Ruby went to the garden to get Maya but she only saw Adrienne so she took her back in and everyone in the house looked for Maya but they couldn't find her and everyone was worried. They called Audrey and she quickly arrived. "What's going on?"

"We can't find Maya we looked all over the house and she isn't anywhere. There's two options she went to the streets alone or someone took her." Mari replied concerned.

"No not my little Maya." Audrey said in tears. "Why didn't you let me sooner? Aren't you all adults?"

"We didn't know what to tell you but you're right Audrey sometimes adults behave worst than children." Tom replied. "Please accept our excuses."

"How did she disappear? What news do you have?" Audrey asked.

"We don't know anything. We hope that she's with Ana but Ana isn't answering her phone. It's either off or she can't answer for a reason." Sabine replied. At that moment Maya and Ana walked in and Maya went to hug Audrey and Ruby. "Ana what happened why were you with Maya where were you." Sabine asked.

"I was coming to the house when I saw Maya riding out from the gate with her bike unable to stop so I went after her. It was hard but I luckily stopped her before a car hit her." Ana replied.

"Thank you Ana If you weren't there who knows what would have happened." Audrey stated and everyone nodded.

"No need to thank me I was worried for her too." Ana replied.

Adrien was with Dr. Yavapai in the room of the patient who participated in the experimental surgery based on Adrien's theory. Adrien was obviously spaced out. "What's wrong Dr. Agreste?" Dr. Yavapai asked.

"Nothing." Adrien replied. "The analysis came out well it seems like the recovery is going well."

"Well I be able to see?" The patient asked.

"Keep in mind that you accepted to be part of this experimental surgery. We still need to wait until the time comes to take off your bandages but let's hope that you do get your sight back." Adrien replied.

Elsa smiled when she finished reading Michael's finished published poem book. "I just got your book Michael. It's a beautiful book and I'm satisfied just like how I know you would be. It will be published in your honor in our city Paris just like I promised you."

The next day Marc and Mari were talking and Tom was listening to them without them knowing. "Tell me the truth Mari if Adrien came to you right now and asked you to forgive him would you forgive him? Be honest with me."

Mari was about to answer when Tikki walked over to them with a package. "A package was brought for you Mrs. Mari."

"Really what is it?" Mari asked with a smile.

"Here I'll help you open it." Marc said helping Mari open the package and it was a merry-go-round. "It's a merry-go-round."

Mari took it and smiled. "I can't see it but like you said I can feel it and discover that it's very beautiful. Who is it from?"

"That's what we will find out right now." Tom said sternly walking over to them and taking the note. "The note says...I hope to one day take you to your happiness." Tom crumbled the note. "Tikki take that gift and throw it away. It's a gift from that man."

"How do you know that? Does the note says that it's from Adrien?" Mari asked.

"No but who else would it be from?" Tom asked sarcastically. "Throw it away Tikki."

"If you're going to throw it away can I keep it? It's very beautiful and it would be a shame to just throw it away." Tikki stated.

"I don't want to throw it away dad." Mari replied. "Please understand."

"All I understand is that you are disobeying me. I don't want anything in this house to remind you of Adrien Agreste." Tom stated.

"What about Adrienne? Doesn't she remind you of Adrien when you see her?" Mari asked.

"Adrienne is different you know that I'm not talking about her." Tom replied. "I'm talking about the gifts. I'm talking about that as much harm as he does to you, you can't forget about him."

"That's because I can't." Mari stated.

"You need to be able to and the best way to achieve that is to avoid him from sending you gifts and if he does to throw them away." Tom stated. "Tikki you can't keep it throw it away. Give it to me Mari."

Mari moved away. "Why do I need to throw away my gift?"

Marc stepped in between them. "Uncle Tom if you let me speak. That merry-go-round Is from me. I wanted to give my cousin a gift and I found it online and I knew that she would like it so I got it for her."

"You're not lying to me Marc?" Tom asked.

"I have no reason to lie to you uncle Tom." Marc replied.

"Alright but be warned Marc if I find out that it isn't from you...I'm going to work now." Tom stated before walking away.

"Thank you for helping me Marc...or did you really get me this gift and it's not from Adrien?" Mari asked.

"It must be from him but we can't let uncle Tom find out that it wasn't from me or he'll kick me out from the house." Marc said while chuckling. "We are family after all and all I wanted was to see you happy."

"I wouldn't let that happen to you since you're my favorite cousin." Mari replied.

"Like I said before you can count on me for anything that you need." Marc stated.

"And you can count on me for anything that you need Marc." Mari replied. "Can you check the note and see if it might say who it is from? Do you really think that it's from Adrien?"

"Uncle Tom said that it didn't say who it is from but let's see." Marc unfolded the note. "No it doesn't say from who it is from but what I can tell you is that whoever gave you that gift cares about you a lot."

