Altair continued to discuss with Saya the future of the group, and he had to say, this girl was a genius when it came to strategy, he even wondered if given the opportunity this girl could take over this world?
Of course, these thoughts didn't last long, since he thought that this was a very distant goal for his group, which currently consisted of 25 people, counting the five people Takashi had brought back.
Saeko, who was beside him, couldn't understand many words of what the two of them were talking about, since she didn't consider herself a strategist, in fact, what she liked most, was killing the zombies, that's why she was in the search party.
But she understood one thing, the future of her group was really good, at least, if no unforeseen events happened, her group could easily survive in this world.
Currently Altair and his group were working out the details of establishing the base, while Takashi and Kohta continued to scour the surrounding area for survivors and supplies.
And so a month passed...
Altair and his group arrived at the location marked on the map given to them by the two farmers, and when they got there, he was surprised, because the location was even better than the one described by the farmers.
So without much thought, he and his group quickly set about cleaning up the place to make it even safer. It must be said, that the place was infested with zombies, which was normal, since it used to be a place used for farming.
But the zombies were easily dealt with by Altair, along with the help of the members of the search party. After clearing the zombies, they began to check the place to see if they could find any survivors, and after a thorough search, they found 25 survivors, which increased the population of their group to 50 people.
Among those 50 people, only 30 could fight, while the rest were children and women, of course, this was not bad, since the people who could not fight, were mainly, part of the logistics group, which could make their base bigger and safer.
"Boss, I was able to collect information on all the members of our group, so I gave everyone jobs based on their skills." Saya said pushing up her glasses as she looked at Altair who was eating an apple.
"Also, the fields have been cleared, and most of the land has been preserved, so I have already asked the farmers, to start planting, so we will soon have a big harvest. The search party, also managed to find some cattle, which can provide us with meat in the long run, so I have assigned a pro-efficient woman in the cattle area, to take care of that."
Altair just nodded at each of Saya's lines, on the outside he seemed calm, but on the inside, he was a bit agitated, after all, even he didn't expect things to turn out this well.
"What about the accommodations?" Altair asked, as he grabbed another apple from his backpack and continued eating.
"All the people are in comfortable accommodations, plus I've separated the women's and men's room, just to avoid problems at first, but in the future I plan to create areas where these people can build their own homes." Saya said.
"That's good, currently humanity is under reconstruction, so it's good to avoid problems like men going after women, besides, we have to avoid any women showing up pregnant, after all, our base is not finished yet, so that might delay a lot of our plans."
"The medicines and tools for everyday life seemed to be fine, but actually, we might have problems with that, since there are no more apothecaries to manufacture medicines, so it is likely that in the future we will have to rely on herbs to cure some diseases and injuries." Altair said with a sigh.
Takashi soon approached Altair and Saya who were talking and said, "Reporting to the boss, we didn't spot any zombies in the vicinity, but we were able to bring in some supplies, as well as a large amount of medicine. We also managed to find fourteen other survivors, four of them being fighters."
Hearing Takashi's report, Altair nodded and soon dismissed him to the two people. He wanted to be alone for a while.
Seeing the two leaving Altair let out a sigh.
"Sigh! Even after all this time, I still haven't managed to complete the dungeon, this is really making me a bit anxious, since I don't know how much time has passed in the other world since I entered this dungeon."
With these thoughts, Altair continued to think about what he should do to try to complete his main quest. It must be said that in this time, he had completed many side quests, such as one to create a safe base, as well as others such as surviving for over a month, plus a side quest he recently completed where he had to kill 100,000 zombies.
While he was lost in thought, he heard the sound of a helicopter descending on his base, and out of the helicopter came a Miyamoto Tadashi.
"I finally found you guys. My goodness, you really have built a base..." Entering the base, he found that the place was very clean and safe, very different from the outside world that was in complete chaos.
"This place might really be the last hope of the world..." Tadashi thought with a wistful look.
"Father..." Rei ran over and hugged Tadashi.
"Another exciting reunion." Altair commented with a smile on his face as he saw the scene in front of him.
The other survivors who were also nearby had smiles on their faces, as scenes like these lit a glimmer of hope in them, after all, they also had relatives, and all they wanted now, was to strengthen themselves, and bring them here, the only safe place in their eyes.
Moreover all the survivors now also looked to Altair, in their minds, everything they were living through now, was only possible because of this man, who at the most difficult moment of their lives, reached out to help them, as well as giving them a reason to keep on living.
There were even some survivors, saying that he was the new messiah, who could save this survivor's world, and even if this group is small, in the future it would grow bigger and bigger.
Especially when all the actions Altair took seemed to be divine, especially when he personally led the search party, as everyone could witness his battle prowess that could only be described as divine.
One of the members of the search party even said that even 1 million zombies could not hurt Altair. And at first people thought this was a joke, but on a search mission led by Altair, the group had been surrounded by a zombie horde of about 1,000 zombies, but Altair with little effort cleaned out all the zombies easily.
Making this belief even greater about him.
Of course, Altair, didn't care what this group thought, in fact, he even found this belief that he was the savior of the world funny.
After he finished hugging Rei, Tadashi turned to Altair and said, "I think we need to talk a little."
Altair nodded, and headed toward the room they had set up for council meetings.
Yes, they had set up a place where there would be 'council' meetings, and the council members were precisely, Altair, as leader of all and also the one who had the final word.
While the other members were, Takashi, Rei, Shizuka, Saeko and Kohta.
In the meeting room, Altair was sitting in front of Tadashi as he listened to the other tell his problems, and he had to say, things were getting difficult for the government.
