"A woman?" Adrien asked.
"Yes Adrien I need to find her no matter the cost." Luka replied.
Roxie went to the garden to talk to Michael about his opinion on the guest list for the party when she suddenly stops in her tracks seeing Roland talking to him. Roland looked at her and smirks.
Roland walks to her. "At least say hi to me." Roxie stays quiet and Roland takes the paper that she was holding. "What's this?" Roxie quickly takes the paper from him. "Oh the guest list of the party of my son. I better be in that list."
"You are not his father." Roxie said sternly.
"Oh so you were with another guy the same time as with me?" Roland asked with a smirk. "You were that easy?"
"Don't insult me I'm not willing to deal with you." Roxie started to walk away but Roland grabbed her arm. "Let me go I'm not the same as before you need to respect me."
Roland let her go. "I know what name you plan to give to my son and I don't like it so find another one."
"You don't expect me to give him your name right?" Roxie asked.
"Why not Roland is a nice name." Roland replied.
"I don't want my son to have anything to do with you or to be like you." Roxie said sternly.
"Well add me to the list because I'm coming. See you on Saturday." With that Roland walks away.
"Hearing you I'm not sure if it's a woman you love or hate." Adrien stated.
"Honestly right now I'm not even sure how to answer that. I sometimes find it funny that men are either running after a woman or running away from a woman." Luka replied.
Adrien chuckles. "That's true."
"By the way I saw in the press of what happened with your wife." Luka stated. "I'm not aware of all the details because I was dealing with my own problems. Did the trail already end?"
"No Luka not yet though the interrogation of today will depend on the final results." Adrien replied.
Audrey's lawyer stood up. "I ask for a request. The witness has only said opinions and I believe that he is blind with his religious beliefs and can't give objective facts about the case and I think he should be considered unable to continue his declarations."
"The women from the news was the tutor of your daughter right..um Kagami Tsurugi correct?" Adrien nodded.
Mari was sitting on a chair in the front row of the theater practicing a few of her lines when she felt someone sit on the chair next to her. She looked up and was surprised to see Sabine Dupain-Cheng looking at her sadly with a smile. "You?" Mari asked in shock.
"You're surprised right." Sabine stated.
"What are you doing here?" Mari asked.
"I came to see you." Sabine replied.
"I brought Kagami in this house short after my wife reappeared it was thought that she was dead." Adrien stated.
"I also found that out from the press after a plane crash it was assumed that she drowned." Luka replied. "Then she appeared alive with amnesia."
"There's no reason for me to lie to you Luka. Chloe my wife wanted to be free and since I didn't want to give her the divorce for my daughter Maya she took the opportunity of the accident to live her life." Adrien stated. "Then when she was bored and out of money she came back faking to have amnesia to take her place back."
"It might have been a hard blow for you." Luka replied.
"It was especially since I got remarried and her appearance made it invalid." Adrien stated.
"I didn't know that you got remarried with who?" Luka asked.
"With a beautiful young woman named Mari." Adrien replied.
"I saw that you would be a protagonist of a play in the grand theater. I thought of coming the day of the premise but then I thought that there must be rehearsals so I called the theater and they said that you had a rehearsal tonight so I came to see you." Sabine stated.
"Can I ask why?" Mari asked in a cold voice.
"You lived with us for a time." Sabine stated.
"Yes but it's best to not remember those times Mrs. Sabine." Mari replied sternly.
Sabine sighs. "I understand that you remember the harsh times but there were also beautiful times especially in the beginning when we were starting to learn about each other but everything went downhill with misunderstandings."
"That all changed and maybe you misunderstood but I didn't everything was crystal clear to me. Remember the day I was kicked out from your house? When I was accused of being a thief? It might not have been you directly but it was your husband Judge Dupain and your daughter." Mari said harshly.
Sabine started to tear up. "Everything was a misunderstanding."
"Well it was a big misunderstanding because if it was for fairness who was supposed to be kicked out was your daughter Lila but you sided with her and let me be kicked out. Maybe you thought that it was abusive deep down but you didn't do anything to help me. In silence you let me be yell at slapped and loose what I was hoping would be a home!" Mari said sternly. "Don't worry I don't judge you after all Lila is your daughter and it makes sense that you would take her side."
"No Mari wait-"
"I really did hope something else from you. I understand you though I would prefer if I never saw you again ever." Mari finished.
"Mari? So it's not the same woman being accused right now?" Luka asked.
"No not at all that's another story. I met Mari before that actually way before that during a time that I was a mess when my marriage nor my career mattered to me." Adrien replied. "It was actually Mari who made me recover and I left that terrible life."
