajirobe shook his head vigorously. "Nuh-uh! Not me! I'm not gonna get myself squashed by that thing."

Gine shook her head in annoyance. "Fine. Go ahead and run if you wish, but know that if we fail, he will still kill you when he proceeds to purge all life on the planet and leave no survivors, no matter how well hidden they are." She said dead seriously, remembering all to well how thorough Saiyans were. "We can use all the help we can get."

Yajirobe looked torn. The last thing he wanted to do was put his neck on the line; but deep down he knew that Gine was right. Damned if he did, damned if he didn't. But the coward within prevailed.

"Uhhhh... well, y-you guys are far stronger and more capable than I am. I'd only just get in the way." He mumbled his lame excuse.

Gine didn't care, they were wasting time anyway.

"So... are we ready?" She asked everyone else. Even though no one felt so, it was enough to help lift their spirits. There was only a slim chance of success, but it was better than running away and waiting for him to find them.

"Right. Well, once more unto the breach!" She declared.

They all took off and flew towards the giant ape of Vegeta, leaving a cowering Yajirobe behind. Just then, Vegeta had recovered his sight and was looking around furiously.

"Grrrrr, where are you?!" He rumbled.

"OVER HERE YOU BIG APE!" Someone yelled. It was Yamcha and Kami.

"There you are! I'll crush you for good this time!" Vegeta roared. He rushed after the two but the desert bandit and Namekian phased out.

"HERE!" Cried another voice. This time it was Chi-Chi.

Vegeta looked over, forgetting about his previous prey and stomped after her instead.

"HEY! YOUR HIGHNESS!"

"Huh?" He turned to see Gine and Raditz launch themselves at him. Consumed by blind rage at seeing that woman and Raditz again, he brings up both arms to smash them. But they were fast, dodging his swiping attacks, making him even more angry. He went after them still, relentless swinging at the air as they danced around him in the air...

Until one of his blows struck Gine and sent her crashing into the ground.

"MOTHER!" Raditz cried out in alarm, but his cry kept him distracted long enough for Vegeta to swat him to the ground too. Gine quickly got back up, but Raditz had trouble, he had been hit harder than he expected.

"HAHAHA! Sorry, Raditz. But I'm afraid this is GOODBYE!" Vegeta was on him quick, ready to squash Raditz. But before Vegeta could deliver a killing blow, Gine swooped in to land a surprise punch in the nuzzle that temporally stunned Vegeta. It was enough of a distraction for her son to recover and get away.

"WHY YOU...!" Fuming that the woman had gotten the best of him again, Oozaru Vegeta roared and went after her with reckless abandon, focusing on her and her alone as everyone else tried to get his attention.

At this moment, Krillin had taken up a vantage point on a cliff behind Vegeta. This spot would have to do, and he prayed that Gine kept the prince occupied long enough.

"Okay. It's now or never!" He said aloud to himself. Without wasting any more time, Krillin raised his raised up, and a golden disk of energy formed in his palm...

"DESTRUCTO DISK!" He fired the attack. It flew after the furry appendage behind Vegeta, closing in fast...

But Vegeta suddenly leapt up into the sky as the disk passed under him and past him, narrowly avoiding Gine.

"N-n-no way!" Krillin stuttered in disbelief.

"Hahahah! Fool! You thought you could get me with such a cheap trick?! Well think again!" Vegeta laughed and stomped after Krillin. The little bald fighter did his best to evade, but Vegeta was relentless, not letting him out of his sights. His boot fell just behind him, tripping Krillin and leaving him open to be crushed.

Just as Vegeta's massive boot came down on Krillin, he was phased out by a blur just before the foot crushed the ground he was on. Raditz had swooped in and rescued Krillin. But Vegeta was mad now.

"DIE!"

He opened his mouth and fired a giant purple beam at behind Raditz's feet. The blast was big enough to blind everyone and send Raditz and Krillin flying away.

"NO!" Gine yelled, leaping after Vegeta to stop him.

Big mistake. Vegeta at this point had learned not to get close again to these vermin or risk getting blinded. He wheeled around and opened his mouth and another purple beam fired at Gine. At point blank range.

