After a night's rest, Altair and his group set off for the school, where Rei's father might be.

Arriving at the school, they saw a bunch of police officers standing guard, as well as many survivors from the school, making the sight somewhat hopeful, since it was rare to see people trying to help each other in the middle of an apocalypse.

"Are you guys survivors too?"

"Aren't you Rei? Your father is here too."

A guard the police waved to Altair's group, plus they were also able to identify Rei, as the daughter of one of the men who helped save the people here.

"Come in, don't take too long, besides, Rei, go see your father now, he missed you so much. Geez, Kiriko, you're still alive..." Another policeman who had just arrived said with a smile on his face.

Rei quickly found his father, and Altair had to say, it was a very moving scene, even the survivors who were in the school, were a little emotional, with the scene of a reunion.

Kiriko didn't stay aside for long either, and soon went to hug her husband whom she had been worried about all this time.

"Good, good. I always knew you two would be fine. Even Takashi is here, besides, your mother is here too. This might be the happiest day of my life." Rei's father said with a huge smile on his face, while tears seemed to escape his eyes.

Takashi nodded and joined them.

"It seems that our goal of finding your relatives is completed..." Altair commented.

Saeko who was standing next to him, nodded and asked.

"What now?" Saeko asked Altair, curious to know what he would do.

Altair shook his head and said, "To be honest, I am still thinking about what to do, today when we were coming here, I looked a little more closely at the sky, and noticed that the weather seemed to be a little different, it is likely that some accident happened. It's even possible that the government has used some nuclear bomb..."

"The weather is different? I felt some of that, but I didn't take it too seriously, but now that you said that, it seems to be so..." Saeko commented a little surprised at the redhead's perception of things around them.

"Luckily we are in Tokyo, otherwise the chances of getting caught by a nuclear bomb is very high, of course, we still have a big problem, and that is, Tokyo has the largest population currently, so you are likely to have a lot of zombies scattered around, but the advantage is that the government will not allow Tokyo to fall."

Saying this, Altair began to think about what he should do to complete his Dungeon, the system had not given him any information, and all the side quests he completed came randomly, plus his main quest, had no requirements, just telling him to complete the dungeon.

Altair looked at the survivors in this school, and sighed a little, there were a lot of people here, so it is likely that it is the government that sent them to protect these people, he could also see that there were some high class people, taking shelter here, which only made his thoughts deepen even more.

Saya who wasn't too far away from the two, approached them and said, "If we join the government, we will probably get preferential treatment, since our group is extremely strong, especially, Altair who can kill thousands of zombies easily."

"But we can also choose to leave the country, which might be a little difficult but not impossible."

Hearing Saya's words, he just shook his head, he didn't intend to join the government, since his actions might be too restricted, and that was not something he would like, and about leaving the country, he didn't consider that option as viable, since other countries are likely to be worse off than here.

"I believe we should stay in Japan, besides, even if we suffer from lack of food and medicine, it would still be better than joining some military group, where we would probably be separated, besides..."

Saya nodded at Altair's speech, she also thought the same way as him, after all, their group, managed to get this far without help, so it wouldn't be a problem to survive amidst all this chaos.

"Everyone seems to have the same thought. So instead of handing over our fate and lives to other people, we might as well take care of ourselves just as we are currently doing." Saeko said.

"How are you going to stay, I as a teacher and doctor can't abandon you." Shizuka said with a smile on her face, signaling that she would also like to stay with the group.

Even little Alice, proclaimed that she would stay with Altair, since he was the only person who could make this little girl feel safe.

Kohta who was at the side listening to the conversation stepped forward and said, "I also want to stay and fight, I feel I will be more useful in this group, than with the government."

"With that only Takashi and Miyamoto would stay, after all they are with their parents, so it might be that they don't want to come with us." Saya said pushing up her glasses.

Altair nodded his head.

"No matter, as long as they are safe everything is fine. Remember we would only survive with those brave enough to keep living. So no matter what Takashi and Rei choose, as long as they are alive and safe it's good."

"I think they can come with us, after all, they have already confirmed the safety of their parents, so now they can fight without any reservation as they seek to create a place to protect them." Saeko said.