"Did you have something to do with her?" Luka asked.
Adrien sighs. "Yes I harmed her."
"Please don't talk like that." Sabine begged.
"What did you want to me to tell you? Did you think I would receive you with a smile as if nothing happened? Or did you came for an autograph? Than take out your pen and paper." Mari replied. "I'm not a street rat anymore now I'm an actress and might be famous tell that to your husband the judge. Tell him that I don't steal milk for the orphanage anymore I buy them. Tell him that I won't go to his house anymore to break his windows. Tell him that I'm making a life for myself."
"Do you have that much hatred for us that you can't forgive us?" Sabine asked.
"Why do you even want my forgiveness Mrs. Dupain-Cheng?" Mari asked back. "All I want to know is why you came."
"I have to tell you so many things Mari." Sabine stated.
"They must be things that I don't care about now leave so I can continue the rehearsal." Mari said sternly. Sabine slowly stood up and walked away but not before looking at Mari one last time. Mari didn't know why but she suddenly started to cry softly.
"Anyway where are you staying in Paris?" Adrien asked Luka.
"In a hotel." Luka replied.
"Do you plan to stay in Paris for a long time or are you going to your ranch soon?" Adrien asked.
Luka sighs. "Maybe I should go back and try to forget and just pretend nothing happened but as much as I try I can't."
"You said that you were looking for a woman what happened with her?" Adrien asked. "Who is it?"
As Sabine was leaving the theater Roland stopped her. "Did you tell her that you are her mother?"
"I couldn't Mari's attitude towards me was terrible." Sabine replied in tears.
"And that's when she doesn't know the truth that you are the same woman that abandoned her as a baby." Roland stated. "You better not tell Mari that you're her mother because Mari would hate you even more." Sabine just walks away and Roland goes in the theater again. He sits next to Mari. "You got very serious after talking to Mrs. Dupain-Cheng."
"How do you know that?" Mari asked.
"I saw you and you didn't treat her very well." Roland replied.
"That was nothing compared to when I lived in her house." Mari stated. "She didn't defend me when her husband kicked me out in the worst way possible."
"Maybe she regrets it and came to ask you to go back to their house." Roland replied.
"Never I would never go back to that house they treated me worst than in Adrien's house." Mari stated.
Michael was laying on the couch when he saw Elsa holding Roxie's baby. Elsa sighs. "Michael you fell asleep and with the door opened don't you know it's raining you could get sick." She closes the door.
"That doesn't matter anymore. You seem happy holding him..I wish that I let you get pregnant so you would at least have something to remember you about me when I'm gone." Michael stated. "But one day you'll have them by a man willing to form a family with you."
"I fell in love with her like a fool." Luka stated.
"And she didn't love you back?" Adrien asked.
"It seemed like she did until she left without an explanation without even saying goodbye. She took advantage of a trip I took to leave." Luka replied. "When I came back she was gone."
"How did you meet her?" Adrien asked.
"My uncle took her to live in my house. It seems that the husband abandoned her and she was expecting a baby." Luka replied. "It seems like he was irresponsible who left her for another woman without worrying about her or the baby she was expecting."
"What a jerk." Adrien said not knowing it was him they were talking about. "Did they get divorced?"
"Yes of course Iris was going to be my wife." Luka replied.
"You said that her name was Iris. Iris what?" Adrien asked.
"It might sound strange but I don't know her last name." Luka replied.
"How is it possible that you know so little of her?" Adrien asked.
"It's difficult to explain in the beginning I didn't even want to see her because of something else that happened to me which I haven't even told you yet but slowly Iris started to be part of my life." Luka replied. "Soon having her by my side and considering her as mine was natural. I didn't need to ask her anything just by having her in my life made me happy."
"I understand what you mean sometimes it feels like living in a dream." Adrien stated.
"Yea...plus she liked to keep things to herself. Everytime I tried to get closer to her she would shut herself up like those sensitive flowers that close when you touch them." Luka added.
"What do you plan to do will you keep looking for her?" Adrien asked.
"Yes Adrien I need to know why she abandoned me. I at least deserve an explanation from her." Luka replied.
"If you want Luka you can come live here at the house." Adrien suggested. "You'll feel more conformable here"
"No I wouldn't want to bother you." Luka stated.
"You won't we grew up as brothers since I couldn't reach my happiness I at least want you to reach your happiness." Adrien replied
"I doubt I'll find her though." Luka stated.
"If you really love Iris than fight for her. Actually I'll do everything in my power to help you find her." Adrien replied not knowing what he got himself into.
