"You're being chased Roland just stop! You don't have an escape."

"They won't catch me you'll see. They might lock up Lila but not me."

"WATCH OUT!"

"How are Roxie and Eddie?" Adrien asked Edward after he told him about the car crash the next day.

"They're fine miraculously. Roxie just gain cuts and buises but Rople is very injured close to death...it's sad not pitting the death of someone especially if we are doctors. Would you consider me as a jerk if I told you that I wouldn't feel bad if he died? He wanted to forbid the happiness of Roxie and I. He tormented her by his threats and even tried to take Eddie away. For us it's a relief that he disappears. We'll be able to plan our happiness together." Edward replied. "So how are things with you? Especially your relationship with Mari."

Adrien sighs. "I have also found a solution Edward but it's not the same as yours. I'm thinking about leaving Paris. A long trip with no date of when I'm coming back."

"I can't believe that Roland could die." Mari stated after her parents told her about the car crash. "I didn't agree with some things he did but i won't wish for his death because of that...I guess only God can judge him."

"When do you plan to leave?" Edward asked.

"As soon as I can Edward.." Adrien replied. "I'm getting everything prepared to leave as soon as possible with Maya. I would always criticized people for running away but now I understand that there are some occasions that it's best to run away to think things over."

Later that day Luka went to visit Adrien. "Hi Luka I don't need to ask you how you're doing since Kagami told me how happy you both are now married."

"Yes and all thanks to you for helping us understand our feelings." Luka replied. "We wouldn't be happy right now without your help so thank you."

Adrien smiled. "I'm so happy for you two."

"I wish I could say the same thing about you and Mari but from what Kagami told me there hasn't been any improvement with your relationship." Luka stated.

"Our relationship is more complicated than your relationship with Kagami was." Adrien replied.

"What If I go talk to her and get her out from her stubbornness and accept her feelings." Luka suggested.

"Adrienne now has everything you wanted her to have Mari except for one thing her father." Father Carlos told Mari as he helped her set up her bed.

"I wish it wasn't like this but I don't want to share her with him if he has no feelings for me." Mari replied.

"Are you sure about that Mari?" Father Carlos asked. "What you should do is talk to him frankly with your heart in your hand."

"In this kind of situation I think that it's best that no one else gets involved." Adrien stated.

"I understand I promise that I won't get involved." Luka replied.

"I decided to leave for a while." Adrien stated. "I hope to leave as soon as possible."

"What about the trail?" Luka asked. "I only stayed in Paris to be your witness."

"The trail can continue without me." Adrien replied. "You don't have to stay in Paris any longer Luka. Roland Rople is already getting punished. He had a car crash he's at the point of dying."

"He hasn't even come to see me." Mari replied.

"What If he did and you didn't notice. After all you're still blind but does he know that? If he came to see you but you didn't notice he might have thought that you were ignoring him and left." Father Carlos replied.

"You were the culprit of your niece with the plan of killing Miss. Marinette Dupain-Cheng." Mike stated during the interrogation of Isabella.

"No I already told you that I didn't know anything." Isabella replied. "I tried to convince her to not do it really. I thought she listened to my pleads."

"Oh really are you sure about that? Everyone knows about the lie you made and the harm you did to the young woman. Now don't make us believe that you had pity on her." Mike stated.

"It was for fear I knew that it was risky and that we could get caught." Isabella replied.

"Admit that you were involved with everything." Mike said sternly. "There's evidence of it Mrs. Red. You didn't defend your niece during the confrontation. You were her culprit just confess already."

Isabella starts tearing up. "It's true I knew everything. I'm guilty."

"I don't want him to worry about me just because of pity. He doesn't care about me he stopped coming to the hospital after knowing that I wasn't going to die." Mari stated. "Who was always by my side was Luka. I know it wasn't because of love because who he really loved was Kagami but he was still there as a friend. Adrien was only there when it was thought that I was going to die."

"You don't want to understand Mari you're still acting as a stubborn teenager." Father Carlos replied.

"Adrien doesn't love me anymore and even if he did what could I offer him? I'm blind I can't drag him to my dismay. I rejected him before I can't ask him to come to me now." Mari replied.

At that moment Fu walked in the room. "Mari Dr. Agreste is here to see you. Do I tell him to come in?"

"Tell him to come in." Father Carlos answered before Mari could say anything. Fu nodded and left the room.

"He came to see me." Mari said with a smile.

"Talk with him frankly Marinette. With your heart in your hand. Maybe everything between the two of you will be solved." Father Carlos stated before sitting Mari on a chair a moment before Adrien walked in the room. "I'll leave you two alone." With that he walked away.

"How are you Mari?" Adrien asked standing behind her.

"Good." Mari replied.

"Where's Adrienne?" Adrien asked.

"My mom is bathing her right now you can wait to see her if you want." Mari replied.

"Of course I'm eager to see her though I didn't come to see her specifically. What I wanted was to talk to you." Adrien stated. "It's simple really I came to say goodbye."