Adrien was laying on his bed seeing a picture of Mari when his phone rang and he answered. "Hello?...of course I'll be there right away." Adrien hangs up and looks at the picture again. "Princess I'm going to the hospital. Today the bandages of the patient will be taken off...if he gets his sight back which seems to be the case than I'll be closer on seeing you again very soon. This has to work so I can cue you and you can see me again."

At the hospital Dr. Yavapai took off the bandages of the patient and once he was done..."Slowly open your eyes." Adrien stated and the patient slowly opened his eyes. "Do you see anything?"

"No I can't see anything." The patient replied.

Adrien sighs and frustrated he left the room and Dr. Yavapai went after him. "What's going on with you Dr. Agreste? You knew that this was an experiment I knew that so did the patient."

"And yet I think that it was a big failure." Adrien replied.

"You didn't fail I led the surgery and yet I don't feel like a failure. This is the first of many surgeries yet to come." Dr. Yavapai stated. "We'll keep going no matter how many times we fail. We'll keep going until we achieve our goals."

"You're right doctor but the more I fail the longer Mari will stay blind." Adrien replied. "The longer she stays blind the more every day seems like a torment for me."

"Than don't give up." Dr. Yavapai stated. "We need to fall many times before we can stand up."

A few weeks later it was the wedding day of Roxie and Edward. Everyone was there with Mari being the maid of honor and Jake being the best man as Adrienne and Maya were the flower girls. The wedding was beautiful and everyone cheered at the end of the ceremony as everyone started to congratulate them.

"I hope that you have a great honeymoon." Father Carlos told them with a smile.

"We will Father Carlos because our honeymoon will be for the rest of our lives." Edward replied.

"That's what I thought." Mari mumbled to herself before walking closer to them. "Roxie if Edward ever treats you badly than immediately tell me so I can put him in his place."

Everyone laughed. "Don't worry Mari I will." Roxie replied.

"What If Roxie treats me badly?" Edward asked playfully.

"I doubt it since she loves you with all of her heart." Mari replied.

In Boston Adrien and Dr. Yavapai were taking off the bandages of another patient. "Please open your eyes slowly." Adrien told the patient. The patient opened his eyes slowly. "Can you see?"

"No." The patient replied and Adrien sighs.

"Failure after failure is that all we are going to achieve?" Adrien asked Dr. Yavapai when they were in his office.

"Failure is what winners achieve I prefer to fail than win all the time." Dr. Yavapai replied. "The last thing that should be lost is faith and hope Adrien."

That night Mari was holding the merry-go-round. "I know that you gave me this gift Adrien. I love it...just like how I love you."

In a couple of days Roxie and Edward came back from their honeymoon and Ciel along with Christopher greeted them. "How was the trip?" Ciel asked.

"It was great we had so much fun." Roxie replied.

As they were talking Elsa walked up to them with her suitcase. "Good afternoon." Everyone was so surprised and hugged her happily. Elsa noticed the other suitcases. "And those suitcases? Who's going on a trip?"

"No one Elsa we just got back from our honeymoon." Edward replied. "Roxie and I got married last week."

"Well I'm glad to hear that you two finally reached your happiness." Elsa stated.

"How are you Ana?" Adrien asked Ana over video call.

"I'm doing good and before you ask Mari and Adrienne are doing good too." Ana replied. "Mari loves the merry-go-round you got her. She always plays with it though Mr. Tom almost made her throuw it away assuming that it was from you. Though thankfully Marc said that it was from him so she got to keep it."

"Marc? Who's Marc?" Adrien asked confused.

"Oh Marc is Mari's cousin Mrs. Sabine's nephew. He came to live at the house a few weeks ago since he's a professor at the University of Paris and he even teaches Mari since a few weeks ago she decided to study and become a fashion designer." Ana replied. "Ruby is also teaching her too...oh and between you and me there seems to be a romance blossoming between Ruby and Marc. Mari thinks the same thing and she actually wants to get those two together."

"Well I'm glad that Mari has someone else to count on especially if it's family." Adrien stated. "And about my sister and him...well based on what you said about him and the fact that he's family to the Dupain than he seems like a great guy and if Ruby decides to have a relationship with him I'll be okay with it. I just want Ruby to be happy like how I want Mari to be happy too."

Marc was reading a book about the Romantic Era to Mari but Mari couldn't understand anything. "Hold it professor I'm barely understanding what the Romantic Era was don't start giving me names and dates. I can't learn all of this in one sitting can't we do it step by step?"

"Sure but I warn you that professor Ruby won't be so easy on you." Marc said playfully.

Mari smirked. "I was wondering when you were going to mention her you can't go five minutes without talking about or to Ruby."

Later Ruby came to teach Mari and Mari could help but ask. "Ruby youu like my cousin Marc don't you?"

"Of course not Mari not him or anyone. You know that love wasn't made for me." Ruby replied.