She didn't have time to escape and was hit dead center. The resulting explosion seemed almost nuclear; a towering mushroom cloud engulfed the area. Everyone was blown away by the wind, blinded by the intense light and heat.

When all was calm again, the once mountainous region was now a giant crater of smoldering rock like a barren moonscape. Nothing moved.

The giant ape of Vegeta chuckled to himself. "Well, I guess that does it for the great heroes of this puny planet. Pity, I was really beginning to enjoy the challenge."

Then he stopped laughing as he sensed the presence of all of the z-fighters. Strenge, since when could he do that? Either wya, they were still alive and recovering from the blast. Many were hiding under the debris. Raditz had pushed a big boulder off of himself, half his armor was gone, and he was bleeding profusely. He limped as he tried to stand up. Krillin lay motionless beside him, still alive albiet barely.

The few recovering enemies didn't concern Vegeta. What he focused on was the splayed form of Gine laying some distance away. Her gi was in rags, she was covered in burns and bruises and so many scrapes. She hurt all over, and was in too much pain to move, let alone get back up.

"Time to end this." Vegeta declared, marching towards the defenseless Gine.

"Mother.. get up, quick! He's coming!" Raditz yelled out to her. Jumping into the air flying to her aid.

Gine winced from the pain and called back, "No... sweetheart. Go... leave me!"

"But, mother!" Raditz cried out. "I'm not leaving you!" He reached her and kneeled down and picking her up just as Vegeta crashed down in front of them, the ground quaking from his footfalls.

"Looks like I got you cornered this time!"

Raditz could only glare up at his former superior and comrade with contempt.

"Aw, you look scared, Raditz. Well don't you worry, I'll put you out of your misery once and for all!"

Vegeta jumped, intending to squash them both, Raditz leapt away with his mother in his arms; but he was too slow to escape Vegeta's backhanded slap that sent both mother and son flying away and crashing into the mountains behind them. Gine and Raditz fell away, landing on their backs. Raditz was closest to Vegeta. Seeing a moment of opportunity, Vegeta gleefully leapt up, and came crashing down on Raditz...

His giant boot landed squarely on top of Raditz's legs. The sound of bones crunching was drowned out by Raditz's primal howl of agony. He had never felt such pain in his life.

Vegeta retracted his boot. Both of Raditz's legs were flattened, bent in wrong ways and bleeding profusely. Shards of bone splinters jutted out from torn and bloody tissue.

"Oops. Looks like I crushed both of your legs. I guess that means you can't run away from me anymore." Vegeta mockingly apologized, laughing manically as he did so.

Raditz fought against the urge to wretch from the pain and pass out. He was guilty of doing this to others before, victims of planetary purges, but never imagined what it was like to be on the receiving end of being crushed. Now he never wanted to wish this kind of pain on anyone. Except for Vegeta of course...

"I have to admit, I am quite impressed by your bravado, Raditz. You stood up to me and Nappa instead of just taking it this time. You weren't such a coward after all. Consider it a small consolation... before I crush you into oblivion." He laughed at this.

"Now, I can finally do what I came here to do: to execute you for desertion. Then I will deal with your friends and mother afterwards."

Raditz could only lay there, broken and crestfallen. He tried to look over to his mother, but Gine was still knocked out from her own injuries as well.

He couldn't believe that this was it. This was how he was going to end. About to be squashed like a bug at the hands of his own superior, all for the dumb decision of choosing his blood relations over the ruler of the Universe.

But... he had to admit, he didn't entirely regret his decision. His time here had revealed to him things about himself that he would never have known. Pleasures and joys that he didn't think were possible. And for the first time in his life, he felt in charge of his own destiny. But... he failed. He failed his mother, his brother, his friends... and Launch.

The thought of never seeing her again, and of her dying at Vegeta's hands filled him with helpless rage. He wouldn't go down quietly like this. He couldn't!

"Time to die, you filthy low-class traitor!"