"That is true." Altair nodded, and continued discussing with the group for quite a while.

He had to say, the group seemed more united now that they had finally successfully finished their first goal. But while talking with his group, Altair was thinking about what he should do.

"Savior of the World..." He remembered what Alice had called him, and he felt that maybe he could do that, from his main goal, in fact, he even felt that in the future he would have the ability to do such a thing.

A few days had passed since Altair and his group had arrived at the primary school, and they realized that the group of survivors here were really doing well, at least as far as possible.

Seeing that everyone was doing well, Altair knew it was time to leave with his group, he felt that the climate of this place was getting worse with time, and his thoughts were only confirmed when he saw that some helicopters were landing at this school to rescue the groups of survivors.

"Looks like things are going to get more complicated..." Altair felt that the weather changing in this way was not something natural, and most likely had been caused by humans.

Takashi and Rei in the end decided to stay with Altair's group, they felt it would be better to create a safe place, rather than follow the government, but of course, their parents would still stay with the government until they could create a protected base to pick them up.

Altair had to say the farewell to these two, was really moving, even some tears seemed to escape his own eyes as he watched this scene.

"Magnificent." Altair looked like a spectator watching an apocalypse movie, watching Rei and Takashi's farewell with their parents.

After an emotional goodbye, the group left the elementary school. And so far, Altair and his group had saved dozens of survivors, because they intended to set up their own base for protection.

The humvee they had had been destroyed by continuous use, so they had to walk all this time they were away.

"Okay, we are almost to the place that should be our base in the future." Altair said as he leaned against a tree to rest.

He did not do this because he was tired, in fact, he could easily run all the way, to the location he had marked on the map, but, he knew that his group was not the same as him, and when he looked back he saw that everyone was tired, so he decided to take a break.

Altair's current group, contains 30 people, which can be considered a large group in this apocalypse. At first, he thought it would be problematic, dealing with these people, but he realized he was wrong, after all, it had been a long time since the apocalypse began, so people had changed completely.

Those arrogant people were now all quiet and obedient, because they feared being abandoned, and those shy people now talked much more, because they feared appearing useless to the group.

This was a change that Altair had expected, but he still thought he would have problems with a large group, since every survival anime or novel he read always had problems with groups. But it seems that this will not be the case with his group.

There were even people in his group, who stood out from the others, for example, Fujiro Souta, a 26-year-old man, who showed great skills with weapons.

And thanks to this man, the other survivors also became motivated, and began to strive to improve the skills they were good at. The person who was happiest about this change in people was precisely Altair, the leader of this group.

He was extremely happy, mainly because in his group, there were two farmers, who knew the location of a place that could be made a base, moreover the place they talked about had a large crop, as well as a sea behind it, allowing them to be safe.

While he was thinking about this, he saw Saya approaching, and Altair knew that she would probably relay the group's objective to him.

"Currently our food is running out, but once we reach the place marked by the two farmers our troubles will end, besides, Takashi took a group of five people with him to explore the surroundings, and he found five more people, so they brought them back. And according to my interview, these 5 people are quite capable, being two doctors, and three security guards."

Altair nodded and said, "That's good, doctors are the most important people in a group in this situation, plus these three security guards can be useful in battle, so see to it that in the next search, these three are involved, so we can test their skills..."

"Also, we are almost at our goal, so once we get there, we will create two groups, a search group and a protection group, the search group, will go out in search of survivors and supplies, while the protection group will stay behind, and protect our base, as well as take care of our own people..."

Altair said in a quiet way, he had already thought of many things that could be done in the future, but for now he knows that he will have to go with one step at a time, just to avoid taking a step bigger than his leg.

Also, if the information of the two farmers is right, then they will no longer have to worry about food, which could cause their group to expand much faster.

But of course, Altair was not accepting just anyone into his group, in fact, only those, brave and capable people could be part of it, this is because, he feared creating a system, where some people would be lazy at the base, while others were risking their own lives for survival.

"According to the map the two farmers gave us, then the place is protected by a river, which could serve as protection against the zombies. But even with that protection we should build a wall around the base, just in case a huge horde manages to cross that river."

Altair nodded, agreeing with what Saya was saying.

"You really are our strategist." Altair said with a smile.