Ana wanted to help Adrien a little more and she knew how to do it. Ana walked into Mari's room holding a piece of paper. "Mari a letter came for you." Ana handed Mari the piece of paper. It was actually blank but it was part of Ana's plan.

"Is it from Adrien?" Mari asked smiling.

"Yes it's from him." Ana replied. "I'll read it for you if you want." Mari nodded and Ana took the paper but obviously she didn't read it. "It says...Mari I have been considering a lot if I should write this letter to you or not since your dad isn't very fond of me right now and I know that you might not be fond of me right now either but I had to write to you and tell you how I feel...I know that you must be wondering where I am and why I left but I'm sorry I can't tell you the exact reason to you just yet...but I can tell you that I'm here wanting to prove to you how much I love you. I can't tell you when I'm coming back since I don't know myself but I do promise you that when I do come back it will be when I have the biggest surprise for you and everyone that cares about you. Please remember that I never have forgotten you or our daughter Adrienne and I can't wait to see you again. Remember I love you and only you. Take care Adrien." Ana didn't make up what she said since Adrien did tell her that was how he felt she just made it seem that Adrien wrote all of that to Mari.

It worked since Mari was glowing of happiness so much that Ana has never seen her like that before.

Back in Boston Adrien and Dr. Yavapai were taking off the bandages of another patient. "Do you see anything?" Adrien asked.

A couple minutes later they were in Dr. Yavapai's office in silence before Adrien smiled. "We did it Dr. Yavapai we did it."

"This was our first success of many." Dr. Yavapai replied returning the smile.

"It was worth the wait. Today we made history by returning the sight of someone that had no hope and we'll do the same for many others." Adrien stated.

"Well I'll let you know now after this success that I would like for you to stay work at this hospital permanently or you can go work in California since they have invited you to work at the best hospital there." Dr. Yavapai replied.

"Thank you but I still have a mission to fulfill and that's the most important thing for me right now." Adrien stated.

"Marc is it true that you finally admitted to Mari that you like Ruby Agreste or is it just one of her fantasies?" Ana asked Marc.

"No it's true I like Ruby but I won't push it after all she's still heartbroken with what happened with Mathew." Marc replied. "But I'm willing to wait as long as I need to."

Mari was happy with the supposedly letter that Adrien gave her but she suddenly thought of her dad and his words.

"You need to be able to and the best way to achieve that is to avoid him from sending you gifts and if he does to throw them away."

"I can't do that dad I can't...as much as I want to I can't stop loving Adrien Agreste...I always will even if our paths never cross again." Mari mumbled.

Marc walked over to her and sat next to her on the edge of the fountain. "Is something wrong Mari? It's the first time I see you this sad. You can tell me after all I'm like your brother right? Is there something I can do to cheer you up?"

Mari sighs. "Adrien sent me a beautiful letter that made me happy but then I remembered dad's words...I know that he is only trying to protect me but he can't make my heart feel a certain way...I can't even do that."

"Well I'm not leaving until I see you smile after all right now all the birds and flowers are sad too because of you. Don't you know that when you smile you light up the whole world." Marc stated and Mari smiled. "Aha I did it."

At that moment Ruby walked up to them and sat on the other side of Mari. "What are you two doing?"

"I'm trying to cheer her up because when she's sad everyone is sad." Marc replied with a smile.

"Well that's so true Marc so count me in." Ruby stated.

"Honestly besides knowing about Adrien the only thing that would make me happy is to go to school for blind people and to become someone important in the world." Mari replied feeling better.

Fu was walking in the back garden when he saw a woman who he never saw before picking flowers from the back garden. "Hello may I ask who you are?"

The woman looked over at him and smiled. "Hello I'm Marianne the new gardener of the Dupain mansion."

"Hello I'm Fu I live at the mansion as part of the family." Fu replied.

"I can't believe that Dr. Yavapai asked you to stay there to work and that California wants you too." Ruby told Adrien over video call.

"Yes it has become my new profession but right now the only thing important and that would make me happy is to bring back Mari's sight." Adrien replied. "Oh I heard that you might like her cousin Marc."

"What of course not him nor anyone." Ruby stated. "Why do you say that Adrien if you know that love wasn't made for me."

The next day Edward and Elsa bumped into each other at the hospital. "Elsa what are you doing here do you feel sick?"

"No I just came for a regular check up I just did some blood tests." Elsa replied. Soon they started talking about random things. "So Jake was your best man?"

"Yes and Mari was the maid of honor." Edward stated. "Adrien was going to take a long time and we couldn't wait any longer."

"I'm glad that you married Roxie. She's a great woman and I know that she'll make you happy." Elsa replied. "I wish you all the happiness in the world."

Without them knowing it Roxie was watching them talking since she went to visit Edward and she started to get the wrong idea so she just walked away.