Vegeta launched a finger down at Raditz, one that was bigger than he was and with enough force to squish him. But before it could land on Raditz, the downed Saiyan fired a ki blast at Vegeta's exposed face. It hit him square in the eye.

Vegeta hurled back, howling in agony as he clutched his face.

"MY EYE! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY EYE?!"

"That... was the last of my energy." Raditz croaked, and he collapsed back onto the ground on his back, exhausted.

He lolled his head over in the direction of his mother, who had regained enough consciousness to look at him.

"I'm... I'm sorry, mother." He croaked mournfully. "I tried. But..."

Gine, despite how hopeless the situation had now become, smiled warmly back at him. "I know sweetheart... And I couldn't be any prouder of you than I am right now."

Raditz felt tears well up in his eyes, the words of love from his mother filling him despite how all was lost. In the end, they put up a good fight, and that to a Saiyan was all that really mattered. And he hoped that somewhere, his father was proud of him too...

The moment ended as Vegeta had recovered and was glaring down at him with his one remaining eye and blinded/bleeding one.

"DAMN YOU, RADITZ! YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!"

"Heh." Raditz said with resigned satisfaction. "Do your worst. At least I got one last hit in."

Vegeta picked Raditz up in his grip.

"You think that's funny?! Well let's just see how much I'll be laughing, when I grind your bones into dust!"

Vegeta tightened his grip and began squeezing him, Raditz cried out as he felt his bones snapping under Vegeta's monstrous grip.

"Hahahah! Yes, YES! Let's hear those bones crack!" Vegeta laughed sadistically.

Gine lay there helplessly, unable to stop the prince from crushing her son to death.

"I'm sorry... I failed you all." Gine despaired, unsure if anyone could hear her. How ironic that her son had come back to her only to be taken from her again before her very eyes, and in a far more painful way than she could have imagined. Fate could be so cruel sometimes.

Vegeta tightened his grip, ready to deliver Raditz the final blow...

Then suddenly, Vegeta gasped in horror. Behind him, his tail fell away, severed from his body at the root.

Yajirobe flew past, his katana unsheathed. He landed on his feet and scurried away. "HE'S ALL YOURS, GUYS!" He called out behind him. Gine had no idea what to make of that.

"NOOOO! MY TAIL!" Vegeta wailed as his giant body began shrinking. He dropped the unconscious Raditz. He hit the ground with a thud, groaning.

Seconds later, the Saiyan Prince had reverted back to his normal self. Haggard, partially blinded, and insane with rage.

"Those little pests! How could I have been so careless?!" Vegeta fumed at himself, breathing hard from the exertion of the transformation.

"All right, he's back to normal!" Yamcha cried out triumphantly. Over the rocks from where the three Saiyans were, the other Z-fighters had recovered and converged on their location. The fact that their plan to turn Vegeta back to normal had worked brought cheers from them all.

But their cheers died out fast as Vegeta eyed them with a murderous glare.

"How did..." Vegeta uttered, as if realizing the Earthling's presence for the first time. Wasn't Nappa supposed to handle them? But he already knew the answer before he could admit it to himself, that if they were here now and Nappa was nowhere to be found, then they had defeated him and the Saibamen they unleashed. Vegeta was alone now, and since he could no longer harness his Oozaru form, the prince actually felt afraid for once.

Well, if Nappa couldn't beat them then he was worthless and better off dead. He will deal with these Earthlings himself. Despite the setback and beating he took; they were all weakened already. If they had trouble with Nappa, then they are no match for the Prince of all Saiyans!

Vegeta let out a scream with a blast of ki, frightening the remaining z-fighters still standing. Cutting his tail off didn't stop him, it just made him much angrier. And Gine and Raditz were both down. Now it was just Krillin, Yamcha, Chi-Chi, and Kami to face him. He turned to the still-standing Z-fighters and shouted, "You're all going to PAY! You disgraced me for the first and final time! For cutting off my tail, I'm going to teach you a whole new meaning for the word PAIN!"

He eyed Krillin. "And you, baldy! You're first!"

Faster than Krillin could react, Vegeta leapt after him and kicked the poor bald fighter hard across the ground. He skidded to a stop and didn't get back up.