The next day Mike visited Adrien and showed him the latest article of the trail. "I thought you would be interested in what the press has to say about the case."
"For the first time they are considering the split personality." Adrien stated.
Mike nodded. "The presence of Father Carlos was positive. The judge was even impressed with his declarations."
"I doubt anyone can deny the word of a priest. Do you think that this gives Kagami a chance?" Adrien asked.
"Of course our territory is winning ground and soon we'll be victorious." Mike replied.
"I hope so first because I do think she is innocent and second because I feel responsible of that tragedy." Adrien stated.
Mathew looks out his window and sighs. "The party is coming up...should I go...what if I fall...Ruby will be there with that doctor but Alix said Ruby still loves me could it be true?"
At that moment Elena walked in the house and saw the mess of painting supplies. "You have such a mess but I won't complain I rather have this than seeing you looking at the roof all day." She saw a beautiful painting. "I like this one can I take it home?"
"Take all the ones that you want mom I have enough to fill a full gallery." Mathew replied. "Mom I need you to bring me the last tux that I brought before I left the house the black one."
"Yes I know which one it is but why do you want it?" Elena asked.
"I need it for tomorrow." Mathew replied.
"Pick us up around 3." Ruby told Max over the phone. "We should be ready by than."
"Okay I'll be there by 3." Max replied.
Ruby hanged up and she suddenly thinks about Mathew. She sighs as she dials his number. "Hello?" Came his voice.
"Mathew it's me." Ruby replied.
"Roland said he was going to come do you think he said that just to bother me or will he really come to the party?" Roxie asked Elsa.
"Roland is capable of coming. All you can do is to prohibited the pass to him though that might cause a scene." Elsa replied.
"What if I go see him and beg him to not come?" Roxie suggested.
"Don't waste your time it might make the situation worse." Elsa replied.
"It would be terrible if he ruins the party." Roxie stated.
"Just ignore him everyone knows that he is the father so it would feel natural to everyone else that he was there." Elsa replied.
"I'll feel embarrassed in front of...Edward." Roxie stated.
"Please Edward is very understanding and he knows your full story." Elsa replied.
"How are you?" Mathew asked.
"Good and you?" Ruby asked back.
"Like always. I'm grateful that you still remember about me Ruby." Mathew replied.
"Mathew I want to see you can I go to your house?" Ruby asked. "If you say yes I'll go there immediately."
"No Ruby it's best that you don't come. Thanks for calling Ruby bye." Mathew hangs up.
Ruby starts to cry softly meanwhile Mathew was overjoyed knowing that Ruby still cared about him.
Later that day Adrien and Luka were walking in the house with Luka holding his suitcase when Ruby was about to walk up the stairs. "Ruby this is Luka the friend that I told you was staying for a while."
"Nice to meet you Ruby." Luka said extending his hand to her to shake.
Ruby shook it. "Likewise it's a pleasure having you here excuse me." Ruby quickly walks up the stairs.
"Is she okay?" Luka asked Adrien.
Adrien sighs. "Like us she has romantic problems. Anyway want to come with me to the prison I'm going to go visit Kagami and you'll be able to meet her."
Mari was at the theater waiting for an interview to start and she was reflecting on her meeting with Sabine the day before. "I think that I was too harsh on Mrs. Sabine I shouldn't be like that. Who knows why she came...I could never forgive her never. She was like my mom and I'll never forgive neither of them for how they treated me."
Roland walked over to her with the press. "Violet here's the press smile."
Mari forced a smile as pictures were taken of her.
"Well I was planning on looking for Iris again." Luka stated.
"Do you know where you're going to go?" Adrien asked.
"No I'll probably just go around Paris as always." Luka replied.
"You can do that later. First I'm going to the office of Mr. Sparks the lawyer than I'm going to see Kagami and I would like for you to meet her." Adrien stated.
Luka nodded. "Alright let's go."
Sabine was driving to the grand theater hoping to see Mari again.
"You better not tell Mari that you're her mother because Mari would hate you even more."
"I don't care I need to see her again and even if she rejects me I'm going to tell her that I'm her mother." Sabine said to herself.
"Here you go." Luka handed Mike a file that he asked him to get.
"Thank you Luka...Luka hm." Mike thinks of something. "When Adrien introduced me to you earlier I didn't really pay attention to your name since this case is all I think about but your name is familiar but where...that's it from Miss. Kagami Tsurugi."
"With Kagami?" Adrien asked confused.
"Yes when Miss. Kagami was trying to remember a person from the past she mentioned a doctor with the name of Luka." Mike stated.
