The tray of food that Irene was holding fell from her hands, making it spill all over the floor.

Although Irene was a clumsy person, something that the goddess of this land did not mind, it was not her fault today.

It was because the ground under her suddenly started to rumble.

Fearing the worst, Irene dashed through the hall to find the goddess.

The safest place to be near her.

Her words, not Irene's. And with who she was, Irene did not doubt her claim.

When Irene was in the back garden of the temple, she saw the figure of one of the people that changed her life.

Normally, Irene would see Messiah enjoying some snacks while overseeing the view under the shade of her home's roof. She would let her presence be known by greeting her, her voice was slowly returning back to her now. Although Irene knew Messiah noticed her, she just liked to use her voice more often, a thought that the goddess shared with her.

However, today, even if she still had her normal Voice, she would still be left speechless at the sight in front of her.

With how many times Irene found herself here, she remembered the scenery.

She was sure that the mountain did not list a big portion of it. It was like someone cut the top part of it.

Avalanche could be seen falling from what was left of it. Luckily no settlement was in the area, so one was harmed by all of this.

But who had done this?

Irene had a good guess on who.

The candidate should be the usual kind goddess in front of her.

However, for today, what Irene was looking at was not the usual kind and composed goddess that she got to know.

In front of her was a goddess who was barely controlling herself to not destroy the world in front of her.

In the goddess' hands was a sword that was completely made of maple leaves, barely holding on to its shape as it was vibrating like some sort of chainsaw. Irene could hear Messiah seething and her knuckle on the said sword tightened on its grip, making her hand paler by the second. The grey scarf that Messiah held so dearly in her heart, slapped in the winds that were left after her attack on the mountain. Her breath was so deep that Irene could hear it with her back facing her now.

Although she did not know what was going on, one thing Irene was sure about.

Messiah was furious.

Her seething was the only thing Irene could hear.

"They. DARE!"

Irene's body froze at how venomous the words that came out from Messiah's mouth were.

Messiah took a deep breath in.

And she exhales it.

After regaining what semblance of composure she could find, Messiah turned herself to face her maid.

The poor girl almost passed out when had Messiah's eyes on her.

If Irene would explain what she was seeing, her eyes were like ages to hell with how fierce they were.

"Pack your bags, Irene. We're going to Rhodes Island."

"Now."

Irene did not need to be told twice and asked away to get both of their things ready.

Messiah looked back in the direction where Rhodes Island and narrowed her eyes.

If Messiah was not able to save him…

Mira would.

Even if it was the last thing she did.

Ye watched as the second arrow spun in his wall clock.

The moment it reached 12, Ye stared at his phone.

Like always, it rang.

He chuckled and made his way to it. Picking it up, Ye answered the call with a smile.

"Hey there Mom—"

"Get in the call!"

… Well there goes his eardrums.

Before he could say anything, the call ended.

Ye smiled at the empty screen before he pocketed it away. He made his way to his room. After closing the door behind him, Ye went to his desk and turned on his laptop.

Browsing through the screen, Ye opened one of the apps.

A phone icon popped and he immediately answered it.

A tab appeared in front of him and in it, he saw two people sitting on a sofa. The man smiled at him while the woman who sat next to him was staring at him.

"Is it working, Dear?" Mom asked Dad, "I'm not really good at this."

As he stared at his wife, Dad pointed a finger at him.

"Seeing that our son is on the screen, I think it is."

Even from here, Ye saw how Mom's widened when she heard what Dad just told her.

Her head instantly spun her head and faced the camera.

"Ye! Happy Birthday!"

Ye smiled at how excited she sounded.

"Thanks, Mom." Shaking his head, Ye chucked, "You know you can wait later."

"Nonsense." Clapping her hands, she stared at him like he just said something ridiculous, "As your mother, it is my duty to be the first to say that. You think just because you are away and at a university can stop me?"

"Just give up Ye," Dad smiled at him, "You know how stubborn your mother can be. You inherited that from her."

Ye smiled at this.

"How have you two been?" Ye asked.

"The shop is doing well!" Mom excitedly told him, "People finally understand that flowers really do make everything better. I am also writing now. I can't wait to show it to you! You've been really useful!"

"I'm happy to hear that," With how he was smiling at them, Ye really meant it. He then glanced at his father, "Dad?"

He didn't answer immediately, Dad thought about his question for a while.

"I did some commissions. Oh! I also bought a telescope."

"Really?" That surprised him

"Nothing that special just wanted to look at the sky more." Dad smiled at him while raising his hand at him. On his waist was a simple watch, "Your watch is really holding on."

"Enough of us!" Mom cut in and said, "Let's talk about you and your present!"

"Present?" Ye raised an eyebrow at this, "What present?"

Rather than answering, another call appeared on his screen.

"Answer it." Mom was too excited for his liking. And Dad only gave him a small smile.

Answering the call, another person was now on the call.

"H-Hello."

Ye's eyes widened at the sight of a familiar person on the screen now.

"Yue?"

From how cheeky his Mom was smiling and his Dad giving him a sorry smile, he knew this was all set up by her.

He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, hiding his face from the camera. However, when he pulled his hand away, Ye smiled at her.

With that, he continued with his birthday party. They exchanged stories with one another and even Yue, who was timid at first, shared some stories about her life with the family.

Rain poured loudly outside.

As Ye was enjoying himself, outside of his house a man could be seen standing not far from Ye's window.

The hooded man hummed at how happy Ye was now.

Then he looked away and watched as a black cat slowly walked back into the alleyway that was not far from Ye's house.

If Ye were to go out now, he might get to see it.

Sadly, he was spending time with his family now.

"A shame," The man hummed, "No Snow."