"KRILLIN!" Yamcha cried out, ready to jump to his rescue, but Vegeta suddenly apparated before him. Yamcha fell back on his behind in surprise and looked up at the prince in terror while the prince glared back mockingly.

"What's wrong, earthling? You look scared!" Vegeta taunted.

He took his boot and slammed it into Yamcha's gut. The bandit's eyes bulged out in shock and pain, crying and nearly passing out. Yamcha clutched his gut in agony while Vegeta laughed at his pain.

"Hahaha! I thought that you earthlings would have put up a better fight after managing to get me back to this form..." He said as he gestured to himself "...but I guess you aren't so tough after all. What a pity!"

As he was about to stomp Yamcha in the stomach again, Kami leapt after Vegeta from behind. But the Saiyan sensed it and twirled around with an effortless roundhouse kick to send the Namekian careening away, bouncing off of several rocks before falling face down in the dirt, out of commission.

"Heheh. Patience, slug. You'll get your turn." Vegeta mocked.

"NOT IF I DO YOU IN FIRST YOU BIG JERK!"

"Huh?" Vegeta let out before he was abruptly kicked in the face by Chi-Chi. He staggered back but steadied himself, eyeing the fiery human female who appeared out of nowhere.

Vegeta chuckled darkly. He wasn't sure if he should feel admiration for this woman's bravado and her lucky hit or be horrified that he let a weakling land such a shot. Either way, no more playing around now.

"Heheh. Well, well. Perhaps someone here still has some fight left in them." He squared off against the Ox-King's daughter with a menacing look. "Okay wench, I'm game. Show me what you got!"

Chi-Chi answered by firing a ki blast at Vegeta that he leapt up away from. Chi-Chi followed his movements and phased out of sight and reappeared in front of the prince and landed another kick in his side this time.

"YOU WENCH!" Vegeta howled as Chi-Chi flew after him, but he rolled over with a front kick into her gut and sent Chi-Chi flying backwards, going on the offensive. She recovered quickly and sidestepped him, hoping to use the same attack she used earlier to get the jump on him, but he blocked her. She threw a barrage, hoping to find an opening, but he parried the attacks effortlessly. She added more energy to her attacks to break his defenses, but he just glared back at her with his predatory gaze as her blows did nothing to faze him, as if he was toying with her.

"I GOT YOUR BACK, CHI-CHI!" Cried out Yamcha, as he joins in with her and lands another lucky shot in the back that sent him to the ground.

"Ya-hoo! We got him now!" Yamcha whooped, with Chi-Chi joining him to gang up on the prince while they had him down. But Vegeta, while on the ground and unbeknownst to his attackers, grabbed a fistful of dirt and just they they got close enough, swung around and threw it Yamcha's face.

"OW!" Yamcha cried out as he caressed his eyes. It gave Vegeta the surprise he needed to take on Chi-Chi by herself with him sending a gut-wrenching kick into her abdomen. Her eyes bulged from her sockets, and she fell to her knees and rolled onto her side, clutching herself like she was about to throw up.

With one opponent down, Vegeta turned his focus onto the blinded and helpless Yamcha. Grinning with sadistic glee, Vegeta walked up to him then lifted a foot and with great force, brought it down on the side of Yamcha's leg, feeling it calve under his boot like a snapping twig. The excruciating howl Yamcha let out was like that of a wounded dog whose leg had been cut off in a bear trap.

"NO FAIR!" Yamcha cried out between sobs, falling to the ground and screaming as he clutched his leg that bent in the wrong direction.

"Who said I fight fair?" Vegeta mocked, and kicked Yamcha in the side, sending the defenseless and howling bandit rolling away.

"Leave him alone you bully!" Chi-Chi tackled from behind, shoving him forward.

Vegeta was caught by surprise that she recovered so quickly but was quick as he let out a powerful ki blast to shover her off and away. He then wheeled around and sprinted forward to land a flying punch in Chi-Chi's face. Her head snapped back, and she tumbled end over end backwards then skidded to a stop. She was still breathing but didn't get back up.