"Miss. Violet where were you born?" One reporter asked.
"Here in Paris." Mari replied.
"How do you feel about being part of an important premiere?" Another reporter asked.
"Very nervous." Mari replied.
"Do you feel comfortable with playing the role of Juliet?" A reporter asked.
"Yes though I beg to God for me to not mess up imagine what would it feel like with so many people watching you and you messing up." Mari replied.
"And where did you find Miss. Violet Ladybug?" A reporter asked Roland.
"We're good friends for many years." Roland replied. "You'll see that Violet will be a great success."
"Kagami told you that?" Adrien asked Mike.
"Yes but that's all she remembers and there's so many Lukas in the world." Mike replied.
"Of course she must have been talking about another Luka because I have never met a woman with the name of Kagami Tsurugi." Luka stated.
"Who is that guy that Adrien let to live here?" Audrey exclaimed.
"I already told you that he's one of Adrien's friends." Ruby replied.
"Why did he bring him here?" Audrey asked.
"He didn't bring him here he lives in California and came looking for someone as a good friend Adrien let him stay at the house." Ruby replied.
"So I have to deal with a stranger in my house?" Audrey asked.
"For Adrien he's not a stranger. They have been friends for years and if you don't like the presence of that man in my brother's house than you can just pack up and leave." Ruby said frustrated with her.
"Yes tell her that I'm on my way." Mike said over the phone before hanging up. "I'll be right back." He leaves the office.
"I'm also leaving Adrien the phone call I recently had was about the ranch. Go visit Miss. Tsurugi I'll just take a taxi I'll meet her some other day." Luka stated.
"You are an insolent girl. How do you treat am older woman like that?" Audrey exclaimed.
"I'm sorry Audrey I'm a little altered and you frustrate me. My brother knows what he's doing if he invites his friend to stay st his house than you and no one can stop him." Ruby replied.
"When did you receive this?" Tom asked Lila after reading the letter that was calling Lila to declare in Kagami's trial.
"Today but I don't know why I got it I don't really have anything to add about the facts." Lila replied.
"Are you sure that you didn't volunteer? Let's be honest you always wanted to marry Adrien any woman that might get in your way becomes your rival." Tom stated. "I believe that you want Kagami Tsurugi to go to prison."
"How are you Kagami?" Adrien asked her when he visited her.
"Good." Kagami replied.
"Things are getting better Kagami. Mike told me that the declaration of Father Carlos impressed the judge and that's a big favor for us." Adrien stated. "Soon you'll declare and you need to disprove any lies said about you."
"But I get desperate with each day that passes." Kagami replied.
"Kagami were you always so shy and nervous?" Adrien asked.
Kagami shook her head. "No not before..."
"Not before when?" Adrien asked.
"Dad you always cared about me." Lila said faking sadness. "I didn't ask to declare I don't want to declare and I won't declare."
"I'm sorry if I'm being unfair but you have to declare they called you for a reason plus it's mandatory." Tom replied. "Either way its not a problem that affects us directly we have our own problems...do you know where Sabine went?" Lila shook her head no. "She left last night too and she came back without saying a word. Hopefully it's not what I think that it is that she went to talk to Mari."
Mari watches Adrienne sleep. "I can't wait until she recognizes me and says that one word that is so beautiful...mom." Mari looked over at Fu. "By the way I forgot to tell you guess who went to see me yesterday at the theater."
"Who?" Fu asked.
"The wife of the judge Mrs. Sabine Dupain-Cheng." Mari replied.
"I don't understand why are you worrying now you're the one who showed her the newspaper." Lila stated.
"It would be unfair if I didn't." Tom replied.
"Is this your way of asking me to leave so Mari can take my place?" Lila asked once again faking sadness.
"You might think that I killed my sister but I didn't." Kagami stated. "Don't make me talk about the situation but please believe me that I didn't kill her."
Adrien nodded. "Alright. You know I have a friend staying at the house I was going to bring him so you could meet him but he had to deal with some business. He's like my brother and I have luck since right now company is what I needed."
"I'm glad." Kagami replied.
"You know that my wish isn't for you to leave so she can come." Tom stated.
"What would you do if Mari comes to live here?" Lila asked.
"Accept her because she's my daughter and Sabine cares about her." Tom replied.
Plagg runs over to them. "Sir the Red Cross is calling you."
"What?" Tom takes the phone. "Hello?...WHAT!? HOW DID IT HAPPEN!?...I'm on my way." Tom hangs up.
"What's wrong dad?" Lila asked.
"Sabine was in a car crash and she's in the edge of dying." Tom replied in desperation.