"You're leaving?" Mari asked with a frown.

"Yes I decided to leave to the United States. Most likely with Maya." Adrien replied.

"Oh so it's a vacation." Mari stated.

"Not excidly Mari I don't know when I'm coming back." Adrien replied. "I think that we have been tormenting each other a lot Mari...the worst part is that it's in a fight without sense. The things that were separating us could have disappeared but they didn't. What united us could've brought us together with our feelings being stronger but they didn't. They just faded over time. I don't blame you I don't know who of us is to blame here and there's no reason to try to figure that out." Adrien bends next to her. "Hope faded away so why should we ask questions without any purpose more suffering would just happen. Let's not end this with a sour note I want you to redo your life and I'll try to do the same."

"You mean find new love?" Mari asked almost choking the words out.

"Maybe a new love since ours wasn't strong enough to give us happiness." Adrien replied. "It's best to end it here and the best way to do so is by being distant with each other. That's why I want to leave far away."

"Do you not care about Adrienne anymore?" Mari asked starting to tear up.

"Of course I do but I know that you'll take good care of her for both of us." Adrien replied. "Why are you crying Mari?" Adrien gently moves her chin so she's facing him but she looks down so he wouldn't notice that she was still blind.

"I'm sorry Adrien you wanted our goodbye to be calm not with tears." Mari stated.

"Mari it hurts me to see you crying." Adrien replied.

"Just forgot about me crying it's not important." Mari stated.

"Your tears are important to me Mari I wouldn't want to leave without knowing what they mean." Adrien replied.

At that moment there was a knock on the door before Tom walked in. "Hello Adrien."

"Hello Tom I'm glad to see you feeling better." Adrien stated.

"Thank you fortunately the danger is over." Tom replied. "I was told that you were here and I wanted to talk to you about something. It turns out that Lila is pretending to be crazy to avoid being sentenced for what she did to Mari. Even though her lawyer told her to not do it she went along with it anyway. It has to be proven that she's lying to be able to punish her."

"That won't be hard to prove." Adrien stated. Tom nodded before leaving the room. "Well Mari I can't explain your tears and I'm sorry...goodbye Mari." He extends his hand to her.

She doesn't see it so she doesn't take it. "Goodbye Adrien. Have a good life." Adrien sighs and leaves the room. Hearing the door close Mari bursts into tears. "Now Adrien really left forever. Adrien left and he's going far away. If he only knew that I can't live without him."

Soon her parents and Fu walked in and she told them what happened. "Why didn't you tell him the truth Marinette?" Sabine asked.

"For what just so he feels pity for me?" Mari asked sarcastically. "We won't ever get back together and if we did it would only be because I'm blind since he thinks I can see and he wants nothing to do with me."

"I think that Adrien does love you." Fu stated.

"He doesn't love me since he is leaving Paris." Mari replied. "He wants to start a new life without me."

"Since Mrs. Red is only guilty for being a culprit of the knowledge of the crime I ask for her to be given the minimum sentence possible." Lila's lawyer stated before sitting back down.

"Based on the declarations and your own confession. I declare you guilty of the attempt of murder against Mrs. Marinette Dupain-Cheng. From this moment on you're now arrested as a culprit and your sentence is for 10 years." The judge declared.

Adrien decided to not take Maya with him after all since he wouldn't want to take her out from the school and he was in a terrible mood with what happened with Mari earlier. He didn't even get to see Adrienne. It would be best if he went alone to clear his mind.

Mari was still in her room thinking about what happened with Adrien earlier when Ana walked in the room. After a while of talking Mari was spilling her feelings about Adrien to Ana. "If he's going far away it must mean that he doesn't love me. Maybe he never loved me Ana. He is free from any woman and instead of him staying with me and Adrienne he's going far away. What do you think? How would you feel If the man you love did what Adrien did to me?"

"Based on everything you told me that happened between the two of you...I would honestly hate him." Ana replied.

"Do you really think that? Doesn't that seem a bit too much?" Mari asked. "I mean at least it's not his fault that I'm blind or the blame for everything I suffered in my life."

"This is my own opinion. I advised you what you should do but it's up to you to decide." Ana replied. "It's hurts me to see you like this you might not be able to count on the father of Adrienne for long but you can always count on me."

"Thanks Ana you're a great friend. Did you get a new job yet?" Mari asked since with Roland in the hospital Ana lost her job.

"No not yet." Ana replied.

"Would you like to work for me?" Mari asked. "I could ask my parents to give you a job as my assistant."

"Wouldn't Fu feel left out?" Ana asked concern.

"No he already helps my mom with Adrienne. Plus at his age he's unable to take care of both of us I don't like bothering him." Mari replied. "I don't have hope to get my sight back anyway. I was told that I would be able to see at any moment but nothing yet...I'm accepting the fact that I'm going to be blind forever.

