Chapter 1
It had been almost two years since anyone had seen or heard from her. So of course Neko-Robin was shocked when she received a letter from Nami, saying that she was coming into port and asked if she would like to meet somewhere. Of course they chose to meet at one of the many bars in port, and when Robin would get there she was again shocked to actually see her. She quickly took note that even though it had been two years, Nami had not changed that much. Except for a slight toning of the muscles in both her arms and legs, she was still the same navigator who once sailed with herself and the rest of the crew of the Going Merry.
As Robin got closer she paused, taking into account that on Nami's right arm was a black bandana...his bandana...tied tightly as if she were afraid to loose it. Also was the fact that next to her chair, resting against the wall was a white sheathed sword...his sword...still in the same shape that it was those years ago. 'Poor girl...' she thought as she finally walked up close enough for Nami to see her, that same smile of genuine caring coming across her face as she got up from the chair and hugged her. "Hey Robin! It's been a while" she spoke as she sat back down, Robin taking the other seat. "Yes it has, you seem to be doing well" Robin smiled softly, but couldn't help but look at the bandana that was on Nami's arm.
"Yeah...we're both fine..." Nami spoke as she touched the bandana and looked at the sword. "It's funny...he's gone, but as long as I keep these two things with me. It feels like he's still here." Nami's head lowered slightly, trying to hide her eyes that were now becoming misty. "Nami...What did happen that day?" Robin asked cautiously, knowing that this was still a difficult subject for her. "Which day?" Nami's voice soft and calm as she seemed to fall back into her memories, "The day my life gained a whole new meaning?...or...The day my life came crashing down?"