Vegeta looked around and noticed that no one was getting back up. "Well, that's the last of them." He breathed with relief. Then he set his sights on Gine.

With no one left to challenge him, the prince leisurely but threateningly walks over to her laying helplessly on the ground. He stood triumphantly over Gine and looked down at her with smug contempt while she starred back up at him in defiance.

"I've got to hand it to you, woman. Your strength was surprising, and you fought so well. You should be proud." Vegeta said with a hint of respect in his voice.

He then promptly kicked her in the face. Gine felt the cartilage in her nose snap from the hit and she howled in pain.

Vegeta laughed sadistically. "But unfortunately for you, it wasn't enough." Then his grin turned downward into a malicious glare. "And you've disrespected your true leader of the Saiyans so blatantly. Such an action like yours..."

He knelt down over her, grabbing a fistful of her gi's collar to pull her up to him. "Would normally bear the penalty of death!" He shouted as he thrusted his fist into her face. Gine's head snapped back from the blow, but Vegeta wasn't done. With the flick of his hand clutching her, he pulled her closer to him again and punched her again. And again, and again, and again. Each blow more vicious and hate-filled than the last, the sounds of each strike drowning out Gine's cries of pain.

"Ugh... he's... too strong." Krillin winced from where he was, feeling Gine's pain and the trouble she was in. "If Gine couldn't beat him, what chance do we have?!" But no one answered him back, everyone out of commission. Krillin tried his best not to cry, but he couldn't. They had failed, and Earth was doomed.

Prince Vegeta stopped his punching barrage. Gine's head lolled back limply, her face was black and blue with bruises with one eye swollen shut. Her nose was nearly flattened and pouring blood that dripped down her chin, her jaw and cheekbone might also have been broken. Vegeta's white gloved fist was stained red.

Then, out of spite, the prince lands Gine one last powerful punch that sends her crashing into the dirt. The back of her head bounced off the hard granite ground. She did not groan or move.

He picks Gine up one more time by the collar, lifting her limp head off the ground.

"So... I'll give you one last chance to reconsider, woman." Vegeta said with as much venom he could summon. "Join me... or die."

Gine didn't say anything, but slowly she lifted her head to meet his gaze with hers. Blood from a gash on her forehead trickled into her good eye, stinging it as it mixed with sweat.

"Well?" Said an expectant Vegeta, glaring at her for an answer.

There was a pause when Gine said nothing and just returned his stare, as if considering his offer. Then, she drew back and spat a mouthful of blood in his face. He flinched from it.

"Go to hell." Gine hissed, her iron-hard glare did not waver.

Vegeta regarded her with nothing but pure hatred. A small part of him was telling the truth when he said he admired her and wanted to have the Saiyan race reborn. But this wench disgraced herself and their race's destiny to the very end, humiliated him by resisting his power and even cut off his tail with the help of a bunch of weaklings, and the fact that she was not afraid to die at his hands stung him the most, like he was never meant to do his duty in leading the Saiyans back from extinction with the only Saiyan woman left in the cosmos. Like fate itself was mocking him.

"So be it." Was all he said as he wiped the red spittle away. Fine, to hell with it all. But at least he'll get the satisfaction of sending her there first.

He let go of her gi, dropping her limply to the ground and stomped down on Gine's chest and pinning her down. He applied more pressure, then he stomped her again, making some of her ribs snap as Gine cry out in pain. She grabbed his foot, but it was a feeble gesture, she was sapped of energy and strength. Her stomped again, if her ribs weren't broken before, they were now. He wanted to make sure she suffered to the very end.

Vegeta smirked as he aimed an open palm at her face, a lethal charge of ki being prepared to finish her off.

"Take a good look at my face, woman. For this will be the last thing you will see in this life." He gloated, smiling with a feral sadistic grin before he sent her off to the afterlife.

Gine was ready to accept her fate and closed her eyes awaiting the attack that will vaporize her... when her eyes shot wide open again, as well as Vegeta's.

"LEAVE MY GRANDMA ALONE!"

The prince could only look up in time to see an enraged Little Gohan headbutt him square in the chest plate of his armor...