Later after Ana left Mari thought about what Ana told her about Adrien while holding Adrienne. Then she thinks about all the bad times she had with Adrien and finally the last thing he said to her.

"I want you to redo your life and I'll try to do the same."

"You mean find new love?"

"Maybe a new love."

"If he ever loved me he doesn't love me now." Mari said sadly. "Ana is right I should just forget about Adrien once and for all. I'm sorry dear but you won't have your parents together. We will do our own life and I'll give you love for both of us. Though...I can't hate him if I still love him."

The next day Tom's phone rang and he answered. "Hello?...how are you Agreste?...yes you left without saying goodbye...it's a shame you guys didn't get back together and that you're going on a trip...I understand I prefer to not get involved. Only you guys can solve your problems...Lila?...at what time?...yea I can go see you there."

"What I want is to go home with my dad." Lila told her lawyer and Detective Kurtzberg. "Stop bothering me just open the cell and tell dad to pick me up. When I get out from here I'll sue you for being a bad lawyer."

"With the way she is now we can't continue the trail. The analysis of evidence of her not being crazy needs to be put in her file before continuing the trail it's her right for that to happen." The lawyer stated

"Alright it's decided today she will be analyzed by Dr. Adrien Agreste." Detective Kurtzberg replied.

"Is dad home Fu?" Mari asked.

"No your dad left a while ago. It seems that he was going to meet up with Dr. Agreste." Fu replied.

"With Adrien? I hope he doesn't tell him that I'm still blind." Mari said worriedly. "I don't want Adrien to get close to me because of pity."

"Don't worry your dad doesn't want to get involved with your issue with him. It's about Lila. You know she's pretending to be crazy to not be judged." Fu replied.

"Did mom go with dad?" Mari asked.

"No she is at the house." Fu replied.

"Can you take me with her please. I want to talk to her. I want to ask her if she and dad can give Ana a job as my assistant until I get my sight back." Mari stated.

"That's a great idea." Fu replied.

Lila was taken into a room where Adrien was waiting for her to analyze her. "Were you told that I was going to do a psychological test on you?" Lila looked at him blankly. "You'll have to answer some questions and I hope you collaborate. What's your name?"

"Lila Dupain-Cheng." Lila replied softly. "Do I know you? I do right?"

Luka and Kagami set up everything to go to the ranch as soon as possible to start their new life together.

"So what is the important thing that you wanted to talk about?" Sabine asked Mari as they were in the garden.

"Well it's about my friend Ana. She was Roland's assistant but with Roland in the hospital she doesn't have a job anymore and I was hoping that you and dad would hire her as my assistant until I get my sight back...well if I get my sight back." Mari replied.

"You'll see that you'll get your sight back." Sabine stated. "And what does Fu think?"

"He's okay with it." Mari replied.

"Well if you both agree than there's nothing else to say she can start tomorrow." Sabine stated.

"Detective Kurtzberg just told me that Lila keeps pretending to be crazy to avoid going to prison." Tom stated once Adrien was done analyzing Lila.

Adrien sighs. "She's not pretending Tom. It's the truth Lila lost her sanity. She couldn't trick me...it's getting worse and at this rate it's going to be uncurable."

"I see Lila wanted to escape from the justice of the man but she couldn't escape from the justice of God." Tom stated.

"If she really did lose her sanity it's not convenient that she stays here." Detective Kurtzberg replied.

"She can't stay here she needs to go to a psychological hospital." Adrien stated. "As soon as possible."

"You know Fu I miss the neighborhood. Being able to ride my bike telling stories to the children. All my friends were there." Mari stated to Fu. "Though now there's Adrienne and I don't want her to live though what I did."

"Well why don't we ask your parents for primission to visit the neighborhood one day." Fu suggested.

"Yes I would love to visit the people in the neighborhood and visit Father Carlos at the church." Mari stated.

The next day Lila was taken to a psychological hospital and she looked at it blankly with a smile. "Are we at the spa?" From this point on Lila would live in her fantasy of being...Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

Adrien was in the airport waiting for his flight while thinking about his last kiss with Mari. His flight was called and he sighed walking to the gate.

Audrey took Maya and Teddy to the Dupain mansion and Maya ran over to Mari who was in the garden with Teddy by her side. "Mari!"

Hearing Maya she stood up. "Maya?" Maya hugged her and she hugged back. "What a surprise I didn't expect you to come...did your dad bring you?" She asked with hope.

"No he left to the airport this morning. Grandma Audrey brought me." Maya replied seeing that Audrey was walking up to them.

At that moment Teddy started barking. "Is that Teddy?" Mari asked bending down to pet him.

Teddy walked away and Mari tried to find him with her hand not knowing that Audrey was looking at her. "What's wrong Mari?"

Mari quickly stood up hearing her voice. "Mrs. Audrey?"

Audrey waved a hand in front of Mari but Mari not seeing it didn't react. "Mari you're still blind."
